I’ve been going here every weekend for the past year, and this past week is the last strike for me in terms of the downgrade of service and quality. This past Saturday, the one worker (yes on a beautiful busy Saturday they had one employee) completely burnt the grounds, resulting in disgusting coffees (we got an iced coffee and a latte, and both were horrible). On Sunday, the one employee closed up shop right in front of me after I waited 20 minutes in line to make more pies. Today, I went for a quick pre-work coffee and the employee took 10 minutes to make 2 coffees right before I ordered, resulting in me being late. Then, the employee could not be more apathetic about taking my order, making me feel like a jerk for just wanting a coffee? Lastly, he rolled his eyes and sighed when I asked for a straw, when you need a straw for the large coffees? Every other employee just gives a straw to me when I order, it feels personal. After spending $15-25 both days every weekend for the past year I am officially done with this location, which is a shame because of its close proximity. I have been deluding myself on its efficiency though, if you want a reliable quick cup of coffee just go somewhere corporate. This is what happens when you try to support small businesses but complacency overtakes the culture. Truly a shame.
