Llisa Negra

"A fashionable restaurant bearing the hallmark of Quique Dacosta. The focus here is on high-quality produce with no artificial flavourings on a menu that features rice dishes and stews. Grilled dishes are a speciality." - Michelin Inspector

I had the tasting menu, and although the food and service were good in general, this was the most disappointing meal I've had in Valencia, given how expensive it was. Several dishes shared the same issue: they featured a high-quality core ingredient, such as scallops or shellfish, but were paired with a sauce that overpowered rather than complemented or highlighted their natural flavor, ultimately defeating the purpose of using a specific, premium ingredient in the first place. And the most disappointing dish was main one: the eel rice. it was so salty, that I can't believe a chef tasted it before letting it out of the kitchen. I expected better given the price point, and the famous chef name attached to the restaurant

This is a place to go for a nice dinner in Valencia! Outstanding service and delicious food doesn't come cheap, but it works every penny! Congrats to the owners for such business 👏🙌

Great service, exquisite and exotic combinations and fresh seafood. However, we did expect the codfish to be better, it did not taste anything special. The one dish we did really like was the crab salad.

The culinary experience at this restaurant was very disappointing . Tuna tartare was super fishy and have had much better Paellas in Valencia. The seafood paella was very poor and the fish in paella was dry and chewy The waiters need definitely more training.and had little knowledge of the menu. Service was at best mediocre.

The service was excellent, and the staff were very professional. The food was very disappointing; the Red Shrimp Paella with its four tiny red shrimp was oily, and the famous red shrimp for its intense flavour was not so much, the starters Octopus and Eggplant were ok.

Feb 2023 Quite a dinner. All perfect on taste. Delicate with good combinations to keep the main ingredient in mind. Even the butter and bread stands out. A very good price quality ratio also for the wine and drinks. A good pace of the menu throughout and an excellent service. Only minus to mention, it was a lot .. no remarks outside that...

Llisa negra is an upper scale restaurant with a quiet atmosphere and high level of service which is what you pay for together with high quality food. Llisa negra is ideal for couples. We had beef tenderloin and mashed potatoes which I recommend with bearnaise sauce. However, being a seafood restaurant it is recommended to order starters and main course from the seafood menu which is served in an incredibly decorative manner. If you have any allergies, this will be taken into consideration upon preparing your food.

Cozy and elegant location in the town centre of Valencia. Here one can find either traditional spanish food and modern reinterpretations. The menu offers a wide choice of dishes and there are also fresh changing options. The quality is exceptionally high and the staff is nice and welcoming. We went for a traditional fire cooked paella and two starters (wisely suggested by the waiter) They offer a welcome dish. Price is fair. Definitely worth a stop!

Yelp
Productos de temporada. The produce of the season combined with Quique Dacostas technical style. 3 Michelin star technique behind the best products of the Valencia/Dénia/Costa Blanca area = fantastic. Extremely, lights out fantastic seafood we had carefully grilled in Josper, Binchotan and live Valencia Orange Wood fires. Holy F. If i only loved close to here Id definitely be here twice a month with the seasonal menu and ingredients changes. Llisa Negra by the way is the Valèncian name of the first fish the chef's child caught. Can't wait to return. Estic Preparat!

Yelp
This restaurant is simply overpriced, poorly staffed and overraTed. I never post reviews but our experience with this restaurant was so awful I felt a duty to warn. To make things worse they charge your card for items not even received. To do so, despite showing management how charges were not accurate, means to me that they are a failing and desperate restaurant with ownership that must be in trouble. Valencia has so many great dining options. Avoid this place.
