Little Miss BBQ Review - University - Phoenix - The Infatuation

"Head to the original University location of this Texas-style barbecue spot for some of the best pork ribs, sausage links, and brisket in Phoenix. Sure, you’ll likely have to stand in line before calling dibs on one of the outdoor picnic tables, but that’ll give you some time to sort out your game plan: sandwich or a plate? Pulled pork or ribs? When they’re on the menu, get the oversized beef ribs and try the pastrami brisket. And whatever you do, don’t skip the sides—we love the jalapeño cheddar grits, red potato salad, and ranch-style beans. " - Lauren Topor

Phoenix’s 18 Most Iconic Dishes

"Valley barbecue buffs flock to Little Miss BBQ an hour before it opens to get in line for Scott Holmes’s Central Texas-style smoked meats pulled from thousand-gallon offset smokers. In truth, every meaty option — whether pulled pork, pork ribs, turkey, sausage, or even specialty pastrami — is exemplary, but the biggest draw is the fatty brisket, an ivory-webbed thing of beauty that jiggles on the plate and dissolves on the tongue in a burst of salty, rich, robustly beefy flavor. Eaten with ranch-style beans and cheddar-jalapeño grits, it’s barbecue bliss." - Nikki Buchanan, Chris Malloy

4/5/25: Short version - definitely prefer this one over the Phoenix location. The food tasted just as awesome, it's not that, but Sunnyslope's place is so much larger & newer -- with a great parking spot. Longer version - we ate at the Phoenix location a month or so ago, and although the food was delicious, with very friendly staff, the seating inside is limited to maybe half a dozen people (no joke). On top of that, their parking lot is crap, and trying to exit onto University was downright frightening. Sunnyslope? Oh my goodness, night & day. They are part of a retail area which meant plenty of parking spaces, plus we didn't feel like we would get T-boned trying to exit the parking lot. Sunnyslope's staff was just as friendly, too. This particular Saturday we arrived around 3 pm, there was already a long line of people waiting to order. From what little we overheard, there was an older Karen a few people ahead of us, complaining. Let me tell you, the two young gentlemen who dealt with her handled her exceptionally well. They were very skilled in de-escalating her temper. Well done! Despite the interior being large & very clean, we opted to sit out on their patio. It was covered, very well shaded, ceiling fans, & I spy w/ my little eye what appear to be mister heads for summer. When next we have a craving for Little Miss BBQ, even though Phoenix is closer, we will most definitely drive farther to enjoy Sunnyslope's location (sorry, Phoenix). :-)

Google
Wow, the bathroom is impeccable. Very clean with modern wall tiling. The sink was cool and there was a changing station with extra toilet paper included. Otherwise, quite minimalistic and industrial. Very in-sync with the rest of the interior. Ok with that out of the way I'm going to include a very rare food review as well. I ordered the red chili burrito and honestly guys? Not impressed. I had to eat it with a fork and spoon. HUMILIATING! I'm sick and tired of this pattern where trendy restaurants have amazing specialties but manage to screw up the simplest dishes. A burrito should not be 55% sauce spilling out of every orifice. I should be able to hold the burrito & eat it similarly to a sandwich - that is to say I don't want to look like a toddler covered in lasagna and slop by the end of it. Any time you need a fork to eat a burrito, you have failed at burritos. Either fill it with rice, less sauce, or more meat even if that means raising the price, otherwise just take it off the menu. The 5 stars are for the bathroom. Not the burrito.

Excellent food throughout. The beans were the best of the 3 sides, the Mac n cheese was creamy but the flavor a little off, and the grits congealed too quickly. The pastrami was fatty but the brisket was the star of the show. Shoutout to the pecan pie - the smoky flavor is incredible.

The BBQ here is absolutely worth it! We had a great time, and we really enjoyed the food. The sliced brisket was just right, not too lean and not too fatty. They even asked how fatty we liked our brisket, which was nice. I got the cheddar grits, which were good while hot, but became more gelatinous when cool. The coleslaw was nice and creamy, and we really enjoyed it.

Your mouth will water just standing in line! I was in the Valley and decided to stop by for lunch on a Sunday. The line was long, but the service was incredibly efficient. The staff were friendly and offered great recommendations. The brisket is probably some of the best I’ve ever had! It was juicy, rich, and smoked to absolute perfection. The pork belly (Sunday special) was a high-quality slab of pork with a perfect balance of smoked fat and tender, sweet, savory meat. The pork ribs tasted good but didn’t quite measure up to the brisket and pork belly. The sausage and mac & cheese definitely closed out the meal on a high note. The sausage had a rich, deep flavor, and the mac & cheese was perfectly seasoned to complement the rich BBQ. They also have great local craft beers to pair with their amazing BBQ. Little Miss BBQ is definitely a must-stop whenever I’m in the Valley, as they do Texas-style BBQ at the highest level.

Constantly driving by this place and finally gave it a try. I always see it packed but I was lucky that wasn’t the case this evening. As I approached to order, the person cutting the meat helped with a little guidance regarding info on items. The menu is simple, which is a plus. I opted for the pork ribs, beans and coleslaw. I hadn’t realized they had a fountain drink station until after I ordered, so I just got water (which maybe was the best). There is beer available, as well as other bottled drink options. The spare ribs may have been just a tad bit salty for me—however, beside that, all other flavors were on point. The texture was so tender, the meat just fell right off. Beans were ok and the coleslaw was perfect. At the tables, they have 3 kinda of BBQ sauce, along with utensils and napkins. The outside eating area seems like the perfect spot when it’s not summer. Very fitting environment. Staff was attentive and friendly. I feel I missed out on a bum, which I want to try, as well as the pecan pie. Being that I was able to taste the brisket at time I was ordering, I do plan to come back and have other dishes. I hear the Mac and cheese is tasty, too. I enjoyed this place. And another big plus, is that they have plenty of parking.

Google
Just wow! Got the brisket & a 707 sausage with cheddar jalapeño grits and ranch beans. The brisket was as advertised (amazing) the 707 was pepperific. Love it. The beans were very good too. But the surprise was the grits. Great flavor, creamy. Perfect.

Google
Sunnyslope was a totally different vibe in a good way! Tons of parking and no stress trying to leave the lot. The staff was super friendly, and even though it was packed when we showed up around 3 on a Saturday, they stayed cool, especially with one cranky customer props to the two guys who handled her like pros. The inside was nice and clean, but we grabbed a spot on the patio, which was shaded, had ceiling fans, and even some misters perfect for a warm day.

Yelp
How funny that a person who is not the best lover of BBQ loves this place and is giving them 5 stars. They made a believer out of me since like 20 years ago when I first tried them when they had a backyard type of place near the airport and were only doing food festivals. These days and today, we get a lovely Brick and Mortar right in my hood. They have won awards world wide and are ranked one of the best places to get BBQ in the USA. Yes, Country, not just state. I love their Jalapeno grits. Who knew? Hahahah! The staff members working here are amazing and so is the owner and family.

Yelp
Our first time in AZ and alllll our friends recommended we try Little Miss BBQ and now we see why! So tender, juicy, and flavorful! Service was friendly and prompt. Food is served on a tray, ambiance is cafeteria style. Tables have your utensils and 3 different sauces - house (tangy & tasty), mustard (sweet & tangy) and spicy (fresh & fiery). My bf and my favorite sauce was the house! We got the two meat plate with sliced brisket and pork spare rib. We added the beef short rib as it's not part of the two meat plate choices, but this was definitely the star of the show! We'd fly back here just for that lol. As for sides, we got the mac n cheese and jalapeño cheddar grits, both great options! Macaroni was al dente and very flavorful and I'm not usually huge on grits, but this was actually pretty good!! If you're ever in the area, highly recommend!

Yelp
First the overall - top notch service, fine ambiance, best BBQ I've ever had, anywhere. The folks who run this place would give their soul for barbecue and it shows everywhere. They're super friendly, constantly hand out free samples to the line and just generally treat you well. The ambiance is fine, I hardly notice it between bites of my brisket. It's pretty much an old style house with a big front lot. You're not going to be dazzled. The food, like I said I'll get into more detail but that's the entire reason you should come here. Even on their worst day, it's torched everything else I've ever had. Onto the full review. Like I said, service rocks here. They're just flat out friendly and having a good time. Typically you'll have to wait in line for at least an hour here (trust me, it's worth it) and it's always fun to shoot the breeze with the gent working the pit. They are always walking around handing out free samples and treat you like you're at a backyard barbecue. Things are very slow but again, this is deliberate because they want to nail everything about your food. Ambiance is meh - look I honestly don't care on this one. It's basically just an old brick house like you'd see anywhere in phoenix with a large front lot. You'd miss it if you didn't know what you were looking for. You'll be lucky to sit inside, if at all. They may have added more since I was last here but it is what it is. Again, the food here is so good, I'd eat it behind a dumpster if that's all they had. And now, for the entire reason you've even shown up, the food... Oh my god, the food. I've been to more than half the US, several countries, tried everything ever put in front of me at least once... There is nothing in this world I've had that was tastier than Little Miss's brisket. My wife is quite the home cook and even she would agree. You select your plate size and it has an applicable number of sides with it. Expect to pay about 40-50$ but don't worry, you won't even be able to finish it. Your plate is gonna be absolutely loaded up with the most decadent barbecue you've ever seen. Brisket so juicy it's practically melting on your plate. I didn't even like coleslaw until I came here. Their toast is also top notch, it reminds me of Canes but with actual flavor. I've tried everything under the sun here, many times and not a single thing has disappointed. Each bite is a love letter to your taste buds - you think "oh this bite couldn't possibly be as good as the last one" and next thing you know you need to be carried out to your car. You can also take things home if you are early enough. I've had friends bring home brisket for dinner parties and it is also wonderful. They package it all up nicely and hot for you. Try as many sides and you can stomach, they're all unbelievable. It's hard to really give you a good full picture because this is like barbecue Mecca, prepare for an out of body experience. Show up early, I'm not sure how bad the line is these days but I've waited 45 mins and I've also waited 1.5 hours. It's always worth it. Boy I should go back. I love this place. A true five star gem.

Yelp
Came here through a recommendation from a friend and we really enjoyed our meal. Little Miss BBQ certainly knows how to smoke meats. We got the 2 meat plate with fatty brisket and the Sunday special pork belly. We also got to try the pork rib and added on a sausage. Everything was so tender and flavorful. I loved the brisket and sausage the most. Mac & cheese - was nice and saucey, I liked the smaller macaronis too. Potato salad - perfectly dresses and the potatoes had a nice bite to them. Meat is served with bread and raw white onions, jalapenos, and pickles that you can self-serve. We also tried 3 types of sauces - mustard, regular bbq, spicy bbq (less thick) and I enjoyed all three!

Yelp
Another amazing visit. Pulled pork sandwich, memphis style, was delicious. Everyone loved their food. Ribs were great. Beans and Mac 'n Cheese were also good. Service is outstanding. Interior is spacious with plenty of seats. Nice patio depending on the weather. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
Little Miss BBQ is famous for their food and for good reason--their beef rib is amazing and falls right off the bone, the sausages are flavorful, and the pulled pork sandwich is juicy. I would say their beef brisket was a little on the dry side but they do give house bbq sauce to help with that. The house bbq sauce was okay. I would always come back here for the beef rib, it's filling and can be shared. Service is great at the counter, and this location is really clean and a great family spot. Overall, a little pricey but the taste is worth it and a great place to treat yourself every once in awhile!

Yelp
I am obsessed with Little Miss BBQ. From the food to the service, everything was top notch. Our first visit was on a Sunday and I was seriously considering driving 45 minutes the following day to have another taste of their exceptional barbecue. We had to wait in a bit of a line, but that was expected as our visit was in the middle of the day--peak lunchtime. It was well worth the wait. I ordered the two meat plate. I was planning on ordering pulled pork and turkey, but when we got up to place our order, the designated meat cutter gave us each a bite-sized piece of brisket and my mind was changed, so I ended up going with brisket and turkey, plus a side of mac and cheese. I've sampled a lot of barbecue in town, but this was by far the best. We liked how the restaurant had ample seating and a friendly employee roaming to collect trays and plates once done. Truly the best! Accept no substitutes!

Yelp
Was on the way out of town and stopped by for a late breakfast. This place did not disappoint , we ordered the family platter of sausage, brisket, pulled pork smoked turkey and the Sunday special pork belly burnt ends. Plus 3 sides of potato salad, coleslaw, and the jalapeño grits. Everything was was cooked to perfection, based on my own opinion this is how I ranked the meats... Pork belly burnt ends Brisket, loved the fattier point Smoked turkey Jalapeño sausage And finally pulled pork. Again this is my personal Preference and to each their own. I also prefer the mustard based BBQ that I used sparingly. The sides were great with the Jalapeño grist being the best. Do not forget to ask for bread, pickles and onions on the side. Not only was this great BBQ but the service was great, they came by a few times to ask how everything was and if we needed anything plus cleared the table and brought to go container's. While BBQ is always pricey as it's a long process this definitely worth the price. Will def add this as a future stop when in the PHX area.

Yelp
The best brisket in town. Food servers are the nicest. Very spacious inside. Beef ribs are bomb. I am missing some sides, they are not available.

Yelp
Was in the mood for BBQ and knew where to head to. This place does not disappoints. The staff is engaging which is always nice. The food is always amazing the pork ribs were nice size and tender. Chopped brisket was outstanding lots of flavor The cheddar jalapeño hot link was outstanding huge in flavor and spice. Sides mac and cheese and grits. Hubby got the turkey plate with beans and coleslaw and was very happy with it. I travel for work and eat BBQ on my trips having been to Austin and eating at Franklins as well as other top places in the US, LMB is just as good or even better.

Yelp
If you're in Phoenix and love BBQ, Little Miss BBQ is an absolute must-visit! We had the best BBQ we've ever tasted here, and every bite was phenomenal. The short ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with the perfect smoky flavor, and the brisket was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The sausages were packed with bold, savory spices and cooked to perfection. Even the sides--often overlooked at BBQ joints--were standouts. Everything we tried was clearly made with love and expertise. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was worth every penny. You can tell this place is passionate about barbecue, from the perfectly balanced seasoning to the rich, smoky flavors in every bite. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the experience. This is hands-down the best BBQ we've had, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Phoenix. If you're a BBQ lover, don't miss out on this gem!

Yelp
Loved the jalapeno cheddar grits (!), mac n cheese, smoked turkey, and their in house iced tea! Oh man oh man. These stood out. The beans, coleslaw, and brisket were pretty standard. Their brisket was smokey and more flavorful than most but was not melt in your mouth pull a part goodness. Very nice staff, lots of parking, good pricing.

Yelp
I went here for a celebration in June and it ended up being a great idea. Since the place is quite famous already, I expected a long wait. However, maybe because the way the restaurant is designed, it didn't feel like a long wait. We got in line and while in line, we discussed our food options and then picked our food when it was our turn at the counter, paid for the food, then was seated. We easily found a table for our party of five. During the line, we were able to see them cut out meat and even try some pieces. Food: We ordered quite a lot for six people because we really wanted to try as much as we could and to celebrate! We ordered the "Yager Dager," which had a good selection of meat to try from. I personally liked the pulled pork the most, but everyone at my table had a different favorite so everything was good. I also really liked the range of sauces they had as well and the amount of selections. That being said, my favorite things were actually the sides. It's really vital to balance out all the heavy meat with something else. I love the coleslaw and the beans! We also ordered the beef short rib (the most right in the picture), which was delcious and very soft. We definitely had leftover after that. In terms of pricing, I think the Yager Dager was great for its price because you get so much meat selection, but the beef short rib was a bit expensive for me. I am still glad I got it for a special occasion but not something I'd order on a normal occasion. I had no problem with service at all.

Yelp
First things first, the costumer service was amazing, we got samples of the sausage in line. They have mister to keep us cool in line, gave us honest opinions of what we should get. Super friendly and the owner talked to us for awhile about bbq. The place is small and cozy. There is 4 tables on the inside and a picnic area outside with I think 6 tables. Now to the food! I suggest getting there early to get the full menu cause we got there 90 minutes after they opened and working 30 minutes the turkey was all gone! (Guy who ordered for 10 people, you're my mortal enemy for life) I ordered the sliced brisket which was delicious. You can get lean, fatty or a mix. I got the mix and each kind was yummy with a great bark. The jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage was juicy and had a great snap. The beef was enormous and beefy goodness. They give you a side of pickles, onions and sliced white bread. The jalapeno cheddar grits was creamy, cheesy and spicy! I'll def be coming back again. Great job Little Miss BBQ keep up the great work!

Yelp
Aloha Hawaiians, Have you ever heard of the phrase Kill a cow, light a fire and let the magic begin? A fellow yelped and said, the grits are excellent. I ended up with the one choice plate, and ranch beans, potato salad, sliced brisket. And 6 servings of grits. After I ate the meal..... I was stunned to silence, but I felt at peace. It took me a few days to reflect on such bbq greatness, to reflect on the artistry of the meal. "Barbecue is a dance of flavors, a symphony of smoke and spice." - Johnny Trigg Thank you for putting out this level of art, bravo. As always I love lumberjack sized portions and the food hit the table and went straight to my tummy. (Quick note if they run out of an item that day, they cross it off, that's the orange tape. Get there early. Yum)

Yelp
Everyone has been raving about this place, and it was also listed as one of the top 100 BBQ places in the US, so we decided to try it! It's most definitely a delicious BBQ! The sides were okay, but the meats were very juicy. The burrito flavor was great but was too runny and harder to eat. The banana pudding was very, very good as well. The service was very prompt and friendly. The space was comfortable, with plenty of inside and outside seating. A place where we will bring out-of-town visitors :)

Yelp
Been searching for a great BBQ joint and found Little Miss. Asked for the juicy cut and they gave me only 2 slices since it weighs 1/2 lb? Everyone else's plates had lots of smaller cut pieces. They weigh each plate so I'm sure it's accurate. Anyways, the brisket was very tender and overall pretty juicy. The little part of the flat was a tad dry but still better than most places I've been. I would give it 4 stars. For the sides, I had the grits and mac & cheese. Didn't care for either of them. I would rate these a 1 star. I'm giving them 3 stars for this visit but will update when I visit them to try other stuff.

Yelp
Little Miss BBQ is one of the best BBQ experiences in the Phoenix metro. I've rated 25 different area BBQ restaurants and theirs is consistently good in dishes across the board. The most important thing for any BBQ joint is to have a strong smoker game, which they do in spades. Their pulled pork and brisket were both fantastic. And they offer both moist and lean brisket options. The turkey and ribs were quite good although not on the same level as the pork and brisket. All were served just the way I like my wife, naked. That is, of course, the proper way to do it. Their smoked meats all had just the right amount of smoke and seasoning and all were nice and juicy. The sausage was also good, but the jalapeño sausage noticeably better and worth getting as an a la carte add on to a platter. The sides were all good to great, although uniformly a little bit salty. The beans were notable, with lots of flavor from a little chili seasoning and chunks of meat. The highlight though were the jalapeño cheddar grits. An unusual offering and particularly well done. They have three sauces, but all were a little too sweet for my tastes. Speaking of sweet, we didn't have room for dessert but the pecan pie and banana pudding looked amazing. Curiously, they didn't have chicken or corn bread on the menu, both common BBQ staples. Good service and nice vibe, with plenty of parking at the Sunnyslope neighborhood location. Highly recommended. Will go back

Yelp
This is probably one of the most popular restaurants in Arizona. My husband and his brothers love it! There barbecue is highly rated and five stars. Their service is efficient. Everyone is friendly and you can order until they run out. My three stars is my own fault. I ventured out on the menu and regretted it. I tried their burrito and got it with both red and green sauce. I was immediately regretting my decision. It wasn't bad - it's a solid three stars but it just doesn't hold a candle to the other options on their menu. The red sauce is also a bit sweet which doesn't work for me. It's very meat forward as a barbecue establishment should be. Stick with what you know they do well!

Yelp
First, let's start with how happy the employees are!! It was moderately busy and every single employee had a smile on their face and they were laughing and joking with each other and customers. It was like showing up to your friend's house for a BBQ. THE BRISKET!! It melted in my mouth!! The short ribs also great, but I will probably dream about this brisket! I love coleslaw! This coleslaw was not too wet and not too dry, exactly how I like it!! They have indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of room for large families and/or groups! Loved it!!

Yelp
Ok I have to start my review with the statement that good BBQ is my favorite food. My only knock on this place is who I presumed was the manager. There were people lined up out the door when we arrived. The manager or whoever she was came over and very aggressively told people to either get in or get out and not leave the door open. I understand wanting the door closed for flies but there is a correct way to address your paying customers. The body language, the tone of her voice and her attitude were way off course I ordered the 2 meat platter, sliced brisket, pork ribs and a side of Cole slaw and Mac n cheese. The other people in our group had a brisket sandwich, pork belly sandwich and a brisket sandwich. The sliced brisket was on point with a really nice smoke ring, tender and just the right amount of smoke flavor. This was my first time to Little Miss BBQ but the people with me are regulars. Everyone enjoyed everything about their food and serving size was reasonable. Except for the very rude greeting by the manager not just to us but several people all who commented how aggressive she was being. This place deserves 5 stars for the food but I have to subtract one star for the non customer focused manager or whoever she was.

Yelp
Was in town and wanted to give a try. Got just a little of a few items so I could try more. Had ribs, brisket, turkey, and the jalapeño sausage and the grits for a side. Tried some of the sauces which were great but not star of this show. Brisket was tender and tasty but the turkey and the ribs I really enjoyed. I had a bit of sausage left so I took back to share. Can't wait to get back next time in town.

Yelp
You know the food is good when the line is too the door! This place is very spacious, with a great outdoor patio! They always have great customer service, it's always clean and the BBQ is delicious, which is why I keep going back!

Yelp
Decided to try this place on a Saturday to get their beef ribs and ended up getting so much more. We went at 12pm and they still had beef ribs since we heard they can sometimes sell out. The line was at the door but it moved pretty fast and they have multiple people cutting. They're super helpful and will give you samples to try. They let us choose how much of everything we wanted and we got a little of everything. It looked like most people got take out but there were plenty of seats and tables. The outdoor seating is covered and clean. The beef rib itself actually wasn't the best of what we got and I prefer big Nate's beef rib, but the brisket was the best I've ever had! It was so flavorful, the right amount of salt, and we requested the extra fatty parts so it was so juicy and tender. It honestly was the best thing. The pulled pork was a close second, and as someone who doesn't like pulled pork I was so surprised. It held its texture cause I don't like the mushy way pulled pork can get, but this one was great. The pork ribs were fall off the bone. I really liked the jalapeno cheddar grits. The Mac and cheese was pretty soft on texture but good flavor. Overall I'm definitely going back.

Yelp
I've been to many BBQ places...Little Miss is the BEST OF THE BEST. The brisket is tender and mouth watering. If you like Pecan Pie...theirs is a must!

Yelp
Heard great things about this place but I wish I could say the same. I ordered the kids meal brisket, mac & cheese wasn't cheesing enough for me and the brisket was too salty. The price was right though considering I like to eat in portions. Service was wonderful, everyone was nice and worked well together that's why i'm giving 3 stars. Ambiance was clean and well put.

Yelp
Delicious food! We did have to wait a short while to order our food but nothing too outrageous. The location itself is pretty small with limited parking and seating but they somehow make it work. Staff are exceptionally kind. Overall, great place to try!

Holy Cow, brisket is excellent. Sausage is good, thick grind, nice snap, ribs were solid. Ours were a bit under but had great flavor. The burrito stole the show. That was amazing

Yelp
Oh. My. Lord! This place is worth it. Go in hungry because you need to try everything. The beef rib is so juicy and flavorful and amazing. The sausage is amazing and has a perfect snap to it. The sauce MY WORD THE SAUCE is the cherry on top. Bring the appetite and eat up!

Yelp
For a BBQ spot, I was wondering why they close so early. After going, my question as been answered: they will most likely sell out of meats if you arrive too late. I arrived on a Tuesday at 5:30PM and they were already out of pork ribs the minute after I ordered mine. I ordered pork ribs, sliced brisket and pulled pork. The housemade BBQ sauce they provide at the tables is really good, definitely a little more tangy than your store bought ones. The pork ribs were decent, but the brisket and pulled pork stole the show for me. The brisket was very tender and flavorful, yet complimented the BBQ sauce really well. The pulled pork was juicy and tender, unlike other places where it can be dry. The salad selection is also really good, and you can ask for free bread on the side. There was a small line, but I understand why this place is starting to pop up all over Phoenix. It's arguably the closest you can get to the Texas BBQ style (love it) outside of Texas. I love how you can see the marination process, how they slice your meats in front of you, and how you can order by the pound. The prices are also very fair, as you get quite a good amount of food with your order. Service was also very friendly and attentive. We were greeted with smiles and they answered all of our questions eagerly. For visitors and locals alike, this place is a must visit, though there might be one opening up near you in the future haha.

Yelp
Drove about 30mins to this location and waited in line for about 15-20mins. Honestly, there were some big parties in front of us; I don't think the staff was slow because when it was our turn we ordered fast and moved on quick. First time here so I ordered the double brisket plate with Mac&cheese and potato salad as sides and my husband ordered the turkey rib plate with beans and Mac & cheese as sides and the jalapeño cheddar sausage. Beans were great with a hint of spice to it Mac&cheese: I thought was ok my husband loved it. Potato salad: I loved it, my husband didn't like it Jalapeño cheddar sausage: was amazing. We both agreed that the cheddar didn't add anything to the sausage but we still loved it. Turkey, ribs and brisket were all amazing. They were juicy, perfect smoke to it and very tasty. My husband ordered the pecan pie which he loved. I am not a huge pie lover but it was good. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of sitting area. Music in the background but not too loud that you can't have a conversation. It was pricey but worth it. We will be back!

Yelp
I enjoyed LMbbq. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. No doubt these people know their stuff. The smokers in the back are gigantic and impressive. The smell thickens the nearby air and smells amazing. My sandwich was small. It was also greasy. I did like how they used noble bread buns. S/o noble bread. I ordered the jalapeño grits as a side. A little unimpressive. It did not match how good the meat was. LMbbq was rated #2 Top Restaurant on Yelp in 2018. It's been on my radar ever since. #2 restaurant in the country is quite the statement. One can argue that it's not Top 2 in Sunnyslope.

Yelp
I never really crave BBQ but when looking at places to try in town, Little Miss was a frequent place that popped up. Given that I knew I had to make it my mission to try it before leaving. My usual go to for BBQ will always include brisket and mac and cheese. However, I also saw the jalapeno cheddar sausage on the menu so I had to get that also. The brisket here is super tender and pairs well with the sauce (more vinegary for me which is the type I like). The sausage also had a great crunch and kick in flavor that was balanced by the creaminess of the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was you average but really complemented the fattiness of the meat. It originally didn't look super creamy but it was. It's a great side to pair and would get both meats again. As a tip order ahead for pick up to save time!

Yelp
Ambiance: Very busy and waiting about 45 minutes in line. Perfect for a casual meal if you aren't in a rush. Cleanliness: Despite being quite busy the place was spotless. Taste: It was great but was hoping for more of a smoky flavor. Overall: One of the better BBQ spots in Phoenix metro. It is good but missing the smoky flavor. Because of the long wait to order I probably won't frequent this place as much.

Yelp
I will write a review for every time I go! I seriously love this place so much! The staff are super friendly! The Mac and cheese is some of the absolutely best and I wish I had a recipe for it! The meat was great as always but this time we tried the beef short rib and it was an experience in itself. They serve it Fridays and Saturdays, you can order it ala cart, you can eat it like a cave man or have them slice it. The meat melts in your mouth and it's very luscious and luxurious and just a really great piece of meat! It was lunch time so it was busy but we had people helping clear our table when done with a plate and even the owner stopped to talk to us. Honestly, we've eaten a lot of BBQ in a lot of different states and this is probably the best that we've eaten.

Yelp
Texas bbq in Phoenix, Arizona can't beat that. Got the two meat plate turkey, sliced brisket, Mac and cheese, and ranch style beans. Brisket and turkey were moist and flavorful, great smoke ring. Sides were on point. Ate this right after a workout I was starving and of course I wanted more. Justifiable why there was a long line out the door, service was fast considering the circumstances. Outside seating area gives it a backyard bbq feel and the inside is clean with large amounts of seating. Second time coming not the last.

Yelp
I've been to Little Miss 7 times and never reviewed it I've had almost every meat they offer, their pulled pork and jalapeno and cheddar hot links are the stars of their show Today we shared the 2 meat plate with a jalapeno and cheddar link, with Mac and cheese, and jalapeno and cheese grits, and got a green chili burrito to go (always) They actually pulled out a new brisket for our plate Mom had the 2 sausage plate with the jalapeno and cheddar link, and their house 707 link, which I had not previously tried, which was tasty but not notable The Mac and cheese is VERY cheesy and very sticky, but I love it I'm not a huge fan of grits but theirs are worth getting They offer several local brews and ciders 20/10 will definitely return, have recommended many times

Yelp
It was the best brisket I've had, and this is coming from living in Texas, Memphis, and Chicago. The Mac and cheese was surprisingly delicious as well. Try them out before you try any other BBQ in Phoenix.

Yelp
Ok I can't even explain this place and the food . You know when something is so good you just close your eyes and feel it through out your body , well the brisket will bring you you to your knees and don't get me started on the Mac n cheese and omg the banana pudding it's vanilla wafers on top,see now I just got chills. My wife said the smoked turkey was amazing. The staff all looked like they where all family members with greatest attitude and the nicest staff . I'm writing this review right before bed and now I can't stop thinking of the place, guess I'll be going there for lunch 5 ***** A+ place

Yelp
Was looking for some good bbq while visiting Phoenix and my search brought me to little miss bbq. No obviously anyone looking at the best barbecue in Phoenix would probably find this joint on every top 10 list. I chose this place because it was local and people raved about the brisket Upon arrival. The place was about a quarter full and look like your typical barbecue joint, which means it was very casual and built for making a mess. There was a strong smell of smoked brisket in the air and it was heavenly when I got to the window. They provided me with a sample of brisket and it was wonderous. Yes, I, a dude, was forced to say wonderous.... Even worse than a dude saying fabulous.... Shoot.. I even said heavenly. Man card revoked. But the brisket was that GOOD. I ordered a plate and smashed it. I smashed it all. I ate so much beef barbecue. It felt like a man again. All the wait staff provided great service. They checked on me but we're not intrusive as Trump would say 10 out of 10, would eat here again!

Yelp
This was the first time at this location and LMB never disappoints. Excellent BBQ, clean, good casual ambiance and friendly staff. Will definitely be stopping by when I am in the neighborhood.

Yelp
*must eat should replace mist eat. Liked this place a great deal as I am now back in LA and still thinking of it. Reminds me of that Spin Doctors son Little Miss Can't Be Wrong.

Yelp
Why aren't more people talking about the banana pudding! Homemade vanilla pudding, wafers, and bananas all layered in a 6oz cup for $4. My only wish is that they sold pint sizes! I'll be back to try some of their real food haha ... had to make sure your banana pudding was legit before splurging on their full menu.

Yelp
After coming across a review claiming this BBQ spot was top-notch, I decided to give it a try myself. Indeed, the brisket and beef ribs exceeded my expectations with their tender and flavorful taste that simply melts in your mouth. Additionally, the sausage was delightfully seasoned, offering a perfect balance of spices. When we finally made it to the...

Yelp
It was very good but a little pricey and not sure if it is worth the lines it gets. I think for the area it's 5 stars but not on par with true Texas or even Nashville bbq. I'm glad I tried it and I would go back but I would not wait hours to eat it.

Yelp
I placed an order online for: 1) Two 2 Meat Plate with Chopped Brisket, Pork Ribs, Potato Salad, macaroni and cheese, onions, pickles, jalapeños, house bbq sauce and spicy bbq sauce. 2) Two 2 Meat Plate with Chopped Brisket, pulled pork, Potato Salad, macaroni and cheese, onions, pickles, jalapeños, house bbq sauce and spicy bbq sauce. 3) Added side sausage 4) added jalapeño Cheddar Grits Let me tell you, EVERYTHING WAS GOOD. All of the meat was tender and flavorful. The potato salad was refreshing. I have never tried grits and today was my first time. It was BOMB! I prefer the spicy bbq sauce over the house. The house is too sweet for me. A little expensive but honestly worth it!!!! I didn't get to see inside of the building but the person who gave me my order was nice. 5/5. I recommend you check it out. Best BBQ I've had in AZ so far.

Yelp
Visiting Phoenix, I had to try their brisket, it was amazing, one of the best brisket I've had, the staff were so nice and friendly, I ate double amount of meat, also the pecan pie was amazing , no doubts, I will be there every time I go to Arizona
