"Powered by a team with more than 100 years of combined experience, including time at Michelin-starred spots like Alinea and Rebelle, this fast-casual tacos-and-cocktails newcomer in Grosse Pointe Woods aims for accessibility without cutting corners. A proprietary rotisserie system left by the former Boston Market inspired chef Brandon Zarb’s rotisserie chicken special, served as a family combo with warm tortillas, pickled veggies, and guacamole. Service will be primarily counter-style, but staff will check in at tables so guests can add drinks or more food without using a QR code. “We’re going to use fresh-squeezed lime juice and good tequila,” Branden McRill says, adding, “We’ll also make an affordable margarita.” The menu will feature al pastor shaved from a trompo, vegan and vegetarian options, and build-your-own bowls and burritos, with the team leaning toward flour tortillas. Expect a 24-seat patio, room for 50 inside, and interiors by Tury Design, with plans to scale to multiple locations after an early September debut." - Ashok Selvam

Lola’s Taco Bar was fantastic from start to finish. The atmosphere was modern, clean, and fun, which made it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. We ordered a variety of tacos including the al pastor, steak trompo, spicy chorizo, street corn, and rotisserie chicken tacos, and every single one was delicious and packed with flavor. My personal favorites were the street corn taco and the rotisserie chicken taco, both were incredibly flavorful and really stood out. We also started with the chips and queso, which were pretty good and a nice appetizer while waiting for the tacos. For dessert we ordered the doughnuts, which were fried and coated with cinnamon and sugar. They were absolutely fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal. Great food, great atmosphere, and definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. 🌮🍩

The Shrimp Taco is the best I've had. So much flavor. Al Pastor Bowl and spicy Chorizo queso were amazing as well. The entire Lola's staff were so kind and helpful. GP needed this. Don't sleep on the donuts or the margs!

Overall rating 6/10. It’s a fair place for a quick bite for lunch. The price to quality ratio is alright. It’s not off the shelf Gordon’s though the ingredients taste familiar like your regular Chipotle. Keep your expectations low and you may be impressed, keep them high and you’ll be disappointed. Customer service- 7/10 Atmosphere-7/10 Food Ratings Queso- 7/10 tastes like qdoba Chorizo street taco- 5/10 flavorful but cold, good amount of spice Crispy queso- 6/10 mozzarella stick with green creme sauce, was hot and crispy but not very flavorful Burrito with chipotle sauce & rotisserie chicken- 5/10 not bad, soggy, could use longer on the grill to fry the tortilla for a crisper hold.

Tried Lola’s for the first time this weekend. Food was very good, staff was friendly, and I was impressed with the ambiance. Great lighting, so much better than those bright fluorescents! The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars vs. 5: I ordered the shrimp and chicken add-ons for the bowl, sort of disappointed they didn’t have any more chicken options other than rotisserie. And as for the shrimp, I can’t have deep fried, breaded, foods in excess, sometimes at all. It did not indicate the shrimp was breaded or fried on the order form, so $6 extra just for the shrimp felt like money wasted. Would also love the option to add double chicken! Overall, it was still very tasty and I will be back, but hope some modifications are made overtime. Oh! Also wanted to add, I love that the silverware is compostable, along with the bowls.

Fantastic service, fun and kid friendly atmosphere, and excellent food. The tacos are all wonderful. The shrimp taco with corn tortilla is my favorite. The warm chips are a delicious. The staff is welcoming and attentive. Great addition to GP!

Beautiful space with acute attention to detail and decor. The tacos were perfectly garnished, sensibly proportioned, and timed well to enjoy the combination of intentional seasoning, savory protein, and with thought given to the appropriate balance of heat & spice. The hosts were gracious and exceedingly attentive. I ordered the tacos, margaritas, melted queso, and their take on a Spanish sweet donut. Looking forward to visiting again to review the Lola Burrito. Excellent job to the Lola’s family! -Court

First time in this restaurant. I stumbled upon it by accident and could not be any happier. The environment is very nice and unlike anything else in the area I feel. The food was amazing and the prices were pretty great.

The only thing that's a bummer is the lack of seating. Everything else is check, done, come back and repeat. Guava marg is yessss. Salsa Verde is a little tart but tasty. Chips are pleasantly greasy and salted. Spicy chorizo tacos are insane. Cute decor and amazingly pleasant staff. Cannot wait to come back
