"This seafoam-tiled spot on Beacon Hill is as effortlessly fun as a standing-room-only party at a studio apartment. People spill out onto the porch and into the grassy, bare-bones backyard in a scene so alive it doesn’t even need background music. And since Little Thing’s staff know their sh*t about sourcing obscure wine from all over the planet, you’ll drink plummy-dark rosé with clouded hibiscus notes, lambrusco rosso that’s begging for a delivery pie from Pagliacci, or even non-alcoholic sparkling heirloom apple juice that could bruise up a bottle of Martinelli’s in a street fight. Come for drinks while you wait for a spot at Homer, Musang, or Bar Del Corso. Or better yet, just hang here the whole night." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente

"With a lot of natural light and a warm, relaxing environment, this small Beacon Hill wine bar is perfect for when you want to take notes in the margins without looking too pretentious. Go on the early side to secure a bar seat. Not bad, but would be nice if stools had higher backs Any Italian pour with “Our Brilliant Friend”" - gabe guarente
"Located inside a nondescript brick building is Beacon Hill’s newest wine shop and bar. Here you can purchase a bottle, or sit and stay awhile in their small space with a glass of chenin blanc or Piedmont nebbiolo. We recently checked out Little Thing. Read our first thoughts here. "What started as a wine club now has a brick-and-mortar location in Beacon Hill, serving as a well-stocked bottle shop and a laid-back wine bar. It’s a cute little place where you come for a bottle and stay for a glass, enjoying casual conversation and wine talk along the way. The offerings here rotate quite a bit (except for the Miller High Life bottles — those are always around for non-wine drinkers), but if you’re unsure where to start, just ask for recommendations — the staff is as knowledgeable as it comes." - Brianna Gunter
