The 37 Best Restaurants in St. Louis, Missouri | Eater

"Craig and Mowgli Rivard worked together in a series of Brooklyn restaurants before the couple returned to Craig’s hometown to open this small neighborhood dinner spot in winter 2019. It has since become a place for outdoor gatherings on the large patio and a go-to for a growing crowd of regulars who stop by for specials like a chopped cheese, which somehow feels nostalgic even for people who have never tasted one. Elsewhere on the menu, French, Spanish, and Italian influences come together in dishes dictated by the seasons, such as crispy blowfish tail with squid ink romesco and Calabrian chile crunch. The bar program, led by Dakota Cortez, serves a perfect martini." - Holly Fann

The 32 Essential St. Louis Restaurants

"You know you’re getting close to Little Fox when you see a fire hydrant painted with a cheeky, little orange fox. The restaurant comes from Craig and Mowgli Rivard, two of a growing number of chefs and restaurateurs leaving jobs at esteemed restaurants in cities like New York and LA to open their own places in smaller, mid-sized cities. Early on, Little Fox established itself as a neighborhood restaurant providing easy, gracious service and offering deceptively simple dishes. Delicata squash is gently wrapped in a pale golden batter, reminiscent of traditional South Korean crispy fried sweet potatoes. Tender short ribs, barely clinging to the bone, get a luxurious treatment with Calabrian chili, Italian fish sauce, and grilled leeks and celery root. Little Fox is also the only restaurant in St. Louis currently offering an exclusively natural wine list." - Holly Fann

Beautiful small cozy atmosphere. Service was amazing. Make sure you eat without plans set after. The main dishes took a little longer than what we anticipated but the food & the visual presentation of the dishes were worth the wait

Google
The brunch menu offers great, non-traditional dishes. Both the green tomato benedict and trout hash were delicious. I was surprised though, by the limited coffee options - just drip coffee, cold brew, and a $10 matcha latte. Not having any espresso drinks struck me as a bit odd for a brunch spot, but the food was good enough that I’d go back.

Google
Little Fox is my favorite restaurant to visit every time I come back home to the Lou. Their bar staff are incredibly knowledgeable and very attentive to any allergies that you may have to both food and cocktails. I highly recommend the jammy eggs at their brunch service, and their Duck for dinner. Their wine selection is extremely diverse and their craft cocktails are fantastic. They knock the ball out of the park every time I dine with them!

Good heavens. Everything was so good that I woke up full this morning, twelve hours later, and was not mad about it. 🤗 I feel this can’t be true, but the Garganelli was probably the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. That’s a really high bar. Just the creaminess and the pulled pork oh my god. A very simple yet beautiful dish. Recommended to us by the waitress! Mushrooms were arguably better than wolf in the woods’ hen of the woods which is saying a LOT. The crispy green tomatoes were so fresh and the batter was super crunchy. Basil sauce was to die for. Stracciatella was fire too PORK CHOOOOOOOP. Post-Lolinda, I have way too high expectations for pork chops. Little fox pork chops met them. I will say that my love for the pork chops was cut short once they brought out the steak. What a delectable steak. Also not even a fan of big fried potatoes but the ones that came with the steak might have changed my life? I didn’t know they could do that to potatoes with such big surface areas. Duck was good, but I can’t judge it objectively because I was so full at this point that nothing could taste great anymore. And just look at that beautiful bar!

Google
We had such a great brunch here. We were a party of 7 without a reservation, and I was blown away by the hospitality we were shown. Cheerful, welcoming and attentive service throughout. The food and drinks were incredible, thoughtful menu with lots of fresh produce incorporated and something tasty for everyone. Even our kids had a wonderful experience at a place without a kids menu. One of them said of her BLT, “it tastes like hallelujah!” 😂 Highlights were the cocktails, BLT on fresh focaccia, green tomato benny, and the fennel sausage. We will plan to come back next time we’re in STL!

Google
Absolutely loved our experience at Little Fox. Every dish was beautifully balanced and full of flavor. Thoughtful, seasonal, and clearly made with care. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect note between relaxed and refined. Easily one of the best dining experience in St. Louis. Can't wait to come back.

Google
Savory mushroom, succulent steak and sublime draft cocktail . One of the best budino’s I’ve ever had. I highly recommend

Google
Great brunch place in St Louis - we tried the smoked trout hash, egg sandwiches, ricotta pancakes and waffle and lox - all were cooked to perfection. Home-made bread, seasonal toppings on all the plates, fresh squeezed juice - a great find in St Louis with a creative menu.

Yelp
Little Fox is a VIBE. If you're looking for an elevated, memorable experience, I highly recommend checking them out. I sat on the patio on a nice summer evening and it was lovely. I started with the stracciatella which was delicious. The pickled corn and delicious bread really brought it all together. It was very fresh and tasty. The garganelli was insane. The pasta is freshly made and there's just enough meat in it to make it hearty but not overfilling. The presentation and taste was so good. I ended with the olive oil chocolate tart was really lovely as well. I loved the sea salt on top which balanced out the sweetness. Little Fox is a must go!

Yelp
The space? Adorable! Food and drinks? Delicious! Service? The best you could ask for! This sums up my first visit to Little Fox. We were able to snag a reservation with no problem on the day of, and as tempting as it was to sit in the cute outdoor patio, 85°F weather made us decide to sit indoors. The wooden accents with a bit of beautiful blue color and plants gave the space a cute and cozy vibe. The server introduced himself soon after we sat down and was very understanding of our need to eat quickly for post-dinner plans. He even helped us choose our food as we wanted to try sharing 3-4 small plates between two people. We ended up ordering two mocktails and the 'Nduja Croquetta, Summer Squash Salad, Short Rib, and Royal Trumpet Mushrooms. The Croquettas were a deliciously carb-y start to our meal with cheesy rice with crispy breading on the outside. Squash Salad was very refreshing and light and the Short Ribs were very hearty and complex, all the while being very tender. Royal Trumpet Mushrooms were good, but my friend noticed that unlike the last time she had visited, when the dish only had trumpet mushrooms, this time it was half trumpet and half button mushrooms. As for the mocktails, I was really hoping for the cute fox ear decor on top, but alas, I guess it was only for the "real" cocktails. We ordered a Sober Poet and Lower Canopy and both were delicious. If I had to choose, I felt that Lower Canopy was a better-balanced drink though. Although I was originally concerned about both the timing of the meal (we only had 45 minutes from walking in) and the portion sizes, we left right on time and were satisfied with the amount of food shared. I can't wait to come back to try out the plates (entrees) when I have more time.

Yelp
This was my first time at little fox, and I was not disappointed! It is super cute inside, with lots of tables, and bar seating. We had a reservation at 6, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. We tried so many dishes, and they were all great! I highly recommend going to shared plates route, because everything is so good. The cocktails were great as well! I will be back, and I cannot wait to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Lovely place for a date night. The ambience is good and the menu is large and interesting. For 2 people, this is what we shared: -Her Name was Lola Cocktail: 7/10 - Nice sweetness but had a good bitterness. You do get a dry aftertaste from the liquor. -Potato churros: 9/10 - SO light, so crispy, so rich. The sauce that you dip them in is a lovely thick aioli. These were addictive. -Braised Ribs: 8.5/10 - I liked how flavorful the braise and sauce was, but I do wish the ribs had been a bit thicker and perhaps a bit moister. They were by no means chewy but I did wish it was more "melt-in-your-mouth." -Flatiron Steak: 6/10 - Got this rare. Not the best steak I've had, and came kind of lukewarm. The crispy potatoes are exquisite, though. -Garganelli: 9/10 - The butter sauce was delectable, and the pork was just so rich and tender. I've never had this shape of noodles before and I think it lent itself really well to the dish.

Yelp
Took an out of town friend here for brunch. Just the cutest most hipsterific space. We sat on the patio in perfect weather. They serve coma coffee . I got the fried green tomato Benedict that balled so hard the south wanted to find us. Street parking was plentiful. Staff threaded that needle between attentive and hovering

Yelp
Delicious foods, amazing service and perfect atmosphere for romantic dinner or small group of friends. We particularly like pork chops and trumpet mushrooms. Great drink (mocktails) selections.

Yelp
Little Fox has some of my favorite bites ever. Not to mention the service is amazing, the dining room is beautiful, and the patio is relaxing. I've had almost everything on the menu and it's all incredible. Some of the highlights are the cannellini crostini, mushrooms, carne cruda, and short ribs. Highly recommend the blueberry cake. The cocktails are strong (the carajillo is so balanced) and the wine is crisp. 10/10 one of the best in stl.

Yelp
We've already been here a bunch so I'm just adding a couple more photos. We tried the short rib which was tasty but could have been a little more filling in my opinion. I liked this other dip appetizer (I can't remember the name but it started with a S) I love sitting on their patio! So cozy!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to try brunch (love their dinner) and enjoyed my waffle & lox. Great corn based waffle that went well with the lox, but wish there had been more lox on top. Flavor was great and my friends loved their Brunch sandwiches. Service was wonderful as always!

Yelp
Little fox is located at the heart of fox park st. louis. It's a cozy little vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. While the menu is relatively approachable and the drinks try to pair well with the food. The experience was a bit underwhelming. Curiously enough, the churros were under fried while the artichoke hearts carried more fry than flavor. I think more than anything was how exhausting long the service took. We spent more time waiting for anything to hit the table than actually eating. While some level of detail was taken in the crafting the menu, little attention is given to tableside service.

Yelp
Little Fox is a must visit! Have done dinner and brunch here and recommend a stop in for both. Light and bright ambiance but have to admit that the seating isn't the comfiest. The booth seating is very upright but isn't enough to detract from the yummy experience. Love the shareable small plates, things change seasonally so if you see something that looks good try it! Service has been great every time, timely without hovering. Potato churros are a must order for us every time we are in for dinner...perfectly crispy with a rich flavor. The cavatelli pasta this visit is also a strong recommendation. Both times we have had pasta here, it has been stellar!

Yelp
My partner surprised me with a birthday dinner at Little Fox and I would 100%. The staff is incredible-- warm, welcoming and extremely helpful! We ordered two cocktails the Wild Thing and Weekend Away both were great. We settled on small plates to share and ordered the following: Snacks: Potato Churros, Ndujah Croquettes The potato churros were perfectly crispy and airy. The Croquettes were decadent and flavorful. Small Plates: Gem Salad (fresh, herby and delicious!), carne cruda (light, mustardy) mussels (broth was delicious and such a big fan of the crusty buttered bread) and cavatelli (such a great pasta dish that I kept coming back to). Dessert: Chocolate Olive Oil Tart (to die for and the perfect end to our meal). We loved the space and being able to see the kitchen work. Incredible experience

Yelp
I had been wanting to go to Little Fox for a long time with it having so many accolades. Overall the food was good, but felt overpriced. Would return again for some items you can't get anywhere else in St Louis Tried: so much stuff - shared a bunch of plates which I recommend doing Loved: beef tartare, potato churros Liked: the service was okay but could be more helpful. The mocktails were good but overpriced
google avatar

Adam M.

Yelp
We were led here by the phenomenal reviews, and they did not disappoint. Dishes ranged from very good to outstanding, ranking them in order of favorites. Cavatelli: probably my favorite dish, rich without being too heavy handed on the cream, with a nutty topping that balanced it out well. Trumpet mushrooms: great texture, not oily, perfect preparation. Short ribs: good flavor, smallish portion, nice flavor to sauce. Good texture. Snack cannellini beans--great crunch and the perfect starter. Straciatella: pretty good but nothing exceptional, probably my least favorite dish Wine: tropical nosed sparkler from Italy. Really enjoyed this and at a good price point of ~$50/btl.

Yelp
Little Fox is always a treat! The atmosphere, service, and rotating menu are top notch. If you can catch it in the summer, get the tomato salad-- I dream of it off season! Cocktails are always on point too.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing meal from start to finish! I loved the concept of mixing entrees, small plates, and snacks. The menu offers a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Each dish was beautifully crafted, full of flavor, and had different texture combinations. The service was top-notch - warm, attentive, and classic (they even fold your napkin when you leave the table). The aesthetic is simple yet elegant. A charming little restaurant tucked away in the heart of Fox Park serving seriously good food.

Yelp
I have heard so many amazing reviews about this restaurant and I finally was able to go for brunch this past weekend. It did not disappoint! The restaurant is tucked into a corner of a neighborhood. Street parking was very plentiful and easy to find. There were indoor and patio seating, so I can't wait to come back for an outdoor brunch. The inside had a nice casual vibe with an open kitchen. I've always said the way I judge a brunch place is if they have freshly squeezed orange juice. Little Fox passed the test. We started with the Oeufs et Mayo mainly because I usually can't say no to anything that resembles a deviled egg. That plate was empty in less than a minute. For the main dishes we got the Smoked Trout Hash and Braised Short Rib Sandwich, with the crispy fingerling potatoes and housemade spam. The hash was good, but it was about 90% potatoes and 10% trout. Although that 10% was outstanding. The Short rib sandwich was the winner here. Both sides were good, but nothing too special. Overall, Little Fox lived up to the hype. The brunch menu was excellent and I cannot wait to return to explore the dinner options! Oeufs et Mayo: 5/5 Smoked Trout Hash: 2/5 Braised Short Rib Sandwich: 5/5 Potatoes and Spam: 3/5 Orange Juice: Freshly Squeezed

Yelp
This was our 2nd time, and it was fabulous again! Delicious food, great ambience, terrific service, and easy parking in the lot next to the restaurant. We can't wait to eat here again
google avatar

Yelp
Little fox was very good. It's a nice place to go for special occasions. My favorites were the mushrooms which were very tender and flavorful as well as the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly. We also got the blueberry dessert which had a crumble on the bottom which was unfortunately too salty for me but otherwise would go back and try more dishes!
google avatar

Audrey B.

Yelp
Little Fox was such a nice place with some pros and cons. It's cute, intimate, and neutral but modern. In between casual and upscale. I thought the tables were a lot uncomfortably close together when it got busy and the acoustics weren't great for a crowded room - it was difficult to hear each other from across the table. The food was so good. I was surprised that there were so many quality vegetarian options. The cavatelli was my favorite. It was very expensive but I'd go back for a special occasion during a less popular time.

Yelp
I brought my mom to Little Fox as a gift this week! It was both of our first times there and we had heard great things. First, the service was great. It got a bit slower when the restaurant was busy, but our server was really nice and helpful. We also were sat near the kitchen which is open, so we could see them cooking some, which I love! For drinks, I got the Fox Trot and the Pomona and my mom got the cigar lounge. We loved every drink - they were all SO unique and had so many flavors, and I liked that they were fairly strong. We split a number of things for food. Potato churros were so light and delicious and the sauce was amazing. The short ribs were also delicious and I loved the spice on them! The mussels were the least impressive thing we tried - they were okay but nothing special. Bread was delicious though with them! We also got the pork chop - would highly recommend! Perfectly cooked and the seasoning was so so so good! Normally I don't get dessert but after looking at the menu, we decided on the sticky toffee pudding (which hand not been on the menu online so it was a nice surprise)! I thought maybe it would be dense and we would need to take some home.. absolutely wrong. It was probably the best thing we ate all night - absolutely PERFECT, super light and delicious and the flavor was amazing. Do NOT skip dessert here! I can't wait to come back!!
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
We made reservations and it was very seamless. We did get there a little earlier but we got seated right away. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and suggested some things to order. We ordered 'Nduja Croquetas, Short Ribs, Royal Trumpet Mushrooms, Crispy Green Tomatoes, and Cavatelli Trapanese. We ordered a dessert, semifreddo. We thought the food was delicious especially the royal trumpet mushrooms and cavatelli trapanese. We didn't really care for the short ribs. We had a good experience and would definitely be back. They do change their menu.
google avatar

Wanda H.

Yelp
Aaaaaand it's a GREAT place for brunch! Delicious food, attentive service, and THE place to be!!! A bit loud, but they keep the seating at no more than 6, so that helps with hearing each other.

Yelp
We had a nice meal here a few days ago after snagging a last minute reservation that we saw pop up online. The space has a simple design, but feels pleasant to be in, and who doesn't love all the old brick in St. Louis? Their Porch Light cocktail is ahhh-mazzzzing--so light and refreshing and absolute heaven on a swelteringly hot day. They also have a good saison on tap from Side Project. Starting with apps: While we loved that they used fresh artichokes for their crispy artichoke app, some pieces were a bit *too* crispy. Nice dip tho. The stracciatella was wonderful flavor-wise, but the whole dish was really runny, like a bowl of soup, so it needed some textural contrast, or at the very least more than the two measly slices of bread that it came out with. Same with the heirloom tomato salad, which was zippy, but ended up being super mushy and watery. Why macerate *all* the tomatoes? Keep some of those beauties intact! Again, it was a mostly liquidy bowl and we ended up needing a spoon more often than not. For mains, we loved the flat iron steak even though it came out medium rare when we ordered it medium for our daughter. The garganelli dish had some of the juiciest pork that we've ever consumed (so good!) but at least half of our pasta was on the wrong side of al dente, so not quite sure what went wrong there, but nobody likes a semi-raw noodle. That said, the acidity in the dish from the pickled shallots was spot on. Our server was lovely, as were all the other workers that we encountered that night. While we really feel like this was more of a 3.5-star experience, we're rounding up to 4. Regardless, we would recommend Little Fox to others, as you can certainly have a fun time and mostly impressive dining experience here.
google avatar

Yelp
I have dined here three times now and it's always been a great experience. food is always good and best beef tartare in town ! I would come back just for that, but also, their short rib was delicious. I recommend ordering few diff plates all at once, they kind of bring out in order of which they want you to enjoy, so thoughtful. drinks were amazing here as well and great wine selection too. cute patio! on a nice sunny day their patio is always popping reservation is recommended but not required!
google avatar

Fontaine C.

Yelp
My experience for a Saturday brunch is enjoyable. Food and service are both top-notch. The menu has great variety. We enjoy everything we ordered. I love the smoked trout hash and the pork & grits very much. As far as ambience, it's a little noisy but still very comfortable to talk and enjoy the food. 100% I'd come back. Highly recommend Little Fox for brunch.

Yelp
Who knew? I went to a brunch with friends at this restaurant on Shenandoah. I had never heard of it until then. Cute little diner and they were hopping on a Sunday at 11am. We had made reservations ahead of time and were seated right away. I was excited to see a version of one of my favorite Bourbon drinks was in the cocktail menu Little Fox calls it the Yellow Jacket. Bourbon, Hot Honey, Blood Orange and Fire Bitters. Not too hot to sip. Warms you up! For brunch I ordered the Waffle and Lox which was delicious and beautifully served. Then we ordered two desserts to share. Yum! Great service and we had a great time. I highly recommend the brunch!
google avatar

Yelp
Took my mom when she came to visit and it was incredible!! Everything we ordered was a recommendation from our server. Our favorites were the bolognese pasta, pork chop, and mushrooms but I would order everything again. You have to eat family style here to try everything! Drinks were also excellent and not too sweet. There are very limited seats so would recommend early reservations.

Yelp
W O W !!!!!! Haven't enjoyed a meal out this much in awhile. Parking...easy. There's a lot across the street. Ambiance was lovely. Very open... we liked we weren't jammed too close to others. We could see chefs preparing food from our table. Noticeably clean. Server was Brenna. She clearly explained the food and menu format and was paying attention without hovering. So, thank you Brenna. OMG the spring greens soup. Who would ever have thought I'd wake up the next day haunted by a few spoonfuls of soup. I did, and I am. Our table ordered the steak, the bass and the pasta. Previously I loved the pork chop. I think next time we go I'll focus on the small plates. Oh, the desserts we shared were the blueberry cake and the chocolate tart. BOTH were incredible. One other comment I have is that there's something on the menu for everyone. If you haven't dined here, GO, TREAT YOURSELF. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to all who make Little Fox one of st Louis' best restaurants. Maybe THE BEST right now.

Yelp
We came for brunch, so this review is based on that experience--though we were told they also serve dinner. For brunch, the food was genuinely impressive. Despite standard portion sizes, everything felt indulgent and satisfying. My steak was cooked beautifully and paired perfectly with the chimichurri sauce--it was definitely a standout dish. The overall setting also made it a great spot for an aesthetic girls' brunch or even a date night. Bonus points for being on Resy--it made reserving a table much easier compared to other popular brunch spots in St. Louis.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered from drinks to dessert was amazing. The specials vary based on the few times we've been there and they're all amazing. The service is top notch and the space is so quaint and hip. Such a gem in the area!

Yelp
First time dining at Little Fox and we had an incredible time. No shortage of great small plates to start with but the server graciously helped us land on land on the crostino. Next we had the trumpet mushrooms (highlight of the meal) and the cavatelli (not too heavy but incredibly filling). We wrapped it up with the flatiron steak and was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We sat out on the patio which was perfect for a cool summer night. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Our first time here. The service was great; very attentive without hovering. The menu has something for everyone and enjoyed everything. The crispy artichokes were a bit fibrous and the "chokes" were not removed, probably wouldn't order again. Fried green tomatoes were good but could have used salt. The mushrooms were the standout. If you like mushrooms this is a must have; they are AMAZING. The bass was great as well as the duck. I ordered the duck medium rare but it came out medium but was still exceptional in flavor. The fat was rendered and crispy (yum). The chocolate tart was outstanding and paired well with their coffee. Can't wait to return for the steak.

Yelp
Phenomenal dinner on the patio. Servers are knowledgeable, attentive, and really hospitable. Food is delicious and well executed. Love this place.

Yelp
Excellent! We would go back in a second. Stellar menu, servers, atmosphere. Whether it's for a casual night out, or special celebration, definitely book this place and early as they tend to fill up.

Yelp
Literally our fave spot in the city. Best BLT and salad ever. Came home and tried to recreate it all!

Yelp
Best Steak I've Ever Had, & that's saying A LOT!!! Great Servers! Trendy atmosphere, yet still cozy! Exceptional creative menu ~ Thx Chef!

Yelp
We live just a few minutes from here and this spot has been on my list FOREVER. I'm so glad we finally tried it, it will definitely be on the rotation. This is the spot for sharing. Sure, they have entrees (and they're fantastic) but this is a spot I would bring a couple friends and would love to split all the snacks and small plates with! Everything looks SO good it was hard to choose what we wanted to try. We ended up with the croquetas, trumpet mushrooms, artichokes, and flat iron steak. My husband said it was the perfect amount to not get too full it makes you feel sick. I wish I could figure out how they make the artichokes, so perfect and crispy. The sauces all paired so well. The steak was cooked to perfection. And we decided we could eat 100 croquetas. Service was fantastic all night and I was so happy to see they served orange wines. Such a fantastic experience, there's a reason they're so highly rated in St. Louis.

Yelp
Little Fox is a cute little gem in fox park with a great patio and a very gorgeous dining area. If you sit in one side of the restaurant, you get to see right into the open kitchen. If you sit in the bar side you will be by the gorgeous bar and intimate lighting throughout. I was very happy with the drink menu, it was very unique with tons of liquors I've never heard of. I also had a glass of wine which is on the pricier side and was disappointed to have barely got any in my glass. The apps were super delish and the flavors were unique. Beans on toast? SO GOOD. Our main dishes were pretty good but I was not blown away for the price point. The pasta was light and fresh. The pork chops were fatty and a bit too chewy. The steak was amazing!!! Overall, this is such a cute intimate place was high quality drinks and good eats. I'd love to come back for brunch!

Yelp
My number one gripe is that it took me SO LONG to finally get to little fox. Not completely my fault, as reservations are definitely decently hard to snag unless you're planning well in advance or go early in the week which we did. The spot is absolutely beautiful. Definitely will need to go back and sit at the bar. Love the open kitchen as well. The staff is all incredible, and super attentive. I absolutely love any time a restaurant recommends ordering your dishes all at once. It means they are being super intentional in what order you eat what, and making sure the last dish compliments the next. We started with the crispy artichokes and pancetta costino, which were fantastic. We also had the carne cruda, mussels, bone marrow and onion soup, and bolognese Bianco. Everything was superb, but the cruda and bolognese were especially good! The cocktails were well crafted as well, and I was delighted to see the Bartlett which featured aquavit! One of my favorites! Can't wait to go back and try the brunch menu, their dinner plates, and more cocktails! Such a cute spot that does everything well!

Yelp
Overall the dining experience was good. The food and drinks were great (especially the mushroom dish). The location is wonderful for us. The atmosphere is nice. I like the decor and lighting. The patio looks like a great place to sit. This place comes highly rated and we were very excited to try it. The only issue is the menu description for the succotash dish. It comes with salmon but the word salmon is not in the description. I thought it was a vegetarian dish. I told the server, I don't eat meat and maybe she just assumed land animals. But the night wasn't ruined, I ate my boyfriend's potatoes and veggies and he had my salmon.

Yelp
We made a reservation at 6pm and were seated immediately as we arrived. I noticed that every seat at the bar was full, and most tables were occupied - although I thought WE were the early birds to dinner service! Lovely, vibrant space. Attentive service. And outstanding food. Would definitely come back for happy hour or casual date night!

Yelp
Brandon our waiter set the mood with a quick smile and plenty of knowledge about the food. This was my first time here but it will not be the last. We started with mock tails that were inventive and fried artichokes with verde sauce while we went through the menu. They were delicious with and with out the sauce. The menu was obviously taking their craft seriously. My partner had the mussels that were small and delicious with house made bread and a delicious broth for dipping it in. I had the duck breast that was perfectly cooked on delicious asparagus with gigantic beans ie, fava beans I believe in a surprisingly light broth that was brilliant. The wine list was moderately priced with some seriously delicious selections available. The patio is first come first served the tables inside are reservations. It is intimate but not crowded a great evening out from start to finish. Overall the price was well worth the experience.

Yelp
The food is an amazing cross between familiar and creative. Everything is fresh and flavorful. The staff are well coordinated so you are well attended. It's an open space but not so open it sounds like a cafeteria.

Yelp
#brunch at Little Fox in Fox Park is just amazing! Little Fox in adorable Fox Park, St. Louis, captivates with their new brunch. Their cocktail game has always been top notch so their brunch cocktails are no different. The Top Hat and Good Morning Manhattan, cold brew concoctions with a boozy twist, set a festive brunchy tone. Indulge in a waffle and lox masterpiece featuring beet-cured salmon and a lively frisee-arugula salad . That's right! The expanded bread menu, with Pullman bread egg sandwich and French toast sticks, adds a comforting indulgent touch. Mowgli and Craig Rivard craft a unique dining experience, blending NYC, Italian, and Californian influences. Little Fox breathes fresh life into Italian cuisine with inventive dishes. Your last task is to scoop some friends so you can try as many dishes as possible!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! I came here for dinner with a friend, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was fast and attentive to our table, and with every food that we ordered, we finished everything and left no crumbs! What we ordered for our table were: -Njuda Croquettas -Stracciatella (I highly recommend this for an appetizer. It was so, so good) -Flat Iron Steak (It was good, but it is a small plate for me, so I ordered another entree) -Pork Chop (Great addition on top of flat iron steak! Juicy and delicious) -Olive Oil Chocolate Tart (This was okay; if you like dark chocolate, you can order this!) -Sticky Toffee Pudding (I highly recommend this dessert. I finish it in less than 2 minutes! So delicious) The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. I love the interior design. It is sleek, modern, and inviting.

Yelp
I cannot stop thinking about how good brunch was here . I ordered the braised short rib sandwich and substituted the fingerling potatoes in place of the escarole salad it came with. They used union loafers bread and it was the perfect texture and thickness. Definitely not a dry or boring sandwich. Also, pictured is the fried green tomatoes Benedict. It was very tasty and light as it didn't come with the normal English muffin. Our server was attentive and knew the menu in great detail. Make sure you check out this cute place and I can't wait to go back to sit on the patio.

Yelp
Little Fox is such a gem! It's one of my Go to brunch spots I went for a girls day and also my birthday this year and it didn't disappoint. The service is always wonderful and we got seated quickly. All the food has been good my favorite is the pork and grits and the eggs Benedict! My number one goes to the Italian Benedict- polenta cakes, poached eggs, salami rossa, chive, parmesan hollandaise, arugula salad.. 2nd runner up is Pork & Grits- Newman Farm pork, white cheddar grits, sunny side up egg, crispy shallot!! YUMMMM Their cocktails are both authentically pleasing and delicious! You won't be disappointed by this cute spot!
