Our recent visit to Lobito del Mar was an exceptional culinary experience that exceeded our expectations. Situated on the Golden Mile, this restaurant, led by chef Dani Garcia, offers a blend of traditional Spanish flavors with an innovative flair. From the moment we entered, the lively ambiance set the stage for what was to come. We were seated in the private dining room with a mesmerising view of the chef's kitchen, where we could observe the culinary magic unfolding. Our evening began with a delightful gazpacho, a refreshing starter that perfectly set the tone for the dinner. The tableside preparation of guacamole with baby shrimps was both entertaining and delicious. We then enjoyed the fried calamari, which was perfectly seasoned and delivered a satisfying crunch with every bite. The anchovies omelet with caramelized onions was an unexpected delight, offering a rich blend of flavors that balanced the savory and sweet notes beautifully. The main courses were the true stars of the evening. The grilled tuna belly was cooked to perfection. We also indulged in two exquisite paellas: the classic seafood paella with its generous portions of fresh seafood and the black paella with monkfish, squid, and ink, which delivered a depth of flavor that left a lasting impression. For dessert, we indulged in their homemade cheesecake, which was beautifully creamy and rich, providing a delightful contrast to the seafood dishes and serving as a refreshing palate cleanser. This was followed by a heavenly chocolate cake that had the silky consistency of a chocolate mousse, providing a perfect sweet finale to our dining experience. The service at Lobito del Mar was impeccable, with staff who were knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely eager to ensure our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Their recommendations and insights into the menu were invaluable, enhancing our appreciation of each dish. Overall, Lobito del Mar delivered an unforgettable dining experience, combining exquisite cuisine, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere.

Beautiful setting, food even better and combined with friendly attentive service. Instantly one of my favourite restaurants in the region and will be back a lot.

Fresh, tasty, high quality and variety seafood! Tried some great new dishes! Not expensive given the freshness and variety of the food! Waitress has put a €50 bottle wine onto our bill (and this was the first time I actually looked at a bill in Marbella and got quite disappointed that such thing actually happens… Otherwise would recommend.

Had a fantastic evening again in my favorite fish restaurant in Marbella. Tuna here is the best I had anywhere… fatty tuna as carpaccio or as a steak. Loved the Spanish noodles and the creamy lobster rice as well. The food excellent service and atmosphere created a beautiful night out for us!

Restaurant Review During my recent visit to LOBITO DEL MAR, I had an enjoyable experience that was elevated by the attentive service provided by our waiter. From the moment we were seated, they made sure we were comfortable, promptly took our orders, and checked in on us at just the right moments throughout the meal. What stood out most was his genuine effort to ensure a pleasant dining experience. While still honing some aspects of the craft, it’s clear he has the potential to grow into a truly magnificent waiter. Their attentiveness, positive attitude, and eagerness to provide excellent service are commendable qualities that make them a valuable part of the team. Overall, the service was more then solid, the ambiance was lovely, and the food was a highlight of the evening. I look forward to visiting again!

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The seabass was very fresh and delicious but the best part was definitely the cheesecake! Would certainly go back.

One of the best restaurant experiences I had in my visit to Marbella. Russian sale is a must! All the seafood is super fresh and the best quality! Paellas ara fantastic also! You also have the option to go to the tapas bar and have small bites seated at the bar. Don’t hesitate to visit it !

I visited this restaurant twice within a span of two weeks, and my experiences were quite different. On my first visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by our waiter. He was thoughtful and incredibly knowledgeable about the food being served, including its origin, recommended way of eating, and every single ingredient in each dish. He truly elevated our dining experience and made it superb. It was 2 of us and we enjoyed a 12 oysters, the porterhouse tuna, anchovies, tartare, a small cut tuna dish, sparkling wine, and a couple of beers. We left room for desert which was a good call. Every bite was a culinary delight and we thought it was priced. However, on my second visit, the overall experience was not as outstanding as the first time. We had high expectations for the service, hoping it would match our previous exceptional experience. Unfortunately, our waitress did not seem as invested in our dining experience. She did not take the initiative to provide recommendations or guide us through the menu. When we asked for advice, her response was, 'I wouldn't really know, I haven't tried that dish.' While this response was honest, it would have been nice to receive some guidance. In her defense, waiter #1 was hard to beat. Despite this, I do plan to return to this restaurant. The food is undeniably a spectacle for Marbella standards, and I truly hope for a more consistent service in the future!
