The 36 Essential Indianapolis Restaurants

"Off the trail of Mass Avenue, this two-story restaurant with a Latin-influenced menu is a must. When the weather is nice, grab a seat on the rooftop, and start off with a margarita and some empanadas, which arrive stuffed with a range of seasonal fillings like corn, steak, chorizo, queso, chicken, and lamb. Then move on to entrees like the paella, a flavor-loaded combo of chorizo rice topped with scallops, shrimp, pickled onion, and house-made sauces. Or go for the red drum paired with sweet plantains and yucca fries in chorizo chutney and chimichurri. No matter how full you feel, don’t stop there. Dessert includes churros, flan, and ice cream. With entrees under $20, Livery provides the best value in town for a nice dinner." - Mike Gillis

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional dining experience — the Skirt Steak is a must! Had an amazing dinner at Livery on N College Ave, and it easily deserves five stars. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and vibrant — perfect for a night out with friends or a date. I ordered the Skirt Steak, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Cooked perfectly medium-rare, tender and full of bold Latin-inspired flavors. The seasoning was spot-on, and the sides complemented the dish beautifully. Every bite was rich and satisfying without being too heavy. Service was top-notch — our server was attentive, friendly, and gave great recommendations. The drink selection was also impressive, with unique cocktails that paired well with the food. If you're in Indianapolis and want a place with both style and substance, Livery is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes, but that skirt steak will be hard to beat!

Absolutely loved this place. We tried all the vegetarian options on the menu and each bite was amazing and tasted rich till the last bite, staff was absolutely fantastic and took great care of our dietary choices and everyone knew what the menu was and knew each dish well, thats the true sign of a well functioning restaurant. When everyone knows the menu inside and out. The place was packed, good we went there with a reservation, although they allow walk ins but would strongly recommend reserving your spot before. Thoroughly enjoyed each dish and we ended up spending a lot, but worth the price. Last time i went with my colleagues and had skirt steak, just melts in your mouth. Amazing plating skills, with equally excellent quality and tasty food.

My first and last visit to the downtown location. I was very excited to check this place out since I'm a regular customer at their Noblesville location. I drove 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the service from our server, Shawn, was terrible. He literally left me talking three times. His attitude was horrible, unprofessional the entire time. I tried to be empathetic and understand that maybe he was just too busy. I thought I was the only one seeing it that way until my brother told me, "The server's service is terrible. He's being very rude. It seems like he doesn't want to serve us. We should leave." This is uncomfortable because I'm a loyal customer of the Cunningham Restaurant Group, and they're generally known for providing good service. Unfortunately, neither Shawn or the manager of this location live up to what the brand represents. I hope this review helps you train your staff better. This probably doesn't matter to you since you're a restaurant that's busy all the time. Losing a customer might not mean much, but downtown has dozens of restaurants where we can spend money. We can literally go to any restaurant we want. So if we choose Livery, we at least expect decent service, because there are plenty of good options. Respect the customers who decide to spend money with you.

Google
Livery is one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Indianapolis. The vibrant atmosphere, attentive service of Jenna, and bold, authentic flavors make it a must-visit for anyone craving Latin American cuisine with flair. The standout stars of the meal were the sweet plantains and the empanadas—absolutely delicious! The plantains were perfectly caramelized, with that irresistible balance of sweet and savory. As for the empanadas, each bite was packed with flavor. I tried a variety, and every one was a hit: • Corn – lightly sweet and creamy • Queso – rich and melty comfort food perfection • Chorizo – bold and smoky with the right kick • Lamb – tender, juicy, and full of deep, savory flavor Each empanada was crafted with care and served piping hot with just the right amount of seasoning and texture. From start to finish, Livery nailed it. The atmosphere is energetic yet relaxed, making it perfect for a night out or a special dinner with friends. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu—but I’ll definitely be ordering the sweet plantains and empanadas again!

Google
I've dined at Livery twice now and on each occasion I found the food to be fairly tasty, the ambiance to be nice and the service to be mostly adequate. I think I would stop in again in the future for a quick bite, but when I think about places that excite me, this isn't making my list. My favorite of the five dishes I tried was the cauliflower, which really is delicious. Mocktails are pretty yummy and the churros are a really solid choice for dessert. Valet parking was excellent.

Google
I went during Devour, so it was a fun experience. The steak empanadas were so good that I would definitely order them again. The plantains were delicious as well. The churros were very good, and the flan was just okay. The Paella was good, but a bit more spicy than I like, so I wasn't able to eat much of it.

While staying downtown, near the convention center we ventured out here by Uber because we wanted a more local experience. The reviews for this place are high and rightly so, the entire experience was great! Our server, Joshua W was excellent and very engaging. His help and guidance with the menu was also spot-on and welcomed! They do a nice job with pan-Latin dishes here and if you ask for their habanero sauce, be in for a fire-breathing great time! Everything we tried was excellent and made with fresh ingredients. Their “paella” is more of a deconstructed very of the actual dish with scoops of rice, then seafood served on top and the flavor was really nice. Loved their street corn too, which they serve on or off the cob. Save room for dessert, they have an unbelievable blueberry tres leche! The venue itself was great and they offer much in the way of spirits. If you get their margarita, you can ask for salt, sugar, or Tajin on the rim. Definitely would return and would highly recommend making reservations and joining them for dinner!

Google
Pros: the red drum, paella, and churros were delicious. Food and wine were excellent and worth the wait. Cons: the service received by the waitress Jade or Jada wasn’t super friendly or what you would expect for a restaurant of this caliber. The wine glasses were also extremely dirty with crust and things on the glass. When you’re paying $35 for two glasses of wine you’d want the glasses to be clean Thankfully we did really enjoy the food, that was the highlight. I will say, the valet attendants were very attentive and kind

Yelp
AMAZING food and experience tonight at Livery downtown! I didn't get our server's name but she was super kind, attentive and even took the initiative to serve the salad my friend and I got on split plates. The empanadas never disappoint and they have a new spinach flavor that is delicious. We also got the cauliflower and churros for dessert. Other dessert options they had were peanut butter tres leches cake and a peppermint flan.

Yelp
Arrived right when opened on a Saturday evening. First one's to be seated. Nice, quiet ambiance with dim lighting and large windows for natural light. The one thing I didn't like was that you could see into the kitchen right upon entering the restaurant. It was located behind the hostess stand. The menu is a modern latin vibe. They offer the most amazing chicharrons as an appetizer. Theirs's is made with pasta, instead of pork, so they are vegetarian. They also have them for purchase, to go at $5 for a bag. We started with the cauliflower appetizer. I was worried that it wouldn't be enough for two people, but it was. It was so delicious, and I don't even like cauliflower! Then, we both ordered the chicken empanada. They were seasoned just right, crispy on the outside, so good. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We will be back for the food is the quick summary. Everyone was very happy with the taste of the dishes they had. We also had the guac app which was some of the freshest we've had. House made chips. Very good. The yuca fries tasted great as well but soggy fries may not be everyone's thing. The lamb never leaves the menu per our server and it was ultra tender. The serving pan, while innovative got I the way with the handle. The spice level on the pork belly was spot on if you like it on the hotter side. Not stupid hot but get your attention hot. Loved the bar but youn trek through the whole restaurant to get to it. Nice wines from Spain and South America. Decent prices. Serving size seemed generous but might have only been 5 oz. Parking is tough. They have valet for $10. If you want less cost park on mass ave and it's short walk around the corner. We went on a Thursday and needed reservations. The place had a mixed crowd and it was quite noisy. Hard to have a quiet moment if it was just two people. Will go back and can fully recommend.

Yelp
The restaurant is very comfortable and the outdoor seating is fantastic, though we did not sit outside. Our waitress was fantastic. She helped us understand everything on the menu. She was patient and seemed excited to be sharing our dining experience. The Chicharrones, brought to the table as a no-charge snack, were delicious! I could have made a meal out of them! LOL We ordered the cauliflower appetizer. Our friend who'd been here before asked about the heat of the dish. Here again, our waitress excelled. We had the sauce in a cup to ensure the dish wasn't overly hot. What the dish was, was overly delicious! We ordered both shrimp and chicken tacos as well as corn empanadas. Everything was very tasty. The only negative, and this was on us, was we were in a hurry to get to a show. We didn't have the opportunity to really relax and enjoy. If I lived in Indianapolis, I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
We were sat on the heated patio which was cold at first but definitely felt more heat towards the end. If you are a person who is cold easily I'd recommend asking to sit inside on a colder night. Also, on the patio it seems to carry voices pretty easily so if you are looking for a quieter place the patio is not it. To start my group ordered the guacamole, cheese empanadas and chicken empanadas. Next time I think we'd order guacamole or the empanadas, ordering both for 4 people was very filling. The cheese empanadas were very delicious and described well within the menu, the guacamole starter was definitely the star here though. I am also a guacamole enthusiast so loved the homemade nachos and feel of the starter. After filling up on the starters I decided to order the crispy machengo salad as to not have something to heavy. It was a perfect pairing for all the starters we had. I did order the non-alcoholic margarita as I wanted the taste of one but can't drink currently. TBH I was hoping for it to be a little more sweet than sour and this was definitely more sour and not as limey as I'd like. Still good but not what I was expecting. The others at my table ordered paella, and tacos. Everyone seemed pleased with their orders. For the paella they can put most of the spicy stuff on the side except for the chorizo rice which does have a little kick to it but not overpowering.

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night and as always, great experience! Typically we'd make reservations on a Friday night, but somehow when we got there around 8pm we got a patio table after about 5 minutes! I usually order the Skirt Steak, but last night I tried out the street corn and Enchiladas. Great choices! Both dishes packed with flavor. The street corn is seasonal and goes away in 2 weeks so I was happy I was able to indulge before it left the menu. Would give both dishes a strong 8/10 Livery does not have Prosecco unfortunately, so I settled with the sparkling rosé. It was just ok! Our server Sean was nice and attentive -- all around a great night! The atmosphere is consistently upbeat and full of energy Livery has done it again!

Yelp
Came here with a friend to try the Devour menu and we were definitely not disappointed. Drinks aside (which were also delicious!), the food was too good. When I first walked in I couldn't help but feel the cozy and warm ambiance of the place. I also learned they have a rooftop so will definitely have to come back to experience that! We were quickly seated to our seats and our waiter was extremely attentive as she explained the Devour menu to us. I opted to start with the steak empanadas as my appetizer. The empanadas were cooked to perfection and the sauce that came with it gave it a nice spicy kick! For my main course, I chose the paella with shrimp and serrano sauce. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, the paella had the right amount of crisp, and the sauce added that extra something to the whole dish! Finally, the best part - dessert. I ordered the churros and they were perfect. Warm and crispy and loved the caramel sauce that came with it. Overall, wonderful experience and I will be back to try more items off of the menu!

Yelp
Been here multiple times and always had a great time. The food is amazing! Service is great and the restaurant itself is very stylish and well designed.

Yelp
Livery tends to be a favorite amongst many Indy locals, and for good reason! I came here for Devour Summerfest and I am sure glad I did! Three courses for $25? Easily one of the best Devour deals! I digress... Livery has an industrial farmhouse ambiance with a lot of metal and woodworking decor. The upstairs bar has really comfy chairs and super friendly bartenders. Devour fests tend to slow down service, but the speed of receiving our courses at our table of 5 was pretty reasonable once we seemingly made it up to the front of the queue for the kitchen. Our server was always very attentive to making sure that we had drinks and chicarones at our table in the meantime. I ordered... Chile lime mango-nada ($8): mocktail time! This drink is mango and lime juice with soda water, with a salt and Tajin lined rim. Wow, what a drink! Lightly sweet and very refreshing. Devour deal (appetizer, entree, dessert: $25) Queso empanadas: they make sure to fill these to all edges with cheese to make for a hearty appetizer. I think even the dough has cheese in it too, making sure to satisfy those cheese cravings. Chicken enchiladas: these were almost too pretty to eat, adorned with colorful sauces and roasted corn. They most definitely give you a satisfying amount of chicken in them, which is lightly spicy and tangy. Churros: I'm typically not a churro fan, but these hit the spot! Nicely crunchy and served with dulce de leche to take the experience over the top. My recommendation is to come to Livery on a nice weather day, where you can sit on the rooftop patio or the ground floor "patio" with the windows opened. Can't wait to come again!

Yelp
Girls Night! The Livery Margarita was strong but so good! Went for Devour and I can't wait to come back. We ordered the Queso and Steak Empanadas (2 different things) for our first course. I ordered the Skirt Steak for my second course while my friend ordered the Pickled Pepper Quesadilla. My steak was cooked perfectly and it came with broccolini and a manchego-polenta. Nothing was left on my plate. I'm not really a Churro person but that's what I ordered for my dessert. Wasn't bad but still not my thing. I also tried the Yuca Fries and they were really good too. I can't wait to come back and try the Green Chile Lamb. Service was amazing and the vibe was really cool.

Yelp
Alright y'all. RUN FOR THE EMPANADAS. Specifically the chorizo ones. We also loved the Lamb but all agreed the chorizo was hands down the winner. The steak was alright. If we were back in town we would just get lamb and chorizo. We also go the plantains appetizer and the garnishes and sauce all added a lot to the flavor. We loved it so much and would recommend getting that as a starter for sure. We all got different drinks too and everyone enjoyed each of them. The place is a little dark and there was a 15 people long line to the 2 toilets all night which was weird. Clearly they need more restrooms but otherwise good and drinks were spot on!

Yelp
Livery has consistently been in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Indy for several years, so it's time to share some love! It's our favorite place to enjoy Devour Downtown. They keep a pretty consistent Devour menu of popular items and it's affordable in comparison with other participating restaurants. We love the paella (it's the first dish that actually made me enjoy shrimp!) and their margaritas are perfect to me. They're fresh and well balanced. I love the carriage house margarita, but the classic is great too. I've had delicious food all around, but one thing is for sure - CRG knows how to do salads! The manchego crisp salad is delightful - an exciting blend of flavors and textures. It's the place for a perfect date night, gathering with friends or family, or celebration of any occasion. I love the sun room and covered rooftop seating where a gentle breeze can make you feel like you're on vacation. We've always had good service that made for a comfortable experience. The only bummer is that I often want to go for lunch, but they don't open until 4 pm.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Livery. I go more often than not. It is my favorite Cunningham restaurant. The food is always amazing. The service is typically great. There's always a full house, but we get well taken care of. It's always juuuust bright enough for us to see the menu, but not too bright to take away from the ambiance of the restaurant. This was my husband's second time going and when I say he ate all of his food, he finished every last drop. He's not one to try new things, burgers and chicken tenders are his usual choices; but when I suggested the paella with skirt steak, he truly enjoyed it. I was a little upset my steak was under cooked, but nothing a little heated up leftover couldn't fix. The Carriage house was to perfection, per usual..and the ceviche...it is truly my favorite thing every time ! I'll never get enough of Livery. Hopefully I can get back before the holiday season kicks in!

Yelp
A lively spot with a tapas style menu. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, a separate full bar area, and several different seating areas. We were in what I will call the "sun room, " which gave us good people watching, but was extremely loud. Our server did a great job breaking down the menu and encouraged us to try several small plates. We did just that and enjoyed everything, (except a salad which was late to the food party and disappointing.) We were too full for dessert but it took willpower to pass on churros with caramel dipping sauce. This seems to be a very popular spot and I can see why.

Yelp
We met friends at the livery. First we attempted to find a parking place, but none were to be found. It took about 15 minutes to get back to the restaurant where we decided to valet the car. I would recommend planning to use the valet if you eat here. There was only one person working the valet, so we waited another 15 minutes for that. Arriving now late for our reservation, but were seated right away. Our friends selected this location because they offer gluten free options. There are 2 gluten free options. One is the spiciest selection on their menu and the other was a vegetarian potato dish. The waitress warned me about the spice level of the one dish, so I ordered the potato dish. It was an extremely small portion and I went home hungry. I also became sick like I get after eating gluten the next day. The positives are that the restaurant has a nice vibe and the margaritas are delicious! I would not recommend this restaurant for gluten free individuals, but everyone else enjoyed their food.

Yelp
Livery is located one street over from Mass Ave. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon without reservations and were able to be seated immediately. We chose to sit upstairs and outside since it was a beautiful day. They give you complimentary chicharonnes that are so tasty. I couldn't stop eating them! For my entree, I chose the red drum fish, but unfortunately it didn't have much flavor and was not warm/hot. The fish was also dry. I've had other items at Livery that I've loved, so I will return. I just won't get the fish again.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Indiana. I can only speak for the Indy location as I've only been to the Noblesville location once! Livery offers valet parking right next door, if it's full parking can be tricky. Their cocktails are to die for with a wide variety of flavors. Their ingredients for their menu and cocktails are always fresh & typically farm to table. Their seasonal stuff is a must try before it's out of season, like their corn empanadas. The rotating menu always has unique entrees to choose from with flavors that will knock your socks off. Food is always presented beautifully. The wait staff is always happy to be around! The bar is gorgeous, the outdoor patio offers pretty sunsets, and the dining rooms offer dark and cozy vibes. I recommend this place to everyone looking to try something new in Indianapolis.

Yelp
Definitely the best meal I've had in ages! We were looking for a nice meal and seeing that there was a nearby Latin restaurant made me very happy. The building is upscale and loved that we were seated upstairs in the open air area. The wait staff was not great... I think they forgot about us a couple of times. But the excellent food made up for it. Primo: Sweet Plantains with black bean puree and dip. Also Ceviche with shrimp, orange tomatoes, guacamole. Empanadas: Corn and Steak 3 each... Overall very delicious and I am excited about bringing others in my family soon!

Yelp
Cute restaurant for date night but I'm not sure why it's so popular. I wasn't impressed by the food nor our server, Kate. I'm very surprised by the reviews, the food is " pretty good", at best.

Yelp
Decided to go here a few weeks back and I wasn't disappointed at all! I didn't realize it was DevourIndy time, but I am glad it was as I was able to get a good taste of the menu! Also, for being a Devour menu, they did NOT skimp out on anything, the flavor was bursting and the entire meal was very filling. We started with the Steak and Queso Empenadas -- YUM! Then we got the Lamb Quesadilla and the Skirt Steak. The quesadilla was good, however, it was quite juicy, so after I had finished eating the first slice, the rest was soggy. The skirt steak was AMAZING and the manchego-polenta fry was PERFECTION! We also got each dessert, and the churros were good, but I am not a huge fan of caramel and it was very caramel-heavy. However, the Flan was super good! The service was quick and attentive, and they really all seemed to work together to provide a great experience for the guest - KUDOS! It's also pretty nice inside, they have good "dinner" lighting and plenty of space, from the dining room to the enclosed patio with heaters to the upstairs bar! Be sure to check this place out and get a reservation before!

Yelp
Was in Indianapolis for meetings with a group of co-workers and one of them recommended the Livery for a group dinner. There were seven of us, and we needed something that included vegetarian options, made a bunch of folks happy, and hopefully had outdoor seating. Livery met our criteria and is situated near downtown in the 'Mass Ave.' district, which is a collection of nicer dining options and more. It's no surprise that I might have been the most 'basic' eater of the group, especially if you've read prior reviews. I don't need 'fancy' or 'pretty' food - I want good food in portion sizes that are the right for the price... anything else is icing on the cake. In short, Livery probably wouldn't have been my first choice just from looking at the menu and Yelp, but I didn't make the final choice and would rather my group be happy - and as a result I found somewhere new and ended up loving it. Folks at the table ordered a wide variety of dinners, with the empanadas being most popular. All enjoyed their food and remarked that they were very happy with food, ambiance and service. I'll comment specifically on my experience and not on their meals other than to say I asked for their 'star ratings' and they were all 4's and 5's on the Yelp scale. Service was good, our server was prompt and both drinks and food arrived quickly given how busy the restaurant was. We were fortunate to get a table on the upstairs patio and the space was beautiful. Great lighting, plenty of space between our noisy group and those around us and a good 'vibe' of dining outdoors above the street level hustle. Good drinks, good food, good people and good vibe - all worked out well. I ordered the paella and it was fantastic. The portion size was as expected - smallish and not in a giant pan as I prefer, but there was plenty. Honestly the price point was low enough that I thought it might be and even smaller portion size. One scallop, three shrimp, bed of rice and some pretty salsas around the dish. Again, I would have preferred a huge portion especially because it was AMAZING but I got exactly what I expected and was very happy. The flavor was great - spicy but not overpowering. I considered licking the plate. I might also note that I ordered the house sangria with it and that was a great drink as well. All in all, a very good experience and I will definitely return. My dish was perfect - maybe I'll just order two next time!

Yelp
Updated review: Livery remains our favorite restaurant in Indy. I'd say we've dined here 10-12 times over the past two years since discovering it. Food is always amazing and service is always fantastic. Service may occasionally be slow but always friendly and accommodating. Depending on the location of your table, it can be a pretty loud restaurant. I've also brought business associates for dinner here and they have raved about the meal. "10/10 stars" Our favorite dish is the Red Drum, which is a mild white fish with a nice texture. The best thing about the dish is the variety on the plate - you get to try a bit of everything! Yucca fries, plantain, chorizo chutney, along with pickled onions and two scrumptious sauces. Don't sleep on dessert either! Some of the best desserts we've ever had have been at Livery. I just wish the gelato/ice cream was served in a different vessel (it hard to get out of the small cup it comes in on the plate).

Yelp
I've been to Livery many times and it's always a great time. As usual, the food was delicious, service was friendly and the ambiance on the roof was just perfect for a summer night. I tried one of their mocktails for the first time and it was delicious. I'll always return and recommend.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 7pm and didn't order for about 45 minutes. Food took a really long time to come out. Our appetizers were delicious. We got the brussels, cauliflower and elote corn. they were all gluten free as well. for myself i got the manchego salad with strip steak. i honestly thought there would be actually manchego not the burnt crisps. that was a little disappointing. also didn't love the almonds i thought it was quite extra. the rest of my parties food came out cold - the enchiladas and empanadas. they were remade and piping hot just frustrating as we had already waited about an hour and a half for food in the first place

Yelp
Truly great experience. The exterior and interior are tasteful, allows the seating to feel private but also feels like a group experience. The restaurant was a horse stable in the 1800s. There's a large horse figure in one of the dining rooms on the first floor. I did not see the upstairs, I hear the patio is nice. The food, the food! Our server made a customized suggestion, the potato tart add skirt steak. The tomato crema had a nice spice and brought the entire dish together. The potato tart was unexpected and unique. We started with the plantains, and the chorizo empanadas. The queso served with the yuca fries is off the charts! Every dish paired well with each other. All seemed interchangeable and I love a comprehensive theme. My friend got the margarita with orange, and it is strong! So good value for the price. I got a red wine, Pinot noir and it was delicious but I'm on a Pinot noir kick lately. We got dessert too, churros and the graham cracker ice cream. Service was great, ambiance and food was great. If I lived in the area this would be a 1xmonth kinda place for me

Yelp
Every bite of food I ate I could not get over how amazing it tasted! They were quite busy around 9pm on a Friday night so we had to sit at the bar but it still offers full dinner service. Our waitress was amazing! She gave us great recommendations and we had friendly conversation throughout. I opted for their skirt steak and holy cow it was absolutely amazing. I also tried their ceviche! It was good as well. Seemed to be missing something for me but overall I liked it. The ambiance was super cozy. They had a cool patio looking area where their windows all opened up. I seriously need to go back asap to try their other menu items!

Yelp
Girls night at Livery is a must! Share the yucca fries and thank me later! They are huge potato like sticks served with an amazing dipping sauce! A must get! I also love the empanadas! They have several different filling options. I don't usually eat red meat but their steak/lamb empanadas are soooooo good! And the spicy margaritas have the most fantastic sweet heat!!!!! Dessert isn't complete without their churros! Make reservations because this spot is hot!

Yelp
Tried this place on our way back to Chicago. The vibe was chill and amazing. Food here is unique. The servers were very polite, warm and friendly. The ambiance was awesome. We sat at the Patio which is heated. We started with zero alcohol drinks which were delicious. Our favorite was Chile Lime Mango-Nada. For appetizers we started off with Cauliflower, Pan De Queso and Lamb Empanadas. The appetizers were tasty. Shall try this place once for sure!!

Yelp
Happy devour week! Livery is now a staple for devour! I got the cheese empanadas! So good! The cheese was gooey and just perfection! Also super good with the black bean dip on the side! The paella with the added scallop is as good as always! The scallop is SO WORTH IT! A bit spicy and always yummy! The flan is a favorite! I'd go to livery just for the flan! Service during devour is always a bit slower due to the influx of patronage. So I can't fault that. Our server was excellent though! Super friendly and funny! I loved that we were seated next to the open windows! It was a beautiful night out and being next to the windows made it even better!

Yelp
I've lived and worked downtown for years... so I'm embarrassed to say this was my first visit to Livery! I'd heard nothing but great things, so I walked in with high expectations--and was not disappointed! Loved the multiple rooms, so even when busy it had a chill vibe with quick and personal service. My drink was so yummy (the Fig-et About It), and I loved loved loved the Polenta! Perfectly cooked jumbo shrimp & cauliflower, and despite it being a large, mostly soft textured dish, I never felt it was too much of the same! I enjoyed every last dang bite. Will be back for sure!

Yelp
We tried this place out for Devour and we were pretty disappointed. This has been our most expensive meal in Indy thus far and we thought it was overpriced and very salty. The flan and churros were tasty however. The service was fine and the ambiance was nice looking with big windows indoors. However, the food being extremely salty affected our experience.

Yelp
Fantastic. Highly recommend the lamb empanadas. The patio is great. Food was pretty quick. Will be back.

Yelp
Livery was an amazing experience! We also had the Cauliflower, which I absolutely loved, and the Pan De Queso, which wasn't necessarily my favorite. The taco salad was huge, fresh, and delicious and paired perfectly with the empanadas! Can't wait to go back when it's nice so I can enjoy the patio.

Yelp
10/10 local Indy spot! If you are looking for cocktails, good food, and beautiful aesthetics look no further. Livery is one of the best places in the city. As an Indy local it's a go to spot for a date night, friends in town or even a casual work dinner. The empanadas are homemade and a must have regardless of what you are having for dinner! They have a large indoor space but have a fantastic second floor patio when the weather is great. Another reason I love Livery is that you are able to make reservations! Not everywhere in Indy offers this and I appreciate that livery does; however, don't wait until the last minute as it's a hot spot. Do yourself a favor and get the churros for dessert.

Yelp
Had reservations here for a saturday evening . we were late to our reservations , but they were still able to accommodate us quickly . we were sat at a high top near the window that was open . the location is very spacious and decorated with what i'd call antiques . they have outdoor and indoor seating as well . i love that they have valet parking for $10 , as the area can get pretty hectic with parking . our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu . they have a very extensive spirit menu , but not too many food items . the food was tasty and reasonably priced as well

Yelp
I can finally check this place off my list! We went at 5 on a Saturday and were able to be seated right away. Our server was very attentive. I loved the tajin chicharrones that they brought out as an appetizer - they were airy and crispy. We ordered the corn empanadas, which were delicious. I'd love to try more of those flavors in the future. The taco salad that I ordered as my dinner was just beautiful. It was delicious and huge! I just wish I had some more chips with it so I could eat it all like nachos haha. Everything on their menu looked great as well!

Yelp
This is one of our favorite spots for a date night. We have yet to have anything here that we haven't liked! We most recently came for Devour and sat on the patio. We loved the option to sit outside and the service and food and service was great, as always!

Yelp
THIS is the frequent, our go to spot if you will. The Livery ALWAYS deLIVERYed ... but had to remove a star because of this last experience. Came for Devour and we both got the chicken enchiladas. Pictured are the typically full portion from another experience and the Devour portions which came with queso sauce and they burned what was left of hers! Service wasn't too great either but they were busy and we were understanding. Been here plenty of times and this was the first mess up. The empanadas and chicharrones NEVER disappoint Our flan and churros were good too. In the words of Hannah Montana, "Nobody's Perfect"

Yelp
I was treated to dinner by my son and his girlfriend for my Birthday and Livery did NOT disappoint!! We made a reservation and unfortunately it was a week later than we realized BUT the restaurant was extremely accommodating and were able to fit us in....I still recommend a reservation as it gets busy!! Make sure to try the Carriage Margarita - one of the best I've had in a long time - so good (I had two)! They bring out wheel- shaped chicharrones to snack on before your food arrives. The food was amazing - I highly recommend the empanadas (steak and corn both just delicious). I had the skirt steak entree and it too was very good. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable on the ingredients that I wasn't sure of which was very helpful. They have plenty of seating - we sat outdoors and it was perfect and spaced out well. I got a wonderful Churro dessert for my Birthday - complete with a Happy Birthday message written on my plate and a candle - my wish COULD have been to go back :) Have a great day!!

Yelp
Livery in Indianapolis is a five-star gem! Let me tell you, the culinary experience is outstanding. From the mouthwatering corn empanadas to the perfectly cooked skirt steak and flavorful pork belly tacos, every bite is a delight. The canelones with chicken are a hidden treasure that you shouldn't pass up. What truly elevates the experience is the amazing team of servers. They're not just friendly and welcoming but incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, accommodating food allergies with care. I've noticed how quick they are to deliver food that's not just delicious but wonderfully warm. The drink selection is equally impressive. The margaritas are a crowd-pleaser, and the seasonal drinks crafted by the talented bartenders add a dash of creativity to the mix. What sets Livery apart is not just the food and drinks but the thoughtful change in the menu with the seasons. It keeps the dining experience fresh and exciting. Plus, the welcoming atmosphere, combined with the exceptional service, makes every visit memorable. In summary, Livery is more than just a restaurant - it's an experience. Delicious food, superb drinks, and a seasonal twist that keeps you eager for your next visit. Easily a must-try in Indianapolis!

Yelp
Livery was the first restaurant that I went to when I moved to Indianapolis and has remained a favorite. I love the Latin American fusion concept in the form of skirt steak (pictured) and of course their well-priced empanadas (which come in 3s with the steak being my personal favorite). They even are able to make a caipirinha which is a Brazilian-type cocktail that is hard to find elsewhere. The ambiance is perfect for everything from a birthday dinner (pic of the birthday churros!) to a business meeting to an after work meet up. Parking can be tricky but if able, just park on Mass Ave and walk (they do have a valet). Reservations are also a must on weekends and most evenings.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant. I've been here several times and I'm constantly amazed by the quality of the food. Their menu changes seasonally so always ask your server what's new just in case. I love the Skirt Steak and it's always consistent and so good with jalapeño butter. The street corn in the fall and the Watermelon Aqua Chile in the summer are excellent.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Indy. Plenty of seating options including outside. The premeal snacks are addictive and the flavors of the food are abundant but not overpowering. And let's talk churros. The Carmel sauce is bowl licking good.

Yelp
Super cute place to grab drinks and dinner! I enjoyed sitting at the bar. The service was quick and friendly. It can get very busy with limited parking as well.

Yelp
Livery is always an amazing experience. When we arrived, we had a bit of a wait so we headed to the upstairs bar. Very nice bar area to relax and have a drink! Their modela negra are only $6 which my partner loves. I am quite a fan of the carriage house margarita. Very fresh and delicious. The food is always spot on! The tacos are amazing. The shrimp tacos were my favorite. Shrimp was well seasoned and delicious. You MUST get the churros for dessert. The dulce de leche is scrumptious and the churros melt in your mouth. Overall livery has kind and knowledgeable staff, a fun/moody interior, and great food. Definitely the perfect date night spot!

Yelp
Just come to the DMV!!! Bethesda, MD or Old Town Alexandria would be great locations! Everything on the menu is fantastic! The Carriage Margarita is 10-10-10! Chuck was the best!

Yelp
Livery never disappoints! Celebrated my birthday here tonight and everything was perfect as expected. Tried a few things I haven't had before and they were all pretty tasty. The pan de queso is different from your normal Brazilian cheese bread. Instead of the soft, gooey balls of cheesy goodness they have a version that is flat with the bread at the bottom and cheese/toppings on top. Still very tasty but definitely not what I expected. Also tried the sweet plantains which were nice. I loved the black bean purée and pickled onions. I tried the chorizo empenadas for the first time. Although they were pretty good, I still prefer the steak and cheese better. For my main, I got my tried and true paella. Definitely spicy so if you can't handle the heat, I wouldn't recommend. If you do like spicy food, this dish is delicious! I truly came back for the bananas foster tres leches, which they gave me as my birthday dessert. I had it a couple weeks ago and wanted to come back before the inevitably remove it from the menu haha.

Yelp
This is such an amazing restaurant. The ambiance is very nice and fancy. The food is excellent and very consistent. Every time I go I get the cheese empanadas as a starter and they NEVER disappoint. The steak and paella are delicious. The shrimp is huge, the scallops are tender and sweet. It is a great balance with the spiciness of the paella sauce. You cannot go wrong on any of their desserts. They are melt-in-your-mouth good! The wait staff is excellent. Management is around, so if you need them, they are around and you don't have to wait long. You won't need them though, the service is excellent. So, is it worth the money? Absolutely!!
