We stayed in a nearby village for a few nights. This restaurant looked amazing online, so we booked a table for dinner.
It was a warm summer day and we got a table on the beautiful terrace with amazing valley views. Our Bulldog was welcome here as well. Parking is just out front.
We both chose the three-course set menu, a bottle of water and a bottle of Pouilly-Fuisse (great wine).
There was an amuse-bouche served first and then an appetizer. Both full of flavours and a work of art visually. For the starter we had the Foie Gras mi-cuit. We do love Foie Gras and this one here was among the very best we've ever had. Perfection.
For the main we had the Filet de Boeuf with side. The meat was cooked as ordered and cooked to perfection. Tender, juicy. High quality meat. The potatoes with the Béchamel Sauce were great and a perfect match for the meat.
We chose two different desserts. One was a chocolate/nut cake and the other was a fruit mousse with sorbet. Both again absolute masterpieces. Visually and taste-wise. Desserts are always, in our opinion, the hardest part to pull off. And they got a real master in the kitchen here.
A very exciting meal without any fault. The staff / owner were all great. Really took care of us well, very friendly and welcoming.
Paid just a bit under 150 Euros. And that's amazing value for the food, the presentation and the quality. Highly recommended.
