Incredible experience! My boyfriend and I came from Aguilares for our anniversary and there is no place else I’d have rather spent it. We got a few cocktails, which were all delicious, as well as the short rib loaded sweet potato fries, the poblano chicken crepes, and the chicken tostados. The ambience was beautiful, the music was awesome, the service was unbeatable, and we left extremely satisfied! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Been here twice already and it never failed me and my partner with our expectations. This is one of the best restaurants in Laredo. Also the prices are reasonable. The presentation is perfect. Everyone is friendly and gives outstanding customer service. For this 3 meals with 3 coke in glass we paid $63.

Very Impressed with this little place. Cozy, clean, nice setup, decor is very cute. Pictures on the wall are cool, music in the background is so relaxing, ambience is nice. Few things that I would do, is to add mirrors on the walls, and dim the lights as the sun sets accordingly. Food was delicious, waiter was very knowledgeable and knew what to recommend. He was very attentive and food came in a timely manner. Menu: Lots of items to choose from and nice diversity. Beet salad: BIG portion which is good, taste very fresh, balanced and zesty. Roasted beef brisket: Meat is cooked to perfection, very tender, texture is soft, marination was absolutely savory. The combination of asparagus, mushrooms and mashed Potatoes compliments the meat. I would add carrots to give the plate some color. Desserts: Chocolate cake was really soft, icing was very balanced and not too sugary. The latte was amazing, creamy and nicely presented. I would definitely go back and visit. Highly recommended 👌

Very chic and can cater to both upscale and local patrons. The food is fresh and very pleasing to both the eyes and taste buds. Beautiful location and the service too is on point.

Great service by Octavio and Angel who took care of us and were very attentive. We had the Tostones and Guac and Lobster tacos. This was our first time there and we brought out small dog so we were able to sit outside. We will definitely come by again while in Laredo. We dined in the patio.

Everything was so beautiful and elegant! The food and the surface was on point!

I had a really nice experience food was good and affordable. I usually don’t finish my plate and when I went I left it clean. I will say if you have a group of more than four to reserve beforehand because the place is really small but completely worth the wait. I will go back again because everyone was welcoming and it was a nice atmosphere.

Found this gem! I saw a few interesting menu items while searching for restaurants in Laredo. I was greeted by friendly and accommodating staff and decided to sit at the bar since I was dining alone. The manager, Mauricio, asked if I had dined with them before. I said no and he explained some of the restaurant's concepts. I started with the appetizer that caught my attention from the website - Veracruzana Style Fresh Sea Bass Ceviche and also ordered The Baja Style Lobster Taco. The ceviche was a very generous portion of Sea Bass served with avocado and tostados. It came with a spoon which you will definitely want to use to capture every savory bite. The Lobster Taco was overflowing with lobster chunks, saffron rice, black beans, avocado and creamy chipotle plus a spicy tart salsa to top it off. The craftsman bartender, Miguel, was hard at work making fantastic beverages. I had the Smokey Guava -mezcal, guava nectar, lime & grapefruit juice, agave nectar & chia. It was exquisite! All of their juices are fresh squeezed... My entree was the Homemade Mole Poblano - smothered shredded chicken in the best mole that I have had since visiting deep interior Mexico decades ago. I have been searching for great mole ever since and they have all fallen short until now. 😋 Served with almond rice - almond slices not slivers. Overall the service and the food were perfect. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. Vegetarian options are available as well. The casual atmosphere is a welcome change for a fine dining experience!

Yelp
Highly recommend this establishment ! Very pleased with the service, food and ambiance ! The servers were very nice and helpful and quick to check on our table ! The food was fast and delicious ! My baby boy loved the pesto pasta and salmon as we shared it. My mom also ate all of her food as well and said how good it was. Will def be going again sometime in the near future !

Yelp
This is a classy restaurant in the north part of town, but it is also located near my client's site. It made for an easy choice when it came to a lunch option. The prices here are reasonable compared to Houston or Dallas, for example, but most everything is a la carte, so you can spend a lot quickly if not careful. My eyes were set on the seabass ceviche, so I know I had to have that. I also wanted a cocktail, but I remembered I had a long drive ahead of me, so I just opted for more food instead. I ordered the corn flake fried chicken sandwich. Ceviche - a nicely sized portion that comes with 2 crispy tortillas. Inside the ceviche are finely diced carrots, red onions and cucumbers, cilantro, sliced avocado, and numerous pieces of diced fish and lime juice at the bottom. 5/5 Chicken sandwich - served on a plate with 2 sliced yellow cherry tomatoes sitting face down. This has a large breast, with pickles and cole slaw. 3/5 This is my kinda place, and it seems fairly unusual to find a restaurant like this in Laredo of all places. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Laredo.

Yelp
The service was great, but it couldn't as great as the food. My burger was the bomb when it's well done.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food for lunch here today, but the reviews about poor service shouldn't be overlooked. Ordered the beet carpaccio, the tomato soup, and the chicken paillard from their 10th anniversary menu. The soup is killer - absolutely exceeded expectations. The salad was huge for eleven bucks and super fresh! I wasn't sold on the paillard - it's a special with corn, peaches, parm, and apparently chimichurri, though I didn't notice much. The sweetness of the corn and the peaches didn't totally go with the breading, but I was hungry and ate it all anyway. What really bummed me out was the service. I was a solo diner for a late lunch and was the only patron in the restaurant for most of my meal. After I finished my entree, I sat for about 45 minutes without being asked if I wanted anything else or being provided the check. Not for a lack of serving staff - there were at least four or five people laughing and chatting as they set up for dinner service. When my server noticed my card on the table and came over, I asked for a scoop of gelato and the check. I got my receipt shortly... and then waited seventeen minutes for dessert that never came before I crossed it off the check and walked out. I looked around for my server for several minutes before leaving, and he must have been in the back somewhere because I didn't see him again between having my check dropped at the table (and acknowledging my gelato should be on the way) and walking out. I've worked in fine dining and my partner has owned a few restaurants so I generally consider myself more tolerant than most when it comes to service blunders, and I overlooked the comments about poor service here for that reason. Unfortunate, because this was just not acceptable. I was finishing my chicken a few minutes after 3pm and walked out at 4:13. I'd order takeout but not dine in again.

Yelp
Have come here multiple times and I have enjoyed every single moment here. Perfect place for quick lunch or even for dinner with family. Great ambiance, staff are always quick. Lots of great options on the menu as well. Would recommend the roasted lemon chicken plate and the spinach artichoke dip. Maybe the plantain dip if you're into that! I'll forever love this place, my friends and family know it.

Yelp
I've been coming here as my go to spot trying different dishes and I can say the atmosphere is on point. The food is on point and the service is great. All of the food that I've had is good. The bar is great when it's full and is a sure way to get in quick. The dessert is amazing as well. Happy I found this place and I will keep coming back while I'm in Laredo.

Yelp
Love the ambiance, friendly staff and great food. Anything in the mami is delicious and nicely presented. I like finding seasonal dishes and drinks. We celebrated my daughter's 16 birthday with a large group and they were very nice and accommodated our requests.

Yelp
They took way to long for 3 sandwiches, and then they brought only one and 20 minutes later they brought the other two. The service wasn't that good. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Went to this restaurant for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and the ambiance inside the restaurant. We had the ceviche, spinach artichoke dip, tomato basil soup, and the sea bass and it was all delicious! 10/10 recommend. Our server was also very attentive and provided an amazing service.

Yelp
The food was 10/10. Hubby and I decided to share appetizers and I'm sorry we didn't take pics but we were so hungry that by the time I remembered to take pics the food was half way gone. We were greeted as soon as we walked, it's a small place but has a great atmosphere. Immediately the waiter came by and took my drink order. The Cumvertini was my 1st choice because I love cucumbers. It was refreshing and not overpowered with alcohol taste 10/10. The sea bass ceviche was so delicious too, served well with avocado and tostadas; great lemon taste and not fishy tasting at all. Next I ordered the Mexican Hipster, this one did have a stronger alcohol taste and gets a 7/10, still great but a little on the stronger side for me. Hubby got a Paloma and it was great for those that don't like sweet drinks 9/10. Next week ordered Ribeye Chicharron and I was not disappointed, it came on a bed of guacamole and topped with pico and side of lime and salsa. WOW! 10/10. Overall service was great, prices were reasonable and we were out in about 1 hour. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp when visiting my hubby who is stationed here. I live in Austin so my expectations are pretty darn high! The gals at our hotel also recommended this place too.. so we drive over, lots of parking and fun lights outside that gave me a good vibe! Loved the little details! We were greeted by a lovely gal and she told us we could sit anywhere we liked.. we chose a little 2 seater... loved the ambiance and the dim lighting... not good for my pictures you see but set the mood! We ordered their bottle of organic Pinot Noir and and we both enjoyed it! Also had a couple glasses of Prosecco and that was great too! We started off with the goat cheese stuffed jalapeño poppers, so good! Loved the hint of rosemary... the tuna cappacio was next with fresh greens, capers and parmesan.... the lobster taco!! the best! We shared it, so filling and good!!! That recommendation came from the manager .. he was so helpful, stopping by and checking on us. Christian was our server and he got busy... he was super helpful as well! Knew the menu and gave us recommendations .. he was super nice! We also had the ribeye chicharron with fresh guacamole, radish, sprouts... the fresh blue corn tortillas came out warm and they were great!! This restaurant has a mix of everything! Apparently the chef studied in Mexico and in New York...Great combination of flavors! We were celebrating my birthday since the hubby missed it due to work so we ordered dessert... we ordered the chocolate cake but they were out of it, bummer! But they recommended the lemon blueberry cheesecake and it did not disappoint. The manager gave us free ice cream :) This place was packed. They were busy! Great crowd.. we got there around 6ish and stayed til about 8pm... the hostess was super sweet... She came over to clean up and I asked her if we should leave to give our table and she was like no... just cleaning up... we didn't want to overstay to be fair... We truly enjoyed the people, the service and the food... The only thing I wish was that they ditch the masks... it takes away from the personal touch and it's hard to understand everyone when we are talking.... I know this goes against the majority but I think it's time... wearing masks while hustling and bustling.. working, talking... seems like they do more harm than good in the service industry.... That doesn't change anything... we loved it all and will be back! They have lots of organic choices.... I'm eyeing the pesto pasta salmon for next time and will definitely get another lobster taco!

Yelp
Went with a friend. She loves the salad, and that's a lot to say cause she hates eating healthy but she has to do it. Plus she's picky and she recommended it. So it must be good. I been eating salad all day so I opted for the soup. It was tomato soup that day. It was light, not too thick. Smaller portion than I like or so good I finished it before my sandwich arrived. We shared a sandwich cause I'm a light eater. And I have the say I don't like chicken but I liked this chicken sandwich. I think it had grapes, raisin or cranberry in it? We did choose wheat or panini bread vs I think the actual one it came with I think sour dough? I don't know. That's why I should I wrote this review soon but I see it in my draft so I'm doing it now. Unfortunately no room for dessert hopefully next time. Ty

Yelp
I found myself in Laredo, and came to Lolita's Bistro with a friend. As per my friend, the Eggs Benedict were great so I decided to order them. The wait staff member was friendly and suggested some items on the menu that he liked too. My selection was good and overall enjoyed my experience at Lolita's bistro. I will def make a stop when in Laredo.

Yelp
Decent food, POOR service. From other reviews it seems like a hit or miss for quality service, but decided to try either way based on the numerous positive reviews. Came here during brunch hours, but the wait didn't reflect business volumes. Took a seat and was given water. The waiter who brought the drinks seemed to disappear and our table was forgotten. The table next to us was seated well after and got their drinks, starters, and plates way before our table. Nearly 25-30 mins after being seated, our orders were finally taken after flagging down a different waiter. His response "Didn't know you haven't been helped yet." Ordered the brisket and grilled veggie plate. It was flavorful and moist. I would love to enjoy this place again but the mismanaged and disorganized service is very off putting. Food is decent, but the lack of attention left me with a foul taste. Get it together for your customers.

Kerr K.

Yelp
Food was wonderful, Ceviche and mole chicken. We were treated well, comfortable surroundings. Thank you for welcoming us.

Yelp
Lolita's Bistro is hands down one of the best restaurants in Laredo. The quality of ingredients and preparation is excellent -- everything I've tasted is incredible. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. And the restaurant atmosphere, especially at night, makes for a great place for a date.

Mathew N.

Yelp
Great food, elegant ambiance and marvelous service, its expensive but it worth it.

Yelp
A bit pricey but it's a local restaurant so I understand and the service was superb and the ceviche sea bass was amazing!

Yelp
Holy Mole! This place is sooooo good. He had the short ribs and fresh burrito. I had a lobster taco and mole poblano, which comes with homemade tortillas. Everything was exquisite, and the service was exceptional. The cocktails are also fun and good. We sat outside with our pup, and it was quite lovely.

Yelp
I had the lobster taco that was much better than last time. I enjoyed the house salad with cilantro dressing. What I couldn't get over was the sewage smell. Don't know if this was a one-time thing. Noise level was quite high. I'll try again.

Yelp
This place has great food, service, and ambience . Whether you are looking for a date night, friends, night out, or just a casual dinner, this place is perfect.

Yelp
As a newborn mom that cant leave the house yet I ordered the granola pancakes to go, pretty dissapointed when my husband got home to find I paid $22 dlls for four pancakes and not even one strawberry and well To my surprise 10 mins later and I find hair inside the pancakes! Pretty dissapointed and sad on Lolitas. I called to get a refund!

Yelp
Very tasty dinner. We had second thoughts when we were looking at the menu, but it was worth the wait. The tostadas have a delicious lemon flavor as well as the ceviche. A little too dark inside for my taste. We are having family dinner and there's a romantic atmosphere. Yes, I recommend it. I haven't been here in years, can't believe myself.

Yelp
This place came recommended by a Laredo airport employee. When I arrived, I realized I had been here before. Smallish dining area - about 20 tables and a bar area. Dimly lit with Bossa Nova music playing a little loud. I was allowed to seat myself so I chose a table for 2 booth combo. Comfortable. Two tables down were two elderly couples. I kept catching extremely bright flashes of light out the corner of my eye emanating from the senior table. All four had their iPhone flashlights ablaze to read the menu. Too dimly lit - obviously. One of their phones rang very loudly. Apparently the eyes were not the only thing going. The gentleman had to show everyone sitting at the table who was calling before answering the phone. Anyway, back to the review. I ordered the short rib plate - again based on the recommendation. A generous portion of meat arrived atop a bed of mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Two perfectly wilted asparagus stalks hugged the ribs. After taking my first bite, I wanted to hug something. It was INCREDIBLE. Hands down, the best meal I've had in Laredo. I ordered a house cab to compliment the meal. Good choice. I will recommend this dish to everyone I know that will be eating in Laredo. Thank you for cooking on another level.

Yelp
One more try! And the results were the same. I've gone to this restaurant at least five times. This last visit was beyond my control due to a friend's birthday party and she chose it. As usual, service was SLOW, food was lukewarm and not remarkable. I did enjoy the Ahí Tuna Carpaccio and it's presentation, I guess because it is a cold plate, nothing can spoil it. Another disappointment was when I ordered my Cuban Mojito I asked for a straw only to be told they do not use them anymore and no, there were no paper straws either. Now you tell me how is anyone going to enjoy drinking a mojito sans straw! I used my butter knife to muddle the mint while cringing with disappointment. Next! I ordered Pesto Pasta, but was served with Salmon which I did not order. The waiter quickly whisked it away and returned same plate without the Salmon and of course the pasta was super cold. Go next door to Bolillos, food is hot and a lot cheaper.

Yelp
This review is for brunch for two at the bar on a Sunday. service Although we sat at the bar, the bartender did not take care of us. The bar staff was super busy assembling cocktails, so a server took care of us. Certainly not a problem, but mildly interesting. That said, the service was very good. And there were lots of wait staff. Efficient and professional. bar Clearly a cocktail and wine place. Bloody Marys were spot on, especially the bacon garnish. Note: bloodies are Hair of the Dog on the cocktail menu. We watched all manner of cocktailing being built and this place is very focused on infusions, fresh ingredients and interesting interpretations of classics. If you're a cocktail person, this is your place. No real beer selections even in bottles. food We went with the three brunch Bs: bloodies, benedict and brisket. My wife's brisket was an immense portion with a nice side salad. My benedict was a faithful rendition of the standard. Great quality ingredients and solid preparation - even though the place was packed. details Restaurant is in sort of a strip mall and the shared parking areas were surprisingly packed on a Sunday. Restaurant space is relatively small and somewhat loud with concrete floor. Not a problem, but it might be a bit raucous for serious conversation during brunch.

Yelp
The atmosphere at this little restaurant was so unique and welcoming. There were lots of beautiful paintings and eye catching pieces of art. The service was wonderful as well! The tomato soup was full of flavor and they add some delicious croutons to top it off. The main entree I ordered was not too good. I was a little disappointed with the brisket there. The presentation was exemplary but it looked way more delicious than it tasted. I would still return and perhaps try another dish!

Yelp
This review is long overdue. My first time going to Lolita's was on Valentine's Day. My husband made the reservation but failed to communicate to him in advance that it was a fixed menu. I always like to look at the menu in advance but their website was down. We get to the restaurant and despite that we made a reservation, we still had to wait. They give us two menus- the regular menu and the Valentine's menu. Nothing in the Valentine's menu looked appetizing, so we ordered through the regular one and the waitress said that it was a fixed menu. We told her that no one told us when we made the reservation, their website was down, and no one told us when handed the menus. Her response was, "well it was on our Instagram". No offense but I'm not going to take the time to follow or look up a restaurant's Instagram when their website wasn't even working. We walked up and left but decided to give it another try later in the week. We had a better experience, even the manager apologized to us. So we decided to come the week after for my birthday. It was a 30 minute wait initially, perfectly fine. 30 min later... nothing. We call and they say it will be another 45 minutes!! I told them that we have already been waiting for 30 and they told me to hold. They said they would give me another call in about 15 min. 15 min later... no call. I waited another 5 min and called and they said that they were clearing our table and that it shouldn't be more than 10 min. At this point, I've been waiting for an hour. On my birthday. I waited 10 more minutes and at that point I just gave up, because it was late and everything was closed at this point so I wound up going home. Hungry. Disappointed as hell. On my birthday. I called to say that I wanted my name off the list and the girl simply said, "okay" and hung up. My husband wanted to go for our one year wedding anniversary and I laughed because this restaurant already ruined my first Valentine's Day with my husband, there is no way in hell I'm going to let this restaurant ruin my first wedding anniversary too. The food is not worth the wait.

Yelp
Been here a few times and it is an excellent establishment. Way out of Laredo's league, I'd venture to say this place is the best Laredo has to offer in well executed cuisine. They definitely have their shit together, you can expect a well presented, delicious meal here. . Brunch is always a favorite too, bring on the mimosas! Get there early before the church crowd comes pouring in. Lolita's is one of the only places in Laredo for the discerning appetite, they fit the over achieving mold. Thank you Lolita's

Yelp
This place is small but worth the wait! I ordered the chorizo chilaquiles and a michelada. When the chilaquiles first came out I was a little worried because it looked really small but it was actually really filling and tasty! The michelada was the best one I had in that city!

Yelp
Excellent service and food. It's hard to pay higher prices when eating out these days, but Lolitas is worth every penny. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We ordered the chicken and waffles w/a side of bacon and stuffed Nutella banana french toast. The waffle tasted similar to the ones you'd get for free at a hotel and the chicken tenders were crisp and juicy but lacked a unique flavor. The French toast was mushy and not as flavorful as we would have hoped, too much banana, not enough french toast and Nutella. I would've given 3 stars for the food alone but because our service was utterly lacking I had to remove a star. Before we got to the restaurant we scoped out the menu so we were ready to order immediately. Our waiter, NOEL, took our drink and lunch order at the same time, we saw him again when our food came out, and then never again after that. Well we saw him around the restaurant chatting with coworkers but not actually tending to his tables. We had to stop another waitress just to get our check to leave. All in all we probably won't be back, if you go I hope your service is better than ours.

Yelp
The food was okay. Had a steak and it was cooked right. But ordered dessert crepes with strawberry and Nutella and it was definitely not Nutella. It was something like Hershey's chocolate sauce. Not good at all and for the price they were, it was not expected. There was a live DJ and it was super loud. Would not recommend this place if you have a large party (more than 5 people), if you cannot see read in dark places or if you'd like to have a conversation cause you won't be able to hear anything.

The food is amazing! The service was on point definitely looking forward to coming back soon

Yelp
Got take out from here last night. My husband's lobster taco and tuna carpaccio salad were amazing he said. I got the Mexican Chicken Tostadas and they were absolutely awful. The chicken was so bland and flavorless the best way to describe it was if you boiled a chicken breast and shredded it and that's it. Not a single seasoning to be found. The cold thin black bean spread (flavorless), bland flavorless chicken, and small 1 slice of avocado per tostado definitely didn't amount to the cost. I ended up eating only one and couldn't even stomach the rest. Would not recommend ordering those at least.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try Lolita's Bistro for over a year but plans always seemed to change when we were going to go. We finally decided to give it a shot just to see how good this place actually was and we left disappointed to say the least. If I had to describe this place I would definitely say it's overrated and over priced. First of all, the service was terrible; we got seated quickly upon arriving but shortly after that 2 more groups of people arrived and they got served before we did. We had to ask the lady greeting people at the door when we were going to be served because we were literally just sitting there for 15 minutes. We also had no idea what menu to look at... we just figured it was the online menu but no one came and told us exactly how things worked there. After 15-20 minutes of just sitting there we finally got our waters and my boyfriend ordered a Diet Coke and that took another 10-15 minutes. The waiter came back empty handed and asked if we had been served completely forgetting that he had already came to our table. We were looking around at everyone else and our table seemed to be the only one not being served properly. Besides that the biggest disappointment of all was my boyfriends plate. He ordered the Steak and Frites because he absolutely loves steak and he asked for it to be cooked medium but it came back well-done. He described it was very chewy and lacked flavor. He didn't complain because he simply does not like sending food back out of respect for the chefs, and out of respect for the restaurant and the waiter my boyfriend still left a tip even though I felt it wasn't necessary. After this we will sadly not be going back.
