The 25 Best Restaurants & Bars In Palm Springs

"Despite a name that sounds like a veteran can-can dancer at the Moulin Rouge, Lola Rose is in fact an upscale Levantine restaurant on the second floor of the Thompson Hotel. It’s also one of the hottest tables in town. The ornate multi-room space includes several dining rooms, a large bar, and a lounge area where everybody eats mezze on couches. It’s an ideal dinner destination if you’re with a big group, especially when half your friends still shout “girl dinner!” after ordering hummus and crudité. Don’t neglect the seafood entrees, though, which tend to be the best dishes here: perfectly grilled octopus with butter beans, swordfish kebabs, and smoky spot prawns bathing in cucumber yogurt." - brant cox

The Best Restaurants in Palm Springs

"Perched on the second-floor rooftop of the Thompson Palm Springs is Lola Rose. It’s become quite the spot since opening in November 2024, where a Levantine-inspired menu includes grilled octopus, spicy lamb kebab, garlicky toum, and a bone-in braised lamb neck with za’atar. Order the shakshuka and enjoy the view of the pool." - Mona Holmes, Eater Staff

Birthday dinner was delicious here. Food tasted as good or better than it looked. Service staff were friendly and attentive. Ambience is lively and fun. Worth stopping in for dinner if you’re a guest of the Thompson or in Palm Springs.

Google
What a beautiful space. Lola Rose Grand Mezze is all things beautiful. The service was consistent and the staff worked as a team to deliver a uniformed dining experience. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and menu was organized and diverse. While the food took on the true essence of Mediterranean cuisine, the dishes were imbalanced—some being too sweet, while others lacking the acidity needed to create a level of freshness needed to bring me in for more. Overall, happy to have visited, and recommend both visitors and locals to come to Lola Rose for the grand experience.

Google
Lola Rosa Grand Mezze is a fairly new restaurant in the new Thompson Hotel Palm Springs. The beautiful soaring large space reminded me of restaurants that you’d find in Manhattan rather than the California desert. There is a big beautiful bar serving cocktails. The Greek Mediterranean Middle Eastern cuisine was expertly prepared. I had dinner with four friends, and we enjoyed the food immensely. Stand outs included the baby beets salad, tomato labneh, chicken wings, saffron chicken kebabs, the swordfish, and the spicy lamb. We were so full that we didn’t try any of the desserts! I highly recommend Lola Rose! It’s pricey and well worth it.

We love Lola Rose! We stayed at the Thompson and had both breakfast and lunch there. The servers were warm, attentive, and took really good care of us and our young kids. Everything was delicious - we loved the burger, cocktails, wine, and breakfast options. The restaurant is beautiful and they have a lovely dining room and patio overlooking the pool.

Dining at Lola rose was the highlight of my trip to PS. I went on a Saturday night and theu had a DJ. The atmosphere was vibrant. Food and drinks were delicious.

Google
We really enjoyed the grand mezze. It was too much food, but we loved getting to try it all. Next time we'll be more selective. We particularly enjoyed tomato labneh, octopus, and celebration bread. The chocolate tahini sesame desert was yummy. The service was good. considering how busy it was. We didn't care for the falafel... undercooked/doughy and not fluffy. Drinks are fun! We will definitely go again and are locals who live in PS year round.

Google
A Palm Springs Paradox: Good Food, Wild Vibe This Eastern Mediterranean spot in Palm Springs is... an experience! 🤯 The food generally hit the mark, with the burrata and saffron chicken skewer stealing the show!✨ The Petite Mezze combo was a generous spread, almost too generous for two, but hey, more for later, right? 😉 A few nibbles weren't quite perfect: the tzatziki and falafel's garlic yogurt were a tad shy on flavor, and the rice cake, while tasty, was playing it cool at room temp. Now, for the atmosphere... it’s a whole mood! 🕺 The live DJ at the front, with a dance party in full swing by the end of dinner, felt delightfully out of place for a Mediterranean meal. If they were aiming for a specific aesthetic, it might have taken a detour through a discotheque. 💃 Service was stellar though! Our server was super friendly, attentive, and perfectly balanced their check-ins. Kudos to them! 👍 The only head-scratcher was the four unbussed tables in the dining room that remained untouched throughout our meal. A bit odd, but perhaps they were just admiring the dancers? 🤔 For Palm Springs, this was definitely one of the better dining experiences we’ve had. As my partner wisely put it, "This is like an LA 3, but a Palm Springs 9." And honestly? Couldn't be more accurate! We’d try it in LA, but probably not return. Still, worth a visit for the food and the unexpected entertainment! 🤷‍♀️

We held our Stammtisch meetup at Lola Rose Grand Mezza and had a fantastic experience! The food was excellent – my Wagyu burger was absolutely delicious, and everyone at the table enjoyed their dishes. Big thanks to Noah for the warm welcome, and to Josh and Lizit for their outstanding service. Friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time. Great food, great atmosphere, and top-tier hospitality – we’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
Lola Rose is one of my favorite new brunch destinations in Palm Springs. Located inside the Thompson Hotel, it offers a diverse menu, a sophisticated space, and a level of attention to detail and great service that makes every visit feel like a treat. The food is Mediterranean-inspired with some flavorful spices and twists that still feel familiar in a great way. I've been twice now, and my friends have visited several times more--every experience has been a hit. Highlights: -The breakfast sandwich is exceptional, with a croissant-like bun, soft scrambled eggs, avocado, sausage, and melted cheese and an aioli. It is a perfect bite. The crispy, fluffy potatoes on the side are perfectly done, and I appreciated the side of ketchup without needing to ask. It's a large satisfying plate. -The Ricotta Lemon Pancakes are a visual and flavor standout. They're topped with decadence like Chantilly, candied pecans, and macerated berries. It's delightfully sweet but balanced, and absolutely unique. -The Shakshuka is bold and comforting. It's savory and hits all the right amount of spice and heat. -Lola Rose Grand French Toast has earned its name. It is rich and indulgent in the best way, topped with caramelized pineapple and mascarpone. It tastes like pineapple upside-down cake with crispy edges meets French toast for a luxurious brunch moment. Cocktails are equally well thought out--beautifully crafted and layered with flavor, whether you prefer something citrusy, herbaceous, or bold. One note: I've had the fried chicken and waffle a couple of times. It's super crispy and comes with a za'atar crust and chili butter, but for me, the chicken itself could use more flavor. It's still good, but I tend to order other favorites instead. The space itself is stunning, think relaxed luxury resort. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are thoughtfully designed with warm wood, soft light, and a relaxed, upscale feel. The poolside patio is especially lovely, with plenty of room to enjoy your meal at your own pace. Parking tip: if you park in the Thompson Hotel garage (not valet) and they'll validate your parking.

Yelp
Lola Rose is located in the Thompson hotel on the second floor. Our first visit we came for drinks on a Saturday night. Half the restaurant has a lounge feel while the other half feels more restaurant like. When we came for drinks we sat on the lounge side and ordered the Silk Road sprotini $18 which was a play on an espresso martini. It was pretty good and would have loved to have ordered another but our server didn't follow up until after last call which was a bummer. Otherwise, we visited the following day for breakfast. Service was very attentive and kind but the food was a miss for us. I ordered the grand breakfast platter $30 this was actually very good so I recommend ordering. My hubby ordered the French toast and the cinnamon roll. The French toast($18) was dry and thick. The cinnamon roll($16) had too much going on with nuts, sumac icing and the Katafi wig along with it being rather small. Overall we couldn't justify the pricing for the quality. Maybe we would have a better experience for dinner as the menu looks a bit more promising.

Yelp
What a great find while in town. The setting was a bit posh but the servers got us sat right away. We were greeted by Tommy who was a great help throughout the visit. Explained the menu to us and got us drinks. Our server was a progressive well mannered male. I forgot his name but he took our orders. It was a group of four so we decided on the for four platter which was one kebab, one dessert, two sides, and free celebration bread. My favorite dish was the mango dessert and the bone marrow dish. Although it's a higher end setting there's a pool and lobby on the other side of the lounge room where we sat. In other words you'll see folks in swim wear passing through or even checking in it looked. Nice place definitely look forward to going back

Yelp
I came here while I was staying at the Thompson hotel in and the food was delicious but on a smaller portion. It does get very busy at night so there might be a little bit of a way to get seated. The service is a little slow, but overall, the ambience is nice and could be a good place to just grab drinks if you're not feeling it for dinner.

Yelp
Had lunch here as my friends and I were staying at the thompson hotel (which this restaurant is in) First let me start by saying this restaurant is NEW and it is BEAUTIFUL. All the decor is very thoughtful and gives an upscale mediterranean vibe. Vibe/Ambiance - 10/10 great view of the pool and the mountains food - 10/10 we had the tomato labneh, hummus with oyster mushrooms, kebab plate, breakfast platter. everyone loved their food. My kebab plate came with an iced tea! service - 6.5/10 don't get me wrong everyone here is so so nice but it is a new hotel and they are definitely still working out the kinks. we all ordered coffees and it didn't come out until we asked a different server bc they were planning to bring the coffees out with the food (strange) one person in our party even ordered a coffee from the bar bc we were tired. i hope they hire more staff to help everyone out. the servers looked like they were worked tired

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday brunch and had a great time. The food and drinks were both great--definitely a solid brunch spot. The atmosphere and decor were beautiful, perfect for a celebration or just a cute weekend outing. The highlight for me was DJ Tina Turntables--she brought such a fun, energetic vibe to the place. Loved the music and overall ambiance. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Amazing restaurant at the Thompson Hotel, the food is delicious fresh, flavorful and filling. . Beautiful decor, with outdoor and indoor seating, it's a great spot for breakfast lunch or dinner. . Open later than most places in town with great service, everyone is kind and every meal is so thoughtful. This is the spot if you're in Palm Springs

Yelp
Really dug the vibe in here. I stumbled on it while looking for a place to park on the strip, and ended up parking next to it. I wanted a drink anyway so came inside; if you come in from the street it requires going up a staircase to the open patio/pool area of a boutique hotel. The French doors were open though so I walked right up to the bar and was served right away. I got a prickly pear margarita which was lovely! The bartender was efficient despite being busy too which I appreciated. The vibes inside are just immaculate and the bathrooms are spotless - can tell it's a nice hotel! I paid like $20 including tax and tip? Not too bad. Would def come back, esp for a real meal - it would be great for a date spot!

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Palm Springs! Although this restaurant is fairly new, I believe that the quality of the food and the ambience far surpasses the competition in the Coachella Valley. Food (5/5) The menu is a little complicated if one is not familiar with traditions eastern Mediterranean cuisine; however, ordering blindly can still lead to a great meal here. I had to do a little research about a few of the sections of the menu before dining here, but it was well worth it. A few favorites include ahi crudo, celebration bread, lamb kofta kebab, and the mango magic dessert. This is a clean but somewhat carb heavy menu so be prepared to feast when coming here. The ahi tuna crudo is very refreshing with the use of the avocado sorbet and the celebration bread is surprisingly refreshing as well with the added lemon zest. For the main entree portion of the meal, I've always ordered a few of the kebabs because each kebab comes on a plate with a humongous flatbread and pickled onions. The lamb kofta kebab was nicely seasoned a definite favorite of mine. Additionally, I've always found it hard to decide on dessert here because the options are very tempting; however, I've always ordered the mango magic dessert because of the sleek presentation it comes to the table as. I'm a sucker for an over-the-top dessert where you have to crack it open to reveal the contents inside, and the mango magic did not disappoint. The mango yogurt mousse inside was light and not too sweet, and the Aleppo pepper in the shell of the dessert paired nicely with the mango flavor. Service (4.5/5) The service can vary depending on how busy the restaurant is as the space is on the larger side with multiple sections including a very large bar area that hotel guests seemed to congregate towards. The wait staff has always been nice and accommodating and my waiter actually waived the dessert fee one time because my entree took longer than expected to come out (a nice gesture that did not go overlooked as I have returned a few times after that experience). Atmosphere (5/5) This restaurant space has the best overall theme and decor that I've seen in the Coachella Valley and could rival some Michelin starred restaurants I've visited. The space is modern, yet relaxing because of curves that are incorporated into the interior. The bar and lounge area is quite impressive as well and it has always been at full capacity when I've dined here.

Yelp
Tried the new Lola Rose Grand Mezze and it was spectacular. The deco, the vibe, and the food were all outstanding. We got the Petite Mezze and it was perfect for two of us. The lamb was sooo tender. Each dish was unique, perfectly seasoned and beautiful. Excellent! They are still working out the kinks of staffing, which is fine and let's give them a break here at the beginning. They'll figure it out.

Yelp
Went to Lola Rose Grande Mezze during a get-together in Palm Springs and was impressed with all the detail that went into making the space picture worthy. The interior and the outdoor area were beautiful, each with their own vibe. We came for bunch on a Sunday and really enjoyed the DJ while waiting to be seated. The food was okay. Not many vegan options, but I was able to order a salad without the feta and a side of Za'atar Potatoes. However the service was very slow. While not the most enjoyable experience, I would still return to check out the Lola Rose Swim Club and perhaps a drink in the lounge area!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by this spot for a drink and enjoyed the ambiance and lounge menu. Service was great and attentive. They had a nice wine selection and cocktails were well made. The desert rose tasted slightly sweet and smoky. We didn't order any snacks but they looked good. I will try them next time.

Yelp
Highly recommend for women dining out solo. The lounge area is inside next to an open-air patio which allows you to enjoy the fresh air and light of the day. Arriving at 5:00 it was fairly quiet. I counted three women dining alone, two women, and another three women at the bar. There were no men in the restaurant at all (until around 7:00 when I left). I had the oddest feeling of being in a safe space; just enjoying my wine and meal without any bother. Jack, my waiter, seemed to always show up at the right time; a refill of my wine when the food arrived, my latte when dessert came. He brought a new set of silverware before the entree came. He left me alone when I took a call, but as soon as I was off, checked in with me. And the food. Fantastic. Beets (so tasty), falafel with garlic yogurt & pickled red onion/marinated cucumber. Dessert: the Coco Paradiso and latte was the perfect end to a glorious meal. Yes, it is pricey, but if you are ready for a real treat, do the whole thing! Enjoy!

Yelp
Food- Our food was good, nothing too crazy. The muhamra with the celebration bread was delicious. The celebration bread was very soft, dough texture and paan bread like. The falafel and pita bread were warm and crispy. Service- We had a reservation for 5:00pm and were seated right away. You have to book at least a week or two in advance to dine at the place. Our server's name was Danna, and she did an exceptional job recommending favorite dishes and explaining the menu. Plenty of table check-ins, and waters were filled periodically. Ambiance- The ambiance is very modern, comfortable, and vibey. It's a place you'd expect to visit if this were San Diego. It's also a place where you'd grab drinks with your besties and gossip over Mediterranean food. Very cool place to try once, but I'd only return for a special occasion! Overall, great service! Thank you :)

Yelp
Love this place. DJ mixing tunes day and night keeps the ambience lively. We had the kababs for dinner and the old fashioned was on point. Morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. Ordered the shakshuka for me and poached eggs breakfast for my wife. The shakshuka was better than what I had in all of Israel. Perfectly spiced and served in a steel pan like it should. Definitely not a foofoo portion. This chef knows what he's doing. The servers were very nice and Carlos helped us. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Lola Rose is a new place on the strip and located in a rooftop of a hotel. The mountain views are beautiful. The place itself is huge and also has a view to the hotel pool. We visited for brunch and had the labneh and the wagyu burger. The labneh is amazing and tastes fresh, perfect for poolside! For drinks I had the pornstar martini and it was good but 24 dollars for a martini is a bit much, imo. Service was attentive and great. We really enjoyed this place and will be back soon.

Yelp
Brunch was so good we decided to come back for dinner! Service was fabulous & every dish was well defined. Started with the yellowtail, light & fresh. The highlight of the meal was for sure the spicy lamb, cooked absolutely perfectly; the garlic toum really brought out the flavor. Also loved the bazaar tahdig, so crispy! The avocado sorbet on the burrata was an unexpected surprise, would definitely order it again. For dessert we tried the chocolate von Lola, loved the savory notes from the sesame. Not overwhelming sweet which was nice. Overall a great meal!

Yelp
It was Memorial Weekend and we went in with high expectations - in short Lola Rose was a disappointment. We ate at the bar bc reservations here are always difficult to get. Bartenders did their best to keep up with the crowd. Maybe the food suffered bc the kitchen was also busy. We ordered the tasting menu - the Lamb was over cooked and some dishes lacked flavor. The hotel design is beautiful, upscale, new, Thompson you anticipate. The food was below standard vs other properties we've been to. Find a local spot and try without expectation. Cheers!

Yelp
Wagyu burger was most disappointing burger of my life. Don't think that's actually Wagyu beef at all. Kebab beef just okay. Not really flavorful. The music was so loud that it's hard to hear my husband in there with. It was so uncomfortable. We can't wait to finish the food and leave. Definitely not a place you want to be relaxed and enjoy your food. And the cocktail I ordered has minimal liquid in it and they charged $18. Very disappointing.

Yelp
We visited during a bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs and were so glad to have chosen Lola Rose for our night out dinner. The ambiance is fantastic and the drinks we had were incredible. So many of the cocktails sounded good that we each ordered a different one so we could try them all! I was partial to the tzatziki milk punch - truly one of the most unique and delicious drinks I've ever had. The food is fantastic as well, we ordered a ton of dips to share as well as some seafood & kebabs. We enjoyed it all but the true star of the show was our server, Scott N! Many of the guests in our party work in restaurants and couldn't compliment him enough. He recommended the best drinks & food, was attentive without being overbearing, and made our bride to be feel very special with a complimentary dessert. Thank you Scott for taking an already incredible experience to the next level!

Yelp
I could have spent the whole day here under the misters eating and people watching. Loved it. The food was very good, too - bread, dips, etc. - but this is five stars for the scene and view and four for the very good food. Lovely afternoon.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Food is amazing, service leaves a lot to be desired.... We were ignored for a good 20 minutes after we sat down, drink orders took another 20 minutes, food finally started coming in, one dish at a time for a party of eight over the course of 20 minutes. Spoke to a manager, who basically shined us on. The server was totally passive aggressive throughout the meal. Not a fun experience at all.

Dark S.

Yelp
I have the say this is a welcome addition to the desert. Really beautiful restaurant, pool & hotel. But while the food is definitely 5 stars, the service is abysmal. After menus (20 minutes) it took 50 minutes to get food. The place was empty save for one table of 10-12. One chef? How could it take so long to make a kebab, falafel and eggplant? I'm hoping this was a glitch which will be worked out by management. I'd love to come back and enjoy the wonderful food.
google avatar

Ivy L.

Yelp
What a delight! The space is just beautiful inside, and fun/elegant outside as well. The food was fantastic - we loved everything we ordered! For starters, got the yellowtail and octopus - both just amazing. Then we got the tomato labneh and hummus, very tasty. The pita bread was so good! For mains, we got falafel, a beef kebab, and braised lamb neck. Every single item was delicious and plated beautifully. We will definitely return!
google avatar

Hillari S.

Yelp
Food here is pretty good. Decor is amazing. Drinks are yummy. Service is pretty lacking. I hope they fix that. The lone table for 10 in the front lounge area feels out of place when you eat there with a group...I hope they change that, also. I do like having drinks at the beautiful bar.
google avatar

Galleri L.

Yelp
Lola Rose is my favorite new place to enjoy! I am hooked on the gyros and atmosphere. I grew up in NYC eating Turkish cuisine and finally I found a space and place that gives me quality with out disrespectful prices. I think everyone who appreciates something nice and mellow but memorable should consider Lola Rose at the Thompson Hotel! Life is better with fun experiences and quality food. Also my photo is a late lunch to go order and it was delicious!

Mayra R.

Yelp
Breakfast was amazing but we came for dinner as well. Waitress was so effing rude. My 4 year old spilled her drink, which I'm sorry but then the waitress came with my 13 year olds drink and yelled "is she going to be able to handle a glass of sprite?" And then we ordered 2 orders of the lamb and she brought us lamb in a giant plate so I asked if could get my order and she told my nanny who only speaks Spanish "yes uno dos tres" and said we had to share it. So I said can at least get a plate so I don't eat off of the same plate and she got annoyed and left and brought us 8 plates. Like calm down. I didn't make you take this job. So effing rude. The pizza was raw but I wasn't even going to comment on that. The lamb was burnt. But I was going to ignore that but her shitty attitude ruined my night.

Yelp
Met a friend in the lounge and had a wonderful experience. Pablo was an outstanding waiter. He met every expectation. I plan to return soon, thanks to Pablo.

Jack L.

Yelp
We've been here for both brunch and dinner and both times failed to meet expectations. The greeters/hostesses have not been friendly or welcoming. The decor is nice but the noise level is really high. The wait staff have been pleasant but both times it appeared that it was their first day. The service was VERY slow and very discombobulated with different employees bringing food and beverages or picking up dirty dishes but they don't communicate with each other. For the brunch, we were seated and waited over 15 minutes to even be acknowledged and 35 minutes before we received the beverages we ordered. The food came 1.25 hours after we were seated. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. Food is ok but nothing to write home about. Overall food and service do not warrant the prices they charge. We won't be back.

Yelp
After much hype, I finally made it here! It's worth the hype for sure. It's spacious, beautiful, great music playing, and the food... the food is delicious! There's plenty to share and the flavors are fantastic. Great for an intimate get together or a night out with friends (just not Thursdays). Leave Thursdays to out of town guests. Also, reservations may not be required but it's a new, popular place. Reservations are smart.

Yelp
New restaurant inside the Thompson hotel! Had high expectations and did not disappoint! Our family came for brunch so I got to try a little bit of everything. I ordered the grand kebab platter for brunch with beef and it was my favorite thing we got. The beef was sooo tender and flavorful, I would get this again next time! The shakshuka was great as well and the muhamara spread was new to me so I didn't know what to expect but was soo delicious! This might be our new favorite restaurant in Palm Springs!

Yelp
I really enjoyed each time I went to this restaurant. The foods is delicious, service is amazing, and the place is great too. I went there once for brunch and once for dinner and both time were a great experience! Plus... can we talk about this view ?! Will of course come back
google avatar

Brian G.

Yelp
We were probably seated at the most sound-protected table in the restaurant dining room, and still the music was so loud inside the restaurant. It was absolutely impossible for us to have a conversation. We even asked the waiter if they could turn it down a bit. We got an "I'll see" and nothing changed. Perhaps even louder as time went on because now, everyone is shouting at their table, trying to hear each other. I enjoyed the food and the decor. We couldn't wait to leave and skipped dessert just to get some peace and quiet. The whole experience gave us both headaches. It's a shame.
google avatar

Tracy P.

Yelp
First time there, went for lunch. It was so-so. The kale salad was good but I added chicken and the chicken was overcooked. Had I known it was going to be that dry and over cooked I would have saved some of the hummus. The hummus spread was very good. (Which is why this place gets 3 stars and not 2). But the eggplant spread was not good. It was bland and had a lot going on for a plate that would have been much better with less going on. (Sundried tomatoes, some sort of parsley pesto AND yogurt with the eggplant. Also for the spreads the naan/bread they serve with it is way too thick. It needs to be thinner for dipping. It was sandwich level thick. Terrible choice.

I normally reserve 5 stars for places that blow my socks off. This place is not a Michelin star or similar but it did definitely earn a solid 4.5 from me and so I'll give them the 5. The Thompson Hotel group did an outstanding job designing this massive hotel complex and the restaurant is no exception. Does not resemble a mediocre hotel restaurant AT ALL. From the decor to the innovative and tasty menu to the outstanding service, there is nothing I'd change. AND, it has an amazing outdoor space for cocktails, appetizers and one of the best spots to watch a sunset over San Jacinto. Can't go wrong here.

Yelp
5 stars the only thing better than the food is the cute staff! They treat you like Coachella headliner.

Yelp
Let me clear: we didn't eat a thing here. But we did have drinks made by the adorable Max, and he knows what he's doing! Fresh, interesting (but approachable) cocktails executed beautifully. For what it's worth, the food we saw others' consuming looked and smelled delicious. But yeah, shout out to Max!

Yelp
As locals who live within walking distance of downtown, we want this restaurant to succeed so I'm writing this review more as a constructive statement. Specifically we want this restaurant to do well because we do not have true middle eastern choices nearby. For those of us who eat out often in PS, we don't need another Mexican, Italian or Californian/American place - we have plenty - thank you. I've given Lola Rose a generous 4 rating that is driven by the Ambiance (5 - stunning, open and classy), the experience with our server, my cocktail (El Morocco) and the description of the food on the menu. The food itself was a solid 3. It did not live up to the promise of the menu and we were underwhelmed by 4 of the 5 dishes. Many people may love the food if they are unfamiliar with middle eastern food or even slightly uncomfortable with cuisine that is too bold. But people at the hotel are on vacation and looking for adventure - so I think that gives you permission to "spice it up!" The best dish was the Hummus. I loved that it was served with crispy chick peas. The whole wheat lavash was atypical but works. The hummus has a good flavor, a slight graininess that gives a "home-ground" feel and cilantro leaves that help make it more interesting. I didn't love the sun dried tomatoes (a bit watery) but there were not many and they didn't distract. Hummus often has some olive oil and a more pronounced tahini flavor and this did not - still the dish worked for us. The Fire Roasted Eggplant was nicely textured but unfortunately had an extreme saltiness to it and an over abundance of fried shallot topping that destroyed the smokiness and subtle eggplant flavor of this dish. I was still hungry and kept trying to eat it but the heavy salt stopped me. The Baharat Crusted Chicken Wings were the biggest let down. The skin on the wings needs to be crisp always but particularly when the dish name (Crusted) indicates crispness. The flavor was bland, not bold. You're probably seeing a pattern by now. We will have to air fry and rescue these. All that said, at least the meat was moist and perfectly cooked. My strong reco is to skip this dish until it is fixed. We got the Spicy Lamb and the Saffron Chicken kebabs which were served together on a platter that included a big piece of lavash, white garlic spread, thinly sliced onions, and some shisho peppers and red and yellow pepper strips. This dish, as with others, had a nice presentation. Also - the quality of the food is good and food is cooked to temperature. We both liked the fat pieces that were included with the lamb kebab and it had a nice charred flavor. The meat portions here were on the small side. The lamb was not spicy at all, nor was the garlic sauce, and I could not detect any saffron at all on the chicken. I just made something with saffron this week at home so I'm very familiar with that fragrance and taste - so this saddened me as it was the dish I was most excited to try. Overall - go bolder on savory flavors, increase the authenticity, reduce the sweetness/saltiness. Side notes: we ate at the bar and we were happy that it was first come first serve. There were two servers working the bar area and it was clear that each one worked certain seats. My advice is to have both of them greet guests as they sit down even if they are not serving them. A simple "you server will be with you soon" will relax the guest when they wonder why you haven't greeted them when it's obvious that you could have. Also - the menu font size is very small in a dimly lit (but beautiful) space.

Yelp
Edgar is the very best of waiters anywhere and each staff member makes the customer their priority especially the chef! Delicious food with an eye-catching presentation. Patio ambiance is lovely and relaxed and Valet service adds to a perfect afternoon. Lola Rose is perched atop a beautiful hotel with rooms offering light filled balconies that might entice you to stay longer.

Yelp
Amazing experience! The people, atmosphere and food are phenomenal. Presentation and quality are top notch. Victoria was wonderful and really knowledgeable on the dishes, ingredients and recommendations. I have been to a lot of fine dining and was impressed at how well everyone worked as a team - highly skilled to create an upscale and comfortable dining experience. The portions are great for sharing plates or ordering a couple personal courses. The chicken kebab with saffron and orange was outstanding, as was the red pepper pomegranate muhamara, celebration bread a must. Would have liked more cilantro mint on the burrata - that was delicious. The chocolate and sesame dessert perfect finish. Looking forward to going back and trying more.

Yelp
Incredible! I cannot fathom how this is below 4 stars, the food here is among the best Mediterranean you'll have anywhere. Coming from LA with some of the best around, this holds its own and exceeds the best. Spicy lamb kebab with green zoug and garlic sauce was INSANELY good, red pepper hummus was amazing, beet salad was deliiicious. Such a good restaurant, best I've had in Palm Springs.

Yelp
Truly amazing as my colleagues and I have a presentation to The Thompson Management Team which ended finishing up around 4 pm. We decided to take advantage of trying out Lola Rose since it was a warm evening and started off with drinks on the patio adjacent to the bar. Thinking ahead we were able to make a dinner reservation for 5:45 and opted on ordering small plates to share. The hotel had recently opened so there were a lot of Locals having drinks and dinner- this is a great place for a date night and people watching. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We had drinks and some hummus in our two visits to Lola Rose on this trip to Palm Springs, next time we will stay for dinner. After our first visit we like it so much that we returned and brought some friends who were visiting us. First of all the view from the outdoor space is truly amazing, maybe the best of any restaurant in Palm Spring, which certainly starts a visit on a high note. Our drinks were simple cocktails and they were excellent both times. We were so pleased with the hummus on our first trip that we ordered it again; it makes a perfect small plate to accompany drinks. The staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, highly recommended base on our limited experience.

Yelp
We went on a Friday night without a reservation and were able to get a table! Friendly staff and very nice ambiance. Food was good overall. My favorite was the saffron chicken kebab. Would go back again if I go to Palm Springs. Oh and they have very tasty mocktails too :)
