I loved the service here! I don't think at any restaurant I've been too.has the staff been so friendly. From the hostess, to waiters, to servers and bussers, they were all just so helpful and friendly! The place had a couple of large parties, and our food didn't take long at all. My food was good, not great, and my padta and sauce a little on the lukewarm side, but everything else looked so fresh. I know everyone thought their food was delicious. It was our first time here, but it definitely won't be our last. The atmosphere is also so welcoming and homey. You've got to visit!

Classic little Italian joint. Crowded on a Saturday night. Food was good. The marinara was thick and not over ladled on the pastas. Our server Daniel was cool, they were just super full towards the end of the night so waiting for drinks took a while. If you're not coming here in a rush, and are looking for a nice laid back dining experience, check it out. The wine list was good and reasonable as well.

Little Italy restaurant in San Antonio Tx, great service, delicious food and best Tiramisu dessert in town! Hidden gem in the corner of West Avenue and Blanco Rd., with plenty of parking lot (and no parking fees ;) ) They have all the Italian classics you want, and the plates are very generous, tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed the food service and attention. I love the little Pizza slices they bring when you arrive, perfect to start your Italian experience. And please do not forget to get the Tiramisu, it’s absolutely amazing! Note: I personally did not enjoy the calamari, bite everything else was delicious.

The atmosphere is quaint and very much Italy like. Our waitress Jenn was superb. She waited on us promply and came around several times to make sure we were good with our food. He was super friendly and a joy to converse with. She is so very pleasant with a constant smile on her face. The FOOD was superb. They immediately placed two small slices of cheese pizza on our table as a sample. Very delicious and unexpected. We had the margherita pizza and the shrimp parmigiana and both dishes were excellent.

Outstanding Catering Service - Highly Recommended! I can't recommend this catering service enough! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put a lot of care into what they do. A special shoutout to the lovely lady and gentleman who delivered and set everything up. They were professional, friendly, and made sure everything was set up perfectly. Their attention to detail was impressive, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. If you're looking for catering that not only tastes amazing but also comes with top-notch service, this is the one to go with. 10/10 would recommend!

We decided to revisit Little Italy for our anniversary dinner. I will note, it is, it has been a few years since I've been to this restaurant. The restaurant is true to its private locally owned roots and has maintained a very Italian and relaxed atmosphere inside. The service staff is very good, and attentive. Some complimentary small pizza slices were offered as a sampling. These were very good. We began with the stuff mushrooms. These were OK, but had a little too much liquid for my tastes. Our main entrées were the Chicken Alfredo, which had a choice of salad or soup. The salad was ordered and good. The other entrée was Chicken Parmesan, which also had a choice of salad or soup and choice of pasta. Soup order, and was minestrone. My pasta choice was Angel hair pasta with a butter garlic sauce vs. red sauce. I ordered a Peroni beer for my beverage. There were some large parties in the restaurant. I note this because our pasta and dishes came to us a little on the cool side. I did not make any remarks to the service staff, but in hindsight probably should've when I didn't see the pasta or dishes steaming when they came to the table. The staff did bring us a complimentary dessert for our special occasion. It was a slice of Tiramisu, which was unexpected and nice. I have no doubt the food recipes are authentic Italian and probably family secrets. For me the red sauce on the chicken parmesan was missing something that I could not put my finger on what the ingredient(s) missing were. The cool pasta dishes and the taste are the reasons for not awarding a 5th star. Overall, the food was OK, the service excellent and the atmosphere excellent, with a nice decor and some music playing in the background and not so loud that you couldn't have a regular conversation. I hope that if you visit, that you give the staff your feedback and your service experience is as good as mine or better.

Been going here since I was a kid. The same family owns it, and they are wonderful people. The food is consistently good. It is a cut above other Italian restaurants I have been to in San Antonio. The pizza could compete for best pizza in the city every single year and win every time likely as not. You need to go here! If you're looking for something good to do in San Antonio, you've found it!

From the moment we walked in, Dominic “The Bossman” made us feel right at home. Jenn, our waitress, was absolutely the best — warm, attentive, and full of personality. We were greeted with complimentary slices of the house margarita pizza, a wonderful start to the evening. Our meal was a true Italian feast: small salad, small pizza, seafood salad, eggplant parmigiana, and Fruta Del Mar. Every dish was delicious — full of flavor, beautifully prepared, and perfect for sharing. We enjoyed a smooth Chianti and crisp white wine, finishing with rich cappuccinos for dessert. What a night! Excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you, Little Italy — we’ll definitely be back! 🇮🇹🍷

Yelp
I'm not one to leave reviews. But I had the pleasure of being served by Linda at little italy last week and she went above and beyond to make the experience amazing. She was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail, making sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The way she explained the menu and checked in at just the right times made the meal feel extra special. Not only was my pasta and dessert delicious, but the service made the whole evening unforgettable. Highly recommend asking for her if you come here--you'll be in great hands!

Yelp
Wife and i had dinner a few days ago, I love the Italian Stallion plate. Wife had Shrimp Scampi, amazing dish. she let me sneak a bite. I can't say enough about this Restaurant. I've been coming here since 1990's. The minute you walk in the door, you feel like family. Our server Kelly just reinforced the feeling with great service and attention to detail. We'll always come back, you should too. BTW ask for "KELLY"

Yelp
Good Italian Food..... Waitstaff are great !!! It's an old comfy place, great for dinner or a date !!

Yelp
Spacious parking was the first good sign! Walking in, we were helped right away and seated. The interior gave away that family Italian restaurant vibes. For those that enjoy wine, they have an extensive menu of options. We were starving and went straight to try the calamari as appetizers and shrimp fettuccine as my entree. Everything came out within good time and piping hot and fresh. Calamari was delicious! Shrimp fettuccine didn't disappoint as well. Fettuccine was cooked to all dented, perfectly and with ample amounts of shrimp. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
This place continues to be great! We have had dinner here countless times but today just stopped in for dessert and coffee. As always, this place does not disappoint. Excellent cappuccinos and tiramisu cake. I couldn't help myself, and I also ordered a small cheese pizza with the intention of taking some home as a late night snack! This is a classic San Antonio staple for Italian food. Is it the most authentic? Probably not. Is it delicious and friendly with a family atmosphere? Absolutely! A must try!

Yelp
This restaurant has been in business for a while, established in 1983, the restaurant was founded by the Visocaro family from Palermo, Sicily, who previously ran a pizzeria in New York before moving to San Antonio, now you know this place has authentic Italian food! The staff is attentive and friendly and they make you feel right at home. They welcome you with thinly sliced pizza and fresh bread and olive oil. Everything we got was delicious, the calamari was not my favorite but my brother liked it. Our main dishes had generous portions and were very tasteful. And their service is very good. There were large groups of families, seems like it's a very good choice for a family dinner. They have a wide variety of homemade desserts and ice cream, my favorite...Tiramisu! And I normally don't like it, but wow! Theirs is excellent!

Yelp
Let me start by saying, I love this place so if you're looking for an unbiased review I may not be the source. I will however, give an honest review from the perspective of a local who visits here a lot, and has tried a lot of different items. Little Italy feels like walking into one of the Italian kitchens in upstate New York. It's quaint, softly lit and well decorated. The first thing you will see is all the antipasto and desserts in cases. I have sworn for years that I will get a dessert before I leave, but I've always been too full to do it. We've never had a reservation for little Italy, we have always been seated promptly and there is always several other tables full of families and friends enjoying dinner - so I do think the size of the restaurant is appropriate. I will get right into our entrees for this review, but first I do want to give props to Little Italy for one thing they do that I love. Every time we go they bring out a slice of pizza for the table, cut into smaller pieces. This tickles me to no end and I really look forward to this small taste of pizza before every dinner. For our last visit, I got the chicken cacciatore along with mixed vegetables instead of pasta (I've been traveling and eating a lot of heavy food lately so I'm trying to watch it), and my girlfriend got the chicken Neapolitana dinner (with spaghetti because she's a real one). Both dishes were done incredibly well, her fried chicken was crispy and the sauce on my cacciatore was a huge stand out with a lot of flavor from the garlic. Every item I have had at this restaurant has been varying degrees of great to amazing, and I would rate the cacciatore as amazing. As stated I love this place, but that love was earned over time. I find that this is an Italian place that is taking their time with their sauces, and making sure they are right before they're served. If you are in town and can stop by, this is a can't miss.

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 40 years. The food is impeccable!! The Eggplant Rollitini, the brick oven pizzas, mussels, Parmigiana's of all kinds. A food treasure of San Antonio in my neighborhood.
google avatar

Yelp
The manicotti there is phenomenal! The way they balance the flavors of cheese and pasta should be studied. And the complementary pizza tastes great as well.

Yelp
I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. To begin, I had a very complicated order for a VVIP client. The details and presentation were crucial and the folks at Little Italy, simply did not miss a beat. Compliments to Dennis for his superb customer service. He ensured my order was down to the finest detail. He reiterated it several times to ensure all was perfect. Additionally, a big thank you to Dominic for his excellent consistent communication and timeliness of it all. Besides, their perfect execution and outstanding customer service, the food hit a home run with my guests. Needless to say we will continue to use them in the future.

Yelp
Amazing food! Always consistently good. The wait staff are dry and helpful when ordering. It is definitely our "go to"restaurant !

Yelp
I went for the food but would stay for the ambience, food and the service. If you Need a spot to relax, eat and romance then check it out. This place offers a beautiful atmosphere, with food to match. Italian everything!

Yelp
Pizza, lasagna and don't forget the Spumonte ice cream! Very nice place for dinner date.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute, authentic feeling restaurant!! Started off with a cheese pizza appetizer and fresh bread!! Nice unexpected touch! We ordered the large pepperoni and it was amazing!! Let's not forget the homemade ranch! That's was soooo tasty! I had a bite of the "Italian Stallion" and it wasn't my favorite. Sauce was a little too thick and meat balls lacked flavor...Italian sausage was also a little bland! Service was great though, very friendly!

Jamie M.

Yelp
Good Italian food .. service is good also ... wish they would bring back their fantastic desserts from years ago

Yelp
Do not eat anything here with mushrooms. We had to send our appetizer back and I would have sent my dinner back if I hadn't already sent the appetizer back. Everything was hot and fresh but the seasoning was off on just about everything. Stuffed mushrooms 1/5. I could tell they were fresh and homemade, but they were just weird. There were capers and a bunch of stuff, but just not edible for me. Fettuccine mushrooms & garlic 2/5. This was barely edible. Way too much garlic and way too much citrus. The mushrooms tasted like they were marinated in lemon juice. I like good sautéed mushrooms and this was not it. I love garlic but this was too strong. Gnocchi a la romana 3/5 the gnocchi was a 5/5 but the meat was not seasoned so the sauce was bland. Bread 5/5 freshly baked and great flavor Strawberry cake 4/5 very moist and not too sweet.

Mike B.

Yelp
The food is good I liked that they give you a couple of pieces of cheese pizza to try. Don't pay cash unless you don't want all your change back. The waiter took it upon himself to keep my ones and coins as a tip but didn't bother to tell me. Not very cool. So he got nothing else from me as a tip

Courtenay H.

Yelp
Came by for a quick, early dinner. Was seated right away and food came quickly and hot. Everything tasted amazing and our waitress, Kelly, was super friendly and attentive! Will be coming back next time the pasta cravings hit!

Robert B.

Yelp
My go to place for great food! Family owned, delicious, authentic, amazing service, a San Antonio treasure!

Yelp
Food was delicious and portions Huge!! Our server Jarrod was great!!! He was on top of everything. Drinks were refilled without asking, plates were picked promptly after we were done with our Food. The ambiance was very cozy and it was not loud in the restaurant which made conversation across the table very easy! Food , wine , dessert and Coffee options are great!
google avatar

Roxy M.

Yelp
The food was amazing and our server Claudio was great! We had a big graduation party and Claudio was on point with everything!

Yelp
It's my 1st time here, after reading in the NEXTDOOR APP from the neighbors about this establishment. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint! The service was fantastic!! The food was delicious! The cold seafood salad was very fresh and light! Highly recommended! It's a sharable dish, but I ended up eating the whole dish by myself! The ambiance was casual and enjoyable. Most definitely I'll be coming back again. Come check them out for yourself!!
google avatar

Ruby G.

Yelp
I decided to try their meat lasagna today. I was disappointed. It didn't have very much flavor at all and it seemed to be left over from the day before. The cheese on top wasn't melty and gooey, nor did it seem freshly baked. I usually order their spaghetti and meatballs, which are okay, nothing specia. I doubt that I will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Classic American Italian. Good Rat Pack music good vibes sweet staff giving great service.

Yelp
Little Italy does not disappoint! If you're looking for authentic old-world Italian cuisine, THIS is it! Tucked away off of Blanco/West Rd's, Little Italy serves up delicious, mouth-watering food that you won't find at other "so-called" Italian restaurants. We stopped in for lunch on December 27th and collectively ordered the manicotti, lasagna, spaghetti, and grilled chicken with mushrooms in white wine sauce. Wow! Every single dish was cooked to perfection! We especially loved the slices of pizza they gave us as starters! Our server, Nadia, was a tiny bit slow, but nothing to complain about. When she was around she did great. Super sweet gal. We ordered chocolate cake to go and left full and happy! I wish I had remembered to take pics of our food for this review.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best Italian spots in all of Texas and the best pizza in Texas hands down! Service is great and the atmosphere is authentic and unique!
google avatar

Ruthie W.

Yelp
I heard that @littleitalysatx had a patio and we checked it out for dinner tonight. It's been a long time since we've visited and it's a first time for Dad. The fans kept us comfortable. My husband tried and liked the Peroni and I had the Pinot Noir. Dad had the Baked Lasagna, I had the Shrimp Scampi and my husband had the Fruta de Mare. All the food had generous servings that we ended up taking food home. It was all very good. We were too full to get dessert though. Maybe next time. Stacy took good care of us and her nephew, Cameron, did great clearing the table throughout the evening. If you're looking for Italian, consider stopping by!
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my moms birthday recently. Always enjoy the complimentary pizza slice. I went with the gnocchi and a salad with Italian dressing. The gnocchi were plentiful and I like the marinara sauce. The salad was okay but nothing special. Next time I think I am going to order a pizza as that seemed to be the best part of the meal.
google avatar

Barry R.

Yelp
Little Italy is definitely the best Italian restaurant in San Antonio. The ministroni soup is the best I have ever had. The red gravy is very good as is everything I have ever eaten there.
google avatar

Astelia B.

Yelp
Little Italy is this little gem a bit hidden from the view of the street. It's a cute cozy place. The wait staff very friendly. They start you with a slice of pizza as appetizer and the pizza is good. I ordered the octopus (tastes almost pickled) very tasty. We also had a medium pizza and I've always been a fan of it. I also had the clams linguine this was light and very delicious. The chicken parmigiana was a little too sweet for our taste, something tasted like cinnamon so that threw us off. The chicken was cooked good but again the sauce was sweet. I will tell you they make their noodles in house and you can taste the difference. Overall this place is great.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
We came for the first time last weekend for dinner & this place is so good! The restaurant is cute and all the decor and pictures are sweet. We started with the sausage parm as an app, tasted really good. I got the eggplant parmesan & my boyfriend got the baked ziti; all of it was AMAZING Our waiters were very nice and attentive, we will be back again to eat and drink more!
google avatar

Vanessa V.

Yelp
Came to little Italy for my brother's bday. My bf had gave me a small serving of his pasta. His pasta aglioeollio was 10/10 very delicious, my pepperoni pizza was ok. Towards the end of my pasta, I chewed on something crunchy had the consistency of egg shells, I took a piece out of my mouth and I believe there were tiny shards of glass either from my plate or the pasta. I showed the waitress the glass and she took care of me right away and took off the pasta from the bill. However, I personally feel like for the extent of the matter, maybe the manager could have spoke to me or someone could have took ownership. Overall, I felt dismissed by the restaurant and that management could have done more.

Petrena B.

Yelp
Love the food. Favorite pizza place!!!! I drive across the city to get the pizza. I love that it's family owned and authentic
google avatar

Yelp
We've been hearing people recommend and rave of this place for so long we finally had a chance to try it! We went on a Monday night around 7PM and we're seated right away. There was only 2 of us. I'm so mad I forgot our servers name but she was AMAZING. So sweet, patient and informative. She gave us a free little slice of their pizza that they make since it was our first time. For an appetizer we ordered the Greek Salad, so crispy and fresh. For our entree we ordered and split the garlic cheese bread & spaghetti and meatball plate. It was the perfect portion size for us. And of course we couldn't not get a cannoli for dessert, I have to say it was very underwhelming, little disappointed in that... The ambiance was nice, very open seating and lots of stuff to look around at decor wise. All in all, not a bad place for some Italian food! I loved how the everything didn't feel like it was being drenched in oils or sauces
google avatar

Iris S.

Yelp
Pizza and salad is good. They are a bit reserved when it comes to the salad. They are charging for the meat and cheese and hardly put any in. Also if using debit card, they charge a fee to use it. But over all good place and good environment. Three 3 is for the customer paying their fees to use debit card.
google avatar

Joel G.

Yelp
Our go to date night venue. Went with a group of 6. Bread sticks were fantastic! Great deals of bottles of wine!

Ana R.

Yelp
I would not even come here if I was dying of hunger, the pasta dishes were not edible and the pasta was so bland. There was no flavor of what sort and it is extremely expensive for what you are paying!!! IT IS GARBAGE!!! Tried the spaghetti and meatballs, but the meatballs were dry the pasta was hard and the sauce was not even hot, it was just a bit warm. Ridiculous how they also charge you for a fee when you pay with a card. Do not recommend spending your money here, much better to go to a jack in the Box instead.
google avatar

Kayla M.

Yelp
Second time here and I can say this restaurant is delicious. Cozy and not too noisy--I love this! Service was exceptional. Our server was so sweet and attentive. Came with my toddler and I recommend. I had pizza the first time. Get the calamari. You will love the spicy marinara sauce it's severed with it. I ordered the time the chicken fontina. I was so full half of the plate came home with me.
google avatar

LaRonda G.

Yelp
Looks very small from the street but it is very large on the inside. The checkered tablecloths give it a cozy feel. Our waiter, Romy, was great all around. Funny, informative, and prompt. The food had plentiful portions and very reasonable prices. We had the stuffed mushrooms, meatballs, chicken rollatini, and chicken sorrentino. All of the sauces were very flavorful. Butter and garlic heavenly, to say the least. I can see why they have been in business for 40 years. The menu has a lot of options, and they allow you to customize your dishes as you see fit, which is a bonus.
google avatar

Evelyn D.

Yelp
Please do not go by the negative reviews. This is a great family owned restaurant that serves great "home cooked Italian" food. We've visited Italy and their food is comparable. As a New Yorker where we enjoyed true Italian food, this place fills the bill. Thank you!

Evelyn C.

Yelp
I enjoyed the family owned, oriented business the food authentic flavors are wonderful. Live to go for dinner or just pizza pick up. great place for a very nice italy dinner
google avatar

Bob M.

Yelp
I hate giving a meh review about at LI. It was so great in the 90's before ownership changed. Overpriced for quality of food served. Food not seasoned well; calamari overcooked rubber; vegetarian dishes w/ dry chicken filet added; meat has to be part of dish to get flavor & moistness. Ambience 4.5 Service 5.0; disappointed credit card surcharge & not asked if would like to pay by cash or debit (btw, folks it's illegal to surcharge debit cards). We go back once a year, hoping for improvement based on expectations, because we loved this family owned business, but continuing disappointments. See you in a year. ... now, just maybe.
google avatar

Bob A.

Yelp
i havent been here for a while and I met my wife for lunch. We had a sliver of the complimentary pizza and it was really good. Our server was friendly and attentive. I had the veal parmesan and a caesar side salad. The caesar was ok but it lacked the anchovy taste. The veal parmesan was good although some of the edges were overdone. My wife had the shrimp scampi and it was very good. I think we would definitely try the pizza the next time we visit.

Yelp
Little Italy is the kind of place you go to when you are looking for a no-frills, classic Italian, feels like you're part of the family vibe. Boasting a large menu of typical Italian fare, there isn't a chance you are walking out of this place hungry! From complimentary bread and pizza when you arrive, to large main courses served with soup or salad- Little Italy takes me back to the days of my grandmother shouting "Mangia!!" at everyone until she was satisfied that they were full. While there won't be any aggressive Italian grandmothers shouting at you here, you will find a super attentive and friendly staff which adds to the overall great experience. My only reason for four stars is a little odd, but an important detail for me: the amount of plates on the table at any given time was a bit overwhelming. Being that you arrive to bread and pizza, those items in addition to plates for everyone at the table already make your space cluttered. Add in how quickly they crank out your drinks, appetizers, and soups/salads and we were scrambling to scarf things down just so we could make some room. Main dishes that come with pasta on the side do so on an entirely separate plate rather than putting them all together which also adds to the mayhem. Growing up in an Italian household, this is on par with the chaos of a Sunday dinner, but dining out I would prefer to feel a bit more relaxed!
google avatar

Dana S.

Yelp
We had not eaten here in at least 20 years. To be honest 20 years ago it had gone from a good restaurant to not so good. We took a chance and went back because of fond memories of family dinners here. So happy to say that it was tasty and a place we will return to! Good service, decent proportion of food, and reasonable in price.

Victoria P.

Yelp
The absolute best, most authentic Italian food in San Antonio. The next best thing is in Italy itself. I've have multiple dishes throughout the years and have never been disappointed. Great wine and friendly staff!
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
out of their way amazing service! the food was everything we hoped for, but their service was over the top! my dad, who is 84, has memory issues, was taking way too long to figure out what he wanted to eat! our server was the epitome of patience! not only did they meet his needs, but made sure we were all taken care of too! did i mention the food was amazing? and the restaurant was as clean as a whistle. we'll be back (again with the arnold impression)
google avatar

Yelp
Always a solid choice. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was delicious. Our server, Miss Eryn was very attentive without being obtrusive!

Yelp
We've been wanting to try this place for years and glad we did. It's a great neighborhood restaurant and the area by far. The reason it's only 3 stars are for relatively minor nuisances. The parking lot is small, but there is street parking in the neighborhood, the menus are old and faded so it's hard to see what appetizers they have, and my eggplant was slightly overcooked. However, the portions are large, delicious and the service is friendly. There is a large range to choose from but not overwhelmingly large We'll certainly be going back.
