The 38 Best Restaurants in New Delhi, India | Eater

"Price Range: $$ Vietnamese chef Hana Ho runs the one-woman show at Little Saigon. Try her summer rolls stuffed with chicken and vegetables, or opt for Ho’s own favorite, the hand-made cao lau noodles tossed with thin, pink slices of pork and fresh herbs. It is hard to find good Southeast Asian fare in the capital, but Ho is a vigilant crusader for her country’s dishes: braised pork cooked inside a traditional clay pot, artichoke-based drinks, and one of the few great banh mis in the city. Know before you go: The chef panders to no one, changes her menu briskly with the season’s produce, and has gathered a loyal following among the city’s diners." - Sharanya Deepak

On our trip to Delhi frommGurgaon, today, we decided to drop in to Little Saigon in Hauz Khas market, cos we were craving a nice Banh Mi. If you are looking for a fancy place, this is not the one for you. But if you are looking for something homely, then definitely make a visit. There are just 3 tables and everything is made fresh. The lady, who said she is a chef from Vietnam, was helpful in explaining some of the dishes. We chose to have the Xoi Man ( sticky rice with pork floss), the Tom Xao Xa OT ( stir fried prawns in lemongrass) and a Banh Mi Saigon ( pork). The sticky rice with pork floss is a fabulous combination of rice, with pork clay pot, pork sausages, scrambled egg and topped with pork floss. The sauce is essentially the sauce from the pork clay pot. The prawns were decent but I didn't get the lemongrass flavouring. The Banh Mi was great. Lovely crusty fresh bread ( that her friend bakes for her) with a generous helping of Pate, veggies and pork. The sauce is sweet and salty and brings things together quite nicely. Next time, I will try the summer rolls...they looked good ( I snuck a peak at it when it was going to another table)!.

The ambience & the hygiene was very very very poor. The whole place was dirty. A dead cockroach fell from the bill folder. Only saving grace was that the food was tasty. But because of the really shabby place it was very difficult to eat there. & there is a high chance this meal is going to make me sick. & for this quality of a place the prices were very very high.

The ambiance is rustic, but the Vietnamese owner serves authentic cuisine that is truly a must-try.

Extremely unhygienic and poorly maintained. They charge prices on par with upscale restaurants, but the place feels more like a back-alley kitchen. A street dog walking into the kitchen while the chef pets it mid-cooking? Unacceptable. I get that it’s a small setup, but many small places manage cleanliness and aesthetics far better. The lack of basic hygiene, upkeep, and presentation was shocking. You might have culinary talent, but if hygiene and presentation are ignored, the experience falls flat. Especially with COVID cases rising again, this level of neglect is inexcusable.

The restaurant is a little hole in the wall restaurant run by a Vietnamese lady If you are searching for a sophisticated place, then don't visit. But, if you are searching for fabulous, tasty, genuine Vietnamese food, then this is the place for you. The flavour is fabulous. The plating is excellent. Marvelous place. Visit for the food. You will love it

This place was in my go to list for a very long time. It's a small restaurant which serves amazing and authentic Vietnamese food. As soon as you'll enter, you'll be greeted by the owner. She's a really sweet lady, very polite and she also recommended us some very delicious dishes. Food itself was mouthwatering and perfectly cooked. We ordered chicken and shrimp pho, fresh summer rolls with shrimp and meat, steamed rice cake stuffed with chicken, and artichoke iced tea. Pho was the star of the show. It had a beautiful flavour, and adding a little bit of chilli oil elevated it a lot. Summer rolls were delicious as well, and so were the stuffed rice cakes. Really loved the place and would love to try their other dishes. Highly recommend it. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5

I went there with my friends on a lovely rainy evening in Delhi. I’d discovered it on Zomato (4.8) and was excited to try their food. It has a nice parking in front but quite tough to spot (because of its unassuming setup). We were taken aback by the ambience, it’s not the most cleanest/hygienic place. But that’s not what they’re known for, the moment the lovely Vietnamese lady walks out of that kitchen, you know that she knows her game. We ordered Vietnamese coffee, summer roll, bun cha and vegetarian pho. The food was excellent and is full of flavour and stories. The owner is engaging - she will guide you how to eat, what to order and the stories about its origin. My final verdict would be if you’re interested in Vietnamese cuisine, this is a must try.

A bit late on the review, tried this place last year with my family in delhi! The food outlives the size of this place! Must try for authentic Vietnamese cuisine! Everything is cooked fresh in the kitchen for you! The homely place is run by a Vietnamese couple and they are very friendly! My fav were the fresh prawn summer rolls and banh mee ! At that time they were also providing delivery service!
