"At the south end of the University Bridge, the neighborhoody Little Market posted a sign on its door last week, saying its final day would be May 26." - Meg van Huygen
"There's a stupendous sesame bagel located inside this Portage Bay market that exclusively sells fancy picnic items. Sure, the bagels are on the smaller side, but where they lack in size, they make up for in soft, stretchy texture, great bready flavor, and seeds that stick to the crunchy shell like the last party guest who can't take a hint. The salt and pepper bagel is also a standout. Just make sure to grab their garlic and herb cream cheese, which is one of our favorite schmears in Seattle, and potent enough to ward off a vampire. "Tucked away in an unassuming corner of Portage Bay you’ll find Little Market (formerly Little Lago), a neighborhood market and deli best-known for their wood-fired pizzas. However, they’ve also quietly developed a reputation for having arguably the crispiest bagels in Seattle. Golden brown and brimming with blisters, these bagels also offer an enjoyable chewy interior. The sesame is a standout but consider the salt and pepper bagel for a unique spin on a classic. Get there around 9:30 a.m. for their fresh-out-the-oven best." - Eater Staff, Alana Al-Hatlani, Sean Keeley

"This little market in Portage Bay has a bunch of specialty products as well as a deli case where you can get some serious cured meats and fancy cheeses. They also serve cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches, and tasty wood-fired pizza. Grab a couple of pies (like the homemade meatball) or just load up your basket with a DIY charcuterie situation alongside some housemade lemonade. CLOSEST PARK: Roanoke Park" - Aimee Rizzo
