The 9 Best Restaurants & Bars In Los Alamos

"Lo-Fi’s bare-bones tasting room isn’t the flashiest in town, but it’s worth a visit just to sample the most interesting, minerally wines being made in Santa Ynez Valley these days. It’s owned by two friends who live in town, and many of the grapes they use are grown in Los Alamos proper. The tiny space fills up quickly on weekends—you might have to lean against the wall until a seat opens up—but if standing around sipping chilled gamay and listening to vinyl records spinning behind the bar is the worst part of your afternoon, you’ve had a pretty good day." - brant cox

9 Best Day Trips from Los Angeles | Condé Nast Traveler

"Walking into Lo-Fi, you're greeted by the sweet sound of needle meeting vinyl, and a tasting room staff that's as down home as they come. Los Alamos locals rub elbows with young winemakers and wine-savvy Angelenos. Natural wine has become a bit of a buzz word in the industry, but Lo Fi is the real deal. Using neutral barrels, native yeasts, little to no sulfur additions, and no adjustment of pH, they embrace a nothing added, nothing taken away approach that makes for some really interesting wine reflective of the region. Don’t miss out on their Coquelicot Cab Franc or the Chenin Blanc." - Maxwell Williams, Krista Simmons

A low-key wine bar with the finest selection of the local natural wines, as well as vinyls playing all night on the turntable.

Stopped by Lofi Wines and instantly fell in love with the vibe. Super relaxed, welcoming space with vinyl spinning in the background and a beautifully curated tasting flight. Each wine had its own personality—easy-drinking, a little funky, and full of character. You can tell they care about natural wine and creating a space that doesn’t feel pretentious. Bonus points for the great music and cozy indoor setup. Definitely one of my favorite tasting stops in Los Alamos. Can’t wait to come back and sip again.

Google
What a find. This is a natural wine producer making fantastic wine. The wine bar manager at my local bottle shop recommended this place based on my preferences. This is wine without the pretence or multi-million dollar tasting room. The wine makers are typically there pouring for you. Don't miss this place.

Google
Question: do you filter/clarify your white wines? Just pulled a Chenin Blanc out of my wine fridge (52 degrees) to find this flocculation. After shaking for a few minutes it seems to have dissolved back in, but obviously gives a bit of pause before opening and detracts from the upcoming drinking experience I’m sure. Thanks.

Google
Unique local wines that embrace a natural wine making process. We had such a good time meeting the owners and learning about their passion for wine while listening to good music! Great vibe at this place and off the beaten path. We will definitely be back!!

Natural wines are at their best here. Time to stop thinking this is a trend. This is a winery you need to know about. The wine is stellar and I highly recommend the Cabernet Franc “Coquelicot vineyard” to go alongside an Italian Deli sandwich of prosciutto and burrata with some oil and vinegar, salt an pepper! A little bit of heaven. 🍷

Google
Great little wine bar with awesome wine, fun music pairings, and amazing service. We went on a wine tasting trip to Los Olivos and found this gem in Los Alamos to actually be one of our favorites!

You can have the perfect Saturday afternoon if you start off with Priedite BBQ and then head to Lo-Fi for some wonderful wine, curated music, and great company.

Random stop turned into a great experience. Awesome wine to go along with the vibe. Brought home a case and signed up for the wine club. Looking forward to stopping in again on our trip to area.

Yelp
Such a wonderful experience. Stopped by before dinner, did a tasting. Everything was wonderful, the owner was great! Really enjoyed several of the wines, and left with 3 bottles, including our favorite the syrah. Can't wait to come back and hang out for longer and listen to more records!

Yelp
This was our first tasting of the day and it didn't disappoint. Small little tasting room and one of the more cost effective tastings in los alamos. Good pours and all the wines were low alcohol. They try and make them as natural as possible and are smaller batches than bigger wineries and labels. Friendly service as well. My only critique are the stools, they were really uncomfortable so sitting there for the whole tasting was not fun. We purchased one bottle and could have maybe purchased a couple others but we opted not to. I will also mention that there was a slight push to try and buy bottles at the end. Stopping short of saying "you should buy some bottles" but a lot of "nudges" and "hints" about buying bottles. We would definitely come back to try other pours.

Yelp
We had the best experience in this tasting room! Lo-fi definitely makes some of the best wine in the natural wine game. It actually tastes like wine! I feel like the natural wine movement that has really taken off is so great because people are catching on about how dirty wine can be made - EXCEPT there is nothing worse than buying a natural bottle based on a cool label, only to open it and find the wine inside is SO FUNKY that it's hard to drink. That is never the case with Lo-fi wines. They are actually just delicious wine that is made clean. Definitely on of favorite natural wine producers. If you are in the area, the tasting room is so great and the guy we sat and chatted with was so cool and knowledgeable. 10/10 stars.

Yelp
This is a wonderful little tasting room with the coolest vibes. The wine is so unique and delicious. I'm not one for white wines and I even loved their white varietals, so that should speak volumes! The staff member during our visit was very friendly and had excellent taste in music. The pours were generous as well, more so than a usual wine tasting! It was fun to sip wine and they even let us pick a vinyl to play while we visited. We were so impressed by the wine that we even joined their wine club. I can't wait to receive the first shipment! I'm also already planning our next visit to this tasting room, which is located in an awesome one road town. Located across the street from The Alamo Motel, where we stayed for the weekend, so we just walked across the street for our tasting. It really doesn't get much better than that! I definitely suggest making a trip to this charming wine tasting room and finding out for yourself what a treasure it is.

Yelp
Great affordable natural wines with slightly lower alcohol content (in the 12% range). Small spot but good vibes and convos from the guy running it. He also gave us a great lunch recommendation 15 min outside of town which we're so glad we listened to. His adorable dog was also a pleasure to hang with.

Yelp
:( I specifically came from LA to Los Alamos to experience a tasting here for my birthday with a group of friends and after visiting a tasting room before where I made a reservation for my group that had superb customer service, I was sadly disappointed when I got here. 1 person working the establishment on a Saturday evening was not the jam. It took a while to get out tasting pours with a room full of 15 +. Although Crosby was a very nice human (and Ginger who was a sweet baby girl ) it was a very choppy and prolonged experience with the delays in our pours and lack of time to go over the product. I left felt uninspired and honestly just wanted to be done with the tastings so we could leave to our next spot.

Yelp
Amazing natural wines. I always buy them from wine shops near my home, but since we were in Los Alamos I knew we had to stop by! They weren't open for tastings when we went due to statewide protocols, but we were able to pick up a few bottles to go. I was being very indecisive about which ones to get and the man working there was very helpful in helping me narrow down which bottles to purchase. I would love to come back and do a tasting some day!

Yelp
My favorite local small producer. Their cab franc is incendiary! I've loved this winery for a long time and it just keeps getting better.

Yelp
Some of the best natural wines I have ever tried. Really friendly staff as well. If you are in Los Alamos, definitely stop by the tasting room and try their wines.

Yelp
Great service, fantastic wines, knowledgeable staff, very accessible and friendly people with a great vibe. They've got a vinyl collection and let me pick one to play (Crosby is the greatest). Absolutely love this spot. Highly recommend.
