"If you’re looking to extensively explore Italian wines alongside a selection of classic Italian antipasti, Locanda Wine Bar is more than willing to oblige. Get a selection of meats and cheese, while drinking a glass of rosé or pinot grigio of your choice (or whatever else you’re feeling at the moment). There are special events to attend, such as wine dinners and live music nights, plus a cocktail menu for those who perhaps aren’t as enthusiastic about wine." - Dianne de Guzman, Matt Lardie

My birthday lunch with all my children and grands. Wonderful time, the waitstaff were marvelous, and their joining in singing Happy Birthday was so fun. Thank you to all the staff members.

Had a lovely experience at Locanda Wine Bar! The service was amazing—everyone was so attentive and welcoming. Rafael was especially sweet and made our night even more special by surprising us with a free sorbet. Highly recommend for a cozy night out with great food and even better service!

A such great italian feeling there. The food is awesome. Will come back when near Livermore. I forgot to take a pic of one of the dishes but it was delicious "Pollo a la Marssala" appettizer and dessert top notch. I went for a second time last weekend and added the pictures of the food. Excelent!

I came here for the 1st time to celebrate my Birthday. I enjoyed it all. From the service to the drinks and food, I had a great experience. I will be back. Thank you Locanda!

I can’t say enough good things about Locanda Wine Bar! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant — the perfect blend of cozy and refined. The wine list is exceptional, with a thoughtful selection of both local California wines and international gems. Our server, Antonio, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and had the best recommendations — both for wine pairings and food. You can tell he’s passionate about hospitality and takes pride in ensuring his guests have a wonderful time. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The small plates were perfect for sharing — we especially loved the burrata with heirloom tomatoes and the truffle mushroom flatbread. You can tell the kitchen puts real care into their ingredients and flavors. Whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or just looking for a relaxing night out, Locanda Wine Bar is a must-visit. With service like Antonio’s and a menu this good, I’ll definitely be back!

It's a great place for fun with good food and drinks. The service is outstanding. We were a party of 10 with a reservation made. And we were seated as each one arrived. They didn't ask for the entire party to be present to be seated, which was amazing, given that it was very cold. Our server was really great, making great suggestions for the wines, drinks, and the rest of the food. All our food came out really fast even though they had another wine launch event or so going on. Overall, it's a great place, a must try for sure. Fridays and weekends can get very busy.

Google
First visit here. Fun atmosphere and decor. Nice patio and outdoor heated area. They turned an old bar into a fun restaurant. I hate to say it, but I was not impressed with the food. Lasagna didn't have much flavor, and I didn't care for the garbanzo soup at all. The petite four dessert and the appetizers were good. Will give it another try sometime.

Yelp
Food 10/10 Wow! I haven't had such GREAT quality food in so long! You must try Fritto Misto, Brasanto Piemonte, Fiori De Zucca! ALL AMAZING! The gelato with affogato was also so good! I can't wait to try more! Service 10/10 Service was AMAZING! All staff was so nice and accommodating! Genuinely nice people! Ambiance 10/10 Love the ambiance, a little small but intimate.

Yelp
Our Friday evening meal at Locanda Wine Bar was a mixed bag. Wait staff were friendly, but service was uneven. We ordered cocktails, an appetizer, and two "secondi." Both cocktails - a 1926 and a Hugo Spritz - were quite good. Shortly after we ordered (and I do mean shortly) a server showed up at our table with two plates of food and said something we couldn't understand. She was clearly trying to deliver mains, but we thought she might have the wrong table, so we told her those weren't ours. She was back a minute later and, it turned out, they were the "secondi" we had ordered. Our appetizer had not been delivered and we didn't get it until after we reminded a waiter about it. Isn't the appetizer supposed to arrive before the main course? As to the food: my husband's branzino was very good, but I was quite disappointed in my eggplant dish, Melanzana Scarpone. It was lukewarm when delivered, so the cheese had congealed. The dish was bland and the portion was small. If you order this,, make sure you order something else to go with it, unless you have a very light appetite. My husband did not care for the Affogato, but I did like my Torta Ricotta e Pistachi.

Yelp
Locanda has one of the most beautifully decorated dining areas! Whether you are seated inside or outside, you feel like you are at ease and comfortable enjoying a delicious meal with family and friends. We ordered the zucchini fritters (must try), margherita pizza, pulpo, and an order of calamari. I would come back for the zucchini fritters alone - they are that good! We washed everything down with a pitcher of Furore (alcoholic cocktail that was a blend of lemonade and smashed blackberry puree), and were able to move the umbrellas around outside so we could keep ourselves and the food out of the sun. The menu items were a teensy bit overpriced, but the food was good and made with quality ingredients nonetheless. I highly recommend this spot for date nights, weekend brunch, or sharing a meal with close friends.

Yelp
Date: Saturday, July 15th, 2023 Time: 11:30am Party of: 8 Meal: Birthday Lunch / Brunch Reservations Made: via OpenTable about 3 weeks prior *Insalata Di Pere ($13.95) *Fiori Di Zucca ($15.95) *Margherita ($19.95) *Emotions Petits Fours ($14) *Limoncello Cake ($12) *GL Mionetto Prosecco ($13) *GL Cava Villarnu ($14) *GL Grillo ($14) *GL Cabernet Sauvignon Robert Hall ($14) x2 *Vesuvio ($15) x4 *Caprese ($15.95) *Bianca Ai Funghi ($23.95) *GL Cabernet Sauvignon McGrail ($18) *Meat Lover's ($27) *Veggie Omelette ($17.95) *Lasagna Della Mamma ($20.95) *Polpette Della Mamma ($15.95) *Aperol Spritz ($14) *GL Primitivo ($13) x2 *Basiltini ($15) *Espresso ($3.50) x2 *Coppa al Pistacchio ($12) We were gathering for a friend's birthday and wanted to have lunch before wine tasting in Livermore. We were seated inside towards the back in a table along the wall, so half of the seating was kinda booth style and the other half was not. A couple peeps in our party got here first and grabbed some drinks at the bar. We did everything family style since we're big on sharing and trying a bunch of things. I adore meatballs, so I enjoyed this dish. Plus, it was super saucy and I like my tomato sauce. The pinsas were cut into 8 pieces each, so perfect for our group. I'm a big fan of mushrooms and truffle, so that pinsa was my fav. Drinks were fairly priced. Had some bubbles and followed up with a glass of red. They do give you complimentary bread with I think an olive tapenade. Service was nice and friendly. I know a big group can be a lot, but we kept it organized when ordering. I typically make a list and just order for the whole table. Luckily, my friends put up with my virgo madness. They also gave us a complimentary dessert - the Chocolate Praline Cake fir the bday boy. A nice spot for a group brunch in Livermore. REVIEW #3449

Yelp
The espresso martini was a solid drink but got weirdly watery at the end. I would order it again if I came back. It was tasty despite it losing some of its heft at the end. The biggest disappointment of the night was the "lasagna". It was the soupiest, most flavorless mess I've ever eaten. Locanda that was not lasagna. It tasted like dough with tomato sauce poured over it. I mean look at the picture. I don't mind a little extra sauce but can I get some flavor and maybe some meat with that mess??? I'm being critical because eating out is never cheap. The value for what I was given was not up to par. It was so bad I'm not sure I'll return. Locanda yall need to do better.

Yelp
My friend made reservations for 11am on a Saturday for 4 adults. It was pretty empty when we arrived and were told we could sit anywhere. Perhaps reservations were not needed but just incase! It was a bit chilly So we sat inside. They did seem to have the outside covered and provided blankets. Their brunch menu seemed very limited. I was expecting more of a selection. They still offered lunch options as well. I got the waffle. It was pretty good. The fruit was fresh and sweet. I just wish the waffle was bigger in size or maybe served with a side of potatoes or something. I didn't find it super filling. I loved that they provided refills on the coffee and it's surprising because it's espresso coffee or something they made at the espresso machine. My friend got the Margherita pizza. My husband and other friend both got meat lover omelet and vegetarian omelet, respectively. They were really big! The staff was friendly. We didn't feel rushed and even after we paid and stayed to talk longer, the guy still came around multiple times to refill our waters. By that point I told the guy "I promise we'll be leaving soon" and he was like oh don't worry about it. :) He seemed to be the busser. Nice guy. I saw they had mimosas which looked good but I wanted my coffee instead. I've come for dinner a few months ago and their cocktails were excellent.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant since it felt very cozy. The decor looked very nice and thought out. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. I ordered a Pane and olives (bread and olive dip), lasagna, meat lover pizza, and a couple of cocktails. The bread tasted fresh but I would skip the olive dip. The lasagna was good but a little too saucy and I wished the portion size was a little bigger. I was still hungry after finishing this. The meat lover pizza was tasty. One of my cocktail tasted amazing. It was spicy and a little smoky. The Nutella martini was a little strong for me.

Yelp
Came by for a quick weekday lunch and had a solid experience. We tried the Fiori di Zucca zucchini blossoms ($16, okay) and the Cannelloni Al Tartufo ($24, great), followed by the Torta Ricotta e Pistacchi ($14, oversweet) and Tartufo al Cioccolato ($13, good). The service was fine but the dishes were a little pricey for the quantity served. They also were out of one of the beers advertised on their menu.

Leslie B.

Yelp
Beautiful place with yummy food and friendly staff. Love the music they play and the seating outside was delightful. A bit pricey, particularly for a bottle of twist off top wine but I guess thats to be expected for the area.

Nicki P.

Yelp
What an amazing addition to downtown Livermore! I know they've been here for a while now but 'wow' what an experience every time I've gone! Had a little get together for my birthday last night and the hospitality was wonderful! They make you feel welcome and comfortable. Food and drinks are always on point!

Yelp
This place is a must-try! Locanda offers a unique dining experience by providing some of the best Italian recipes I have had. The restaurant's menu combines traditional Italian and modern creative cooking styles, ensuring each dish is familiar and innovative. The warm, inviting atmosphere further enhances the experience, making Locanda a perfect choice for those seeking exceptional Italian cuisine in a welcoming environment. Below are the food items we have tried: Ischia (cocktail) 10/10 Insalata di mele n noci 10/10 Fiori Di Zucca 10/10 Gamberoni in Umido 10/10 Lasagna Della Mamma 10/10

Phil B.

Yelp
Have been to this establishment a few times to see if it should be on my go to list. Nice location by Livermorium Park. Small inside with ample outdoor seating. Best item I had was when grandma from Italy was visiting and made family recipe gnocchi. Other standard menu items tend to be ok. But for an authentic Italian restaurant, pretty surprised how the pizza really misses the mark - big thumbs down.

Christina S.

Yelp
Great for dog people! Service is quick and friendly! Order a cocktail or 2. Happy Hour is M-F 3-5pm. Definitely coming back for that! Ambience is classy yet chill.

Sidney D.

Yelp
I go to the Downtown Pleasanton location at least once a month and came here for the first time yesterday - IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Because I've had such a great experience with not only the food, but the service, I'm going to make it a point to visit all locations before summer ends! The ambiance is always lively and makes you feel like you're in another country. As for food, the Tartufa pizza is my go-to EVERY TIME and it's always consistent (ask for the chili peppers in oil, not the chili flakes) CHEF'S KISS!! The espresso martini is perfect for a night cap. Sweet, tasty and perfectly strong. If you want something a little more refreshing, choose the Basiltini! For something super sweet, Vesuvio is the cocktail for you. Needless to say, there's an option for everyone here. Choose Locanda for your next outing!

Yelp
I came here with my sister on a Sunday night. It was one of the few places that were open. We wanted to eat somewhere a little intimate with some good wine selection. We parked around the corner not knowing they have 2 very small spots right at front. They have a huge outdoor patio, one covered & the other uncovered. We came during the winter, so it was a bit chilly. They had no room inside, so we opted for some covered patio seating with heaters and blankets. The atmosphere was great, the service was good. The food we both enjoyed a lot. My sister is vegetarian, so she chose a gnocchi mushroom pasta and I chose salmon with artichoke hearts. Both dishes were quite delicious. The menu does change around. We ordered a bottle of wine to share (Charles Woodson's Intercept Pinot) & it was quite tasty. We spent the night chatting and enjoying the vibe. I did knock off 1 star because my sister got violently ill in the middle of the night. Most likely food poisoning from here since we didn't go anywhere for lunch or breakfast & the rest of the family & kids were totally ok. This doesn't deter me from trying it again though. ha.

Christie S.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times. I like it. Have always enjoyed good service and food. They have a great outdoor dining and an outdoor lounge area. Good happy hour and it's available everywhere, which I greatly appreciate. Tonight was my first happy hour there and I stopped because I had later dinner reservations elsewhere but I was hungry and needed a little something to last me until dinner plans. I ordered the HH margarita pizza - so good, too good, I ate too much of it. Boy it had such inviting aroma, nice flavor and great outer crust. YUM!

Connie L.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place because I love their Danville location. The service was great but that was it. 4 of us ordered the ravioli di mare and it was disappointing. Flavorless and very small portions for $30 a plate. It tasted like straight tomato sauce with arugula sprinkled on top. The ravioli had zero flavor and the shrimp were over cooked. Our bill was $500 and half of our table didn't like their food. Ugh! Maybe go here for drinks and dessert only.

Shawna W.

Yelp
Employees are fabulous & friendly. Everything we've ever ordered is delicious! The atmosphere is warm, cozy & inviting. You must try this place!

Mike R.

Yelp
We had wonderful service and great cuisine at LWB. We definitely will be returning to dine there again. We were there on 6/20/24 to celebrate our 26th anniversary.

Kristen M.

Yelp
From the ambiance to the staff and the FOOD! Everything was amazing (chefs kiss)! We had the Aranchini, octopus and special raviolis. Their espresso martinis and aperol spritz are the BEST around. Oh and parking was EASY.

Samantha M.

Yelp
Bar service was surprisingly rough. We had full service there, yet would have easily (and hopefully) better if we sat at a table. Our bartender must have forgot to put in our appetizer which was just the bread- we mentioned if it was coming out around 25 mins after ordering and he mentioned it "was on its way". It came out about 5 mins after our entrees- so we just had them take it back. He never came around to ask for another round of drinks and also forgot to bring over a soft drink that was ordered from the beginning. The wrong fish came out but at this point we just ate. I was there with my parents and We ordered the meat pizza, halibut- yet the Branzino came out, and the gnocchi. I liked the flavor of the gnocchi but it was drowning in sauce and it was very rich. He served us an apéritif as a gesture but didn't mention what it was and just dropped it down with the check. We ended up giving it to the guest next to us since neither of us enjoy since we didn't know what it was. I will say overall the cocktails are good, I did enjoy the Pomepii, and we also ordered the Nutella Martini. Don't plan on sitting at the bar if you want a subpar experience

Tracey F.

Yelp
Great fun atmosphere with outdoor seating. Service was friendly but felt similar to service you get a very large chain restaurant. The food was really bad, especially for the prices. Octopus was hard and chewy, pizzas were just average (not even good) and the ravioli de mare came out cold and undercooked with hard crunchy ends. Just awful. I may return to sit outside and have wine or cocktails, but would never get the food again.

Manda P.

Yelp
Ate here for our anniversary and loved it. Sat outside in lovely weather, and the service was very attentive (water refilled regularly, server checking in). Our drinks were amazing, and the food was solid. Will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Lamar H.

Yelp
Great food and service. The atmosphere is also very vibrant. Great place to go to on a date and with friends.

Melissa L.

Yelp
Such a great ambiance, and the service is amazing. The food is light and delicious! Highly recommend!

Angela L.

Yelp
A group of us came here this past weekend to celebrate a friend's big birthday milestone. It was scorching hot this past weekend in Livermore, so we were all prepared to eat and drink responsibly. Since I had a driver, I started off right away with an Aperol Spritz cocktail, which was so tasty. I ended up having two over this entire meal. The group shared some small bites and there were no standouts out for me. We also decided(because of the heat) to share a bunch of entrees. The pizza was too saucy for my taste, and the Vegetarian Omellete was pretty tasty. If I were to come back, I might just order this for food. Like I said, I enjoyed my two drinks. Service was friendly, and they even gave us Limoncello shots at the end of our meal and also gave our friend some birthday sweets, which was nice of them.

Livier M.

Yelp
I will keep this simple because I think most people who stumble across Yelp just want to know the nitty gritty. Every single item from the bread to the appetizer and our main entree was a 10/10! I don't think I've had good Italian food where I'm legitimately impressed In a VERY long time. I mean extremely impressed and I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have a line out the door! The drinks were also cute and creative but they Can also do the simple yet tasty glasses of wine if you prefer that. I will just leave it at that. Do yourself a favor and RUN here!

Sue S.

Yelp
We enjoyed dinner before an evening talk at the Bankhead. We sat outdoors and were comfortable despite the chilly evening. The pre-dinner cocktails (martinis and limoncello spritz) were classic and generous. For dinner the waiter split the pear salad without being asked and brought two spoons for the soup du jour (clam chowder.) For entrees we enjoyed the Branzino, gnocchi alla piemontese, ravioli di mare and the short rib. Everything was served hot and was delicious. We savored every morsel and left nothing behind. All was enjoyed with bottle of Chianti. Tullio treated us to a decadent tiramisu dessert and yummy vodka shots. Aside from great food and beverages, we had fun knowledgeable wait staff who made the evening memorable.

Slava C.

Yelp
Good stuff! Impressed and thank you for a good times at this downtown Livermore location. Would highly recommend the patio with the cooling mists off the ceiling on the hot, summer day (came at 108°F, and were comfortably seated, observing boiling downtown from chilled, well served spot). Great service, was slightly lacking decant knowledge, which we clarified on the spot with visiting owner of the local McGrail winery (Thank you Mark and Jes). Our server was very polite, knowledgeable in menu and dishes, and even spoke different languages, that surprised the guests. Missed the name, but got the guy on the "cover page image" popping the bottle of McGrail, that will proudly post. Appetizers Really served the need! Shout out to the 1.Prawns and 2.Ahi tuna spread (missed the names of dishes). Meat Pizza was something of the unique flavor as well. Didn't really appreciate the noodles as per your standards they should be semi cooked, and so they were. Not a big fan of semi raw noodles drowned in tomato sauce (personal taste). Dessert - yes! Especially the limoncello cake. Another good one was the variety of different mini-cakes on the platter. Don't know the names of the dishes, as our server was gracious enough to surprise us with the best dishes in the house. And so he did, and we Thank him for that! Beautiful tableware along with well designed food layout is something to acknowledge, and definitely a thing that gets a five star review with the new customer joining the club!

Anna V.

Yelp
Huge Disappointment. Two of us went to dinner tonight. After we ordered, it took an hour for our food to arrive and when it finally did, it was absolutely cold. When you're paying over $32 for an entree. you expect it to arrive at least warm. When I told our food server that both entrees (sea bass and seafood ravioli) were cold, he took the entrees and returned 5 minutes later with the same plates (because it was left in the same position from when we took a bite to determine it was cold). So we assume that they had put in the microwave! The seafood, although now was hot, was rubbery and overcooked and chewy. We also ordered a salad that came after the entrees arrived because it was forgotten. It's just so sad to pay $150 for microwaved seafood and non-existent customer service. I understand mistakes can happen, and maybe our food was somehow forgotten, but when it came to their attention, they should've put in the effort to re-make the food. I don't trust what's happening in that kitchen. and it's sad to think the direction to microwave the food might've even come down from management. Do better.

Claire N.

Yelp
Super authentic restaurant. It is one of my go to's in downtown Livermore. The service is great. All the times I've been here our waiter/waitress has been super nice. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice as well. I like that there is an option to sit indoors or outdoors. I've tried the Bianca Ai Funghi pizza which is delicious, highly recommend. In my photo I tried the Cannelloni Della Mamma. It was so yummy but the portion was so small for the price. I think if it came with 1-2 more pieces it would be more worth it. Wine is a must.

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Locanda Wine Bar is a little slice of Italy in Livermore. The restaurant's ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and relaxation. My husband and I opted for the outdoor lounge area, giving a vacation-like atmosphere with excellent people-watching on First Street. For our main course, I tried the Ravioli di Mare, and my husband enjoyed the Lasagna della Mama. Both dishes were tasty, but what stood out was the complimentary olive tapenade and bread. Costanzo, our server, was the highlight of the evening. He was friendly and attentive, offering spot-on wine pairing recommendations that perfectly complemented our entrees. Pricing was reasonable, given the quality and portions. We couldn't resist the Tiramisu for dessert, and it was a unique, delicious treat.

Ellie M.

Yelp
Service can be a little slow..but overall Locanda is always a great place to come by for a drink! I like to come here to have some drinks while I catch up with friends or a date night. The summer is the best time to visit and sit in the outside area.

Brenna S.

Yelp
Every time I come here I swear the prices get higher and the portions smaller. Came here today and spent way too much and I didn't feel satisfied. It's a very cute ambience with fun drinks but the food is disappointing especially for how expensive it is. Service is friendly but tends to be slow, don't mind it much but sometimes you have to remind them that you've been waiting.

Larry W.

Yelp
Really disappointing! Excited to dine here as their menu looked good, unfortunately something needs to taste good too... Ordered gnocchi and a lasagna and both were the worst gnocchi and lasagna ever!!! Obliterated in an oven beyond done, way too hot to eat when brought to table as it was dangerously hot! And burnt, inedible cheese on top...pasta was mush, but gnocchi was really a disgrace... called gnocchi Sorrentina which is actually a famous dish in a certain region of Italy, but THIS Was Not it. If you never tried Gnocchi before and ate this, you would never order it again. Service wasn't much better than the food either... An unfortunate waste of time and money!!!

Cheryl T.

Yelp
Locanda is our go to restaurant for any occasion! Whether it's our date night, a birthday party, or just to have a drink, Locanda is hands down ... the place to be!!! From smiling faces who greet you upon arrival, great food and drinks, great customer service, this is a one of a kind restaurant.

Leann P.

Yelp
All the drinks are so good. Service is impeccable. Food is so amazing. I got the ribeye special and the steak had the best crust everyone

Victoria B.

Yelp
This is the perfect girls night (or day) spot! The ambiance is great and the food/drinks are delicious. We love getting drinks and splitting an appetizers and one of their pizzas. My absolute favorites are the Diavola pizza and Fiori Di Zucca (fried zucchini blossoms filled with cheese). We always feel like we're on vacation for a couple hours when we visit locanda!

Susan N.

Yelp
Stopped in without reservations and were immediately welcomed in and were seated during a busy time. Fast and friendly service. The food was phenomenal and the espresso martini!! OMG

Amrit G.

Yelp
Decided to take my friend here for her birthday lunch, the drinks were pretty good. Extensive wine menu. The place doesn't have that many options for food. The portion sizes for pastas are pretty small. The dessert was pretty good. Service was fast since it was a mid afternoon. The environment and restaurant overall is a vibe! Def a spot to check out in livermore

Carolyn Y.

Yelp
Locanda is family. They create great food and take excellent care of us. I appreciate the exceptional service. They also hosted my book release party and I loved the detail.

Jess M.

Yelp
I am unsure if this restaurant recently opened up but I'm barley finding out about it. Overall I would recommend this place. The food is amazing as well as the wine selection. I ordered brussel sprouts, these were more on the softer side. I would rate them a 6/10. I love my brussel sprouts more on the crisper side. For Valentine's Day I ordered the Ravioli Cupido. Amazing! The pasta itself you can find at Costco during Valentine's season. But the dressing they made....like no other!! I ordered the Veuve Clicquot, which is a sparkling. The bartender recommended it and it did not disappoint. The inside had a few selection of tables but plenty room at the bar. They also have tables located outside with heaters, I would love to come here on a warm sunny day. Service is amazing as well. Overall I recommend this spot.

Ricky S.

Yelp
Locanda is an amazing Italian getaway for people living in the Stockton-Modesto area. We came on a pretty busy Sunday and while the service may have been slowed down, nothing felt compromised. The service was excellent and friendly, the food tasted fresh and authentic, and the prices were more than reasonable. We were also able to enjoy the beautiful May weather on their comfortable patio. My only complaint was that the ambiance felt a little crowded but I was soon distracted by the great experience which started as soon as we met the host. Locanda is an excellent option for those looking for casual Italian.

Randy R.

Yelp
What a wonderful lunch at locanda, there was 5 of us and we all had different things and everyone was happy. Great cocktails to start with nice cocktail and wine list, wonderful attentive service. I had the.bronzino it was prepared great, nice menu with varied selections, but gotta say the.highlight of the meal was.dessert the lemon cello cake was great!!! So light and flavorful. If u have never been I highly recommend locanda!!!

Jim S.

Yelp
This place had so much potential very cool But did not execute..... Pretty boy behind the bar too busy talking to his friend to pay attention to a guest .... Bought the best red wine by the glass but served too warm.... room temp or above .... not at cellar temp Ordered the Dungeness special salad ..... throw in front of me by a food runner .... pretty boy bartender too busy to follow up with guest after food presented .... In the salad more mayonnaise and avacado than crab .... overwhelmed crab and could barely taste .... might as well have been fake crab ... Was going to order a second course but I felt invisible ... It was social time for the employees from the front of the house to the bar to what I could see back in the kitchen ..... But there was a customer at the bar who had been served food. And no one seemed to care how he was doing...... Smug smug smug .... All show and no go .... My guess is if they know you here, you will get good service but just a bum off the street.....

Yelp
Went for Brunch. Ate inside as lots was going on outside and it was a little toasty. Misters going outside which is never good for my hair lol, but others seemed to enjoy it. Lovely woman singing some 70,80s and 90's classics outside.

Yelp
Food and especially wine choices are not great. Also, not part of the community. They don't care about doing what's right by people

Yelp
WOW...we stopped in for a Sunday lunch We ate on the patio so our little pooch could join us. We followed our server's recommendations. I had the brasato piemontese (brazed short ribs over truffle polenta). My partner had the creamy pasta with pork cheek. Both dishes were a "10"...my short ribs literally melted in my mouth. We split the tiramisu scomposto...OMG..the best I have ever had. Our first visit to this location and we will be back! The chef was excellent...5 star service from Silvia

Yelp
Great food & service! It was an early Mother's Day dinner and the restaurant was busy. Our server was wonderful!

Yelp
Locanda Wine Bar is definitely a wine bar. The drinks are great and they have a wide selection of wine. Food was ok. To start, for the table they gave us bread and some olive puree spread. Olive spread was good but bread was so hard its almost stale. So we asked our server if they have fresh bread because our bread was stale. He quickly said he will give us the crostini. To our surprise at the end of the meal he charged us for the crostini that we didn't even asked for nor even touched because it was almost burnt. Don't offer something then charge us for what we didn't ask for. All we wanted was fresh bread not stale bread. Our meal: Steak Florentine 3/5 it was cooked to our liking and taste ok. The meat was not something outstanding for $47.00 I expected better. Lasagna - 3/5 they drenched the plate with sauce that's fine but very small lasagna drowned in the sauce. Branzino - 3/5 the fish was a good size and taste good. The salad that came with it was super sour it didn't go well with the fish. The Brussels sprouts was good. Caesar salad - 4/5 good enough it had fresh shaved parmesan, croutons was good the salad was fresh. Overall, food was ok, drinks great. If you want good food go somewhere else just come here for drinks after all its a wine bar. We all agreed we will not come back here. This was the second time we came here and food did not live up to our expectations.
