The Best Croissants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"With three locations across the city, Lodge Bread maintains a formidable baked goods hold on Los Angeles. Though the bakery produces breakfast and lunch favorites, sandwiches, and a dazzling smoked fish plate, the croissants are outstanding. The Woodland Hills location offers an especially nice patio for enjoying coffee and croissants under the sun." - Rebecca Roland

We had a fantastic breakfast here! Everything we ordered was delicious. The cinnamon roll was absolutely massive and hands down the best I’ve ever had. Soft, gooey, and full of cinnamon flavor. The lattes were also great, made with high-quality coffee and perfectly balanced. I had a breakfast sandwich that was tasty and satisfying, though it needed a little kick, which was easily fixed with some hot sauce. Great spot overall with quality food and a cozy vibe. Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!

Google
The place had a nice vibe with plenty of outdoor seating. The service was ok, could’ve been better if the waiter had been a bit friendlier. That said, the coffee was good, and I really enjoyed the lox sandwich.

Google
Today I ordered avocado toast, and asked for it to be cut. It was just barely toasted and cut down the middle longways, which made it really messy and impossible to eat. The avocado layer was so thick that the (untoasted) bread could not handle the weight and it was sour with lemon. I was REALLY disappointed for $20 (including tip).

Google
I always get this place delivered. The shakshuka though...it's incredible. The tomato sauce is so tart and salty and flavorful. The runny eggs are always cooked perfectly. The spices and aromatic flavors make this dish addictive. Classy little drizzle of olive oil and herbs. But don't forget the bread. So chewy and soft! Omg it's amazing. First thing I do when I land in LA and head to my office, I order one of these. It's a big portion, I never eat it in one sitting. But it reheats well. I wish I could say more about the rest of the items on the menu, but I've never made it past the shakshuka.

Found a new weekend brunch spot. Fresh out of the oven is an understatement for this location. Each meal is fresh, and the mint lemonade will pucker your cheeks together. I had the "Breakfast," and my guest had the strawberry oatmeal. We tried a couple of other breads and was not disappointed. I give this place two 👍 👍 thumbs up and highly recommend for Saturday or Sunday brunch with friend, partner, or spouse. Meals average $15-$20 per item, drinks $4-$7. Once you order, expect about 8-10 a minute wait time. But well worth it once you take a bite. Small order line area, so if 3 or more in the party, I recommend grabbing a menu and having everyone decide prior to arriving to the register. Parking for all the businesses at this location does require you to scan a barcode on your phone and prefilled cell phone, address, and payment method. On Sunday, Parking is free on the street, and this location does offer parking validation. Overall outstanding location all the way around. Food, service and outside tables offer an amazing atmosphere.

Google
Lodge Bread Company never disappoints! Today Holly and I got the Breakfast Sammie, avocado toast, orange juice and coffee. The Sammie was thick, edge-to-edge with its delicious contents, thick flavorful bacon, tons of eggs and all the extras, and the bread was flaky and tasty, a perfect combination. The avocado toast is slathered think with fresh avocado and a ton of flavor. Coffee was coffee as most is, but good all the same. The orange juice is 100% fresh squeezed, delicious as ever. There is a ton of seating in the courtyard. Hopefully they’ll allow us to do a video there soon!

Google
Lodge Bread Company provides excellent service and serves incredibly fresh food. Their shakshuka is the best around, and they offer a wide variety of bread and breakfast options. A must-visit for bread and breakfast lovers!

Google
Best sourdough croissant I have ever tasted! Ordered avocado toast and a breakfast sammie, had the croissant and chocolate cookie to go. They didn't even make it out their parking lot they were soo good.

Yelp
I took way too long to check out Lodge Bread. I'm told it's pronounced "low-dge" but I forgot to ask an employee. Oh well. Next time. I went, specifically, to try the shakshuka because I've been hearing for a couple years that it's spectacular. Honestly, I haven't had many shakshukas to compare it to, but this was really delicious. The eggs were just a tad overcooked with the top being a wee bit overcooked crunchy, but the flavor was great and the fresh baked bread to dip... well, that's the selling point. I'd be super happy with bread and a bowl of that sauce to dip it into. My daughter said the sauce was too sweet for her taste, but again, we're not shakshuka connoisseurs. At the end of the day, I suppose it's whatever you like. I liked it a lot and would definitely get it again. I ordered a croissant to go and they gave it to me for free because it was the last one. Woohoo! Lucky me. It was a really good croissant. There were so many bakery items I would have loved to try, but my pants were like, "You'd better not." FYI, there is only outdoor seating and it's not glamorous. It's basic patio seating next to the parking lot. The bakery and kitchen where you order are just a tiny walk-up counter. Also, the parking lot pay system is a little annoying as you have to do it on a smart phone. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes and treats!

Yelp
First visit was impressive. The food was exceptional, with shakshuka and a breakfast sammie as the objects of our desire. A cardamom roll also provides delight, in place of a butter croissant of which they had run out. Lovely environment with tables outside on a patio. Seats can be a bit tough, but we snagged the one available set and then a better set a bit later. Cafe Americano never seems as good as brewed coffee, so this was a bit of a disappointment. But I had a lo cal bubbly drink that was outstanding. Price? Well it was a $60 breakfast for two, definitely in the pricey category. But the food was so high quality, I'll happily pay that periodically. Service was attentive, even though this is an order at the counter place. Definitely a great find.

Yelp
The focaccia turkey pesto sandwich is delicious. It was recommended to me by Gen (her name was not June lol). the bread was light, fresh, and overall a scrumptious sandwich. Gen welcomed me in again with so much love and we had another great conversation. She's a gem, I love her energy and presence. She helped me figure out which bread to purchase, I got the cracked pepper and cheese. It smells so good. I believe she is fit to be a manager or supervisor one day. The rest of the team was so kind, friendly, and fun! The kitchen was very clean and well maintained. I am really glad I found this place. I'll continue to recommend this bakery and bring friends along. 10/10 experience again. Open more locations!

Yelp
I would like to lodge a compliment for this eatery. This is a very exciting bakery that makes delicious sandwiches. The sandwiches are huge albeit with a lot of lettuce. We recently ordered a turkey sandwich and veggie sandwich with a double chocolate chip cookie and oat cookie. Food is great here. Service is fast and friendly. You stand in line and order. They have online ordering too. They have other locations over the hill. The downsides here are limited seating outdoors only and the weird parking situation. Parking requires you to scan a QR code and enter payment and then get validation. But there's no one to help in the parking lot. For the high end businesses, they should just hire a parking lot attendant or security guard. I'm not playing with my phone when I'm quickly picking up food in this center. Lodge is really good though.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this bakery after numerous recommendations, and I finally had the opportunity to stop by. I ordered a vanilla latte, a morning bun and a sourdough butter croissant for my daughter. We sat outside in the peaceful patio area. Oh. My. Goodness. The morning bun is HEAVEN. It's a crispy, flaky, sugared croissant-like explosion. My latte was absolutely perfect.. I just wish it came in a larger size! They offer a variety of delectable baked goods... artisanal breads, pastries, toasts, spreads, and drinks. Keep in mind that the parking is free for the first 15 min, but Lodge Bread has a QR code you can scan at the register which validates your parking for up to 90 minutes. Do yourself a favor, and give them a try!

Yelp
Such a great environment, lots of outdoor seating to pick from. Line wasn't long to order at all, was super quick and easy. They even cover your parking which was a win. The coffee cake and berry scone were super good and very fresh!

Yelp
The best breakfast place in the area! I think I've had almost everything on the menu by now and there's never been a disappointment. The bread is out of this world. So are the pastries. Oh, and I love their delicious ice tea.

Yelp
Stopped by 3:40 to purchase a snack and coffee. It was right before closing and I missed all the goodies. They had a few slices of pumpkin cake and a chocolate croissant. So I got the croissant and enjoyed it much. Great service as always. Love stopping by when in the area. Great food Great ambiance Great customer service.

Yelp
Tried the so called famous pastrami sandwich this weekend and was a bit underwhelmed. I thought this was open-faced but some reason it came like a regular sandwich. The two pickle spears are very good and I love the light coleslaw and thousand island style Russian dressing on the toasted ancient green bread. The havarti cheese is very good as well. The pastrami while smoked to perfection is almost as thick as a steak for the life of me I cannot understand why they don't slice these deli meats at certain places ultra thin which is the way they should all be. Won't eat it again for 23 bucks I can get a monster sub with paper thin loaded pastrami at Dan's subs for a few bucks less and much better tasting. It was okay just not worth trying again. They're also a bit disorganized upon opening took about 20 minutes for my order to be done and I was first in line waiting with the other losers in line behind me with nothing better to do on a Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. and I had to flag down the order taker to see what was going on with my sandwich just to get it done in the aforementionsled 20 minutes anyways I will just stick to the bread from now on. Tip on Sunday mornings if you come at 8:00 a.m. there's a line of about 25 people out the door. If you come at 8:45 pretty much everyone is gone LOL. Can u say...bread junkies?

Yelp
DO NOT SLEEP ON THEIR CHALLAH OR CINNAMON ROLL!! Their name has bread in it, so you have to get their pastries to try! Their cinnamon roll is MASSIVE, but it's 100% worth the money and can be shared with at least 4 people. It comes with an amazing orange zest (and I don't even like orange zest) frosting that it die for. I order their Challah's often as well and let me tell you, it's also worth the price. They are sourdough and soft yet crunchy, sweet, yet savory. It is amazing. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food great customer service. To go items are all delicious. Haven't had a bite there and I've been going for years. Manager Eric knows how to run a restaurant. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

Yelp
First, let me just say So I went here over the weekend for the first time in years. Shaqshuka? Cool! Ate it? Yes. Delicious? Mhm, yea baby! Also, one strawberry scone for me and one chocolate swirl for my lady (yes, I have a girlfriend now.). One vanilla latte for me and one orange juice for my lady. Forgot to take photos, sorry. Scarf'd it down too speedy. Strawberry Scone: 8.5/10 - nice & moist, could've been crispier, too much sugar on top. Chocolate Swirl: 8/10 - delicious but messy Shaqshuka: 9.2/10 Vanilla latte: 6/10 - Not much coffee flav, too much vanilla flav. Blue bottle better. Orange juice: 7/10 - looked better than it tasted. Expensive. Ambiance was nice. Lots of "cool" and "hip" young people walking around. Saw one girl who looked just like Kim Possible (a character from a show my girlfriend used to watch a couple years ago!) Thanks! Jordan McBenson

Yelp
Stopped by Lodge Bread in Woodland Hills for a yummy week-end breakfast, and quite glad I did! Lodge Bread is on Ventura Blvd, near HQ Gastropub. It's a busy street, but the plaza itself is quiet. Actually, half the plaza is empty right now... parking and shops, I mean. The little eatery is situated in the far back of the plaza with ample parking, but mind the validation requirements! You'll need to scan a QR code at one of the businesses around this block and enter your license plate info to be able to park in this lot. I got the Lox Toast and it was good, not great, and not something I would get again. About $15 for the toast, shareable by two or even three. Generous amount of salmon. The hero of the meal was the iced vanilla oat latte, though it was minuscule for the price. It was SO good, regardless. The ambiance of the place is cute, hipster/laidback, and pricey. Blue Bottle is two doors down, but I would much rather come here for the vibe and drinks. Service was polite and friendly - icing on the cake!
google avatar

Ericka K.

Yelp
Great coffee, bread, pastries. Hitting all the right notes for a brunch bakery. Location next to blue bottle is convenient too in case we want to also stop there. Service is great and fast. It's never too crowded. There's an outside dining with plenty of tables.
google avatar

Margaret C.

Yelp
The sourdough bread was amazing though pretty expensive (I paid $14 for a loaf of bread). We also ordered baked eggs (I think it was overpriced because of the size of the portion; it was pretty small) and shakshuka was both pretty spicy and sweet. I like my homemade option more :) I liked people working there - everyone was friendly and nice. I'll be back if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Maral C.

Yelp
The atmosphere at Woodland Hills location is great. Perfect outdoor seating, so peaceful and relaxing. The staff are sweet and friendly. I ordered Shakshuka, and to my delight they served it with their country bread! I had previously bought a loaf from them and LOVED it! The perfect combination of crusty exterior and fluffy interior, it was an ideal accompaniment to the flavorful Shakshuka. Shakshuka had a slight kick to it which added an exciting element to the dish. At first the portion size may seem small but it's perfect for sharing. Especially if you want yo have their delicious almond too!
google avatar

Ivan K.

Yelp
The food is delicious but the portions were rather small. Lots of bread slices though! I bought one loaf of bread for my family and they absolutely loved it. Everyone at the bakery was nice and helpful. I'll be back for the bread!
google avatar

Johana H.

Yelp
I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. Super delicious! It is overpriced though. If it was the most $12 I'd go back and get it often. Quality and fresh? Yes but not worth almost $17. Add a side of potatoes and maybe I'd think it's worth it. The outdoor seating is really nice and peaceful and clean. Plenty of parking since it's situated in a plaza. The service was nice and fast. I'll be back to try their coffee.
google avatar

Victoria P.

Yelp
All good things must come to an end (I guess). Have been a long time customer and enjoyed their bread so much. Over the past couple of years, quality has dramatically decreased. It would take about a week to eat a loaf of bread and over that period of time it would simply harden, which is what all natural bread is supposed to do. Last three purchases after three days it started growing mold. Incredibly sad that this is the case now.
google avatar

Yelp
SECOND VISIT: I just tried this place again to give them another chance. DON'T BOTHER. The employees don't seem like they want to be there. I waited almost 20 min for the toast with ricotta and jam, even though the place was 2/3 empty and no one was in line before me. The server brought my order out and placed it directly into a puddle of sauce and food that someone never cleaned off the table. (Most of the tables were dirty.) Then she wasn't very nice when I asked for a bag that wasn't covered in someone else's food spillage. (Sorry Young Lady, I didn't feel like dragging someone else's Shakshuka sauce all over the inside of my car.) And the ricotta jam toast ended up being mediocre. Sadly, I don't think I'll be giving this place another try. FIRST VISIT: The chai latte was absolutely delicious and one of the best I've had, but it was SO SMALL! The cinnamon roll was huge, but over-baked, dry and really disappointing. The mushroom focaccia was tasty, but I don't know if I would pay these prices again for what you get. I hear so many people raving about this place...did I go on an off day?
google avatar

Suhaili S.

Yelp
This place has the best fresssh salads! The wait can be a smidge long when there's a lot of people but definitely worth it!
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
The bread here is outstanding! Coming from Germany I'm very picky when it comes to bread and large bread certainly delivered! Very friendly service, great selection. Prices are a bit high, but considering the quality of their product as well worth the splurge. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Al Z.

Yelp
To be fair....yes the bread is very good. At the Woodland Hills location today, a $12 loaf of bread, high but yes the bread IS good. Thennnnnnnn a 16oz $5 bottle of Mexican Coke (?!?!), and then the most ridiculous hurdle to park in the lot, which requires you to register with yet another company that is going to sell your data, have access to your credit card data, expose you to their almost certainly less than adequate security measures with your data, and then perhaps use that info to track you, (unknown and that's the point), oh please..... The epitome of pseudo nouveau rich LA entitled posing BS, not very damn likely I'll be back. And to be fair, (since I don't like being ripped off), I don't think I'm their target customer anyway. Oh, and that parking lot is full of all these super high-end cars with the most ridiculously entitled posing a-holes driving around... Can't get away from that garbage fast enough.
google avatar

Jesse A.

Yelp
We stumbled into Lodge Bread initially looking for Blue Bottle cafe and were surprised to see that this place had replaced it. Upon walking into the cafe you can smell the delicious bread that's baked fresh every morning. My friend and I both ordered the breakfast sandwich and an iced vanilla late. We ordered the sandwich with spicy mayo and it was INCREDIBLE! The vanilla late was great as well, however I do wish that it tasted a little less syrupy. The server also let us know that they have a homemade salsa that they package in bottle and sell, which we are definitely gonna be trying when we visit again. This will definitely be our go to breakfast spot for the area! Overall 10/10 would recommend!
google avatar

Sue k.

Yelp
I enjoy coming by to enjoy my afternoon Matcha, with the occasional croissant or grabbing some delicious Rye bread for the house. Fantastic Bread. Lines may be long because it's popular!
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Beware of terrible parking at this location. You have to register to some app and scan a QR code for validation in the restaurant. The staff will not remind you to scan the validation or the QR code and will refuse to give you the QR code after your visit. In addition to the terrible parking the sourdough cinnamon roll was dry.

Yelp
Nice place. Good breakfast and brunch. I go here sometimes. The food is expensive too. But

Yelp
Driving up the 101, I stopped by for a coffee and a pastry. I ended buying a loaf of bread. I had a vanilla latte and a coffee cake. Both were delicious and tasty. The have a huge cinnamon roll I will must try the next time I drive by. I brought the bread home and enjoyed it. This place is great. Good service. Very friendly and helpful. Lots of outside seating. Great place for a coffee.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh veggie sandwich. Simple, fresh, healthy, crispy, soft... delish! Small inside, multiple tables outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Food is great. Great place to break bread ;) I've been to this place twice. The only thing I didn't like was the parking but that's LA

Yelp
TLDR: Sky high prices, weak and flimsy coffee lids. You may buy coffee but get an unexpected side of a spill! I generally don't mind high prices for high quality but the lid left me quite a mess... Caution: Lids are weak, hot coffee may spill in car! - - - - - - I've walked by Lodge a few times on the way to Blue Bottle but never ventured inside; I considered getting lunch here while dropping off a package at the UPS store around the corner. For starters, the menu isn't easy to see; you really only see it at the cash register. I looked on Yelp, and the prices were outrageously high for a small sandwich which drove me away. I decided to sample an affordable drip coffee. The staff were friendly, and they even asked if I wanted milk or creamer with that to which I politely declined. The drip coffee was dark, though subtly sour and not too pleasant. On the way out and to work, I tried to take a sip, and it ended up spilling... the lid was ineffective, and I ended up going to work with coffee stains on my clothes - yuck! I had thoughts of returning in the future, but after that experience, I'm quite hesitant not only because of the price but because of the anxiety I would get at having to trust a deforming plastic excuse of a lid.

Yelp
Alex and Ori I have a question... how greedy are you?!? As a New Yorker, Paying $34 for a bagel and water is criminally offensive These people must be smoked out. I ordered a bagel with some avocado on top. The employee said "I have to charge you for an avocado toast and also for a bagel" Ummm. Why? I don't want an avocado toast. I want a bagel with some sliced up avocado on top. Not to mention, the bagel ALONE cost $8. $8 for a day old bagel. Plus an additional $25 dollars for the avocado topping? Not to mention, I opened the box to find HALF A BAGEL. I paid $34 for a bottle of water and half a bagel with some smashed avocado on top. Why did i have to pay for avocado toast AND a bagel? It's not like I received an order of avocado toast and a bagel separately on the side. Really mind boggling to me. Not to mention the "bagel" was literally a piece of bread with sesame seeds on it and was burnt to a char on top. I took one bite and threw the whole $34 slice of bread straight in the trash.
google avatar

Charlene D.

Yelp
Jambon Beurre. Great sandwich, stacked with ham, bread was fresh and toasty! It was HUGE! Chai latte was tasty. Two reasons for 4 starts - 1) it was a bit pricey for what it is and 2) I got my latte long after my sandwich was brought to my table. I was hoping to drink my latte before eating my sandwich instead of WITH my sandwich.

Snow L.

Yelp
Outdoor sitting. Food is good and fresh. It is not cheap and healthy choices are available. I make better sourdough myself, so I might feel the bread is not as flavorful and moist as homemade.
google avatar

Ilan T.

Yelp
One star only for the tuna salad!!! This place needs an evaluation of management skills, more than six people were working inside, stamping bags, chatting and laughing, while the line is piling up. Upon arriving to the cashier that I could barely hear what she has to say, and I ask her to speak up and still couldn't understand a word of what she said just to tell me that they are not selling any bread five times. !!! Waste of time waiting in line !!!

Brooke B.

Yelp
Amazing underrated place ! I absolutely love their coffee and pastries ! The atmosphere is awesome
google avatar

Natalia M.

Yelp
So many options to choose from. We got the breakfast sandwich, cinnamon sugar toast, and we got pizza dough to go. reasonably priced spot for the amount of food that you get. Pasties are fresh and large! Lots of outdoor seating, it's a busy spot so it most likely will have a line but it's worth it. excited to come back here and try more items.
google avatar

Joey G.

Yelp
Delicious bread! I love the unique choices for bread here. I recommend the sourdough challah. The challah loaf had a beautiful balance between sourness & sweetness. Additionally, the sesame seeds on the loaf were a nice touch. The bread was well baked, it had great springiness and a nice crumb. The bread pudding was not too sweet and it had a spongy texture that I really enjoyed. My second recommendation is their sourdough croissants. The croissant was well laminated. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This is the first time I have tried a sourdough croissant and their sourdough starter tastes fantastic. They have onsite parking and places to sit outside. The staff is friendly. I would come back!
google avatar

Francisco L.

Yelp
second time I visit this place. I love their bread but the eggs items for breakfast have been disappointing today, we ordered three Shatshuka dishes. The sauce was tasty but the eggs were as hard as rubber. We told the attendant and said that that's how "they come". She did offer to cook just an egg per person over easy; it was too late; we were full on bread and sauce. We paid $55.00 for breakfast with rubbery eggs.
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
We went here for breakfast last week. I had avocado toast. The avocado was delicious but the bread was not toasted enough. I asked for some butter and I was charged $2. I mean really for butter? We also had the toast and jam which was good. We ate outside on the patio which was nice.
google avatar

Ali A.

Yelp
4-5 stars for food. 1 start for the terrible attitude of nearly all of the employees. I've come here a couple of times and have sent dozens of friends here. I certainly will not be sending anyone else here. I ordered an Avo Toast with an egg and a latte. Latte came out in 2 min. 20 min later I still didn't have my toast so I went in to task. A 20 something year old with a arrogant entitled attitude as you'd expect was at the register. I said I was waiting for my order which I could see sitting there in a open box. She goes over and sees there is no egg so she asks a lady in the kitchen to add the egg. A few min later I see the cook struggling with the egg. They close the box and have a discussion I couldn't hear. Without a thanks, an apology or a smile I had my bag handed to me. When I open the box in my car to see what they were struggling with I see the egg was just tossed into the box without being placed on the toast. Also when someone orders to go include or ask if they want utensils and napkins. None was included. Whatever with the food. But it's obvious from other reviews that the crap attitude of these employees come from top down. Crap owners hire crap manager who hire crap employees. So sad to have the great food ruined by careless employees and managers. Stop being jerks to your customers!
google avatar

Andrea O.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this charming bakery and it's become my go-to spot for breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches are so flavorful, I got mine with the spicy mayo. Also the vanilla lattes with oat milk are a MUST. One of the employees also let us know that they have a special homemade salsa, but I didn't get to try that on my visit. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make each visit a treat - a hidden gem worth visiting!
google avatar

Tim T.

Yelp
First and to start things off Unfortunately the Coffee was an offensive abomination, the chai latte was way too sweet. Perhaps I am judging harshly because I never send anything back but on this occasion I had to exchange the coffee for tea. The tea was the best thing they had. BLT was nothing to write home about. Bacon had very heavy greasy smell and taste and not edible. Bread was hard like rubber. Also Please show some care in drying the bacon out first. Bread soaked in bacon grease and burned if not charred lettuce. Tomato had zero taste. GMO anyone??? Shakshuka was way too sweet and sugary and the cups and silverware smelled like rotten eggs. They need to put some more thought into this spot. It could be so much better.

Yelp
Finally decided to come here to pick up a baguette and eat a pastrami sandwich. Total cost including a mint lemonade was $32.81. First off, the pastrami was $19 and it wasn't a big sandwich either. The sandwich was pretty good, a bit salty though. But it was not worth $19. The mint lemonade at $5 for about 6-8 ounces is ridiculous. It tasted like it came from a minute maid fountain with mint syrup. It was not fresh. The french baguette was dense and not as light/airy as I thought it would be. If you've ever had a baguette at Costco, you will know what I'm talking about. In all honesty, I would love to give this place another shot to earn my business, but I can't justify the $7.59 ($6 for 30 min + $.60 Tax + $.99 Service Fee). I've been here before and there was never a charge for parking then. The parking lot was pretty empty and I did not see any signs indicating that there was a charge to park here. I cannot believe this shopping plaza is able to get away with this. It's ridiculous for them to be charing any parking fees. I am not blaming Lodge Bread for this as they have no control. But just realize going in, you will have to pay a parking fee. Best thing to do is to park on the street if there's an open spot.

Yelp
Everything looks amazing. I had been here a long time ago, I barely remember what we had but must've been good enough to come back. I got a baguette and cinnamon roll. I keep hearing how incredible they are. "OMG it's huge!" Yes, the cinnamon roll is giant and they give you a nice large icing on the side...or so I thought. I get home and warm up the cinnamon roll, open the icing and it is freaking whipped cream with visible orange zest and powdered sugar. Homemade yum, BUT not icing like a cinnamon roll you anticipated. I tried to keep on with it, but this is not a real cinnamon roll. This is bread with a little cinnamon on the top only. I don't like things that are too sweet but this was straight up bread with whip cream. I'm still bummed. The baguette and most their loaves are also a little too dark crust for my taste. The baguette was barely chewable in the first place, by next day a crouton. $20 for the cinnamon roll I threw away and the baguette.

Yelp
Take it or leave it. I think this place is over hyped. What they call sourdough tastes very yeasty to me, because it doesn't have a "soured dough" flavor or consistency. Yes, I'll agree that they probably do ferment their dough. But I think there's some nuclear reactor yeast action going on in there with fleischmann's, or whatever brand of yeast they use. What I'm trying to say is, in my personal opinion, I don't feel like this process of their sourdough is completely authentic. I think they're spiking their dough with regular yeast to make it rise more, and be more airy.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest, I was looking for Blue Bottle Coffee when I stumbled in there. However, as soon as I popped my head in, I was greeted with genuine kindness. The man at the register said hello with a big smile and asked us to grab him if we had any questions. His name was JARED I asked him where Blue Bottle Coffee was and could practically feel the look of disappointment that he felt after I asked. He was still happy to point me in the right direction with a smile. But you know what, after he greeted me so kindly and the environment was so cute and welcoming, I couldn't leave. As soon as we ordered, he gave us a pumpkin bread slice ON THE HOUSE!! We hung out and enjoyed our coffees and snacks outside in the cool breeze. I never found Blue Bottle and I simply didn't care to after even one minute inside this lovely coffee shop :)

Yelp
Inedible hippie bread and a boring, old-school cooking style. With good bakeries in the area, it's best to stay away from this place.

Yelp
Yummy! The cinnamon roll is huge and can feed 5-6. The egg-n-cheese was delicious. Our only complaint is that they forgot to put the mayo on it and the egg was suppose to be over medium and it was over-hard. That was a bit disappointing. Cute environment and friendly staff.

Yelp
Find this place through Yelp Great bread freshly made. Started this meal with cold refreshing orange juice till my shaksuka arrived. Really great taste and everything just so fresh and clean. Service was good as well. Very informative (it was my first time there) Great place for breakfast and great vibe to sit outside in the sun and enjoy great meal.
