Mom‑and‑pop slice of Chicago in Surprise: thin, deep‑dish, and stuffed pies plus Italian beef sandwiches. BYOB and counter‑service keep it unfussy; travelers and Midwestern transplants vouch for the flavors.

Google
Nice little pizza place. I've been coming here for several years. Lots of cheese. Good and fresh toppings and great staff who are friendly and great service

Google
As someone from Chicago, I thought their food was decent. My critique on their pizza is that their sauce is way too sweet and could use some herbs and garlic included in it. I think their customer base is old though so it makes sense why it's that way. I wish they had a menu with current prices on google maps. A few google pictures had old prices. It was more expensive than I thought it would be

I live in el mirage and never heard of this place! We were in the area one day and decided to stop in. The food was delicious! Being from Chicago we look for good pizza places and this one reminded us of home. The staff was very friendly and I love that you can see them in the kitchen doing all the cooking. One of the owners I think; an older gentleman, came up to us as we were leaving and started talking to my daughter, who is 2. He gave her a ball of dough to play with and made sure we enjoyed our food. That was very kind of him to do! We will definitely be back!

I’ve both dined in and taken out here. Every time I’ve come the place smells like sewage or some kind of rotting smell. The cashiers and waiters are all very nice, friendly and polite. The food itself is honestly not worth it whatsoever. The crust is lacking in flavor and seems undercooked every time I order. Their appetizers are also unappealing and taste as if they were left out before being given to me. I highly recommend staying AWAY from the fried appetizers specifically as they lack crunch and flavor. The wings are also lacking any flavor whatsoever and taste bland, not very hot even after getting the hottest option available. I won’t be back and will recommend others who want to eat here to travel farther for something better.

I can’t say enough good things about Little Sicily in Surprise, Arizona! From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The pizza is hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly crispy thin crust, fresh toppings, and a sauce that’s bursting with flavor. I tried their Chicago-style pan pizza too, and it was a delicious nod to tradition, loaded with cheese and cooked to perfection. The Italian beef sandwich was another standout—juicy, flavorful, and served with a side of fries that were crispy and golden. Prices are reasonable, the service is top-notch, and the whole vibe of this place is just spot-on. It’s a hidden gem in Surprise that I’ll be returning to again and again. Five stars all the way!

Google
Found this gem on my spring training road trip I'm from California would highly recommend this place not to much room to sit but that's the only downside. pizza is amazing 😋 even the next day.

Yelp
Holy Cow. This is real Chicago Tavern Style Pizza. This is on par with Vito and Nicks in Chicago and better than the deep dish guys. It's got a hometown feel and is still made by the owner. Although small, the walls are adorned by police patches and sports pendants are hanging from the ceiling. This is the best pizza I've found in the Phoenix area, and although it is a ways away, it is worth the drive. This is a must try.

Yelp
You don't need my word for this place as I agree with the bulk of the reviews here. Heard about LSP from a facebook post and HAD to try. I'm a glutton for a 'Mom and Pop' place and this is soooooooooooooooooo good! Whatever your jam is regarding pizza, you've GOT to try this place. Sauce is homemade, toppings are generous and service is awesome. In addition to the pizza, I got a side of antipasti which was also delish! Will be back this week for another pizza - highly highly recommend!

Steve J.

Yelp
Really really good food Seating is very basic. Pizza crust as you like - I prefer thin. Calzone is next on my list!

Yelp
Born and raised in the Chicago area so I'm kind of a pizza snob and Little Sicily hits the mark for their tavern style thin crust. I've been a few times now and I'm always happy with my order, except for once when I tried the deep dish, which I'm still very confused about because I think I wanted the pan pizza? That was my only order I wasn't happy with. The tavern style pizza is excellent and feels very much like a neighborhood Chicago joint. It's better than Rosati's for sure. The crust has the perfect amount of crisp, toppings under the cheese, and sausage that reminds me of my favorite places back home. Plus they cut it into squares. If you're craving some Chicago style thin crust, stop by Little Sicily.

Yelp
My father has been raving about Little Sicily for a long time. We are visiting him in Surprise and went tonight. This is the best Chicago/Milwaukee tavern style pizza I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, cracker crispy crust but not too thin (still thin enough), great sauce, and perfect amount of cheese. So damn good!

Yelp
I always wanted to try their sandwiches. Today was that day. It doesn't come with fries or even a drink ?? That was a little disappointing for 13 bucks plus tax. . I had the Italian sandwich. Everything here is pretty good. Run and owned by the family and they treat you very nice. You will always get great service here.

Yelp
It's a small establishment, so doesn't take much to pack the house. I always order just cheese when trying out a new place, just to check out what the basic flavoring is and I'm a fan. IMO, their 'thin' crust is really the perfect crust. Now, 1/2 of our non-cheese pizza had mushrooms on it, which were not ordered. My husband wasn't as thrilled but I love mushrooms so it worked out to my advantage. We'll def be back to try the Chicago style and ro explore more of the menu.

Yelp
First time trying them and it was beyond good. I loved the atmosphere. The small feel of the restaurant brings comfort and family to the environment. Staff were friendly and wonderful. The wings were crispy with plenty of sauce. Pizza was thin but not like your traditional thin crust. There are other crust options by the way. We also got a house salad that comes with breadsticks. We will be back for sure!

Rob S.

Yelp
First timers. I wish I could rate the food and atmosphere, but unfortunately we were not served. We went to the counter and asked where to sit. The waitress indicated wherever was fine. She proceeded to clean 3 tables without acknowledging us or giving us a menu. We waited for about 15 min when a party of 4 arrived. They were acknowledged. Not sure if they were regulars, but we left dumbfounded. My wife and I actually debated if our lack of service was race related. As a retired USAF First Sergeant, I would hope that was not the case.

Kerry A.

Yelp
Great pizza with very friendly staff. Love you can and have to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

Yeji S.

Yelp
The best chicago stuffed pizza ever it comes high recommended. The taste is really good and it's so big. All the staffs are friendly and kind I love here!

Yelp
Listen, this place was packed. When we got there we can see the really catered to the retirement community. They are more of an Italian Chicago place vs Sicilian. Sauce on the pasta I couldn't eat my raviolis. Didn't seem fresh. Probably frozen. Pizza was okay. Sauce better on the pizza than on the pasta. I'm Sicilian, I'm from Brooklyn - I'm very picky in regards to my sauce so you may like it. I couldn't eat a second ravioli. Salad is just romain / I passed on it and gave it to the hubs. Bread sticks - not great You can byob and it was busy so people do like it. It's very crowded table wise. You are on top of one another. The gals that work there were nice. I wouldn't go back - if Italian is just Italian for you then you may like this.

Yelp
Little Sicily reminds me of a mom and pop cozy place. Two gentlemen who were friends of the original owner who retired. One from Sicily and one from Chicago who both had the same dream. Having their own restaurant that reminded them of the pizza places that were around when they were younger. The ones where the men were tossing the dough and spinning it in the air. The kind of place you worked at in high school. I would have to say they nailed it. A great little place with caring friendly people making pizza. Right now due to lack of staff they have limited their menu. It was so much fun watching George tossing the dough into the perfect shape and thickness. Offering dough to the children come in is an extra special touch. It feels magical and you definitely feel the mortal within realizing this skill takes a lot of practice and even after that I don't think I'd ever nail it. I came in while in the area as it was on my Yelp bucket list for places to try thanks to my Yelp friend Janelle's recommendation. They offer a thick Chicago style crust and thin. I picked out a thin crust which my husband prefers with no toppings. Surprisingly they offered a gluten free crust. It was cauliflower. No rice or gluten. I wouldn't recommend if you have a gluten allergy. The pizzas reminded us of a soft cracker. The sauce subtle in flavor. The cheese is the good stuff and not greasy. The gluten free is not just cauliflower and egg. I do not know what is in it, and I don't believe they know either. I never had a gluten free crust like that before, but it was too good and not even close to being cauliflower and egg alone. It is always a treat trying something new ran by extra special people.

Yelp
Stop by for lunch today and ordered a 12 inch pizza and an order of mushrooms. Everything came out hot and fresh. The crust was perfect and the toppings and cheese were tremendously flavorful and good! It's was a nice clean intimate place and the staff were courteous and simply nice people... I will be back for sure! I found my pizza restaurant! Thank you & Good service Little Sicily Pizza!

Yelp
We make it a point when we are free and wanting good Chicago pizza this is the place to go. Delicious

Yelp
Little Sicily Pizza is a weekly go to for us. Serving lunch and dinner. Excellent daily lunch specials. The very best pizza in the valley! Convenient location on Reems near Mountain View in Surprise. Bonus: BYOB allowed.
google avatar

Yelp
What a cute home feel restaurant. The customer service is so welcoming. You can feel they are authentic with their food. We tried their lunch specials which are a good deal. The food was good. Good portion and good flavor. Everything felt made fresh and warm. For sure make sure to try their food, looking forward to coming back and trying their pizza.

Yelp
Owner was awesome!! Food was awesome!! Will be back to try more varieties!! Looking forward to trying their pizza. I live Chicago style thin crust pizza!!

Clare A.

Yelp
Italian beef is wonderful The regular crust pizza is very good I prefer the thinner crust
google avatar

Yelp
Little Sicily has the best pizza in the area - thin crust, great toppings and very friendly staff. I've tried most of the pizza places within ten miles of Sun City West/Surprise and Little Sicily always comes out on top from my perspective. This is a tiny restaurant, you can bring your own beverage into the restaurant - very quaint, very quiet - just an amazing little hideaway.

Yelp
My experience here was absolutely unreal. The food and service was so amazing! My boyfriend and I had the Italian Beef Sandwich and a Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza. Everything was homemade. The Italian Beef was literally the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. So much flavor, I ate the whole thing and it was not small. It was unreal!!! We took home a tiramisu and a cannoli to top it all off. I can't believe we didn't know about this place sooner. The owner, George, was extremely nice and welcoming. It felt like I was in his home. We can't wait to go back! 1000/10

Yelp
Good was ok, pizza crust not cooked on the bottom. The girl at the counter had kind of an attitude. Ambiance was ok nothing spectacular.

ForAll T.

Yelp
Italian beef sandwich is amazing. Fried mushrooms and small personal pizza. The food is exceptional at all metrics. The service can't be matched. If eating in the dinning area it's cozy or outside(depending on time of day) you'll enjoy an ambiance of a family diner.

Jill W.

Yelp
Great little pizza place. The pizza was excellent, service was great and I love the ambiance of a small pizza joint. This is a hidden little gem!

Dennis D.

Yelp
My wife is lactose intolerant and a patient at Banner Hospital. She had a desire for pizza. I went to Albertson's and bought dairy free cheese. The proprietor refused to make a pizza with the cheese, since he was afraid she could get sick and blame them. Terrible customer service for a person with disabilities. Never again!!!!!

Chandler C.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Originally from Denver, Co and I have never had a traditional Chicago style pizza! This is my new favorite!!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
The food is ALWAYS top-notch. Fresh made cheese, dough is made daily as is the sauce! It is hands down my FAVORITE pizza place! Mom and Pop owned. When I come in I feel my granny and my pops around, they have Chicago Bear stuff and Chicago Cubs stuff as some of the decorations. I highly recommend eating here! This is the second time ordering the Chicago Stuffed Crust Pizza, AMAZING. We also ordered a thin crust Canadian Bacon and tomato pizza!

Mike G.

Yelp
For my taste, it's still the best Italian beef sandwich in town. Suggestion: Ask for extra gravy. Pour some onto your sandwich and use the rest as a dip.

Breanne N.

Yelp
10/10!!! My husband and I came here for the first time and were so impressed. It was very small inside so we decided to do take out. We got a stuffed pizza, fried zucchini, and garlic bread and everything was amazing

John K.

Yelp
Very authentic Chicago pizza The owners are friendly and the staff are great and very friendly

Shannon F.

Yelp
Thin crust tastes like cardboard. Cheese has no flavor. Sauce is good though but not much of it on the pizza. Won't go back again, I've given multiple opportunities to make a good pie. They are not the only ones- it's incredibly hard to find any good pizza in Surprise.

Joe P.

Yelp
The garlic cheese bread was a great starter but the Little Sicily combo pizza stole the show! Friendly service topped off a great experience here. Highly recommend this little slice of Italy!

J B.

Yelp
Antipasto salad, asked for No ham and got ham. The ham was supposed to be replaced with extra salami! There is hardly Any salami, this is more like lettuce a sprinkle of olives slice of tomato and a few shreds of cheese. PATHETIC for the price charged. Next time I will just make my own salad. How can you also forget to give dressing for a salad??? Ridiculous!! Both pastas had a burnt garlic taste. Waste of time and money, No Quality control!! Used to be a go to place for Italian, but no quality control has made it a drive by place!

Yelp
Our first time for pizza at Little Sicily was discouraging. We called in an order for XL pizza an hour before closing. Staff was very personable on the phone and at the counter when I picked up the pizza. This is where 2 stars were earned. When I got home and took my first bite I was very disappointed. The crust was crispy hard and tasted bland like a soda cracker. The toppings were sparce. The sauce tasted plain and the cheese had that low fat artificial texture and taste. I don't feel like this pizza was worth the $30 price tag. Zero stars for food quality and quantity.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of dining here last night! The staff are OUTSTANDING, went above and beyond! We were sitting between 2 large family gatherings and it felt like we were dining with family! The pizza was the best! We got the small Chicago Deep Dish Stuffed and just 2 pieces in each We were stuffed, lol! The owner came out with our tray and then even offered suggestion on how to reheat! I highly recommend Little Sicily Pizza in Surprise, you won't be disappointed or go away hungry! Family owned business!

Rosemary S.

Yelp
Yummy yummy and more Italian yummy delicious Chicago inspired dishes pizza with Italian flair

Joy K.

Yelp
Terrible service. There was a cockroach crawling next to our table and after letting our server know the owner came out and was extremely rude. We were treated so terribly we left before our food even arrived. I will never be back. They don't even deserve one star

Hannah T.

Yelp
Pizza was not very good and part of our order was missing. When it was brought to their attention, they acted as if it was not their mistake. Pizza crust was bland and the cheese to crust ratio was poor with there being more cheese than crust. It's laughable that this place claims to serve authentic Chicago-style pizza. On top of that, it's shameful that they call themselves a "family owned and operated establishment" when the owner takes up a space just for himself. It was witnessed that an elderly lady who had business next door, had parked in "his" spot, and then when she was leaving, found that he had blocked her car and then proceeded to scream and yell at her for having the audacity to park in "his" spot. This alone is reason to stay away. There are many other pizza restaurants in the area that are much better and deserving of customers.

Ann T.

Yelp
Pizza is below average and very expensive, I was saddened to see the owner puts his convenience over the customer by reserving a parking space in front of the restaurant, being in the service industry it saddens me to see this, to make matters worse I witnessed him berating an elderly woman for parking in his spot he blocked her in just so he could confront her and yell at her. Maybe putting more effort into delivering delicious pizza rather than monitoring your parking space would be a better way to use your time and energy. Be better

Yelp
You ever walk into an old friends house who's parents are maybe from another country and you can smell something delicious cooking in the kitchen and can hear a conversation going back and forth that might be a little louder than expected, but you can't wait to eat whatever that smell is? That was my first impression of Little Sicily. Homey, delicious smelling, and hungry! We ordered online on a Saturday afternoon. One pizza and 12 wings... HOT! 20-30 minutes later I was there pick up. The white pizza was phenomenal! Spinach, white sauce, garlic, and a thick layer of cheese. Bright and earthy at the same time. Rich and delicious. A big recommend here! The wings were good! Crispy and saucy. Good flavor not too hot! Smaller on the inside and a little on the dark side, but this place has just jumped to the front of the line for my pizza joint. You can not beat a mom and pop where you can literally see mom and pop working there!
google avatar

Alysa W.

Yelp
Ordered thin crust pizza and baked rigatoni dinner. The place was packed when we arrived which we thought was a good sign. The employees were very nice and our to-go order was brought out quickly. Vibe was cozy because the place was a bit small but overall the food was just okay.
google avatar

Sharesa U.

Yelp
If you like Chicago style, you'll like this pizza. It has a bit of spice to the sauce, which is not what I'm used to, but it does the job.
google avatar

Dolores D.

Yelp
Really good pizza! Got the square pizza! Chicago style! They also have deep dish and regular crust pizza. This pizza makes you want to eat more and more slices and you need to stop your self lol. The wings were good. Also got the Chicago dog, nothing special about it. Small little place and smells good inside.
google avatar

Jim P.

Yelp
I have been a customer for 10 years. Very good pizza. BYOB if you wish to dine in! Deep dish is probably the best in town. Thin crust is kinda tough. I prefer the deep dish!

Evan O.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and great tavern style pizza to boot! Will definitely be back and happy to support a local business.

Tom K.

Yelp
I always have Italian beef or the combo lunch special. Never disappointed. Never have had the pizza but looks good. Good job.
google avatar

Leo L.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza with pepperoni. Didn't get the pepperoni on the pizza. Instead of making it right they denied the wrong-doing. Sent picture of the pizza with no pepperoni, they said "it's under the cheese!" It wasn't. For 40 bucks for a 18" pizza (cost with fees and tip) this place is a joke.
