Live Fire Burger

Surprisingly good for an airport spot! The place was really clean, service was super quick, and the staff were friendly. Perfect if you just need a fast bite before your flight. Exactly what you hope for at the airport — no stress, just good food and great service.

Should’ve read the reviews first. We were so hungry during a connection and decided to give this place a shot, big mistake. The burger bun wasn’t even warmed, and the service was disappointing. One of us had to grab a towel from the counter to dry a wet chair, and the server just said “thank you” and walked away like it was our job. It also took way too long to get a simple beer. Not worth the stop, even if you’re hungry.

Wow. Honestly the best burger I have eaten in my life. After a gruelling flight connection I decided to give this place a try. My server Amanda welcomed me in and made me the best old fashioned. She was charming and so professional. Made me feel at home. I shook the chef hand a commended him on an excellent burger. I had the bacon and blue cheese burger. Stop by and see for yourselves. Thank you Amanda.

It's pretty loud in here. The service is great. I really liked their dry rub wings, and their fries. The burger was OK. A little dry for it being $23. It's expensive here. But its an airport so.... all in all, not a horrible experience. I would eat here again. Would love to try the waffle fries and have some more wings!

The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and cooperative. Menu looks great, we were very hungry and hopeful to get some great burgers while waiting for our flights. The shock came when we had to pay for our meals - because we could not. We tried 3 cards in total (debit and credit, etc.). We had no cash. Cards that worked in all other shops at the same airport, that worked in other countries did NOT work here. What a brilliant way to slowly destroy your business!

Really good burgers and fries. The reviews mentioned high prices and long waits, but really good burgers and fries. w We had a long layover with a craving for a good burger, the place was pretty empty, so we gave it a shot. We received our order in about 10 minutes from placing our order, and were very happy with the food. Great burgers, we both got the Longhorn, and one side of regular fries and one with sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. We are glad we stopped by.

We ordered burgers and Parmesan fries to go. We had a quick connecting flight to catch. Husband had to stay back to select the food while we went to gate because it was boarding. We were missing the fries. Didn’t have time to go back. Burgers were huge and gourmet, but overcooked. Fries that came with the burger were great. Amanda waited on us and was super and very nice.

For an airport restaurant this place needs some help. Layover with 6 people stopped in here for lunch. We ordered with a server and had to “prepay” for the food including a tip. Almost $200 later and the food came out 2 plates at a time. The first two people got their lunch and were happy…. While the rest of us waited and watched while the food was burning on the grill. When the food did come out it was wrong. I asked for no bun, my bad for not saying “gluten allergy,” but could have hurt someone since they initially plated it with a bun. There is a good court further down…. Keep walking, you’ll have better food and service.

This was soooo bad. I don't know what else to say, lol What we had: LONGHORN BURGER w/FRENCH FRIES: blah! DRY-RUBBED WINGS: Fried hard to perfection. Ends there. OLD-FASHIONED: Mess! Tasted like a mojito mixed with sangria. [not pictured] Ginger Ale: Bad. How!? [not pictured] Everything smelled good and looked even better. But. No. HUGE disappointment. The people and atmosphere here are fine, but when a joint charges $20 for a mediocre burger, I draw the line. I certainly am a champion for capitalism, but this place goes beyond that ... right into gouging. The food is just OK. The bun wasn't fresh, but the meat was cooked like I requested. Service is OK too-- though everything pretty much happens via a QR code. Next time I want a burger in an airport, I will not patronize this place.

The food was good, the staff was friendly but the food preparation was glacially slow. I barely made my flight because of the slow preparation. I sat 45 minutes waiting for my order. I try to be patient but that was ridiculous.

Super disappointing experience. Waited 20 minutes for my food even though my coworker got his. I flagged the server down to ask about it. I then went and told her to cancel it because I was out of time and my flight was boarding. She said they were putting it in a to go box for me right then. So I waited the minute for it. When I finally got a chance to eat it, it was stone cold, bun disintegrated because it was all wet, burger was basically raw in the center, and 12 cold fries.

If you value your time, money, or sanity, do not eat at Live Fire Burger in the Houston Airport. Six of us ordered lunch -- it turned into a 60-minute disaster. Two burgers came out first. Fifteen minutes later, two more. Fifteen minutes after that, the fifth. The sixth order was flat-out forgotten, and when it finally crawled out of the kitchen, it came with a salad instead of fries. The hostess who took our order vanished right after taking our money, leaving someone else to deal with the chaos. For six mediocre burgers and four Cokes, we were robbed of $191. The service was clueless, the wait unacceptable, and the prices laughable. This place is a rip-off wrapped in incompetence. And to whoever responds with the usual "please fill out a form" nonsense -- don't bother. Here's your form: fix your restaurant.

I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. Good-enough airport burger place with decent burgers and friendly staff. QR-code ordering, even for drinks at the bar, makes things awkward but it's increasingly standard at airports. Burger was good, fries would have been good if they were warmer. Even the burger was somehow not that hot which is very odd given it's clearly cooked to order at the grill in the middle. Staff were available, friendly and helpful. Prices were of course high. Bar chairs were comfortable and not welded to the floor. Biggest rub: I think free refills on iced tea are a God-given right in Texas and they don't seem to have them.

I can see why it's 2*. No management here. The people cooking are frustrated and arguing with the staff, right in front of the customers. It's very slow there as well.

Dry bun that just disintegrated when I picked it up. Fries were cold. $30 burger fries and a drink? Pure garbage.

Amanda was a great server, bar tender, doing everything person in this airport burger/bar joint. The scan menu order system is stupid & paying is slow. Any efficiency person would tell owners it takes too long and paperless also doesn't work for business travelers on expense accounts. Which leaves the server to do it for customers. The food was good & Amanda was jamming that's why I gave the 5 stars.

NOT RECOMMENDED. cook was very busy. Too busy. Place poorly run. Burger ordered medium. Came out quite rare. Order slightly messed up too. They took temp of chicken by putting it on the nasty part of stove front and putting probe in. Can't find a clean place?? For a $25 burger you can cook the darned thing.

My family and I had eaten here twice. The restaurant was okay considering it is in an airport. Unfortunately the third time our experience was not good. The restaurant was dirty. There was left over food on the majority of the tables and none of the staff made any effort to clean. When we approached them about cleaning we were met with rude attitudes. We left and won't be coming back.

I was surprised to find a good burger in the airport. Mine was delicious, and staff was very friendly.

Not sure the reason for the typically low rating. My only assumption is that Audrey was not working that day. This girl hustles. On a night of many delays, she was bartender and server for a full bar and restaurant, and seriously made it look pretty easy. Even though it was crazy, she still found ways to joke and interact with the patrons, easing the stress of delayed flights.

Livefire burger, the name alone, ignites a desire to go in and have a burger. I like looking at new places, especially when they have enticing names, and or signs at their locations. This observation assures me that there is a high propensity of having good food. So here I was. I monitored most of the burgers that many patrons were ordering. They looked fantastic. The only problem for me ......it was huge. So I needed to look for something less voluminous and I chose a side order of French fries. The fries were really good but they were a rip off. Look at my pictures, so you know how many fries I was served and that too, for $10.29. Sorry to say this, I liked the place and the service was great. But this french fry order really killed the experience.

I came in at 10am. Found a uncrowded place to sit and get some work done. Great music and vibe. Amanda my server was amazing and attentive. She was able to help me order with a food allergy and talked to the chef for me. The chef did a great job of accommodating for me. Fries food all in same fryer. But does have gluten free wings and fries.

stopped in on our way back from Mexico. Tara at the grill crushed it was amazing food and great conversation. burgers were juicy and more than filling. The drinks were on point and we had the sweetest server! everything there was laid back and made us fill at home. Next time I get back you can find me there.

Horrible service! Before sitting down I asked how long my order will take and was told 15-20 min. I rushed to put my order in. 20 minutes later, I see a man walking by and wave him down and tell him I need my order to go. He proceeds to tell me that I'm fourth - I tell him that I was told it would take up to 20 minutes and we are at 28 minutes now. He then said my food is "next one up" and will be ready in three minutes. Was it ready in three minutes? Negative. I went up after 6 minutes and they haven't even started preparing! I have to cancel my order and take my evening flight without any food in my stomach. This is just not okay.

The food and service was average. But I am giving them one star because they charged our credit card twice. We called them three times and each time they told us they wil investigate & will call us once resolved. It has been over a month and they have still not called us. Shame on management!!

The restaurant really doesn't work well. I ordered using the QR code at the table. I ordered a Diet Coke and hamburger. 32 minutes later and no drink has arrived. No one came by the table to check on drinks or the order. I had to leave the table and ask the waitress to at least serve the drink. Please go somewhere else as there appears to be no active management oversight.

Service was good and the burger was actually good (classic, medium rare). The french fries were just 'ok'. It's a nice place to sit and eat/relax between flights.

Extremely slow service, even though the place was practically empty. Would have been faster to wait on the very long line at Starbucks (or anywhere else). Pancakes and bacon undercooked. Avoid this place.

Super slow - at airport I would expect a burger restaurant with one order in front of me to deliver 2 sandwiches faster than 40 mins wait. Accuracy of order - ordered 4 orange juices, got 2. Has to mention couple times and show receipt that 4 were ordered. Attitude of servers - feel sorry for tipping ahead of time. This place is worth $0 tip.

Terrible service. It's a seat yourself wherever it's open type place. I wasn't even greeted. The waiter approached me with a snarky attitude and said I couldn't sit where I was because the section was closed. The area he was referring to wasn't roped off nor was there any signage that said it was closed. I got up to sit somewhere else, but all of the other seating was dirty. And with his snarky attitude he said "if it's dirty, sit somewhere else". At that point I realized this place was not worth spending my time or money.

Tables were dirty and the food took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive and it wasn't busy. There were 4 of us and we received 1 meal every 20 minutes!

The food here was pretty good, and the service was fantastic, except for the kitchen. It seems a little on unorganized. My husband got his burger almost 15 minutes before I got mine. The server was told the reason for it was because mine had mushrooms on it and they cook them separately, but that just doesn't make sense to me. Besides that the ladies that were running around serving food and drinks were fantastic.

Food was ok. No service. Must order through an app /qr code that does not work well. Overpriced taking advantage of the captive audience. No one should support these "app only" restaurants. The QR code expects an 18% tip. Laughable

Should have checked reviews, but was in a hurry, worst food ever avoid at all costs. I ordered Cobb salad, was pathetic and over priced. Server was nice cooks were assholes

It seems like a nice little burger joint. As soon as you enter instead of being greeted by smiling faces you are met with giant i pads on every table. I don't want to look at a screen, I want human connection. Then you open the menu and see that burgers range from 20-30$! No special beef, just a regular burger. Sat down

Ordered through the QR / App and was not logged in the system, did not get my food after others in my table got food, and ultimately needed to get to my connection, (had beer+burger), but was charged for it (~$40 total!), even when I was told they removed the burger charge. I lost $23 just showing up there. Travel through Houston all the time, but never again going to Livefire.
