"Lola’s Mexican Cuisine has a loyal Long Beach following with deep roots in the community. Try to get a patio table at the Fourth Street location, or in the equally stunning Bixby Knolls space. Chef Luis Navarro prepares classics like queso fundido, tostadas, and street tacos alongside signature moles like the mahi mahi with mole verde. For brunch, Lola’s pasilla chile chilaquiles emit a slight smokiness to the layers of beans, crema, queso fresco, and eggs." - Rebecca Roland

"Long Beach’s deep-rooted Lola’s Mexican Cuisine has two locations where diners can try chef Luis Navarro’s menu. Classics like queso fundido, tostadas, and Baja fish tacos are only the beginning. The bacon-wrapped cuetes, aka bacon-wrapped jalapeño, are fantastic apps to share, but so are the octopus and shrimp quesadilla, birria queso enchiladas, and mahi mahi with mole verde." - Mona Holmes, Brian Addison

Google
Food is excellent. It is not typical Mexican food. There is a gourmet take on Mexican food. I had the special for the day. A large Chile stuffed with ground meat, raisins, pomegranate seeds and covered with a cream sauce. The black beans are tasty without too much salt. Excellent service.

Google
Amazing food and very low key hole in the wall atmosphere, the green sauce they bring witht he chips is so good you could drink it. The enchiladas with butternut squash sauce was excellent. Highly recommend for authentic and creative Mexican food.

Google
The food was both delicious and creative. I had a salad with a pistachio dressing that was magic. All the flavors were really good with a creative twist. As someone who goes to mexico twice a year just to eat tacos I highly recommend.

Google
I went with a bunch group of 5, they had no problem getting us seated. The service was very good and our server helped us with our questions. We started with an order of stuffed peppers for the table, they were great! Each one of us had plenty of compliments for our particular meals, and drinks, I had a Bloody Mary! This restaurant has a nice twist on everything we had and I'm sure we'll be there again soon!

DAISUKE OKAMOTO (OKAINA IMAGE)

Google
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Long Beach, CA. I had a skirt steak and enchiladas. It was so delicious and their house Guacamole was also so yummy. If you are looking for Mexican food in LB, I recommend here!

I had an amazing dining experience at Lola's Mexican Cuisine! The food was absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors that left my taste buds dancing. The menu had a great variety of options, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a memorable meal. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes. Highly recommended! ❤️ Foodie Android(Gaurav Kapoor)

Google
Not a lot of parking, reto area, cute, small inside seating in the back , you feel your in new york, apt building all around, but with night lights ,old school music background, eating great food. You feel you're at home. Enjoy every meal, and we will come back. Food great

Google
Chips and salsa was good and fresh. The salsa had a nice smoky kick to it. The happy hour was good for $5 margaritas. Got a nice buzz. Also was there 7/29 when a big crash occured just outside the restaurant. The workers there showed great care and concern over their customers and kept us all safe. I was very touched by that and applaud them for their efforts in making sure their patrons were protected from any danger.

Yelp
Lola's is a great little Mexican cuisine spot with great vibes. I was introduced to this spot by my cousin. We met up for some drinks and early dinner. We came in on a Monday and they had delicious $5 margaritas that were made just to my liking. The table side salsa and chips were really good and I like that their salsa was actually spicy. I also tried their burrito which was pretty good but their food are a little on the pricey side for Mexican. However we were pretty happy with our food. The staff is very nice and attentive. They also gave great recommendations. The inside of this spot is cute and casual. It's great for large or smaller groups. I want to come back on Tuesdays for their specials.

Yelp
We came to Lola's for their seasonal dish of chiles en nogada, often served during September in Mexico for Mexican Independence. We found street parking nearby and did not have a wait midday on a weekend, though Lola's stayed fairly busy the entire meal. There is covered outdoor seating up front and back in a patio area, as well as some tables indoors. Our server was friendly and attentive. We perused the large menu with lots of regional dishes and clever names. Food on offer seemed very authentic. The interior was also lively and colorfully decorated. Prices were mid-range with fair portions. We settled on the sope trio as appetizer, then chile en nogada and enchiladas suizas as main course. The sopes were a bit small but had a nice texture and flavorful meats. The chile en nogada was sweet as expected. The enchiladas suizas were good but I didn't expect the chicken added to be in a tomato-based sauce. We had water and jamaica (hibiscus agua fresca) to drink, and the jamaica was concentrated and flavorful. The tortilla chips were kind of in-between the bad American kind and the thick Mexican totopos and were just mediocre for me. Chips came with two salsas, one more tart and one creamy. Overall, a solid dining experience and would definitely return to try more off of the menu!

Yelp
Luck of the Irish today. We nabbed the last parking spot in the lot on the corner. YES!!! We love Lola's. We got our choice of tables from inside to the patio in the front and the back. We chose inside. Hot fresh chips and salsa. Loved that green sauce, whatever it is. I couldn't decide on what to eat, vacillating between taquitos, Sopes, fish tacos or butternut squash enchiladas. The server said we should order the enchiladas. They were delicious with grilled vegetables but the taste of the squash was very low. Ok, bye.

Jacob D.

Yelp
Honestly, not a big fan of this place because I feel they try to fancy it up and make it more upscale (food) and it is just mediocre in my opinion; however, the chips and salsa are really tasty and they are complimentary as some Mexican restaurants charge for them these days. Our service was impeccable, though, and the servers were so friendly and you could tell loved their jobs and are very happy. Their adult beverages are also very good as they have a full bar on site. Outdoor patio seating is also available.

Shawn C.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the service is wonderful but at night it gets pretty crowded the staff is busy but attentive and gets you whatever you need the ambiance is relaxed very chill and that's what I like. They do need to brighten this room up by adding more lighting that's my only complaint we went mid evening and it was a bit dark although no one else seemed to mind. The wait to be seated was 15 minutes and I get the same dish whenever we visit the Bixby knolls location and of course I ordered the same food at this spot. The wait staff brings out free and fresh cooked chips blended salsa and creamy avocado sauce this was soo good. Our orders. Fresh made guacamole with more deep fried chips and salsa. Delicious! I ordered Enchilada Suiza with grilled Shrimp it's creamy and flavorful and soo good be sure to ask for your shrimp to be grilled dark or slightly blackened the flavor is much better it's nice and smokey the way I enjoy them. My daughter is vegan and they have a few delicious meals for her to try or they can special order to your liking she ordered a Vegan Soyrizo Taquitos dish with pico de gallo black beans and rice and says it's very good. Both of us ordered Mango margaritas and had a second drink I had another Mango Margarita she had a Spicy Watermelon Margarita I left a little tipsy. lol This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Long Beach near to the Beach it's eclectic very busy people tend to walk and shop around here a mix of young and old a nice quiet area to get away to enjoy yourself like myself and my daughter. This is my first visit to this location by the Beach but my daughter and her boyfriend have eaten here several times this spot will definitely my new location from this day forward. Stop by and check out this hotspot they have seating inside and outside. Enjoy ,; )

Yelp
Came to enjoy the Mole Rosa special for Long Beach Food Scene week. It was such a beautiful and complex dish. It's not often I get to eat something that surprised me and takes my tastebuds to a new level. This was it. We actually started with the shrimp and octopus ceviche that was a great serving size and more than enough for the three of us. My hubby and our friend had their Mexican coke marinated carnitas. They both raved about their dish as well. I snuck a bite and it was tasty but what I really liked on that dish was the garlic beans. Another great flavor bomb for my tongue. Lastly, their horchata is one of the only ones that I will drink. Plus refills are included. Go soon as the Mole Rosa is only available until this Sunday 8/18.

Yelp
Taco Tues check in. One of our favorite places for tacos. And their green sauce is addictive.

Logan E.

Yelp
Great food! 2nd visit I had, the servers were kind of just standing around and joking with each other the whole time... while hot food sat on the table window from the kitchen. Ordered the shrimp and octopus quesadillas. So good. All my chips were small and broken.

Glenda L.

Yelp
Nice small place. Friendly servers & attentive. They have indoor & outdoor eating available. Food was tasty. I ordered trio sopes & chicken tortilla soup.

Kate K.

Yelp
A group of friends had a disappointing experience a couple of weeks ago when we stopped by for a late dinner. It was a cold evening, so we asked to be seated inside where there were two open tables: one off to the side, which we asked for, and another one directly in front of the door. The waitress refused to seat us at the table out of the way of the draft, so we reluctantly took the other one and they promised to keep the door closed. We placed our drink and food order and then... waited. And waited... while the servers continued to prop open the door for long periods of time and we continually had to ask for it to be closed again. Eventually the bartender (who was fantastic) came to check on us, and rushed our drink order which had never been put in. The food, when it arrived, was ok but I was disappointed by the sweet potato enchiladas, which did not have any sweet potato flavor and the meat that was served with it was overcooked. Oh, and that table we couldn't have? Sat empty the entire time we were there until closing.

Yelp
Lola's gave me a new reason to exist. Whoever made that green salsa loved tf out of whoever they made it for! And that pork? Bussin. The meltiness of the cheese in my grilled chicken burrito is what I've hoped for from every burrito I've ever had. And the chips were perfect! I only wish the baskets were bigger.

Kim R.

Yelp
Went here for lunch this week on my birthday. I've had it on my "try" list for a while. We enjoyed it a lot! The green avocado sauce was BOMB! So dang delicious. We got a queso dip with carnitas that was phenomenal (forgot to take a picture) and shared the 2 tamale plate. The tamales were great, we liked the garlicky beans but the rice was just ok to us. We each got 1 cocktail that we enjoyed. Parking isn't great and the restaurant is a bit small. When we eat here again we'll go to the Bixby Knolls location.

Steph H.

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Still consistently good after all these years. Good Lord, has it really been over 13 years since my last review? Way overdue for an update! I see that I have 51 checkins here--I think that ought to tell you something. Lola's is now a classic fixture on 4th St and one of our go-to Mexican places for their great food, service, and convenience. Over the years we've been here for brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and it never disappoints. It's a little more bougie than your more traditional comfort Mexican places like Los Compadres or El Sauz, but it also means we can get vegan options here. It was pretty revolutionary when they started offering vegan "chicken" enchiladas about 5 years ago, and now they've expanded into vegan "beef" and "Al pastor". On our most recent visit the hubby and I shared their vegan street tacos plate with both those items and they were delicious! The accompanying refried beans were creamy and satisfying, but the rice was a bit underdone for my taste. At $17 for the two taco plate it's definitely not cheap eats, but we were happy with the quality and flavor. I also tried their horchata cold brew for the first time and it was very good--really hit the spot. We also always look forward to the green "crack" sauce that comes with their complimentary chips and salsa. Service is always friendly and efficient, and I know I'll have a good experience when I come here. I'm sure I'll be back again before too long. #ThankYouThursday

Yelp
Yum! Came here with coworkers during lunch. They accommodated the 8 of us pretty quickly outside. Brunch only on weekends. They have a few signature items they're known for like birria and mole. I got the chile relleno. It was good and the rice and beans were flavorful and on point. Also got a horchata which was pretty standard. My colleague got taquitos and I convinced them to get 1 potato taquito out of the 3. They said it was so good and better than the meat ones! Can't wait to come again!

Gabe Q.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I have gone to this place a few times and each time was pretty good. They give you chips and 2 dips: one smoky salsa and "green crack", which we literally brought a deli container of home. This secret family recipe is honestly what keeps us coming back, but their entrees are great too. We have a great time each time we come here and would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for some great food, friendly staff, and amazing atmosphere.

Robert T.

Yelp
This Place is a great place to have a drink... Experience a new take on Mexican American Food... The staff is always nice but dismissive.. this place is small but texting on your phone Having conversations about out of work stuff can get annoying especially when you need a glass of water... the Food is consistent. But the service needs a little Revamp...

Jim F.

Yelp
Best Mexican food in Long Beach. My favorite is their chile relleno. Their hot salsas are very good.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Best Birria queso tacos! Omg. They are so delicious and crunchy and cheesy. I can come here several times a week. The margaritas are also really good. The pink guava and spicy watermelon are bomb! I will say the margaritas are small though and for $13 it seems a bit much, but they're good. You can get them for a few bucks off for happy hour and taco Tuesday. I just wish they had the queso birria tacos on taco Tuesday/happy hour, but they only have the regular ones. They're still good but being their birria is what's best, I think it should be included in happy hour/taco Tuesday. Overall, service is good. Everyone has been cool and friendly. Giving 4 stars because it's overpriced

Anthony G.

Yelp
I love Lola's A lot of people don't care for it, but I do. It's a vibe! Drinks and Food are always on point. Cute Place at both locations. Whether you're a local or visiting you gotta check it out ! You'll love it too!

Nani V.

Yelp
Great brunch and great service! This is a cute little spot in DTLB. We came during brunch time on a Sunday and we were seated right away. They have a shaded patio area outside which is a nice and there's plenty of seating inside as well. The service was fast and we had 2 servers who were constantly checking in on us and making sure we were taken care of. The food was tasty and the salsa was pretty good. I also got the horchata cold brew which was good too. The prices were great for the portion sizes. Overall I'd recommend this place for brunch and I might come back and try dinner here as well!

Jamilette M.

Yelp
Cute place, kid friendly. The chips & salsa were really good but the food was pretty bland. I'd come back here for drinks but if you're looking for good Mexican food look elsewhere. Service was also great!

Macy D.

Yelp
Wow! Found this place was thrifting in Long Beach and it's amazing! The spicy watermelon margarita was amazing as well as the passion fruit (?) margarita. My quesadilla was so fresh and the octopus popped when you bit it! We sat outside and it had a wonderful breeze, but if you're afraid of birds sit inside! The server was nice and accommodating.

Tatianna L.

Yelp
Let's begin with today's cold and sunny day. My bestfriend, son and I came around 12 and the place was packed. Alex (The Great) offered to death us outside ans lite the lamp to keep us warm. Amazed!!!! Thw adults shared a Spicy Watermaleon Marguerita and my son had a fresh squeezed lemonade and we were all satisfied with our choices. Now to the food....The Birria Enchiliadas, beans and rice along with the shrimp tacos were very delicious. Thank you Alex for your professionalism and courtesy we felt pampered.

Tyler P.

Yelp
Best food/dinning we have had in Long Beach!!! Not exaggerating. Service was super quick, we got our drinks within a couple minutes and food was quick. Their moles and salsas were fantastic! Our server, Jose, took great care of us. Super friendly, really knowledgeable about the menu and gave great service. My girlfriend had the carnitas mole burrito and said, "when I die and go to heaven, Lola's will be there." Thankfully we live close by and will be coming back a lot! 10/10 cannot recommend higher.

Brittany H.

Yelp
Great service and an outdoor patio. Food a little pricy but the portions are reasonable

Rena T.

Yelp
Ok my 3rd time having Lola's and the food is so good that I always forget to take a photo. By the time I remember, I've eaten it all. For me, Mexican food is comfort that takes me back to huge fiestas de mi familia. Lola's really hits the spot and is so delicious. If you're looking for low cal food keep moving because this is good old fashioned delicious Mexican food. Muy sabroso. I'll get a photo in at some point. I promise

South B.

Yelp
Came here in the morning and we're literally the first to dine in during the weekend. We support local businesses and found them off Yelp and thought we'd give them a try. Not sure what went wrong. They messed up order not once, but TWICE. They couldn't figure it out. The first time was completely admitted fault by our server. The second time was a complete mess and was blamed on the kitchen. The first order they brought was not only a completely different order but certainly convinced it had meat products. The second time around the server came to fix it, they brought out yet again a wrong order which was totally missing everything/ingredients from the menu. We were REALLY nice about it and just accepted whatever came in. My partner just took the second order because by then he was starving having them fix it, and we actually didn't want to give them a hard time. The burrito they brought was not good at all. It was plain, bland, and didn't have any protein whatsoever. Complete letdown. The server did acknowledge some fault, but first time experience wasn't so great. They didn't charge us for their mistake however it wasn't the case until we brought it up. Anyway, the food was overall okay. Overpriced cocktails and loud music. It was nice and refreshing to sit outside with the plants and decor, but the first time experience wasn't pleasant. Not sure if we would be back.

Heather R.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Stopped for a quick lunch with a coworker. Server was great on suggestions and making sure we got to leave on time.

Cindy T.

Yelp
Fast service on a busy Sunday afternoon. Seated right away and the server stopped by fairly quickly to take drink orders. Chips and salsa came out quickly, too. I had the Butternut Squash Enchiladas: Two cheese stuffed enchiladas, butternut squash cream, on a bed of potatoes with fire grilled calabacitas. Yum!!! Good food, good prices, good service. There is no parking, but there's a lot nearby and street parking if you're lucky.

Felipe P.

Yelp
I drive 40 minutes to eat at this place, great food and excel margaritas, Monday margaritas are a great bargain. Food is awesome starting with the chips and two different salsas. I would even drive an hour to eat at this place.

Victoria A.

Yelp
Quality & authenticity is there! Service was great. Love that the waitress recommended their in house pork dish/recipe instead of recommending something basic like carne asada. The tortilla soup was delicious and corn was fire!! Taquitos could of used a bit more flavor/spice. Definitely recommend this place!

Sylvie P.

Yelp
Love love love Lolas on 4th Street. Plenty of outdoor, indoor, and backdoor seating with beautiful artwork and latinx decor. I am in love with the salsas and chips they bring out. Always fresh. Been here with friends, family, dates, you name it and it never disappoints. Drinks always hit the spot. The service is top tier because each host knows the menu and dishes fairly well. If they don't, they will find someone that does. They don't give you a hard time when making dietary changes to dishes and have the best recommendations. You gotta try the chilaquiles with their slow braised birria! Enjoy friends

Lauren J.

Yelp
Small restaurant, big flavor! I wanted everything on the menu. It all looked so good! Our server was very patient and helpful and answered all of my questions. I decided on one of the house specials, the birria tacos. They were amazing!!!! I've craved them ever since. I've even ordered birria tacos from other places since to try and stop my cravings but they just didn't measure up. Another highlight was the chips and salsa. The green salsa in particular was to die for. I would come just for that alone. I truly enjoyed my experience and I just have to go back!

Nathan L.

Yelp
I would give this place a high 3 star. I wouldn't say the food is authentic as the seasoning and cook of protein aren't wt you expect from Mexican cuisine. However, I still come back to this place because it's perfectly fine average food with good service. So if your not trying to wow anyone and just want some Mexican food I would say it's a good place to go. Their portions are pretty big.

Diana M.

Yelp
Loved this place. First, the food. Crazy delicious. They start you off with chips and salsa. They have a super-secret sauce called green crack sauce. All they are allowed to tell you is that it's green because of the Italian parsley. Needless to say, I'm addicted. While they are known for their mole dishes, as I'm an enchilada freak, that's where I went first. I ordered the butternut squash cream enchiladas with the skirt steak. WOW! The butternut squash adds just a slight sweetness and the veggies were crazy good. The steak was perfectly seasoned. Great dish to share as it was quite large, at least for me. My mom ordered the carnitas and loved them. I especially appreciate that they don't use lard. And, the meats are super lean. Our server, Brian, was outstanding. He noticed me helping my mom remove the cotija cheese from her beans - she can't stand cotija cheese but forgot to ask that it not be added. Without being asked, Brian brought her another serving of the beans without cotija cheese. Brian spent the time to talk to us about the restaurant and the owners. He was funny and engaging and so attentive. Turns out, going here or to the Social List across the street you are supporting a business that puts an emphasis on supporting their employees. Brian has been with Lola's for 11 years! He is clearly a dedicated employee and had nothing but wonderful things to say about his employers. This is a restaurant you will not only enjoy, but can also feel good about supporting. I can't wait to try their other restaurant, the Social List. They have a very nice outdoor sidewalk dining area, inside area, an internal outdoor courtyard as well. I will definitely return. Thank you Brian and Lola's for a wonderful experience.

Christine L.

Yelp
They have a huge pride flag on the front door, which I feel like keep that stuff out of family restaurants nothing against it but just seems not appropriate. Food was okay, nothing great I'd say We got the trio tacos, chicken taco was quite bland, Birria and carnitas were decent. We also got a Chile verde burrito, it has potatoes in it which was interesting. Not sure I would return here but wanted to try this place I would say the red salsa was spicy, green was not and pretty good Food came out 10 min after ordering on a Friday evening which was fast but my taco dish was not very hot

Harmonie T.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Lola's and frequently dine at the Bixby Knolls location. I finally had a chance to visit the OG location on Retro Row and had a good experience. For starters, the staff. Very welcoming and very friendly. My friend and I walked in after 6pm-ish on a Wednesday evening and the indoor dining area was about 25% full. Much smaller than the BK location but has a lot more outdoor dining. My friend and I just needed a small meal before heading to an event at the plant store across the street. So we split the Vegan Crispy Tacos made with Impossible Meat picadillo. It comes with beans and rice. This whole plate was super delicious! https://bit.ly/3maIf4O It was tempting to order a drink since it was National Margarita Day but we skipped it that evening. Lola's does have really good margaritas though! I can always depend on Lola's for yummy vegan eats :)

Scott R.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had a MOST excellent lunch at Lola's today. Service was timely and attentive. Guacamole was fresh on the scene, and our main dishes were flavorful AF! We'll be back, soon!

Nikki O.

Yelp
Our friend was performing at a bar nearby so we decided to get a quick bite. We have been to the location in Bixby Knolls and I have been to this location but it had been awhile. This location is in a busier area so there is minimal street parking and a small parking lot at the end of the street. I definitely recommend not to get frustrated because this is a must do. Our waitress was great. She was quick and even resolved a mishap during our visit. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves which was a plus. It was a rainy day so the place got packed so understandable that there might be a mishap. We ended up ordering a pitcher of the house margarita. It was delicious and very refreshing. I ordered the Birria Guadalajara with rice and beans and my bf ordered the Carnitas plate. Everything tasted really well. The consumé that came with the birria was delicious. Not too spicy and had a lot of flavor. I really enjoyed the rice and it was pretty authentic. Not a fan of the beans, but I never really enjoy them anywhere. Overall, this restaurant is great. The decor is pretty cool with calaveras all over the place. It definitely has a Dia De Los Muertos feel to it. If you are in the area, I suggest stopping by and trying out the goodness they have to offer.

Angel R.

Yelp
This was a spontaneous lunch spot for us! It was very quiet around lunch time and we ordered some of their famous burritos (tasted generic), but their mexican street corn is a must try. The service was okay, but i think because we were one of the few there. I also got 10% off my check from checking in! We sat outside for our meal, but it was nice indoors too.

Miguel S.

Yelp
It was my first time here because my girlfriend was craving mole. I'm giving this a three stars because the chips and the two salsas that the offer is very delicious. The menu had a lot of different options so that was a good thing. They have different types of molé, and they suggested the negro kind. The service was amazing and fast and they were very attentive and patient. But the reason this is getting three stars is because my girlfriend got the molé with rice and veggies, and I got the molé burrito. I was getting a little happy when I saw the burrito drenched in mole so I was ready to taste it, but my disappointment came when I cut the burrito in half and the chicken inside didn't have much mole coated. It had light drizzled molé and the mole didn't really taste like what mole really is. It was actually very sweet and the taste wasn't what I had expected or what I have tasted before. And the chicken I thought it would be shredded but it came in chunks. It was definitely different than what I have ever had and tried a different many places and even homemade. I even tried my girlfriend small plate and still it wasn't that great. But I will totally give points to the salsa and chips, and the beans and rice.

Yelp
Good but not great Mexican food. My enchiladas suizas were short on sauce and flavor, others at the table were happier with their choices. The horchata was excellent. Inside seating was comfortable, patio looked really nice but it was too chilly to sit outside. Service was prompt and friendly.

Yelp
Great place! The staff were super friendly and helpful and kept checking in on us. The food was delicious, wish my pork was a little less fatty but that's totally ok. The restaurant was clean and colorful. Wish I could give it 4.5 starts instead. Do recommend it and I will be back

Yelp
It wasn't too busy for a Sunday lunch, our table of 2 was seated within 10 minutes. The food was only okay. I got the butternut squash enchiladas and opted in for the steak. The cheese covering the enchiladas overpowered any butternut squash taste. The skirt steak was undercooked in my opinion, and I like my steaks medium rare already. I appreciate the vegetables for health, but they were barely seasoned. Lastly, I didn't really appreciate the pool of oil on the bottom of my plate, from only what I can assume came from the cheese. I typically find restaurant food to be too salty, and I liked that this wasn't overly salted, but I think it had potential for much more. The inside of the restaurant was very loud from the echos of people talking. I had to practically shout to converse with my friend. I do appreciate that the staff was careful with my allergies, however.

Yelp
Green sauce = crack. Pure sauce heaven here. Try alllll the moles. Although Verde is my fave. Decent cocktails, solid food selection. Also love the healthy approach to everything. They do this like Mexican equivalent of ratatouille. So fresh and tasty. Indoor is great, colorful and fun. With a cute bar at the front. Back patio. Parklet still intact. And a cute space. Staff is always lovely and friendly. The prices are surprisingly low in a very good way especially these days. Oh and wait time... they're always crowded but never too long of a wait to sit. Brunch, lunch and dinner all recommended. Fun little spot on 4th retro row. Also a Bixby Knolls location.

Yelp
Another great find on 4th street. Lolas is authentic Mexican. Great portions and amazing flavors. Taquitos de papá and chicken - i loved both. The tinga chicken taquito had amazing flavor . The right toppings and great crunch. The red sauce on top was full of flavor ( not the same one the veggie tacos had) Tortilla soup was the star of the show. If your a soup person I encourage you to order this. Veggie tacos- the salsa these had was delicious . Tomato type salsa with no kick, perfect for crunchy tacos. Margaritas are shaken and they have a great selection of tequilas. Salad was also a great dish with an amazing pepita cilantro dressing. Customer service - everyone was attentive and in good welcoming spirits. Our waitress marielena was full of energy and very helpful with food recommendations.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! I came here on a Thursday looking for a place with decent happy hour specials. Lola's did not disappoint. We parked on the street $1/hr. We were able to be seated right away, and attended to immediately. Our waitress was very attentive and had a positive attitude. She was also very patient as we were indecisive. I got a spicy watermelon margarita and my partner got the mango chili margarita. They were both delicious!! We got the taquitos with potatoes, Mexican street corn and bean and cheese chimis. The portions were perfect for shares. And the guac that came on to of the taquitos and chimis were healthy (love that). And the food, was delicious. I added more tajin and some lime juice to the street corn, but other than that no hot sauce needed.
