"New to Southampton in 2022, this indoor expansion of the local roadside staple is now a year-round attraction. Stop in for a Long Island-style seafood menu, including lobster rolls both drenched in warm butter or packed with lobster salad, creamy clam chowder, and fried clam strips, plus a full bar happily slinging dirty shirleys. Summer brings late nights on the patio, where anyone eager to dance to a Top 40 DJ comes to party. The original location is also called The Lobster Roll, but everyone calls it “Lunch,” thanks to the huge LUNCH sign you can't miss when driving on Montauk Highway." - Melissa Kravitz Hoeffner

For $22 the fish and chips was a great deal in this diner-style restaurant. It tasted fresh, moist, and not drenched in oil. They should have put hot sauce and ketchup on the table. Tartar sauce and coleslaw is a bit sweet. For $36 the hot lobster roll was kinda a disappointment, the meat portion is little and a bit dry. I should have had as much meat as in a 1.5lbs lobster. This is not even one tail. Seafood nachos $22 large plate was meh as well. Tortilla chips should be crispy hot. The middle part is soggy probably it has sat in the sauce for a while. The dish feels American vegan as I cannot taste any seafood flavor or cheese or any nachos spices. Staff is friendly. There is a bit of wait.

Google
Good is generally average and overpriced, especially for the lobster and seafood dishes. The pumpkin seafood bisque was sweet and not savory which does not work with shrimp and fish. French fries were frozen and the veggie burger was just a mash of vegetables and did not taste nice. Seafood was not as fresh as it should be for the prices. Service is like a cheap diner, but the last couple times was terrible. The waiter slaps the food down and doesn’t pay attention to which meals go to which person so we have to figure out and pass around. Doesn’t provide us silverware with the meal until we ask for it. Not worth it.

Google
They have gluten free option for lobster roll and fries! Perfect Size they didn't skimp on lobster. delicious coleslaw delicious! Service was 5 star. Knowledgeable and friendly. Kyla was my server. I'll be back.

Google
Amazing food!! Great and quick service. We decided to give this place a try on our way to the Hamptons. We started off with new England clam chowder, very creamy and delicious. We then got the hot lobster roll, Grandma's crab cakes and baked stuffed shrimp. All the three dishes are highly recommended. Very fresh seafood seasoned and cooked to perfection. The show stealer was the baked shrimp stuffed with crab smeared in a buttery sauce. We ended up ordering one more. The portion sizes are good and the decor and ambience is very holiday-like. We finished off with vanilla ice cream and their delicious chocolate cake surrounded by whipped cream. The whole experience was very enjoyable and satisfying. Will surely be back!

Google
Great place! Loved the popcorn shrimp. Lots of protein and light batter. Lobster roll and fries were great too! Not too much mayonnaise and great lobster chunks. Clam chowder was also great. 5 stars for me

Google
I got the cold Lobster Roll, the Lobster was chopped up, that's a little different than what I usually get at home in New England, it also had chopped up celery, again different than home, I personally didn't care for that addition, to be fair, it is called a "Lobster Salad Roll". Overall, it was a satisfying Roll. Cole Slaw was tasty as well. Service was very friendly and super fast Price was what I would expect ($35), Lobster is extremely expensive nowadays, I haven't has a decent Roll under $30 in a long time.

Google
We ordered a lobster roll $36 & fish & chips $18 on the menu but I was charged $39 for the lobster roll & fish & chip for $22. The waitress told me that the extra charges were taxes first then another said that they were for the fries. The fries should be the part of the orders. Please check your bills because they might add additional charges if you don’t pay attention. I don’t think this is a honest business practice. We won’t go there again.

This restaurant from the outside looks comes across as a diner but it is so much more thatn that, if any. I'm not sure why they have the LUNCH sign on the front but I really think it diminishes the value they deliver. LRS has a woody, Hampton-style interior with a bit of fisherman town feel. It is truly perfect for the location and the patrons who may visit for the first/last time. The food is focused on lobsters but there are other varieties and as long as the seafood is concerned, they are fresh and heartily made. The hot lobster roll - the meat was perfect and the butter complemented the overall lobster meat perfectly. The sea clams were briny and tasty. The sweetpotato fries were also fabulous. LRS is a local jewel of Southampton. We're happy we discovered this place and stopped by for lunch.

Yelp
Everything you'd want in a seafood diner. A charming diner with a massive seafood menu and delicious cold lobster roll and bun, packed with fresh lobster, and a comforting cup of tasty clam chowder. Kick butt coleslaw and creamy, frothy chocolate egg cream. Party/bar room with lots of outdoor seating in the back. Only drawback is the price, with the lobster roll alone at $35, but that's the Hamptons for ya. Would still try any of their locations. 5 stars!!!

Yelp
Ok, what the !@#$ ... We called to try and make reservation for party of 10 an hour ahead, but the lady on the phone said they don't take reservations and said just come as there's no wait. Got there maybe 45 mins later and there's only about 4 tables taken... told the host (a dude) we had 10 people (4 kids and 6 adults).. the host said there's a reservation of 10 for another party so can't give us the table that was already setup, fiine. NP.....so told us to take the corner round table and said, he can put at least 20 people on it if he wants .. he pointed, and we walk ourselves to the corner table, and it was small AF !!!! .. could only comfortably fit 6 or 8 at most.... Asked the host if he can pull up another table, which there was plenty of space.. host told us no cuz there's going to be a lot of people soon... there's NO ONE THERE DUDE what the !@#$^&* ... I was already HANGRY!!!!, this dude was about to get roundhouse to the face!!!! ............ ef this BS, fuT the host, he can go eat a bag of D!@$%K..... Can't rate the food cuz, I DIDN'T EVEN GET A CHANCE TO LOOK AT THE MENU !!!! ........ Still HANGRY!!!! Bye !

Yelp
The lobster roll is the quintessential seaside snack. A true classic never goes out of style. Lobster Roll, affectionately known as "Lunch" thanks to the giant neon sign above the restaurant, is a staple for lunch or dinner if you're hitting the Hamptons. Not much has changed since the roadside stop began in 1965, which means you can expect amazing seafood every time. There are lobster rolls and then there are Lunch lobster rolls. Whether you chose a traditional Cold New England Style Lobster Roll or a Butter Poached Warm Connecticut Style Lobster Roll, these are the best lobster rolls in the Hamptons. A Delicious overflowing roll of locally caught lobster could be my last meal on earth, or maybe just an ideal meal after the beach.

Yelp
This was our first time eating here and we have to say everything was delish! Best clam strips EVER!!!!. Same with Manhattan chowder and warm lobster rolls. Our waitress was very friendly! We will be back!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
We got take out so I can only really comment on the food which was great. The portions are huge and the fish and chips are delicious. The service was fast and I look forward to dining in the restaurant soon!

Tony H.

Yelp
We had a party of 10, plenty of empty tables, they would not pull tables to seat us. They said that they had reservations and sat the next big group us behind us, the hostess asked them if they had a reservation, they said no. *ahem*

Colette G.

Yelp
Looks like a diner refurbished. Cozy neighborhood feel inside. Has a bar area as well as counter to eat at. Booths and table seating. We had a booth on a rainy Saturday early evening in March, the place was empty. I'm sure when the weather gets nice again, this place packs out. Great night for soup. The lobster bisque was one of the best I have ever had. Thick with huge pieces of lobster meat. Absolutely delicious! Popcorn shrimp appetizer was yummy but nothing to brag about. Loved the yelp check in free beer or glass of wine. Yes please! Service was slow, which was surprising given all the people working there and lack of customers. I'm not out in this area often, but would definitely come back when I am. The prices are good, especially for Hamptons dining.

Joely T.

Yelp
Must go to lunch spot while in the area... big menu that is accommodating to all but it would be a miss to not get the lobster roll. Couldn't decide a favorite between hot/ cold so grab a friend and split both. The crab dip to start was PHENOMENAL as well. Service was 10/10 all wait staff was incredibly nice and our waiter was super personable, funny, and did not rush us out of there!

Yelp
Hello Yelpers!!! Another review just for you! We had lunch at the Lunch Lobster roll yesterday and must rave to you about our experience. First, our waitress Celina took amazing care of our table offering suggestions and ideas. The manager on that day was Jerilyn who also spent time talking with us and making sure that we enjoyed our lunch (which really was like a dinner). Celina and Jerilyn were so attentive and Celina really made sure that the timing of our food was right. We all ordered the lobster Mac n cheese which came with a very nice side salad. I also ordered the crock sized lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was OMG unbelievable. It was full of lobster meat (or whatever my wife didn't steal from me) and was just so buttery smooth! My mouth is watering as I write this thinking of it. (I took a quart home with me..... Thank you Jerilyn) The side salads were a perfect size and the dressing delicious too. Now..... the Lobster Mac n Cheese was out of this world! Each bite has lobster in it and the Mac n cheese was just so cheesy! I got myself a shirt when I left and will proudly be wearing it! Everything was perfect and I look forward to going back!

Avery D.

Yelp
I got the hot lobster roll for $37 ($45 after tip). It was really good. It was interesting how it was brought disassembled but maybe they wanted you to be able to eat some of the lobster without the bread if you wanted. I wish it had been a little more lobster for the price. But it was really good. The meat was sweet, but a little tough in some places. I was willing to pay the price because I was in the Hamptons vacationing, but wouldn't do it again. I wish there had been a bit more food as well. Was still hungry after a $45 meal. The restaurant is very nice and we sat outside because the weather was pretty.

Lyn L.

Yelp
Everything about this place was 5 stars! Service with a smile and some great recommendations. The place reminded me of a fishing town: wooden walls, surf boards hanging on the wall and lots of cute decor. The menu was loaded with so many options. We came for lobstah rolls. We also indulged in a few other items. First off.. get the ONION RINGS, they are amazing. The fried clams(small size) were plentiful, enough for 3 people. The lobstah roll is plated on a nice dish and the bun and sauce are on the side. Excellent way to present this deliciously fresh entree. Hubby is a land luber so no seafood for him. He did opt for the hotdog that he said was meh($9.50).

Yelp
So we drove out to Montauk during February, and we had a hard time finding a seafood restaurant that was open for lunch during the off season on the way back west. We stopped here after two other places that were closed. We originally requested mussels, but were told they were out, so we had the calamari instead. We also ordered a hot lobster roll and a cold lobster roll. The calamari was good and well seasoned. We were a bit perplexed by the deconstructed hot roll, but actually really enjoyed having the extra butter on the bottom of the little bowl. The cold roll was very good. I had a mule, and it was not good. The beer ordered was out of stock, and the server didn't do a great job describing other options or helping decide what a good substitute would be after we said we were unfamiliar with the beers offered, so a random beer was chosen and not enjoyed. We decided to try a key lime tart to go. She told us it was too small and we should get something bigger. She looked annoyed when we told her that we had seen them in the display case, and just wanted something very small to share. It was good, not really anything special though. As someone who worked as a waitress for many years, it's really disappointing when you get a server who is just unhelpful and checked out, and just seemed to be upselling, but not actually providing helpful recommendations. It was a decent meal, but not good enough for us to return in lieu of good drinks and service. UPDATE: After reading my above review, Andrea reached out (both publicly and privately) to look further into our issues, and to invite us back in. Though we live out of state, I will definitely visit again when we are back in the area, and update this review when we are able to. This did help me feel better about the establishment, as we enjoyed the food overall. Thank you, Andrea.

Yelp
Okay, so I heard that Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Clinton LOVE this place. One could argue that if it's good enough for the likes of them, then it should be really good !! :-) Well, my husband and I LOVED this place, and I must say, I'm STILL drooling over and dreaming about their LOBSTER BISQUE. OMG, it was soooooooooooo friggen' good. I mean PERFECTION !! How weird is it that I'm still thinking about a soup that I had over a month ago? It's embarrassing, but the bisque was THAT good. Seriously. The amount of HUGE lobster chunks alone would be enough, but honestly, the broth part was a perfect blending of sherry, cream, butter, broth and seasonings. Sooooooooooo good. So incredibly good. We actually ordered lobster rolls, too...... one warm, one cold, and we split them for taste testing to see which version we preferred. The cold was prepared with mayo and celery, and the warm was served in melted butter. I thought I would prefer the cold, but guess what..... I preferred the warm lobster, swimming in the melted butter. Yummmmmmm. The cold version was good, too, but I could taste (and appreciate) the sweetness of the lobster much better when served warm. Such a great restaurant. I live sooooooo far away from here, but we WILL be back someday. Rest assured. And I'll probably still be dreaming of their lobster bisque till we meet again.

Melanie T.

Yelp
Stopped by around 4-5pm with reservations. Was quickly seated outside. There were plenty of tables open, with indoor and outdoor seating. Was really looking forward to the lobster roll and clam chowder. Did not disappoint! The lobster tasted super fresh and the chowder was so flavorful!

Ekat G.

Yelp
I went there awhile ago and I posted that they must've had a bad day but I returned and it was delicious!! The lobster roll is good but a word from someone who only just started eating fish the fish and chips is so good. Clean taste nice crisp of the batter and oh the coleslaw dreamy!!! Really was worth the 1 1/2 hour drive!! Good service attentive and nice!

Michael A.

Yelp
We went to Lunch for a late lunch/afternoon snack on a recent weekend. We had heard about this restaurant for years, but wouldn't even attempt a visit during the summer and we usually don't go so far east off-season. We weren't too far away, so we figured we'd stop in. Great decision! The restaurant is in an old diner that has been renovated beautifully. The tables were more spread out than a diner would typically have, so good move Lunch. The restaurant was also immaculate. We were seated quickly by a friendly host and the waiter came by quickly to see if we wanted drinks. He also asked if we wanted a gluten-free menu. My wife has a wheat/gluten intolerance so this was fantastic. They even had sandwiches available on gluten-free bread. I had the lobster bisque and a half dozen clams on the half-shell. While the clams were a little on the small side for my taste, they were very good. I also had the lobster bisque. It was one of the best lobster bisques I've ever had. It didn't have the floury taste that many lobster bisques have, the sherry was perfect and there was more lobster in this bowl of bisque than I've ever had. Add in the attentive but not hovering service that was very friendly and Lunch Lobster Roll is a hit in my book!

Erin P.

Yelp
I came here based on a recommendation from my lobster-loving parents. I was so disappointed when the restaurant did not meet my expectations. To begin, the place has a cute, diner aesthetic but this did not match the expensive prices. If I am going to pay $35 for a sandwich, I do not want it served to me on a plastic tray and have to assemble it myself. Also, they charged an extra $3.45 for what were basically frozen Ore-Ida fries. The cole slaw on the side was also not good, mid at best. I have never seen a cole slaw that was only cabbage. No carrots, no onion, just cabbage. The lobster roll was good, nice and buttery, and the bread was good, but I would not say it was worth $35. We were sat right away and our first waitress was very nice. In the words of my friend, "you know the place is bougie when they ask if you want tap water." However, about halfway through our lobster rolls, the waitress came and said that she was clocking out and that someone else would be taking care of us. However, I do not think that her replacement was aware of that because no one came to our table after she left. After waiting about 15 minutes for the check, we decided to just get up and pay at the register. Overall, the lobster was good, but it was not worth the price or customer service.

Rachael T.

Yelp
Found this place driving out East. Got a table right away quick service. Delicious food just didn't expect it to be that pricey

Erin C.

Yelp
Out of all the dishes we ordered, I LOVED the clam chowder, the nachos and the fried shrimp poppers. High quality place, that's casual and has that diner feel but is very clean! It was the perfect lunch spot for a refuel before hitting the shops and the beach. Check-in on Yelp and get a free glass of wine!!

Jim W.

Yelp
I've seen this place on a bunch of food shows and since we did a day trip to the Hamptons, this was our lunch pick. Bigger than it seems from the out side. Got there on a Saturday around 2ish and it was pretty crowded but we got seated right away. Got a table at the outdoor patio and it was very unique. They trained a tree to create a canopy. Never seen that before. Ordered a dz clams, one classic and one hot lobster roll with a side of fries. Everything was spot in, clams were fresh and delish. Both rolls were tasty but my son's hot roll was the winner. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great experience altogether.

Kim K.

Yelp
Lunch Lobster Roll is a solid dining outing- delicious with unpretentious service. On a early Friday afternoon this diner-like space had tables available, but they filled up quickly. I like that the tables are spread out so it feels spacious and considerate, instead of a churn farm feel. The menu consists of tried and true seafood staples including the namesake lobster rolls. Call us crazy but we didn't get any lobster rolls. We enjoy the fried calamari, Paul's Famous Seafood chili, and a cheeseburger. The calamari was the perfect texture and not a greasy surf n turf mess. You can select from three different cheeses for a cheeseburger. The seafood chili came out looking like an appetizer but watch out, it's sneaky in it's fillingness. Although the menu describes it as spicy there is no heat. There were two unisex bathrooms in the back dining room with air dryers. I didn't get a water refill but service was otherwise fine. This should be on your roster of area eats.

Suzy B.

Yelp
I can completely agree with the star rating here. I'm even giving it a 5. If you're looking for some delicious lobster in the area, you've found the place. Don't let the old diner facade fool you. You've found Lobster heaven inside. And yes they have a full menu with lots of other entrees ... from seafood, fresh fish, burgers, etc. We were there for lobster. We arrived around 5pm on Sunday for dinner and had no wait. We had a very friendly server and I wish I knew her name... but it seemed like everyone working here was friendly and happy. I started off with the lobster bisque which came with some big chunks of lobster meat. It was very tasty and fresh. The hot lobster roll also didn't disappoint with even more lobster meat on a nice, fresh bun and served separately from the lobster meat. So you can make it your own way! The cole slaw was sweet and crunchy. My husband ordered the hot lobster on a salad and he really enjoyed it too. Just a perfect meal. If you're up for it, They have a Fall Prix Fixe dinner that looked delicious. Happy dining and enjoy. They have a full bar there too in case you'd like some adult beverages.

Allison F.

Yelp
Yes, everything I had hoped it would be! The restaurant was very clean, the waitress was so friendly and the food came out very quickly. It wasn't crowded and I was surprised because we were there on a Saturday afternoon and the apple/pumpkin picking was in full swing. Maybe the people had already spent their money on overpriced pumpkins and apples. I got the warm lobster roll (of course I did!). It came in a little dish of lobster juice and butter with the roll on the side. I thought this was a great idea because the roll didn't get soggy. There was a huge amount of lobster, I couldn't fit the last claw into the roll and it was delicious. I also had fries which were good. My partner in crime got a tuna steak sandwich with corn. I tried a bite, his sandwich was also delicious! The prices were crazy for lunch but that was expected so not surprising. I wanted to have a lobster roll there so I did but I don't think that I would go out of my way or rush back there but all in all it was a good experience.

Agustin C.

Yelp
Not your ordinary dinner. Very beautiful, clean, and has plenty of parking. The service was great. We didn't wait long for our food. Highly recommend fish tacos. Filled with excellent flavors and fun to eat all and all very affordable.

Nicole D.

Yelp
HIDDEN GEM! This diner not only known as the popular spot LUNCH has a fabulous exclusive party room. Beautiful, spacious, and cozy for any event. My fiancé and I had our engagement party here and it was a big hit! The food was amazing, and the service was unreal. All of our guest were wowed from the food, drinks, and ambiance. I will be coming back to book another party and very much looking forward to it. A big shout out to the staff at the lobster roll for making my day.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
We ordered a cold lobster roll and hot lobster roll for take out. The lobster was very fresh. The fries didnt have too much taste. We came during the lunch hour so it was a bit busy but our food didnt take too long to come out. Service was very nice.

Samantha H.

Yelp
Seems like a strange place to have seafood in an old diner. The clam chowder was okay. I didn't like that you put together your own lobster roll, but I did like the presentation. Lacked flavor

Dylan C.

Yelp
The lobster bisque at this restaurant was rich and flavorful, but it had a bit too much butter for my taste. The bisque had a good amount of lobster chunks and the broth was rich with a nice balance of flavors, but the butter overpowered the delicate taste of the lobster. On the other hand, the crab sandwich was decent. The bread was toasted and had a nice texture, the crabmeat was fresh and lightly dressed with mayonnaise, and the sandwich was served with crispy fries. The sandwich was satisfying but nothing extraordinary. Overall, while the lobster bisque was a bit too rich for my liking, the crab sandwich was a decent option. The restaurant may want to consider reducing the butter in the bisque to better showcase the flavor of the lobster.

Vibe Manager O.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here. Service was friendly and food was good. One of my teenage kids wouldn't put down their phone but that's certainly not the fault of the restaurant. :) We will be back next time we are in the Hamptons.

Ivan K.

Yelp
Much better than expected !! The Lobster bisque had a large amount of lobster in ti !! YUM Steamers absolutley the best I've ever had !! Very nice authenic lobster roll... I'd recommend the hot !! Friendly service !

Tony P.

Yelp
New new new. At least I didn't have to wait on a long line for seats. The cold lobster roll was as chunky as ever. The hot version, the same. The French Fries were easily shareable and the New England Clam Chowder was excellent. The prices. Well, I can't complain, it is the Hamptons and one needs to expect high prices. Would I return. Absolutely.

Jason M.

Yelp
Good place for lobster rolls The New England clam chowder is one of the best I've ever had. The service is fabulous

Russell D.

Yelp
The lobster rolls are great the restaurant impeccably, clean, well-maintained, friendly staff and family friendly. It is located in the Hamptons, so the lobster rolls are priced accordingly at $35 each which is about $15 more than I usually see. But it's in the Hamptons and I'm sure the restaurant incurs a high cost for rent staff, etc. Definitely a great place to eat. I recommend it.

Christopher A.

Yelp
So while traveling out East, had to stop in, had no choice on my girl's bucket list. So she wanted to hear about their famous Lobster Roll, she was not disappointed, luckily she couldn't finish so I won too. I wasn't in the mood for a Lobster roll, and on one of the pick a bulls eye menu selections I got a grilled tuna steak sandwich. Let me tell ya, best I ever had, grilled perfect medium as I request, and with every bite I moaned in pleasure. Extremely clean diner like atmosphere, great parking and high prices worth every penny..........just wish you were closer !

Francis M.

Yelp
Best value for quality seafood in the Hamptons. Seafood bisque is loaded with seafood. Would like to see full belied fried clams instead of clam strips though. Our favorite.

Phillip C.

Yelp
Good food but not worth the hype. I can say that there are better out there. Service is good but food has gone down since they expanded

Steph A.

Yelp
Great food and awesome service. I usually always take pictures of my food but this was too good where didn't even think to! The lobster bisque was amazing, the hot lobster rolls were great - the coleslaw was really good too. We started with mussels and nachos were great also. I'm so happy they opened up this spot!

Gail B.

Yelp
Summer never ends now that Lunch aka Lobster Roll has opened a year-round location in Southampton. The parking lot has a capacity of at least 50 vehicles. I got a seat as soon as I walked in the door. It was not that crowded. 'Twas two days before Christmas, when all through the Island, a lot of foodies were stirring through the shopping malls, doing some last minute holiday shopping. Virtually all of Lobster Roll's customers were casually dressed, with broad smiles on their faces. Pamela was my server. She was helpful and pleasant. She also gave me her food recommendations. Her favorite soup is the lobster bisque, and the lobster rolls (both hot and cold) are the most popular entrées. The food came fast. I am a lobster bisque snob, and the one here, impressively, has a chunk of fresh lobster with every taste. I have had many lobster bisques before, but none are as good as the one that I tasted today. I licked the bowl clean. The bun that came with the hot lobster roll was crisp and served separately from the lobster meat. The meat itself was drowning in unseasoned butter. Just look at the ramekin in the photo below. Surprisingly, Lunch's signature sandwich did not live up to my expectations. Andrea, one of the partners, makes sure that all customers are satisfied. After hearing about my complaint, she introduced herself to me and gave me a TIP: IMMEDIATELY, TELL THE SERVER IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH SOMETHING". Next time, I will be sure to ask for a low-fat lobster roll. Her husband Carl informed me that outdoor dining will open up in the Spring. My club soda was cold and bubbly, resembling champagne. My IPhone's Internet connection was superb, in contrast to the virtually nonexistent (talk about puns!!!) one in the Amagansett location. What is not to like about this seafood lover's paradise? Do yourself a favor. Get off your butt and come down to the new Lunch aka Lobster Roll in Southampton. It is a life-changing seafoodgasmic experience.

Johnathan C.

Yelp
The food was great The lobster is so good! The service was pretty good. I ordered a coca cola and a got a pepsi and they said they had coke! But overall I recommend this spot highly

Debbie M.

Yelp
Diner atmosphere, which was surprising. Got a lobster appetizer which was great, and a hot lobster roll. I liked that the butter was served on the side since the roll didn't get drenched and I usually don't eat all the bread anyway. It gave me the option to eat as I would like. Took half home. Also dipped lobster into butter, which was delicious. Pricey, but that's to be expected with lobster. Had a speciality drink which wasn't great but that was only complaint.

Christina B.

Yelp
The lobster bisque--creamy and loaded with lobster chunks. The Classic lobster salad roll--delicious, generous proportions. The fish and chips--light and crispy. Friendly and efficient wait staff. Easy to recommend.

Susie W.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch here in our way out of town. Our large group was seated right away, as we arrived right when they opened. Although we were I totally disappointed they were out of most of their specials, we did enjoy some clam chowder and lobster rolls. The rolls were packed and fresh, and definitely worth the price :)

Joey D.

Yelp
Worth that $36 for the infamous lobster roll. The mussels very good too. I still prefer the vibe at the original place better in Amagansette but the food here is the same and a lot closer. I cheer it

James R.

Yelp
I want to like this place better, but I just don't think it's all that great. The lobster rolls are fair, as is the rest of their menu. This place looks like, has been, and wants to be, a coffee shop. And it should.

Yelp
I love Lunch. So easy to get a big booth. And the service is so kind. And the fare so yummy. Remember its roots on the way to Montauk when it was a shabby chic shack

Yelp
Lunch Lobster Roll in Southampton is a welcome upgrade from Princess Diner. Finally the reasonable prices of the casual seafood restaurant from Montauk placed right off the Toni village of Southampton. The Lobster roll was very good, the fish & chips were above average but the best part is the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Sort of like being in Montauk. Best place to go when you're not dressed to impress in Southampton.

Yelp
B.J. and I have been looking forward to trying the New Lobster Roll Restaurant since it opened and finally Saturday circa 5 PM we made our visit. On initial observation it stood out on the intersection of Rte 27 and Montauk Hwy. The venue used to be a Diner and it still looks like a Diner...so much for atmosphere or beach vibes like the original. Its nice that its a year round location but even with the decorations inside it still looks like a Diner! We were quickly greeted and seated for our late lunch early dinner. Servers were plentiful and helping eachother taking orders and delivering food. We ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque and an order of Fried Calamari... the Bisque was very good with tasty nibbits of Lobster... on the other hand, the Calamari was Not good. I believe it was overcooked and not crunchy at all. The coating did not taste good and most of all the calamari was very hard to chew...like rubber bands...Pointed it out to server who blew it off and had no concern for my comments. Entre's were next; BJ had a hot lobster roll which was served unconventionally, lobster in a dish with butter, with a top sliced bun which you placed the lobster in...It was delish! I had the Fish & Chips which was outstanding! 6 large "fingers" of nicely coated Cod (i think) which tasted fresh and substantial...and came with good quantity of crispy fries! If in the dead of winter I had craving for Lobster roll I would def return here. Otherwise, lacking the atmosphere, which is as important as the food, and the feeling of being in a diner I would pass....I appreciate the intent but it just dosent do it for me.

Yelp
First time trying out the new Lunch Lobster Roll, I usually go to the other location but decided to try this one out. We were greeted & sat by the hostess. Our waitress was really nice and attentive also. The restaurant was super clean, even the bathroom was spotless. Great environment. Food was excellent! Kids had a good time too. I will definitely be back and highly recommend stopping in. Thanks for a great experience. Huge parking lot as well.
