"Near a string of divey, classic American bars on Michigan St, Logan’s Alley has all the features of a neighborhood pub--over 200 choices on their beer list, a great bottle selection, free popcorn (with nacho cheese, ranch, and white cheddar seasoning), bar food (think tater tots and burgers) and lotto games at each table. If you'll be in the city for a while, sign up for Logan's Mug Club - drink every beer they have and get your name on the wall (note: this can take years). Logan’s is unassuming, what you see is what you get. In the summer, the back patio is an added benefit - and it's usually crowded with Logan's-sponsored teams from the local adult softball and soccer leagues." - CreativeMornings Grand Rapids

Google
Logan’s Alley has a nice, convivial atmosphere and a pretty long tap list. The staff was friendly and the bar was comfortable. I had a very nice beer from an out-of-state brewery, and the side of fries was delicious. The fries reminded me of McDonald’s in the best possible way. I’ll definitely come back to this bar.

Chris Smith

Google
The big city tots were pretty good. We added beer cheese, which was nice.

Google
Great food at this local neighborhood bar. Had the Buffalo Wrap, "None to share" Chicken Finger and fries 🍟 , fried Pickle appetizer and Italian Sausage soup 🍲 . Everything was excellent. Modest prices, too.

Google
Excellent little dive bar vibes! Great food (as you can see from the pictures), and they open a 7am! Hey, 3rd shifters deserve a cocktail or two when they get out of work just like the rest of us. Did I mention the wonderful beer selection they have also? And an added bonus, they have a decent patio section too! The staff is always on point, and the service has always been superb every time I've been there. Whether you have a party of 1 or a party of 15, they make it work.

Google
The food was great. Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful. Even though it was busy, our server took time to answer questions, make suggestions, and got our drinks and food out to us quickly. The fish and chips were fantastic.

Google
The food is pretty darn good. The service is always awesome. The Men’s room is so hilarious that I had to post.

Google
Such an awesome place with great service. Everyone is always super welcoming. The biscuits and gravy is pretty awesome but I haven't had anything there that wasn't delicious.

Matt Roberts

Google
Foods good, great beer selection and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming to all.

Yelp
You want good dive bar grub? Head to logan's alley. Been coming here for years! Always good ambiance, you can sit inside or outside. Inside there is a pool table to play. The tots are what they are known for!

Karsen L.

Yelp
Full disclosure: I come here just for the chicken tenders! But I stay for the endless selection of beer and cider on draft--and darts...which I somehow become a pro at after three drinks. The service here is stellar, whether you're at the bar or tucked into one of the cozy booths. About those chicken tenders? Battered in pickle juice (insane, I know) with fries that are seasoned to the gods. This place just gets it. And I'm sure my 7am healthcare friends agree!

Yelp
Best Pub in town. Candace, Megan, Joan, Wesley and Amanda are "Rockstars". ~Tim/Todd

Yelp
Poutine Crab Rangoon chip dip I was a big fan of the poutine. The gravy and chunks of turkey were delicious and paired really well with the sweet potato fries. I was skeptical about the candied pecans and cranberries but they worked with the dish really well. And oh my god the crab Rangoon chips might be one of the best things I've eaten all year. Wontons were perfectly crisp, delicious dip, sauce was subtle but sweet. Definitely coming back here again. Only thing I will say is that the service was a bit... weird and the inside was really loud (I don't think it's usually like this - Sunday football was on and it is a sports bar sooooo).

Jia G.

Yelp
Everything is sooo good, I like the Quesadillas and beers. Will come again for sure. The waitress is also so friendly

Katy C.

Yelp
Logan's Alley is one of my favorite local spots. We have a bit of a tradition of going there for breakfast on Christmas Eve - unfortunately we got there too early this year and they weren't open yet, but we did get there on New Year's Eve for brunch. They serve brunch all day and open early. You'll often see hospital employees enjoying the patio early in the morning. The patio is covered and heated, which makes it a great spot for most of the year. The menu includes many bar favorites, and the chicken tenders are still my go-to. Nate got the breakfast quesadilla recently, which looked really good and was presented nicely, but was a bit bland. He added some salt, which helped, but really wanted some salsa. The scramble sandwich is another one of my favorites. Logan's Alley is known for their extensive tap and bottle list. I'm not much of a beer drinker these days, but always found something I wanted to try. They have their own parking lot, which is super convenient.

Madison J.

Yelp
Such a fun dive bar! We played darts, drank beer and had the best nachos I've ever eaten. The staff was super friendly and helpful. A necessary Sunday Funday stop

Whitney B.

Yelp
Super great atmosphere to visit and even amazing food menu. We really love the staff Dylan, Winter and the manager with the blue hair but yall really need to check on the other staff there like Megan. Super rude and totally changes the whole vibe when you arrive. Will come back again and not ask for her

Douglas G.

Yelp
I've been coming to Logan's for a while now, and have just realized I take for granted what the people working here give on a daily basis, fast service, friendly faces and conversation, laughs and lots of great drinks, affordable prices and great food. I don't say this lightly, the service attention you will get here is hard to find anywhere else in Grand Rapids!

Pat P.

Yelp
The fish and chips were disappointing. Hardly any fish and all breading. The burgers were ok. Service was good from Corrine our server. It was quite x expensive for what we got. We won't be back!

William W.

Yelp
The chicken tenders are delicious, the tap list is great, the ambience is down to earth. Good place to grab a beer and a bite.

Cody S.

Yelp
Delicious food with great vibes. From their wraps to their chicken sandwich. So much flavor in everything.

Merrie R.

Yelp
The breakfast / brunch items here are amazing!! This is probably the best breakfast quesadilla I've ever had. Service is decent, atmosphere is like a hole in the wall even though it isn't.

Ashley M.

Yelp
I cannot believe I haven't reviewed Logan's yet.... Here's the deal: This place is a GREAT neighborhood bar with a kick-ass tap list & GOOD bar food. Plenty of the best most recent craft beer releases for the hipster beer kids with a few local craft ciders always available, too. Their patio is covered and enclosed with wooden terrace-esque screens that doesn't make sitting on Michigan Street seem so bad. Loaded tots are incredible drunk food- along with their onion rings and buffalo cauliflower wraps. Wonderful, friendly staff as well! Best bar/hang out on the Michigan stretch of weird-townie-haunts!

Allison R.

Yelp
After grabbing dinner at Ginza, we decided to walk back to our hotel (Hampton Inn & Suites) and stopped at Logan's Alley based on prior review photos of their pool table. Unfortunately, they no longer have a pool table so the bartender redirected us to Duke's. The vibe here felt welcoming and low key, but we didn't stay long after being redirected so I didn't get a feel for the vibe as the night went on.

Olivia A.

Yelp
Grabbed some drinks here tonight before dinner. Bar was busy and loud but service was kind and we were able to get our drinks fairly quickly.

Marianne G.

Yelp
This is pretty much a shit hole place, but they have FANTASTIC food! Everything I've had here is great. But seriously, you need to get the loaded tots. If you are a craft beer fan, the have really awesome selections here, and great tap takeovers and stuff. And they open super early for 3rd shifters!

A G.

Yelp
Great times as always at Logan's Alley. The burgers, apps, and fries were great as usual. BUT let me tell you, for a city as big as GR there are few places that have great wraps: Problem solved. The Buffalo chicken wrap was amazing. Idk if they make it custom or not but it's worth asking that this Buffalo wrap was as good as it was.

Allison C.

Yelp
Food is good, anything off the menu is delicious. The only problem is Luis said I was talking too loud on my AirPods, when I was at normal volume. No one else complained, even those next to me.

william h.

Yelp
Candy Pants is Amazing! Thee best Bartender in West Michigan!!!!!!!!! What a great Bar.......

Keenan C.

Yelp
Here I am today. The day after eating the onion rings at Logan's alley. I'm eating onion rings somewhere else and realizing I will now compare every onion ring I eat to the ones I had at Logan's Alley. I'm ruined now. What should I do now that I know I will never enjoy onion rings the same way. One of my favorite foods is garbage now, because nothing will compare. It was my birthday. Now I long for the sweet release of death in hopes that heaven will have comparable onion rings. Even then, I don't know if they will be able to hold a candle.

Richard S.

Yelp
I just called from Austin, TX to send shots to one of our friends visiting the establishment and the staff did not disappoint! Super friendly considering the odd request . These guys are the beeZ kneeZ.

Mason B.

Yelp
Tried this local place for the first time today. Will definitely be back. They have tons of drinking options & had $4 bloody Mary's on Sunday's. The menu was fairly priced. Mostly comfort/bar food. I got the Mac and cheese and it is probably the best hot Mac and cheese I've ever had. They use beer cheese and the chicken was delicious. So much flavor and so filling. It was AMAZING. The Brutus was good too. Not amazing but it was very good. The fries were really good as well. We had really great service. The guy had quite a few tables too but he was super friendly and checked on us as often as needed. Overall we had no complaints and we highly recommend checking this place out! I'm so glad they have a heated patio so they can be open during the covid shutdown!

Erin K.

Yelp
This is a tiny little dive bar that has great food and service. We got in and out very fast and our server was attentive. We ordered the club sandwich, Cuban sandwich, and smothered tots. Everything was so good and the portions so large that we were not able to finish everything (and we are big eaters). They also have a really good beer selection, but I would expect nothing less from Grand Rapids. !!!! 26. Linear

Catalin B.

Yelp
This was a really great place! I've been here a couple times and will continue to frequent and bring people here. The atmosphere is casual and fun. The food has been really good every time. The drinks are very well done. I enjoy the old fashion in particular. The servers are prompt, polite and really knowledgeable of both the drink and food menu. I wish there was a way they could add more heaters to the deck...

Sarah B.

Yelp
Wow, this place has really gone downhill. We were extremely disappointed in the service on the last two occasions. Not only are they rude, but they are very slow to greet & bring drinks. I have had the spicy mac & cheese multiple times, and last night it came out cold, bland, and literally two small chicken tenders on it. It usually comes with 4 to 5 tenders. The cocktails are very weak and they upcharged me for lemonade.. in a vodka lemonade. Additionally, the takeout service was cold, stale, and incorrect. It was like lighting a match to money. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place to go hang out and get a drink. Just come here with very low expectations (and eat dinner ahead of time!)

Nick J.

Yelp
I've had nothing but great experiences here :) The food is great and the service is exceptional. The people who work here really make me want to come back again and again.

David M.

Yelp
Best bar in Grand Rapids! Atmosphere is fun! Staff is absolutely amazing! Bar food is terrific!

Daniel B.

Yelp
This is so hard to review. Here's why: Beer Selection 5* - easy, it's serious, world class and extensive. Service 4* - but I'd give Jennifer 5* Outdoor Seating 4* but 1* for indoor smoking Food was generally crappy and 2* feels generous Sadly, the food is the missing link. Sure the tater tots are great. I was told the wings were sub-par, and they were. Burger wasn't as good as we were led to believe. Salad wasn't good. Pizza was on 1/2 price special, and it's hard to complain about $5 bacon pizza. The chicken parm sandwich looked like the real winner - and was freaking huge. Really, I'd say go for the beer. Relax on the patio. Eat some tots. And when you get really hungry go to Grand Coney across the way. If you did that, it would clearly be a 4* experience. Maybe even 5* depending on the weather and the company.

Mary M.

Yelp
It's not glamorous but I've never gone to Logan's and left disappointed. The service has always been somewhere between good and excellent. Foodwise, it's probably close to what you would expect but a little better. My friend LOVES their bibimbap burger. Another friend is really into the breakfast burrito. The tator tots are exactly that. They have always tried to find creative ways to accommodate my vegan diet, none of which are exceptional but I do appreciate the effort. til;dr Good atmosphere, good music, pinball is nice, decent beer selection, good bar food, fair pricing, usually really nice staff.

Kevin C.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Grand Rapids, and 2nd place is not close. Best beer menu in town, and not afraid to pour a stiff cocktail. Logan's also has excellent food for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don't sleep on the tot's!!! What makes this place truly special is the staff. The bartenders, servers and kitchen staff make this bar a true Grand Rapids legend! Do not skip this bar!! Especially Candice!

Jamie N.

Yelp
This little hole in the wall is a great spot to grab a drink after a long day at work. Whether you are first shift or third shift this place is Open. They have a huge selection of beer, both craft and domestic. Plus their loaded tater tots are a great complement to the drink of choice. This place is quaint, cozy, and comfy to catch up with friends old and new.

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Logan's alley is a staple of Michigan St. Many happy hour mornings spent there after the nightshift

Nisheet G.

Yelp
We went there on Wednesday night since we saw that the special that night was half off all the "world beer club" beers. From outside, the bar looks like it's a first floor of a 2 story house. It's also set as a neighborhood bar with a small parking lot in the back. After entering from the front door, it takes some time for you eyes to adjust to the dim lighting. For a Wednesday night, the place looked packed. After we sat down, we happily proceeded to order the "world beers club" beers only to find out that you must have been a member by the day before to qualify. This was really a bummer and that is why I am giving the place 3 stars. Nowhere on the website or the Facebook page does it talk about that requirement. I understand the reason whey this rule is in place but there is no reason for them not to declare it on their website. We then just decided to suck it up and pay full price for the beers. The beers were served quickly and were delicious. If you are looking for a neighborhood bar with good beer list then this is a good place. Don't bring your first date here as the place has that dingy kind of a feeling. On the plus side, the popcorn is free, so, go ahead, bring your first date here.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Bartender Andy is the man. It was busy but he seemed to have it under control. Definitely a local vibe and lots of beers on tap! Didn't have food this go around but will try next time!

Amanda L.

Yelp
An established and well loved local watering hole with a surprisingly diverse food menu and a huge variety of beers. I always get the Barley and Quinoa Salad and it doesn't disappoint. If you are an ambitious beer drinker, you'll want to join their World Beer Club. In addition to the world beers, they have a clear commitment to Michigan breweries by offering a variety of local bottles. They also make the ole standby's - like a vodka/soda- strong and tall. They have a juke box, free popcorn, a pool table, billiards, and if it's nice out, the side deck is a relaxing seating option. Otherwise, it's a cozy fit inside the bar. Only complaint is the parking lot situation. It's a tight fit navigating through it and the spots aren't well marked: you kind of have to make your own, especially at night. The staff is fun and the other customers are a good time. I've often made friends with the table next to me. I'm told they even have 7am happy hours for the 3rd shift crowd (or people who haven't gone to bed yet) so there's no reason why you can't stop in.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
I come here for the beer. Truly, that is my main reason - Logan's does a great job at getting craft beer in that a lot of other places in town don't get. The beer is always excellent and the prices reasonable - especially for a lot of rare things they get on tap! I will say I get hesitant to come here sometimes because I know it is popular and I can get sensory overloaded, which keeps me away from being around a lot of people causing noise. I appreciate the outdoors area that they have partitioned off which makes you feel more like you are in a seasonal room but can still hear the sounds of the outside environment around you, as well as a way for the noise to escape. Keep bringing in good beer and I will keep coming back! Oh, I do want to check out the pool table and darts some time, I always forget they have that area over behind the bar. I am pleasantly surprised every time I walk in.

Jake S.

Yelp
The poutine is delicious, as well as their version of a French dip. The food here is actually very good and outpaces what you'd expect for the atmosphere. However, I love the feel of this place. No pretensions but a great place with pleasant staff, a wide selection of draft and bottle beer. It has a "dive" feel, but it is truly a hidden gem, though it's fairly well known.

Renee O.

Yelp
Amazing!! I love the comfortable feel, the friendly staff and the wonderful drinks. I grew up in Grand Rapids and have gone to Logan's Alley for 8 years. I've celebrated my birthday, enjoyed dinner with friends and of course St. Patty's Day at this amazing pub. There's always something to do whether you'd like to play music on the jukebox, try out the pool table or compete in darts and don't forget the live music on the weekends. I moved out of state a few months ago and this is the one place I wish I could take with me.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
The smoked gouda cheese fritters are a must try! The burgers aren't too shabby either. This is a nice place to get away from the craziness that is Stella's and Hopcat on the weekends in GR. Love it.

Allen M.

Yelp
Ever since I was introduced to Logans a couple years ago, its become my favorite little bar in GR. Foods always good as I don't think I've ever had a bad meal from logans, and they have lots of beer choices.

Ian B.

Yelp
My favorite patio in all of GR. Always open (it seems), always welcoming. Come here for beer and tots!

Bob G.

Yelp
Serious beer program here with rotating taps and a fine bottle selection. People who care about such things might be put off by the old house and lack of fanciness, but that's not why you go to Logan's. You go for the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, thoughtful beer menus, and some of the best bar food in the area. Friends meeting friends- it really doesn't get much better.

Matt D.

Yelp
Andy is awesome. Servers are great. The new menu isn't as good as the old one. They should change it back

Ashley B.

Yelp
This place looks run down and outdated but it is a really good experience. I was pleasantly surprised with all the food that my friends and I ordered. They smoke all their meat right there behind the building. defiantly worth a try!!

Kathy R.

Yelp
This is my favorite bar in Grand Rapids by far!!! They have an amazing beer selection, great service, and they always have great food specials. The new late menu is phenomenal!!! I recommend the Sinister PB&J! I have never had a bad experience at this bar. They have over 200+ beers to choose from and a constantly rotating draft list. Logan's never disappoints!

Rachel B.

Yelp
It's alright for a dive bar. I thought the food was overrated and my draught was flat. I ordered the pastrami sandwich which was mostly shredded cabbage and half a plate of chips. It was so sloppy and flavorless. Not quite an $11 sandwich. Stick to the usual fryer foods and a can of beer.

Mr. M.

Yelp
Crazy beer selection and a wonderful eclectic menu with a flavor for Michigan fare. Yeah they have micros on tap, but their focus on the right micros is what sets them apart. 30 beers on top and the radio just went from classic rock to Eazy E (no joke). You want a tater tot bar, we're having that now. Bam! Don't be fooled by the ramshackle store front look. This is the place that your super cool uncle takes you to remind you why he is the cool uncle. The popcorn is hot, the patio is covered and the pool table is empty. See you here!

Elise B.

Yelp
Being in the same family as Graydon's Crossing and Derby Station, the food is good, unique, and locally-sourced for the most part. Logan's focuses on bar-type food as its distinction from the other properties. I have eaten there a few times and everything has been very good. I am a fan of Graydon's food and it has a lot of similarities. The specials always look excellent and you have to try the onion rings (same for all 3 restaurants) at least once. They also honor coupons that you can redeem from Grand Rapids recycling reward points, so that's a plus. Not sure if having a BOGO coupon affects my perception of the food that much, but it sure doesn't hurt it. Beer selection is ample. It rotates constantly, so what you want off of the list may not necessarily be on tap at that very moment. I believe they have fewer taps than Graydon's but they have a big bottle selection. Service has been hit-or-miss with me. It seems basically that they are understaffed, as every time I have gone, my server seems overly busy. As to be expected, some servers can cope better than others with that. Sometimes the bartenders are the servers as well, which seems sort of inefficient. it's hard to flag down your server when he is busy behind the bar. However a few servers I have had were helpful in beer selection, as it should be. Be aware that it can get loud/ rowdy in there.
