"Little Georgia is one of our top places to be during a storm. Or even just when it’s cold. Or when we’re sad. Really any situation that can be fixed with a cheery welcome, mukuzani red wine, khachapuri, and warming bowls of ajabsandali, a hearty tomato and aubergine stew. This wholesome Georgian spot is popular with groups, so come 8pm the volume creeps up and birthday slabs of honey cake get the whole restaurant singing." - jake missing, sinead cranna
"Vintage knick-knacks—old dial-up telephones, posters, and dangly fairy lights—and solid dishes make Little Georgia, a wholesome Islington spot, one of our top places to be during a storm. Or even just when it’s cold. Or when we’re sad. Really any situation that can be fixed with a cheery welcome, glass of mukuzani red wine, and warming bowls of ajabsandali—a hearty tomato and aubergine stew." - sinead cranna
"Sorry, but do the words ‘gooey cheese-filled bread’ do anything for you? It worked, didn’t it. What was a diabolical headspace has become a slightly less, khachapuri-filled, diabolical headspace. We’re familiar with the feeling, and that’s why Little Georgia is also near the top of the list when we’re looking for a delicious cheesy and carby lift. The Georgian spot is delivering from its Hackney location and we’d recommend getting some blinis too." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing
"Please sing the following to the tune of Craig David’s iconic hit ‘7 Days’: Ordered a pizza on Tuesday. Ordered another pizza on Wednesday. And on Thursday, and Friday, and Saturday. Ate crust on Sunday. Yes, welcome to our new weekly routine, but it’s time to ditch old faithful for a big, old khachapuri instead. A huge, traditional cheese bread stuffed with yet more cheese, you can order one from Hackney’s Little Georgia. You can’t go wrong with their stews and salads either." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"“Children are terrifying. Yes, in the ‘lifelong commitment and I don’t really know how to change a nappy’ way, but also in the way that they can be pretty creepy. The Others is one of those extra-jumpy horrors about a haunted house and a family based in ‘some time before the internet’. Pair it with a khachapuri from Little Georgia, which is big enough to hide behind and offers the comfort of cheese whenever that ominous score starts or the kids start humming.” - HLB" - oliver feldman, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
