The food and the outdoor view were great. Started out trying the Oyster Rock appetizer. First time trying this and for sure will order it again. We then followed up with the French Quarter Pasta and the Seared Sea Scallops for our meals. Not only was the food great... there was so much on the plate that we got to enjoy the leftovers again the next day. I definitely would recommend giving Lockside a try. The only negative was the service, but sometimes, service is the luck of the draw.

My first time here and I like this place. Coleslaw...good. Meatloaf...good Mashed potatoes...good Gravy.....okay Fried Shrimp....good Fries...good We sat on the patio and it was nice with the weather. Will be back. Downside...Gravy was not homemade. They should use Pioneer Gravy if they are not going to make it and it should always glue given warm.

Google
Exceptional flounder and one of the best corn and crab chowder bowls I have ever had! Service was fantastic and very attentive and polite! Highly recommend for seafood when you are in Chesapeake. Great view of the canal from the dockside dining area. Fun to see fish jump from the water!

Google
Very cool spot, amazing food! Service wasn't great, our server was in a bad mood. I asked to sub shrimp for chicken in the Baja bowl and was charged an extra $6 without warning. The patty melt was one of the best over ever had though, I love their fries. Our kids split and pancake and it was delectable. Would visit again on a nice day!

Google
Best ribs I’ve ever had! They were a full huge rack, with such a great taste and just fall off the bone. Truly finger licking good. Not only that, they are quite the bargain at only $19. They have become quite a commodity amongst the locals so hope they don’t sell out. The best kept secret in Chesapeake, well secret no more. You’ve gotta come try them. You won’t be disappointed. Tell them Bert sent you! That picture is a DOUBLE STACK! Full rack!

We were here visiting and our first time here. Absolutely a wonderful experience from walking in to us leaving 3 hours later. The breakfast and drinks from the bar were amazing...this is why we stayed at the bar longer than usual. Our bartender/waitress, Taylor, was so attentive to all of our needs. She recommended the shrimp and grits to us and it did not disappoint!!! The best thing was Taylor's big smile she had on her face as she greeted and took care of everyone that sat down. She kept the drinks flowing! She did all of this while being short staffed that morning, but you would have never known by her bubbly attitude. We will definitely be back when we are visiting again. A must stop for a drink! Cheers!

Google
We stopped here to grab some brunch on our way to VB! The food here is so good and the servers are really nice. I had the eggs Benedict, which was one of the best I've had in a long time. I highly recommend stopping here! It's a really nice place!

Google
Beautiful atmosphere with nature surrounding. I enjoyed my meal. My eggs were made exactly how I like them. My French toast was better than I expected. The homefries were not what I expected as far as looks but they were actually a bite to enjoy. The drink was a good match. I will definitely be back to try more menu options.

Yelp
I visited Lockside for breakfast this morning, and was lucky enough to get Taylor as my server. She was absolutely wonderful, and the food was great! I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Lockside Bar & Grill is one of those hidden gems you're glad you stumbled upon. Tucked at the very end of a shopping center, you might not even notice it's there--but once you do, you'll be glad you stopped in. The interior dining room is pretty basic and nothing particularly memorable at first glance. But don't let that fool you--the magic happens when you step out the side door. The outdoor deck area is the star of the show, lined with palm trees and overlooking the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal. There are covered rocking picnic tables right by the water, a spacious covered bar, and even a second seating area that opens fully to the outdoors, giving it a great breezy, indoor-outdoor vibe. This casual spot is great for a laid-back lunch or a relaxed evening with drinks. The service was friendly and on point--our waitress made a great recommendation that I'll be raving about for a while: the crab-stuffed avocado salad. The avocado halves (yes, four of them!) are packed with crab meat, lightly battered, and fried to golden perfection. Honestly, forget the salad--those avocados deserve their own spotlight and would make a fantastic shareable appetizer. That said, the salad itself was fresh and flavorful, and I'd come back just for that dish alone. Drinks were well-made, prices were moderate, and the overall atmosphere is perfect for unwinding by the water. Lockside isn't flashy, but it's definitely worth discovering. I'd absolutely return the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Lockside bar and grill in Chesapeake offers a scenic outdoor seating area and bar and a nice dining area inside. I stopped for diner on a Friday night and unfortunately there were no tables available outside. The menu has a variety of options and they offer drink specials. I thought the Cajun pasta was good. You can tell this place gets busy so don't expect 5 star service. I would go back for drinks only if able to sit in their outside seating area.

Peter S.

Yelp
The server never provided us with dining utensils. We had to get them from another server. The server told us the happy hour price for a beer was $6 a glass. It was really $3.50 a glass. Another server had to deliver our food. Our bill overcharged us for a beer we never had. Had to point that out to the server to get the correct bill. Despite the above incidents, we have the server a 20% tip. However, it will be a long time until we return. Exposing poorly trained servers to the customers is not a good business practice.

Yelp
While this is your ordinary bar and grill, they also take reservations. The seating can be inside or outside which overlooks a water view but nothing to write home about. Upon arriving I was seated and immediately and handed a menu and drink menu. After placing my drink and food order, my drink was brought to me within 3 minutes. My appetizer was brought out within 10 minutes and my entire took 20 minutes to arrive. The wings presentation was nice, but overall, the taste was just okay at best. The blue cheese dressing was also a little thin and lacking in flavor. The French Quarter or Rasta Pasta, was quite bland and the sauce was somewhat watery. However the portion size was nice which I liked. After added salt and pepper to it, the pasta was quite editable. The interior of the place plenty of seating with deem lighting. The place wasn't packed but seemed to be have a handful of adults who may be regulars or those who just wanted to get out of the house. Overall this place won't wow you, but it's good enough that you don't mind coming back to have somewhere to go.

Yelp
Wow!!! This was the worst breakfast I've had in years. I ordered the breakfast omelette and requested hash browns with side of bacon. I was brought one slice of bacon that was cut in two to make it appear like two slices when in reality they brought an adult sized portion a one slice piece of bacon. The food was flavorless and my potato's came out cold. I asked to have them hot and the waitress took them and never returned with my order. We would not recommend returning here at all. Unless you simply want drinks. The drink was the only thing that was decent. All in all I would not recommend.

Yelp
My wife and I discovered this charming eatery location on Battlefield Blvd just North of the draw bridge. The atmosphere inside is cozy and relaxing. During the warmer months the outdoor seating is a must as the scenic beauty of the marina adds to the ambience. The food here is amazing as is the wait staff. Possible the best fish and chips I have had in a very long time. Especially when accompanied with their home made Remoulade sauce! Mmmmm My wife and I have returned several times and plan on to continually to return for a fantastic dinning experience.

Yelp
Standby folks! So we've been in Chesapeake since 2020. I've seen and driven by Lockside numerous times and for some reason just never put it on the "list." Probably due to the street side strip mall vibes... Here to tell you - stop by!! Stop by for the delicious food and the exceptional service annnd the hidden gem in the back... I can say this because we stopped for breakfast this morning - wifey was craving a breakfast burrito, which was delicious. We got the hashbrowns with it and they are super crispy and delicious. I mean crunchy! My daughter had just finished cross country practice, so wanted something small. She did the side "short stack" pancakes. They were $3.50 and rivaled the $16 pancakes from a recently opened Peake restaurant on Hillcrest. My daughter's friend got The American and was very happy. My wife and I cruised the back patio area because we couldn't sit back there when we checked in due to the pressure washing. They had finished while we were eating. What we find next is what makes this place great! The pictures we took don't due this place justice. The restaurant extends outside and then all the way down the waterfront where you come upon "The Backyard" their inside/outside bar with lots of bar seats, booths, outside seating, 2 fire pits with Adirondack's, glider rocker picnic tables, shuffleboard, bands on fri/sat. This place is a hidden gem overlooking the locks waterway with locally procured produce and seafood! A must stop and now our new favorite spot to stop! Beers on tap are cold and the bartenders are great! We had Jesse and Riley - they were very attentive and easy to talk to. Check out The Backyard ASAP! The views are awesome, with the beach decor and palm trees it really makes you think that you are not in Chesapeake.

Yelp
We recently had dinner at Lockside Bar and Grill located just before the Great Bridge Locks in the heart of Chesapeake. The atmosphere here is fantastic and the waterfront setting is amazing.

Mary R.

Yelp
My friend and I had a great lunch here today. Katelyn (no clue at all how it's actually spelled, sorry) took great care of us and made numerous suggestions! It was such a cute place with nice music and a beautiful view of the water. I was put off a little by some previous reviews but it's clear that people are more inclined to share bad experiences before good ones. I'll definitely revisit for burger night!

Yelp
Disappointing and just not good is really all you need to know. Service was spotty, we thought about just asking our waitress for her phone number so we could text her when we needed her because she was never around. Even when we asked the hosts for our waitress they couldn't find her, after waiting twenty minutes for a refill we went to the bar and she was helpful. We wouldn't have needed a refill so badly if the food had not been doused in salt. The flounder sandwich was breaded in salt alone. The burger was premade and flavorless. The jambalaya was fine. The beer battered mahi mahi was the best thing. The chicken nachos were gross. The sweet tea must have been brewed a week earlier. It makes sense why it was so dead on a Friday night. A potentially great location that was a total letdown.

Yelp
I was so excited to come visit this place that yelpers posted. The place is unassuming and nice looking at it from outside. We got in early for breakfast to meet up with good friends and we were seated right away and orders taken at a good time. The place is cozy, warm and easy on the eyes. So it's a pleasant feel to begin with. Orders came soon and the service was fast and efficient. Now the food was really good. They have some low carbs breakfast and good carb just for pleasure. We all inhaled it. The food I ordered was so good I ordered one to go. After eating we went to go to the back where there's seating to eat while watching boats and water activity. That was pleasant and calming. The breeze was easy so the heat was low. It's so nice out there. The place is clean and the tables are well distanced to go around. I really like this place and I plan to come back in the near future.

Yelp
I honestly feel that I just threw away 50 bucks on the worst food I was served in 10 years. I also threw way 20% to a server that was honestly to busy talking to the other staff members than serving us. We ordered a shrimp pasta dish, and a fish sandwich with fries. Pasta dish was horrible swimming in this weird fluid. It was more like old soup rather than a pasta dish. Shrimp was tiny frozen shrimp overcooked. I took 2 bites. The fish sandwich looked good, but absolutely no seasoning, very bland! French fries were ice cold. Just a terrible experience! The patio was I though going to be epic, but most of the plastic windows were down so it was very hot! Wouldn't recommend!

Yelp
Vibes- outdoor seating and bar was great. Nice breeze and beautiful views and space. Service- everyone we interacted with was helpful and friendly. Special shoutout to Tiffany who took great care of us. Drinks- got a glass of wine and Bloody Mary. My guest said it was the best bloody she's had in a while. Food- fries were good, mahi tacos needed more flavor, Maybe season the coleslaw and dish better. And the avocado salad was Fresh.

Yelp
We love Lockside. Food is always great (burger night is my favorite!) and service is top notch. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because several times we have come in for breakfast during the winter and it is absolutely freezing inside. Today-63 degrees. Eat fast if you want hot food!
google avatar

Olga B.

Yelp
Everything was just meh - Mediocre food, mediocre atmosphere inside ...we couldn't get a table outside. My shrimp and grits were too salty, and I only got it because they could not grill or blacken my fish - it only comes deep fried. The service was good though, and can't beat $5 wine and beer during their happy hour.
google avatar

Lynette J.

Yelp
Love that it's on the water so when the weather is right, you can enjoy eating outside watching the ducks and water. My favorite food is the stuffed avocados- one of a kind that I've never found elsewhere. If you frequent the place, it feels like "Cheers" where everyone knows your name (aka the service is very hospitable).

Yelp
We stopped by for an early dinner on 14 August. My wife had the salmon and risotto and I had the fried flounder, substituted side Caesar for the mashed potatoes. Atmosphere: have beachy - waterside joint, with a dose of sports bar and a tiny hint of elegance. Service: the star of the show. No wait at any stage. Greeted by the hostess as soon as we walked in, and seated immediately. Waitress showed up at the table within 60 seconds and took drink orders. She showed back up 2-3 minutes later with ice cold drinks. Obtw- $2.75 for a miller lite = #winning! Food: my wife loved the salmon. I'm from Louisiana and the courtbouillon is FOR REAL good. I really liked my flounder, and was glad I went with the salad. Good to great food, great service, dinner for 2 for $50. Glad we went!

Monte J.

Yelp
First things first service was not good. Waiter had us wait for an hour on food despite the lack of other people in the building. And the waitress was not apologetic nor took into account how long we waited for. The food was not good as well, I ordered French toast with sausage by the way I received bacon rather than what I actually ordered. The French Toast had strands of HAIR in it and the sausage was cold. Overall the place is a 1 out of 5 for me, very terrible service.

Jules T.

Yelp
My husband and I should've guessed that the place was sketchy when we stepped into an empty restaurant during prime dinner hour. The server--young lady with straight blond hair, didn't introduce herself--was indifferent and seemed more interested in talking with the staff at the bar than serving. Food was meh. Not worth the price. The entire ambiance was cold and lonely feeling. A real shame, it's a pretty-looking restaurant without a soul. We are relative newcomers to Chesapeake and we've been trying places that advertise good seafood--this ain't it. We won't try it again.

Dorothy K.

Yelp
For a restaurant with such a great location and friendly atmosphere. The breakfast American classic was awful. The hash browns must have been frozen and still had water in them cooked in oil so was a combination of water and oil. Eggs were good, bacon was not crispy but ok. The shrimp and grits were awful. More like soup. Since hash browns are included in several dishes one would think they would do them proper. And the two scrambled eggs must have been the tiniest eggs you can buy. I gave two stars for the atmosphere and service. I would not recommend or return.

Yelp
This is a great location with beautiful views especially at sunset. I've been coming here for years. Usually for brunch, which is my fav, but occasionally for dinner. I went last week when the weather was nice and wanted to sit outside. Unfortunately, there was no outside availability. We decided to stay and eat in. I got the fried flounder fish sandwich, which looked amazing. However, I was a bit disappointed. It tasted like a mix of flour and panko, with little to no seasoning, and had a very thick bready coating. I ate the fries, they were really good. I ate a third of the fish, after taking a lot of the batter off, and took the rest home. Needless to say I didn't eat the rest. I will try back when the weather is warmer.

Yelp
The Backyard area is a lot of fun. Relaxed atmosphere and decent service. The food was fantastic and they had a great band.

Yelp
I had brunch at Lockside for the first time. The weather has low 70s and perfect for outdoor seating. They have a beautiful outside seating area by the water. I ordered the western omelette with home fries and white bread. Their Western includes tomatoes but I removed it & added mushrooms. The omelette was so tasty and hearty. It arrived hot and was a good portion. Our waitress was super friendly and treated us well. My only con is that their card system went down, so it took a while for us to get our cards back. I was not in a rush as I was enjoying brunch with friends, but wanted to share. Hopefully this is not a common issue. I loved that their breakfast & lunch menu ran until 3PM! I was able to get this omelette at 2 PM haha. Breakfast running that lunch is rare, so I was really happy. I plan to come back!

Yelp
Lockside Bar and Grill, located in Chesapeake, is a great place for my weekend breakfast! Me and my fellow veteran friends from the US Navy, have been going here for the past year or so. We really enjoy the breakfast items with the steak and eggs being my go to, most favorite menu choice. I frequently order the steak and eggs-great choice-highly recommend! My go to recommendation is the steak. It's is an authentic, real piece of meaty goodness. The breakfast sides include toast, hash browns and home fries as a few options. I order the hash browns most days and white toast-the reason being is "because I always ask the wait staff --what is the healthiest toast? and they always reply with something healthy" but, then I still order White toast--it's my own little inside joke! They have a full menu for breakfast choices. A friend of mine often orders the crab omelette and a Bloody Mary beverage-they have a full bar. Plenty of tables for seating, with a nice ambiance. They offer both low and high tables for your convenience. The parking lot offers plenty of parking, as the restaurant is located in a strip mall. Plenty of open spaces and clean area. Just be aware of the bridge on Battlefield Blvd opens on the hour-every hour if you are coming from the east direction on Battlefield Blvd. They offer outdoor seating, it has a covered roof area and open deck with tables to sit. This provides you with great views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Clean bathrooms. Great wait staff. Delicious food! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Little cute spot in Chesapeake. Fast service and food was okay. I ordered steak and eggs and ordered my steak medium but came well done. But the strawberry mimosa was delicious.

Yelp
Went to Lockside Bar and Grill on a whim with a group of friends. It was a nice experience and we appreciated the hospitality. The server recommended the Scallops Rockefeller which came out to me warm, creamy , and flavorful. I believe it was on a bed of mashed potatoes. The elements of the dish came together nicely. Parking was easy, restaurant wasn't too full, ambiance gave a quiet vibe with dimmed lighting . The restaurant is by water, so I think it would be nice to come back when the weather is warmer. This isn't my first time here, and being completely honest, Lockside has a different vibe and food quality on weekends when it's busier. Service does requires more patience and time. I would recommend coming on a week night. I appreciate my meal at Lockside !

Yelp
The first time I went to Lockside was Friday, Aug 16th. for my birthday weekend. I had dinner and it was good. I found out they had breakfast and took my boyfriend to a birthday breakfast. This was Sun. Aug 25th. I ordered the Lockside Benedict. Crab cakes poached eggs on top of English muffins with hollandaise sauce. It sounds amazing, but sadly, it was not. Those were not crabcakes. They were either catfood cakes or tuna. Definitely not Crab. I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend had the steak and eggs. It was ok, but I couldn't understand why we had to ask for condiments like salt, pepper, steak sauce, ketchup, etc.. but the table right behind us who I overheard had ordered almost the same thing we did but that couple didn't have to ask for anything . I don't think I'll be returning to Lockside bar & grill. I give this restaurant 2 stars after this experience
google avatar

Mary R.

Yelp
Food was amazing! May I suggest going in early and/or making reservations. If you want to guarantee an outdoor table area then I would recommend making reservations. Their outdoor area definitely feels like you're in a different place! Palm trees, water and fire! They have a large Jenga and connect four. They also have Cornhole. Perfect place to have your kids run around They have an outdoor bar area as well as an inside. They do get pretty busy so please be patient with the amazing staff. They have coloring pages and crayons available for kids. Plenty of parking area. Happy hour? Sure why not! They have a wine list, beer list and other libations available.

Yelp
I am appalled at the food that came out today. We have gone there several times and it is typical bar food. Greasy and edible. Today, it was beyond terrible. They were out of most of the food because of a "party" in the back and what did come out was barely edible. Barely. The server was decent but after 20+ minutes, we got a server that wasn't even our server. Took us an hour and a half to get our food/eat. Not only that, for an appetizer, two dishes, a desert... 120 is the bill. Never again will we go there.

George N.

Yelp
One of our favorite spots where you can count on good service and great food. Great location to sit outside in the summer. Monday night is burger night for fantastic burgers. Love the flounder sandwiches. Lots it food and seating options to suit your mood.

Falecia P.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our wedding anniversary. We had a reservation for one of the swinging tables, next to the water. We were seated right away and our waitress came to our table in just a few short moments. We loved the view of the water and how chill and relaxing the setting of the patio was. I remember thinking the table could have been a bit cleaner, but the food and service was pretty great. Overall a good experience.

Bridgette M.

Yelp
SKIP THE TACOS!! We ordered the Mahi and Avocado tacos which consisted of layers of watery cabbage first to make the shell soggy and pour out with every bite, watery flavorless finely chopped tomatoes, then the avocado / fried mahi pieces spilling over the top. We were looking for a casual lunch by the water for the first sunny day in awhile. Sitting outside, the tables are so wide you're very far apart from whoever you came with, the parties that chose to talk over the incredibly loud 80s music above are basically yelling at each other making the vibe feel chaotic and obnoxious. Wait staff could benefit from professionalism training. Clean up staff just dumps leftover drinks into the water below.

Yelp
I really enjoy to try new places in my area. Yelp always help. I arrived in this place for the first time for breakfast. It was a quiet place for a rainy Friday morning. Service was amazing. I am a big fans of sea food and their Lockside Benedict is perfect. Pancakes very taste. Mimosas with pineapple enjoyable. I back again with a group of friends. They enjoyed their steak and eggs. My review with 4 stars is because I think the waitress can be more presented in our table.
google avatar

Kristina R.

Yelp
We stopped by for a light lunch, only ordered oysters and water, but it was delicious. We tried the raw and baked oysters, only about $10-11 each plate for six oysters each. Darian was our waitress and she was incredibly nice and helpful, definitely went out of her way to make sure we had a great lunch. The pier is a really nice spot to sit, but there were dandelion-type fuzz all throughout the air, getting into absolutely everything. Not the restaurant's fault at all, it was just kinda annoying having to cover our drinks and food.

L M.

Yelp
Everyone was nice and it was very clean. But the food was just average, would not go here again. They need to change their menu and cook otherwise cool location

Jason O.

Yelp
Service: Hostess staff - yes it is a staff - of several bored young ladies. I made the mistake of asking for a table after following my silent, stone-faced hostess to a booth. I got the exasperated eye roll in response, but she did lead us to a table before tossing down a pair of menus and rushing back to her phone. Food: The Lockside Giant Burrito was about the size of a large egg roll. Had to sent it back on principle. They took my little burrito away & offered to take it off the bill, but I would have preferred some acknowledgment. Are all the Giant burritos tiny? Is the baby burrito just a popular prank that I am unaware of? Couldn't you just ask the cook to make one bigger, like the menu describes? I'll never know. This place could be and kind of seems like it wants to be good; it just isn't.
google avatar

Matt E.

Yelp
Today we went to brunch and had the breakfast burrito and hashbrowns. Burrito was really good but hash browns were lack-luster. Service was with Tiffany who was great and definitely better today than our previous visits so overall good visit this time.

Yelp
Have always rode by it and it's always busy. Finally decided to stop in and give it a try. Pleasantly surprised. Food was decent. Breakfast available in the afternoon is always a plus for me. Bigger inside than i thought with waterside / views dining and a large bar / outside area in the back. First place I've been in several years that was adequately staffed so there was plenty of attention when the drinks were running low. I will def go back from time to time for some peaceful canal side enjoyment.

Lisa N.

Yelp
Went there last summer and it was decent . Went back 5/2024 Not good . Food was salty and dry Mashed potatoes watery . Better fish at captain d's . Won't be back .

Yelp
When you first walk up to the establishment it may look deceiving but the patio/outside view is beautiful. It was a nice 80 degree day so the weather was great and the cocktails were good. That's it.

Duke D.

Yelp
THE FOOD IS SO YUMMY!! Amazing ambiance they have a super nice and luxurious inside, but on the outside swinging tables so much fun and music! Staff and Service is always great

Yelp
Major compliments to the chef. The ranch here is out of this world‼ it has the perfect amount of sweetness and tanginess that I look for in a good ranch. It's especially good with an order of fries‼ my god order the ranch.

Yelp
Went today for lunch and discovered there would be a 45 minute wait for food. We decided to wait for a table to be able to try their food. We were seated outside in a glider table on the patio. Absolutely lovely view of the water. It was a beautiful day to eat outside. We were waited on by a nice young lady named Carly. She was quite helpful and friendly. I ordered the Eye Opener and my friend ordered the steak and eggs. Our food arrived fairly quickly. The eye opener was alright. Nothing super special. The tomato was very raw still even though it was cooked on a grill. The texture was unpleasant. I got it with the home fries which were not very well cooked. All in all a very unmemorable meal. His steak was cooked to the medium he order and he enjoyed it. But the service was very nice.

Yelp
We sat outside at Lockside and enjoyed it. The menu is decently varied and the mixed drinks are strong and fairly priced. Service was good and friendly. Definitely recommend making a stop here if you haven't!

Yelp
Date night on this Friday night brought us here. We ordered drinks and dinner. Service was great and the food was amazing!!!! They have glider picnic tables but on a Friday night very hard to get one. This night was so mild in temperature we sat at their outdoor bar and it was very comfortable, full menu available outside too! They even had a live band, we had a great evening!!!!

Yelp
We came here for late dinner at 9ish pm. We were seated right away. We didn't know there are swing sets that u can sit on to eat! That was nice because it's nearby water- we couldn't see the water because it was late in the evening. We had calamari, crab dip, and avocado salad (it was delicious) plus a couple of flounders entrees! My son had fish and chips - he usually gets fish and chips when it's on the menu! All the food we ordered was yummy-O!! We will come back during the day so we can see a better view of the water.

I took a friend from out of town to breakfast on 10/16/2024. I've never been to Lockside for breakfast, but I had lunch there many moons ago. I ordered the Western Omelette, and my friend had the Seafood Omelette. Both were excellent and I will return.

Yelp
The service was fantastic! Definitely first rate. If only the patty melt was as good as the service. I hadn't had one in years, so I was looking forward to that treat. The rye bread was fairly bland, maybe a better rye would have helped. The cheese was really rubbery & didn't have much taste. The burger itself was also bland. I didn't really expect the world, but I did expect more flavor. The rest of my party enjoyed their food so if we go again I'll be sure to try something other than the patty melt.
