Yelp
Beer, boats, bingo, bocce ball! Just a few things you can find at Logboat. Granted, the boat is a canoe built into the ground, but nonetheless this place exceeded my already high expectations.
First, the beer is done right and the beer names rock. I immediately loved the Shiphead ginger beer, which is just the right balance of ginger flavor. The Mamoot mild ale is a darker beer that doesn't taste too heavy, which is perfect for my tastes. The Bobber lager is easy to drink, and the Lookout APA is yummy and not too hoppy. I have yet to try an option I don't like.
Next, the atmosphere is one of a kind. The decor inside consists of a lot of wood, beams and some awesome paintings matching their beer cans. You'll also find a few interesting decor choices that I'll let you discover in your own. It is the outside that really rocks, however. The shipyard, as it's called, is a huge grassy area with a few tables, a bocce ball court and other outdoor games. Pets are welcome, you can bring blankets and chairs, and bringing your own food is encouraged (both outside and inside).
Speaking of food, Logboat doesn't have a kitchen. They do bring in food from vendors a few days a week, such as tacos, which is something to check out on their website before you go.
There always seems to be something going on at Logboat, which adds to the fun of it all. Weekly bingo, live music and charity events are just a few I've seen. After multiple trips here, the atmosphere and beer have really grown on me. It's the perfect spot for beer lovers of all kinds.
