We were celebrating here our family occasion.
Price wise (for tasting menu) this restaurant on the same level as in 1 Michelin star restaurant. So we were curious about quality and experience here.
We came in the middle of the week, at 20:30 was not many people, but by 22:00 the restaurant was fully packed!
We were accommodated on a second floor- and I am really glad that we were there, because it was so quiet, and very easy to talk. There were may be 5 tables only.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Sommelier confirmed that wine we had chosen will match our desired taste requirements.
Food experience:
We got “A la carte”, not the tasting menu.
First we got compliment from the Chef- with was good. I don’t think I had ever had a rabbit “pate”.
Oysters with vinegar sauce were my favourite.
Gildas were gigantic!!! On a skewer. And very very tasty.
Beef Steak tenderloin was good, medium as I requested, the size wise it was really small. 100-150 grams.
Lamb - was a bit disappointment. It was semi raw?! Green sauce accompanied it contained cilantro, which really gave it a strange taste.
Side dishes were ok, nothing special.
Our biggest eye opening experience was good choice of wine. Now it is our favourite.
So, it isn’t quite Michelin level, but overall, it was a good experience. They were doing their best.
