"At this stylish seafood spot in Gowanus, expect gussied-up takes on Northeastern (and beyond) clam-shack classics. The raw bar menu is pretty affordable for the genre, and includes a lavish tower for $125, with 24 oysters, a dozen clams, six shrimp, half of a chilled lobster, and salmon crudo; smaller versions go for $75 or $40. Besides full-fledged fish feasts, this is a great option for a drink and some oysters post-work, too. There’s a cafe offshoot in Greenpoint, too. Note: cash only." - Alexandra Ilyashov

"At this stylish seafood spot decorated with flotsam and jetsam is so near the Gowanus Canal you can almost hear the waves lapping. Relish gussied-up takes on Northeastern clam-shack fare, including New England-style fish and chips served with Old Bay fries, house pickles, and slaw, along with mussels, Portuguese fisherman’s stew, and a whole porgy fit for two with roasted potatoes." - Eater Staff

"Littleneck looks like a spot you’d find in a town on Cape Cod where locals in wool sweaters casually use terms like “squall” and “windward.” It may sound gimmicky for a place in Gowanus to have buoys and rope knots hanging on the walls, but the seafood here is good enough that you won’t see it that way. They have a raw bar, and a solid lobster roll. " - Bryan Kim, Carina Finn Koeppicus

Had a nice time here for brunch today. We got great seats (corner booth, by the window) and the restaurant has a quaint, cozy feel. We started with a beer and the Bloody Murder (classic bloody mary topped with a piece of crispy fried chicken). What a thing to behold! Quite impressive. We started off by sharing an order of the P.E.I. MUSSELS (coconut curry broth, thai basil, cilantro, baguette). It was absolutely excellent and I would order it again in a heartbeat. I definitely recommend ordering extra bread to sop up the remaining broth, because it's delicious. For entrees, we had a LOBSTER ROLL (Maine style, but could be maine or connecticut style, house pickles, slaw) and an order of FISH & CHIPS (beer-battered local hake, LN tartar, old bay fries, house pickles, slaw). The latter was fantastic—they got the beer batter just right and the fries were lovely, too. The lobster roll was a fairly generous portion and seemed fresh, but the dressing was pretty lackluster/no taste. I took half home to dress it up there as not to waste it. I was actually really disappointed that they were out of my two top picks, the crab roll as well as the clam roll, both of which they're known for. I would give it another try because everything aside from the lobster roll was great, and I do really want to try the crab roll and clam roll. Another time!

Amazing brunch! The clams and oysters on the half shell were fresh and cold. So many delicious options on the menu. Drinks were amazing too. Atmosphere was great. Arguably the best brunch in the city!

Google
We came for brunch and had oysters, Ricotta pancakes and a lobster roll. Everything was good. The oysters were small, fresh with subtle flavors, the pancakes were fluffy and light, and the lobster roll had a lot of lobster, which is not that common. The fries also tasted great, and service was seamless. Overall, a great hidden location for seafood in the neighborhood.

The fried whole porgy fish was delicious. Everything we ordered was not greasy. They were crispy and the batter was thin. The oyster and clams were very fresh. Love thw clam chowder. It did not have too much cream..you can taste the clam juice. The onlyndraw back is the servicem they are fast at getting orders but our food took forever to come out from the kitchen.

4.17.21 - oysters 🦪 oyster 🦪. Good selection, friendly service, tasty pancakes! Not so good for large parties and doable for medium parties. On a warm day it’s a great spot to hang out and enjoy the morning sun.

Unexpected in a great way!! First time here and came in on a whim. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were perfectly balanced...(Yes, there are some places that mess up a basic vodka & cranberry). We ordered several items off the menu and we were not disappointed. The littleneck clams tasted fresh and clean, the shrimp cocktail was excellent. For me the star was the clam roll...it tasted amazing and was stuffed full. I highly recommend it! Also the crab cake was light and flavorful. Then dessert came...YUM...these little donuts, made fresh, hot soft inside, crispy outside, with a Jameson infused whipped cream. I enjoyed the entire experience and will be visiting again bringing friends & family. I hope my next experience will be as great as my first, for my expectations are quite high now, so many places fall off because the quality goes down. Keep up the great work to the front and back of house.

Trish

Google
Edited: I accidentally rated service as 1 star. I meant 5/5!! I forgot the server’s name but he was very attentive and friendly. Timing between courses was perfect. Perfect amount of attention without hovering. Please tell the male server who was working on Wednesday 1/24/2024 around 8pm that he was absolutely awesome Near Union Street Brooklyn. This place is a hidden gem (I mean that I couldn’t believe we didn’t need a reservation: we made one, in case…)anything Came on a Wednesday night, fyi: ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS on Wednesday’s! I got the New England Clam Chowder and a Crab Roll. Shared Raw Oysters, and my date had the Fisherman’s Stew: added the Lobster Tail; clams, mussels, shrimp, kale, with a tomato based sauce tasted so delicious!!! This is a new weekly staple for us!

Google
Best lobster roll NYC :D Piled super high on a perfectly toasted and buttered, sturdy hot dog bun. Served with a perfectly reasonable amount of old bay fries and slaw. The Gowanus tower is a great appetizer order for two: a dozen oysters (3 varieties), six clams (come with mezcal vinegar - huge fan!! Brilliant idea!!), and six shrimp cocktail. That and a bottle of Riesling for less than the price of four glasses of the stuff really did the trick. If you want to fish out or if you miss your real New England upbringing, this is a great place to do it.

Yelp
This corner in Gowanus is a foodie hub. Down the block from Claro's & Cafe Mats with Kiosko787 and Baba's Pierogis & fave bakery/ provisions - Runner & Stone across the street. My bf is right there in Carroll St. We tucked into Littleneck for a Sunday supper. First we got a coveted booth not saying you will as he and his family are fixtures in the area. Last time we ate here during the pandemic I was underwhelmed not on this visit. Ate: Chowder Fluke with strawberries Fisherman stew Scallops over beet risotto Charred broccolini Firstly, the chowder is perfect! More clam brothy than creamy with al dente potatoes I will eat this chowder over and over. The crudo was my least favorite because some hits were spicy other bits under seasoned. The stew had a tomato broth if the gods seasoned with chorizo and the scallops were so beautifully cooked though my bf took the darkest one I saved for my last bite. It's the freshness of the fish that shines through!

Yelp
I came here for dinner with my friend and we had a blast! The drinks and the food were soooo good and flavorful! We started with the fritto misto, and oysters and my gosh, incredible! Our server Sudam was great! Everyone was so helpful! I had the PEI mussels and my friend had the whole fried porgy, both divine! I had a gold rush which is my fave drink and she had purple rain and a glass of the Prosecco brut. I really appreciate a restaurant that has a good dessert selection or it's just chocolate, the bread pudding here was sooo good! Definitely recommend Littleneck!

Yelp
Really loved this place! My friend and I stumbled on it when we were walking in the area and decided to have lunch there. We tried their house-squeezed lemonade, which was absolutely delicious. We ordered 6 oysters to split, and they were super fresh and tasty. I ordered the clam toast, which was toast soaked in a spicy tomato sauce topped with clams and fried onions. It was soooo delicious; I cleaned my plate. My friend got the lobster roll and also loved it. We split the old bay fries, which I thought lacked a bit of seasoning. Overall, a great and fresh seafood meal.

Yelp
Quick and dirty: small portions with overpriced fries. great for an oyster happy hour. Okay, I've come here twice before. Each time, I'm just not impressed so I'll keep this review short. Oysters are currently out of season so I refuse to pay more than $2 for one. So this place was a quick oyster happy hour spot that was in the price range (1.75/ea). The oysters we great and shucked very well. The mignonette had this delicious acidic tang which was surprisingly delightful. I also ordered the PEI mussels. Now, I'm not sure if this was a happy hour portion or not, but I would be furious is I paid $19 for this little serving of mussels. With that said, the flavor combo is classic and using it with mussels was a great choice. The coconut and basil meshed very well with the flavor of the mussels. And I enjoyed dipping the bread into the broth. I didn't get it with chorizo, next time I will. The pairing of mussels and clams with sausage, especially a pork-based sausage, is not new but I'm not sure how good it would be with the coconut curry. The fries were way too salty. The aioli it's served with was tasty but nothing could take away how sally the fries were. I didn't try any cocktail, instead settling on a beer. Overall the food is good. Nothing to rave about but definitely a place to revisit for a chill happy hour.

Yelp
The food and drinks were GREAT! We had a really nice time. There were 7 of us, so we made reservations in advance. We also came right before happy hour (Tuesday at 5:00pm) and took advantage of the discounted food and drinks. COCKTAILS I had the Pimm's Cups with pimm's, house citrus soda and cucumber. I hardly see Pimm's served at restaurants, so I had to get it. It was very refreshing and light in alcohol content. My sister Lily had the Fifthy Lily (lol...can't help it). It was similar to a Dirty Martini but with pickle juice. It was interesting. I don't love it, but don't hate it. FOOD I wanted everything on the menu. I'm a seafood girl and love fried food (in moderation). The raw oysters and clams were fresh and clean. We had 3 dozens! The fritto misto and lobster rolls are my top pick. The portions are generous. I love that the rolls/sandwiches are served with old bay seasoned fries. That's the OG way to do it. We were very happy with our food and drinks! Highly recommended. Parking is limited but worth the hassle.

Mark K.

Yelp
I went here for happy hour oysters, but I would classify this spot as a place to make sure to not get oysters at. The decor is cute albeit somewhat depressing; I'd classify it as rural seafood restaurant meets long John silvers, but it works. I wasn't amused by the popcorn shrimp, but the shrimp were tasty even though they were too oily. The main highlight was the two steely Dan songs they played at the end.

Richard V.

Yelp
Some of the best seafood I've ever had! Great atmosphere and lovely staff! I highly recommend the popcorn shrimp and the clam chowder.

Yelp
Went to brunch at Littleneck on Sunday afternoon. Despite a hiccup with the oysters, still had a lovely meal with lots of tasty food and drink options. Quality: Surprised it took so long for me to get to this local seafood spot. We started our meal with some cocktails. I went with the Bloody Murder, which was a bloody mary with a large piece of fried chicken on top. Very solid take on the drink and hard to complain about a fried chicken addition. However, the Frozen Painkiller is not to be missed. The Oysters were a little disappointing, lots of shell fragments inside, but luckily the rest of the meal made up for it. The Fluke Crudo was fresh and tasty. The Lobster Roll was substantial and had large juicy pieces. And the Fried Chicken Sandwich is probably what they do best, loved the tartar sauce aioli mix. Quantity: Strong drinks, decent portion sizes for food. Value: $18 for the Bloody Murder. $12 for the Frozen Painkiller. $3.50 for each Oyster. $16 for Fluke Crudo. $32 for the Lobster Roll. $16 for the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Ambiance: Littleneck is located just over the border into Gowanus. The shop is along a small stretch of bars and restaurants and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area is a highly decorated shelter, including fans blowing on this hot day. Inside, they lean into the ocean and boat decor throughout the long dining room. The one strange element was the erratic music, which was bouncing all over different genres throughout our meal. Crowd: Small crowd during brunch. Service: Friendly and efficient staff. Parking: Plenty of street parking in the nearby area.

Yelp
We all have cravings that we need to address & today mine were oysters. I stumbled onto little neck from the tool we all use today (tik tok). When I arrived I sat at the bar & ordered six oysters with their old bay fries. For my drink order, I ordered the margarita with salt on the rim (sorry sugar rim lovers). The oysters were the perfect size and delicious. The fries were the perfect balance of crisp and flavor. I recommend both menu items for your next visit. The service was pretty decent. I also add a picture of their to go bottles. It's just the cutest little bottle.

Yelp
I'd only been for lobster and crab rolls during the pandemic, so I was thrilled to come when they finally reopened for dining! (those rolls and takeout drinks were always A+ though) The clam toast stole the show - incredible broth to dip in, meaty clams, and thickly cut miche, crusty outside, soft thick inside. The fish sandwich was delicious as well, a nice crisp crust, and a hot meaty inside. However, the clam chowder was a bit on the watery side, with very little clams (and the ones that were in there were very small). The bloody caesar was pretty clamato-heavy, and the raw clam atop was a bit too fishy for me - though I'm probably just not used to raw clams (was kind of grisly in texture; not like an oyster at all). Overall, great place for seafood, probably best in the overall neighborhood! Can't wait to come for dinner.

Sherry A.

Yelp
Great fresh seafood! Every meal I have had at Littleneck is delicious! Severs friendly, great atmosphere!

Marsha J.

Yelp
Went with a group for dinner. Pros: - easy to find street parking - close to public transportation - cozy maritime ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Good for dates / groups (up to 6-8 people) - great drinks - food: glory plateau (lobster great, oysters good, mussels ehhh), fritto misto and fish of the day was perfectly cooked and delicious Cons: - oysters were good but not great. Had better in the area. Mussels were average. - lobster roll was okay Overall: tough to find good seafood in this area Brooklyn. Would go again but maybe try different things on the menu.

Christian Y.

Yelp
Mid. Everything was alright. Service was okay. Food was okay, but leaned on the saltier side. Prices are above average but on par with a gentrifying neighborhood. Nothing to rave about, but also not much to complain about either.

Sarah D.

Yelp
Delicious Gowanus Platter with a bottle of wine. Excellent service and understated decoration. A definite local winner!

Prianka S.

Yelp
Got a dozen oysters and they are probably the best oysters I've had in the area. Definitely worth visiting!

Pett O.

Yelp
This is a beautiful small restaurant in Gowanus. It brings a flavor of the proximity with the ocean. As a sea food focused restaurant, it shows what the ethos of the area could be if the post-industrial character of the area evolved in an ecological reparation of the canal and the soil around it. The space is quite nice, and so is the service. Oyster selection is great, and food in general is great. Maybe the menu could be a bit more surprising that what it is; but overall this is a great restaurant.

Patrick S.

Yelp
Great food, very friendly staff, a bit noisy. I really do not like those plastic containers. What is being stored in there? Something for cocktails? It seems these liquids are being stored in plastic for weeks or months. I find that rathert disgusting. As a restaurant, should you not be able to come up with a container that does not poison your customers?

Shannon S.

Yelp
Everything tasted so fresh, the drinks were so tasteful as well! Their dirty martini is the hostess was so nice and so was our waiter. Was super surprised how quiet it was in the restaurant, definitely recommend going if you like seafood

Junior L.

Yelp
This place used to be my favorite as they sported an amazing happy hour from 4-7 with $4 beers and $1 oysters and then idk if they aren't making money but prices have skyrocketed. The happy hour is only until 6pm. They charge $28 for a lobster roll with no fries. You can't even order a normal side portion, you have to order a $6 basket of fries. When I asked what's up with that they told me people don't eat the fries. Yeah, right. Also the new bartender there m, he's kind of a jerk. I used to go there all the time and now I just feel snubbed by the staff and the prices are literally insane. Also they have a long history of C ratings which for raw seafood is kind of terrifying. I miss the old littleneck.

Beth M.

Yelp
The food is fresh and clean. However it is a little pricey for the amount of food. I feel like there needs to be a balance between the amount of food you are given and the price.

Allison C.

Yelp
I freaking love this place, I have a great time whenever I go, the food is delicious (just like New England) and the atmosphere is fantastic. 100/10

Steven R.

Yelp
A little taste of the North Shore of Massachusetts. Excellence service and care. Came for drinks and apps. Cesar, Leo and Sura were very attentive and made sure we had a good time . Check in with them and your night will go well. Great decor, lighting and music. Enjoy the vibes and the excellent staff.

Shani H.

Yelp
Stumbled on this spot when some plans in Brooklyn fell through. Nice, quant and dimly lit. Really chill vibe. Me and a friend just ordered a bunch of stuff to share. We tried the Connecticut lobster roll, calamari, and fries. Everything was really good. The calamari comes with a mix of other types of seafood. I was pleasantly surprised. The lobster roll was fresh and came with huge chunks of lobster. We tried a couple of drinks too. I cant remember the names but they were both very well made. There was a nice outdoor covered patio with heating and a couple tables inside. We opted to sit inside which was nice. The table we were at was heated so even though the door was open, we still felt warm. I would definitely go back to this place. It was really good and we felt comfortable chilling in there for a couple hours to enjoy the ambiance.

Kathleen R.

Yelp
Service was terrible. No hospitality whatsoever. Food was delicious and the lobster rolls in particular were worth another visit. The wine was also excellent. Ambiance was lovely, we sat outside and enjoyed the weather. But our server Jemma treated us like we loitering on private property instead of guests of the restaurant. No hospitality whatsoever was given from this employee. Bartenders inside seemed to have the same unappealing lack of hospitality. I guess of all things to be terrible I'm happy it was the service. Because at least we were able to enjoy the food and drinks and do our best not to let the poor service ruin our experience. I've been in the hospitality business for 15 years. I'd fire all these people and start fresh. Much room for I prevent on the staff. The server who started our table out was lovely, but Jemma took over for her shortly into our visit. That was disappointing.

Rits M.

Yelp
I came here for dinner. You should make reservations to come here. They tend to get busy especially now in warmer weather. They have an outdoor seating space due to Covid and they also have indoor space. The people who do not have reservations were seated outside. The inside looks like we are possibly in Boston or Martha's Vineyard. They usually have oyster specials and I particularly liked the flying point oysters that they had. For drinks I tried the gowanus sunset which was delicious and I highly recommend this one. I kind of chickened out and got the burger for dinner but it actually was very good and I was surprised. I would get this again. We tried the clam chowder soup which wasn't very creamy and that's what made it perfect. It had a good amount of potato in it too. We also try the crab roll which comes with fries and coleslaw. I would say this one wasn't very memorable unfortunately. I will say that the waitstaff is really good and helpful. Unfortunately the bathroom doesn't lock very well but it's clean and unisex. I will come back here again for sure

Terri Lynn M.

Yelp
Food is always fresh and well prepared. One of my Brooklyn go-tos for raw seafood. I highly recommend

Michelle P.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on Saturday. Great, fair price point for seafood platter. All seafood on the platter were fresh and accompanying sauces were also tasty. Also had the mussels and the clam chowder, which I'd reorder. Bloody Mary was also good. Will be back for actual brunch items next time.

Yelena C.

Yelp
A lovely place with great service! From the cocktails, friendly dino and au pear had a strong alcohol taste, jake's harbor was very good and not as sweet as it sounds. The oysters were good, fresh. Frito miso was good, the cod and calamari were perfectly cooked. I thought the clams in the appetizer and in the sandwich were too chewy and heavy on the breading. The lobster roll was amazing and had a generous portion of lobster. The sides were impressive, coleslaw had a fresh taste, the pickle had nice spice to it, and the french fries had a good balance of crunchy and soft.

Marisa M.

Yelp
Great food! We came here because we watched Beat Bobby Flay and the chef and owner was on it and beat Bobby Flay! So I was like yea I have to try the clam belly sandwhich that was better than Bobby's. And I did! It was soo good. I loved it. Lots of clam, it was the perfect amount of deep friedness. The creamy hot sauce wasn't too hot and i love how they give you a pickle spear plus slices. The caraway slaw was different, packed with caraway flavor but it worked! Loved it. My boyfriend had fish and chips which was good. I loved the fries it came with. Though ultimately I liked the sandwhich better. You cant go wrong ordering it. Though it was pricey. 19 for the sandwhich and 26 for the fish and chips. 26 for fish and chips is really expensive I would have priced it at 20. Cash only and the place has a B health grade. Despite cash only, health grade and priceyness I would say def go here. Go here for the clam belly sandwhich at least try it once even if you dont like clams!

Jermaine C.

Yelp
Little Neck is one of the more special places to dine for both dinner and brunch in New York City. Although I haven't had literally every single dish on the menu.. there is zero doubt in my mind that it is ALL exceptional. The lemon ricotta pancake is one of the most comforting choices amongst the many others to choose from for brunch. Perfect consistency, thoughtful portion and just the right amount of flavor. The shrimp and grits is EXCELLENT. You'll be pressed to find a better place for it. The BEC isn't your typical deli or food truck BEC that you grab and shove down your throat before work however it is surely something you may want two of. The squid hash is a fine example of balance. Last but not least the Bloody Mary... I'll wait. Oh.. and I can't forget the vibes. Being someone from the Caribbean I love to hear and see our culture embraced. Enjoy the reggae music as you eat wishing that you can just stay here all day to listen to orders being placed, cars going by, great conversation, and laughter.

Matt W.

Yelp
Stopped in Littleneck this evening - food was incredible and the beer selection, while limited, had a lot I liked. The Green City IPA was my choice. Had a Connecticut Lobster Roll and some happy hour oysters. High salinity which is my preference. Kurt (Curt) behind the bar made the experience more enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

Teresa R.

Yelp
Life never fails to surprise us, whether it be a unexpected bouquet arriving at your doorstep, a 3 star movie review that ending up being a 5 star movie, a found dime in the street (or better yet a 20), Littleneck Resteraunt was one of those surprises. Littleneck Resteraunt, where the food was so unique and delicious you'd almost want to carve your name in the table to say, Yes I was here. Searching through Open Table for a Resteraunt close to a friends house, but not the same Dumbo locations that we have visited many times before, we came upon Littleneck. Littleneck is located at 288 3rd Avenue, which I was told was the Gowanus section of Brooklyn. We entered, my husband in his crown celebrating his birthday and our treatment was no less than royal. As we walked up to the Resteraunt you first notice, the outdoor dining area, rustic with wooden tables, and wooden heaters in preparation for the cooler months. The inside was lit with sparkling lights that made me feel warm and cozy, unassuming you didn't know what to expect and trust me you will not be Disappointed. We started with a signature frozen confection with Rum and Coconut that made me, have three. Dinner was exceptional, ,my husband started with Oysters while our friend and I ordered lobster tails, so good we asked for another. Mussels and chorizo, a fish stew, fish and chips...everything was fresh and delicious. You don't need a 5 page menu when you have dishes like this to choose from. This was truly a wonderful surprise one that we will enjoy again and again.

Camille M.

Yelp
Little neck is easily my favorite seafood place in Brooklyn. It transports you straight up to New England with its super fresh seafood. Amazing lobster roll, oysters, clams, just delicious overall.

Pali A.

Yelp
I really don't think it is a bad place but we really had a bad experience today! We got there around 4:30pm (happy hour) and we got quite a good amount of oysters and clams and good talk! After the appetizers we ordered 3 dishes and a bottle of wine, they took the order without saying anything, served the wine and all good! When the food arrived the hostess came to tell us that we have 15 mins to finish the 3 mains and the bottle of Cava, as they have a reservation and we already spent a lot of time there. I really believe that they could have some awareness and told us before ordering! Even they suggested (with the food in front of us) to take the food to go. I think it was so disrespectful and at the end a very bad organization and communication.

Thelma C.

Yelp
Littleneck is doing casual, fresh seafood right! We've been here a handful of times for lunch and dinner and have enjoyed everything we've tried, especially the CT lobster roll- and now we can add the Crab Roll and Clam Roll! The old bay fries and coleslaw are perfect sides for these sandwiches. The only reason why we don't come back more often is because it's on the pricey side given the portions, but Littleneck has little competition in the neighborhood as far as I'm concerned. Definitely a spot I'd bring out of town friends and family for a good, delicious time.

Elissa S.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I wandered in after deciding Pig Beach wasn't the vibe we were looking for. I was impressed as soon as we walked in the door because we were immediately greeted warmly by the smiling hostess. She politely informed us that since we didn't have a reservation, we had the option of dining at the bar. The bartender was equally welcoming and friendly as the hostess. He made great suggestions for food and drink and patiently answered our many questions about the menu. The food and drinks were clearly carefully curated and delicious. Top notch service, food, drinks, and space. We'll definitely be back.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
Just okay lobster rolls but good mussels and good service. convenient happy hour and cute vibe.

Janna Y.

Yelp
This has to be one of the best brunch places in NYC. Even if you don't like seafood, which is a specialty here, you would enjoy the lemon ricotta pancakes and the fried chicken. They also make really good fries. Every time I've been here, the vibe is just right -- good people (shout out to Elisa!) and good music (always reggae). My only regret is not having enough stomachs to eat all the things. Please come support this amazing gem of a restaurant -- I am always thankful that the dishes they have here exist for me to enjoy. What I've ordered; Bloody caesar drink (Bloody Mary with a clam) Spicy tequila sunrise Shrimp and grits (best I've EVER had and so will you. Prove me wrong) Squid hash (fantastic) Lemon ricotta pancakes (best I've ever had. Prove me wrong again) Daily oysters (always good)

Ernie S.

Yelp
I leave reviews very infrequently. However the knowledgeable and friendly staff meant I needed to say something here. Details are not important just know they will treat you like family! In all the best of ways.

Emily C.

Yelp
Food was very good except for the grilled shrimp small plate which was just okay. We split oysters and then crab and lobster rolls. Service unfortunately very slow, especially for drinks.

Yelp
Really loved coming here for happy hour. Sat at the bar and ordered a dozen oysters ($1.25 each), something to drink (draft beers were $5) and a side of French fries. I felt like we made out like bandits! The bartender was super nice and attentive. The bathroom is all the way in the back behind the kitchen and it's a little odd to get to. But it's kinda fun to check out what's going on back there. We will be back! I want to try their lobster rolls.

Yelp
Overall, we enjoyed this place. We decided to make it our 2018 NYE dinner with family while we visited Brooklyn. The oysters were delicious, served cold and promptly. I got steamer clams, and the serving size was decent, but no side was included. We ordered a la carte sides (broccolini and fries) which helped offset this. My husband and BIL got the stew, which they enjoyed and was a food size. My SIL got the mussels with chorizo (which is not crumbled, it's more sausage-like) which was good. We both got 4422 drinks (pictured) and they were yummy. The down side, this place is cash only. It was a little inconvenient due to the higher prices at the end of the meal, but it would not hinder me from going back. Just be prepared!!

Yelp
Wonderful service! Ambient space, like walking into a soft lit boat house on the water. Covid Safety measures comfortable and secure- lots of hand sani, space, outdoor and indoor options with definite vents and fans circling the air. It would have been nice to see that what I was ordering was gluten free or gluten full. They let us know upon entering the bathroom was broken - shit happens(hehe), they were great to mention there were places next door that would safely welcome littleneck patrons for bathroom use. When I ordered a gluten full item on the menu by mistake (I didn't mention I was gluten free until the food arrived- my bad), the waiter was prompt to offer a gluten free alternative and kitchen staff were equally prompt to bring my replacement dish of squash soup without any spills, slop, or compromise to detail. The squash soup was light and yet satiating- I did not leave feeling hungry.

Yelp
Great neighborhood seafood place. It was very casual, no frills and enjoyable experience. Our server was excellent and very helpful. Cocktails were great. The fish and chips were delicious and the clam toast was okay. The sauce was good and it was well made but maybe I have been in denial all these years of my dislike/never being impressed by clams. I've also been here before and had mussels which were much better (great sauce) and a lobster and crab roll. Overall, a good dining experience and worth coming back to.

Yelp
Cash only. Easy to walk in without a reservation (at least it was for us on a Sunday night around 7:15pm), though you can also reserve on opentable. The raw clams were good - $12/dozen or otherwise $1.50 each. The raw oysters were a bit expensive so didn't try those ($2.50-$3.75 each). Clam chowder wasn't bad - very standard and good but nothing to write home about. Lobster roll was tiny but did have a healthy serving of lobster. The side of fries it came with was also good. Not a bad place if you are in the area and just want some raw clams!

Yelp
I had the best time here on the two occasions I visited and am just getting around to posting. Once I came for dinner when we could eat inside. We were the only indoor diners and felt very safe and distanced from everyone else there. Both of my kids (picky eaters) devoured their food. (A burger and a clam roll, and I got a lobster roll which was also delish. The next time we came for brunch. We are outside, and our table WAS a heater. Which was great. My kids got pancakes and I had the incredible charred squid hash (unreal). The people were super friendly, and helpful. We felt very safe. They were careful and seemed to be following all precautions. Would go back again for. Sure.

Yelp
Super cute seafood place in Gowanus. Went here for a late brunch. Started with Bloody Marys, which are pretty much the perfect drink when you're having seafood. We split a half dozen oysters (west coast), the Ipswich clam roll, a poutine with clam gravy, and the New Englander breakfast (salt cod fritter, baked beans, eggs, scallions). Yeah, apparently we must have been starving or something. The oysters were fresh and tasty. The clam roll was small, but bursting with fried clams and tons of tartar sauce. It was so good, although a little messy to eat. The poutine with clam gravy was not as unique as it sounded, and the cheese was melted rather than curds, but we gobbled it up anyway. The New Englander breakfast was great, and while I enjoyed the salt cod fritter, for some reason the baked beans were the star of the dish for me. As before, it's not a cheap place and you will be putting down a good amount of cash, especially if you do it piggie-style like we did. But the food is great and the servers are friendly, and I do love seafood, sooo....
