The Best Food at Seattle’s Pike Place Market | Eater Seattle

"Walk down the Pike Street Hill Climb until you see a space that looks like a cross between a greenhouse and a living room — that’s how you know you’ve stumbled on what might be the only Portuguese restaurant in Seattle. The Lonely Siren is technically a cocktail bar but what qualifies as bar food here is dinner-worthy: grilled sardines, pasteis de bacalhau (salt cod fritters), porco a alentejana (braised pork cheeks with clams), and batatas bravas, a must-order stack of thinly-sliced potatoes." - Harry Cheadle

The Least-Awful Downtown Seattle Bars - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Portuguese tapas spot is meant for spontaneity, with easy-to-secure seats in a moody space and a few bites worthy of lingering. Alongside tasty drinks, there’s a mustard-slathered steak sandwich that’s tender like a burger, and crisp salt cod-stuffed croquettes we’d eat solely as vehicles for the tangy olive tartar. Use Lonely Siren as a solid walk-in option for homemade cherry liqueur-spiked cocktails and snacks with a small group of friends." - aimee rizzo

Lonely Siren - Review - Pike Place Market - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Since Pike Place is such an overrun tourist’s playpen, it can be tough to secure last-minute meal plans. Thankfully, this Portuguese tapas spot is meant for spontaneity, with easy-to-secure seats in a moody space and a few bites worthy of lingering. Alongside tasty drinks, there’s a mustard-slathered steak sandwich that’s so tender it eats like a burger, and crisp salt cod-stuffed croquettes we’d eat solely as vehicles for the tangy olive tartar. Weaker links are the rubbery, bland octopus salad and the patatas bravas (served pave-style) that we wish were deep-fried instead of seared on one side. Though the bar’s hit-or-miss small plates likely won’t add up to a full-fledged dinner, Lonely Siren is a solid walk-in option for cocktails and snacks with a small group of friends." - Aimee Rizzo

New Seattle Restaurant The Lonely Siren Serves Portuguese Food in Pike Place Market | Eater Seattle

"I found Lonely Siren tucked into Pike Place Market near the Hill Climb to be a Portuguese-inspired taberna that balances rustic bar food with refined, technique-driven dishes. Head chef Randal Ventura—who learned at Le Cordon Bleu Seattle and worked at Copperleaf, Aqua by El Gaucho and Pub 70—bases the menu on flavors his grandmother Ana from the Azores taught him, but deliberately keeps the cooking creative rather than strictly traditional. Standouts range from grilled whole sardines and pasteis de bacalhau to luxurious porco a alentejana (braised pork cheeks with clams) served with papo seco for sopping up the rich broth; crowd-pleasers include piri piri chicken wings and a classic bifana sandwich. The batatas bravas is a must-order: a 17-layer block of wafer-thin potatoes and shredded manchego that’s parbaked, pressed for 24 hours, fired in a Wood Stone oven and finished with smoked onion soubise and a red pepper bravas sauce, delivering a shattering exterior and tender interior. The full bar, led by Sean Wornstaff, features house-made ginja (served neat or in a mulled sangria) and a photogenic porto tonico. Co-owner Brandi Sather warmed the interior with deep red and black paint, padded wooden seating and plants, and even softened the connected glass conservatory with upholstered chairs and rugs, creating a cozy, personable “fine dive” vibe. During a soft-opening period the team has been experimenting with playful specials like a “Nata McRib” and plans a brunch with a Francesinha; they emphasize in-house bread and an ethos of “Portuguese-inspired; not pretentious.” Lonely Siren is open inside Pike Place Market near the Hill Climb from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and from noon to 11:30 Thursday through Sunday." - Mark DeJoy

The small plates make for a perfect highly varied dinner! We loved the pork-pops chicken and smashed marble potatoes! To cocktail variety is really perfection, all tastes are accommodated including my husbands sweet tooth’s and my preference for something a bit more dry. The lady of Lourdes cocktail was specifically well balanced and delicious if you enjoy a martini.

Lonely Siren was, as usual, a fantastic experience. Excellent food, drinks and service. Lonely Siren is such a wonderful place to meet with friends and share an unforgettable evening. Chef Randal delivers a unique Portuguese culinary feast and the “Oh-so-delicious Pastel de Nata” for dessert. Lonely Siren is suitable for a date night, friends get-togethers or a business dinner. Come by and let Chef Randal suggest his favorites to you. You will enjoy and want to return over and over. 5 starts are too few ❤️

What a siren! One of my favorite spots in the city. Great location tucked in the market. Excellent food. Shishito peppers and Shrimp were amazing. Note: you can’t see the waterfront from here. The photo with the view is taken from above showing the place with respect to the market.

Google
Took my wife and niece here. They recommended it as it’s my first time in Seattle. I loved this place. It’s a hidden gem. You’ll need to walk down a few flights of stairs from Pike Place. As someone who lived in Madrid for years, I appreciate good tapas. Tons of flavors here! Staff is friendly but not overwhelming.

Google
Review I’m glad I was there and I’m already looking forward to going back. Since I moved to Seattle 10 years ago I’ve been craving for a good tapas place with authenticity in culinary craft without pretentious atmosphere. Here I found that resolution. The Batatas Bravas was excellent in all fronts: the visual , textual and aromatic. Instead of traveling thousands of miles to pursue that quality , Lonely Siren brought mastery to the Seattle backyard. Lulas, squid in garlic source was cooked to perfection, just the right squid dish, simple and not associated with rubbery texture. The source is balanced with brightness, garlic and buttery, it’s a crime to waste any of that without soaking up with their home made, warm papo seco. The smashed burger they were running as a weekly special was a gift to experience: the bold flavors, complex textures offered by caramelized onions, spam, paper-thin charred potato made every single bite sound of music. I love cooking and I love eating, I have been looking for real 5 star restaurants in Seattle and this is a solid keeper.

The food was amazing and very flavorful! However the portions were rather disappointing for how long of a wait we had as well as price. Was a nice place with a cool atmosphere. I recommend if you enjoy international drinks and unique entrees.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem with Incredible Portuguese Flavors!** If you're exploring Pike Place and craving bold flavors and creative cocktails, **Lonely Siren** is a must-visit! This Portuguese-style tavern on **Level 2** is a bit tucked away (pro tip: enter from the **waterfront side** to make finding it easier), but it’s absolutely worth the hunt. The food here is phenomenal—don’t miss the **pimenta shisheto** (spicy, smoky, and addictive), the **cogumelos salteados** (garlicky sautéed mushrooms that melt in your mouth), the juicy **steak skewers**, and the **crispy batatas** (perfectly golden and seasoned). Every bite is packed with flavor! And if you love a little heat, their **piri piri chicken poppers** are a must—packed with flavor and just the right kick or the classic sandwich cannot go wrong For drinks, their **Vasco Baril** and **Siren Song** are fantastic house specialties, but their cocktail menu has plenty of other unique options that pair perfectly with the food. The vibe is cozy and inviting, with a touch of maritime charm that fits the Pike Place atmosphere. Whether you're stopping in for a drink and a snack or settling in for a full meal, **Lonely Siren delivers an unforgettable experience**. Highly recommend!

May 14, 2025, We had a reservation this evening at Lonely Siren to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. Tucked away in a somewhat hidden spot, this gem of a restaurant offers a vibrant and cozy atmosphere with a beautifully designed covered interior patio that sets the mood just right. While parking can be a bit of a challenge, there are several paid lots nearby that make it manageable. From the start, the service was attentive and welcoming. Although the restaurant’s policy states that a 20% gratuity is added for groups of six or more, we were a party of five and still had it included in our bill. While this was a bit unexpected, the service truly was exceptional, so we didn’t mind. We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and everything we tasted was absolutely delicious. For Petiscos, we enjoyed Bread, Marinated Olives, Marcona Almonds, House Pickles, Crushed Marbles (punched marble potatoes with molho cru and sea salt), Conservas Portuguesas (tinned Portuguese sardines with crostini), Fries with Eyes (whole fried Spanish anchovies with garlic aioli and lemon), Pimento Shishito (blistered shishito peppers with lemon and smoked paprika), and crispy Brussels Sprouts tossed in herb vinaigrette and fried shallots. Moving on to the shareable dishes, we savored Grilled Pineapple with sea salt, and Batatas Bravas — crispy potatoes dressed in bravas sauce and smoked manchego soubise. We also ordered Shrimp Mozambique (in sofrito, vinho verde, and piri piri), the tender and flavorful Spanish Octopus served with baby potatoes and molho cru, Pasteis de Bacalhau (salt cod croquettes with olive tartar and lemon), Lulas (sautéed squid with garlic, shallots, vinho verde, and lemon), Grilled Sardines, and Clams cooked with vinho verde, linguica, garlic, and herbs, served with grilled sourdough bread. Every bite was well-prepared, balanced, and rich in flavor. The prices were reasonable, especially for the quality and portion sizes. The ingredients tasted fresh, the presentation was thoughtful, and the restaurant itself was very clean. From the ambiance to the food and the friendly staff, Lonely Siren delivered an incredible experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Portuguese-inspired flavors in a beautiful, relaxed setting. We’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
Great happy hour spot! Was hungry & thirsty midafternoon on a Monday and wanted to check out their happy hour. It was well worth the scavenger hunt to find this lovely spot on Floor 2 of the Fish Market. They had $5 draft brews that were unique and good! I had to try the smash burger on the happy hour menu, and it was delicious! We also shared the Brussels sprouts, which were amazing. The ambiance was cozy and eclectic, but plenty of space to sit at the bar or the window. Amado (bartender) & Catalina (hostess/server) were both wonderful; kind and welcoming. Had a great time & would definitely recommend stopping in to the Lonely Siren if you're in the area and looking to try some unique and delicious food! Enjoy!

Yelp
If you're looking for a small plate tapas plate where you can try a variety of items you may want to consider this: The food is very oily/buttery and very rich. If you're sensitive to this get one dish and the bread and call it an evening. Service was fine, ambiance was good. And the overall price was acceptable.

Yelp
Lonely Siren is easily one of our favorite spots in town. The food is always incredible, with plenty of amazing choices--though the fresh bread, perfectly cooked steaks, and Tempranillo wine are our personal standouts. Dessert is a must every time! This was our fourth visit, and we've even brought friends along twice--it never disappoints. The staff is warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the eclectic atmosphere makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. A true gem that we'll keep coming back to again and again.

Yelp
It's such a hidden gem! Went here for a girls night on Friday. I wasn't expecting the food at a bar to be this good. We had the batatas bravas and Brussels sprouts.. and bunch of other dishes.. everything was delicious and tapas style. For drinks we had smoke in the garden and lady of lourdes. both were 10/10. My sick friend tried Poncha drink which was too good. Smoke in the garden had that perfect balance of smoky and citrusy (and yuss my love for mezcals came back in full force). The lady of lourdes was so unique with herbal notes. Presentation was 10/10. The vibe was perfect; not too loud music. You can catch up without shouting over music and talk. Service was friendly!

Yelp
The Loney Siren is an awesome sort of hidden spot in Pike Place Market. We were lured there by some fun instagram videos! I enjoyed drinks in their little atrium/patio and it was lovely! The bartenders were very welcoming and friendly. They have a pretty good happy hour deal and great, creative cocktails. I didn't try the food.

Yelp
So nice, I ate here twice! Landed in Seattle and wanted to treat myself to a nice birthday dinner and drink after a day of exploring. As I searched, this caught my eye for Portuguese dishes! The octopus with the potatoes was so delicious! There was so much on the menu I wanted to try so I went back for the bifana and obviously another cocktail. The bartenders were great! Offering recommendations and just so kind overall. I loved the vibe of the place and plenty of seating options! I had a great start to my trip here and had to hold back from visiting every day

Yelp
Stopped by once before after the kitchen was closed. Glad we stopped today. The food was deliciously special. The Crushed Marble Potatoes were the best take on Potatoes Bravos that we have had. The salty vinegary flavor was killer. Pickled vegetables were flavorful and fresh. The seared scallop special was perfectly seared - rich but not too rich. We finished it off with the grilled sardines which just flaked off the bone. We will be back!! BTW... Sorry about the partially eaten plates. : )
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite places for anything meat-driven. For an app, the marinated olives are to die for, as are their House pickles. Shrimp Mozambique is genuinely my favorite; the clams are so good, and the grilled sardines are amazing! Once, the octopus was tender; the last time, tough. Batatas Bravas are amazing, Crushed Marbles - who doesn't love good potatoes! Favorites: Steak Skewers, Piri-Pops, and Kale salad. Keep up the good work! I look forward to dining with you again soon.

Yelp
We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant -- I had read great reviews and looked through the photos several times before our visit. Unfortunately, while the food was solid, the overall experience was overshadowed by extremely poor service. It took over 40 minutes to receive a cocktail, and our food was served before any drinks arrived -- something I've never experienced in a sit-down restaurant. I understand that places get busy, but there should be procedures in place to ensure guests still feel taken care of. To their credit, they did try to make it right by taking 10% off the bill. But to be honest, that felt like a minimal gesture considering how disappointing the experience was. I'm not a combative person, but at that point, someone from leadership really should have stepped in and taken full responsibility for how the night went. It's a shame, because I had such high hopes for this place -- but unfortunately, the service left a lasting negative impression.

Yelp
Ok, first let me say this place is soo cozy vibey. I feel like I'm in a movie when I dine/drink here. I never like to comment on the looks of waitstaff, but everyone employed here belongs in a modeling catalog, seriously. The people here are friendly and the service is good, which I love because a lot of places are hit and miss downtown. My only problem was the drinks! I am not an experimental person, and I feel like this place is way better suited for those who are. I didn't really like my cocktail, because even though it was supposed to be fruity, it was definitely more straight forward than I would've liked. My friend didn't like hers either, something about a note in it that tasted rancid in the aftertaste. I would like to come back and give this place another try, but I will stick to something basic and off menu like a screwdriver maybe. If you are someone who really looks forward to exploring new flavor combinations, you would love this place.

Yelp
I went to Lonely Siren for their happy hour on Tuesday and will 100% be going back. We had the marinated olives, burger, and for dessert had the pastel de nata and cinnamon ice cream. The food was all amazing, I'm excited to go back and try more of their dishes. The pastel de nata was warm and crispy. All of their cocktails looked amazing. The service was very kind and professional, they give you space to just sit and enjoy. The ambiance was very nice - there was inside seating and outdoor covered seating. Nice mood lighting. Definitely would recommend after shopping in Pike Place! Also definitely worth the trip even if you aren't already in the area.

Yelp
Lonely siren is conveniently located in pike place market and serves lots of tapas with a good ambiance. We came for happy hour and got their mushrooms, bofani sandwich, marinated pickled vegetables and siren smash burger. The food was good! It was all a bit heavy though so we ordered the pickled vegetables halfway into the meal. The pickled vegetables were just like the ones you buy in the store so nothing special but did help to cut through the grease. The siren smash burger is only available during happy hour I believe but it was super good and worth it for the price! The service was good here and I really enjoyed the inside of this restaurant. We got seated on the balcony and it had a great view!
google avatar

Ploy N.

Yelp
A very cool and cozy bar spot tucked away in the lower level of Pike Place Market. I love how they have a greenhouse section to enjoy the sunnier days but the inside is also very vibey. Menu features numeral unique drinks and tapas-style dishes. All the drinks we got lookd and tasted amazing. Dishes from surrounding tables look wonderful as well, we'll definitely need to try some next time. Service was friendly and fun. Lovely all around.
google avatar

Chenie X.

Yelp
Discovered this gem in the Pike Place Market. Perfect spot to have a chill happy hour, away from the crowds and noises. We came shortly after it opened, so not sure how busy it would get later in the day. We got Shell-o shots, which is pretty novel and dangerous because you can easily have too much as it doesn't taste like alcohol. We each had a cocktail which was tasty! Can't comment on food as we came after lunch. The decor has a vintage feel with different comfy chairs to choose. Service was good. Definitely a good spot to bring friends and family who are visiting from out of town!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot away from the bustle of the waterfront/Pike Place. Great happy hour smash burger and delish Brussels. I recommend. It's on level 2 which takes a little work to find. Good luck
google avatar

Kassandra M.

Yelp
Ugh, I love this place so much. I've been several times but I'm just getting around to reviewing it and I sincerely apologize because the world should know. It's a bit hidden in Pike Place, best access is to turn towards the market near ghost alley espresso and head down the stairs to left. Once inside, it's such a vibey and cozy spot especially on a rainy day. When it's sunny, though, and the windows are open, also 10/10. At this point I've had several dishes here but I keep coming back to the tinned sardines; they are just so delicious with the side of pickled veggies and I will order them every single time. I've always had wonderful service, as well!!

Yelp
The people who work here are super nice! I would say this is upscale but not bougie, and not too touristy despite its location. Like, they'll sell you a $20 cocktail if you want but also a tin of sardines. For best experience in terms of food, I'd suggest going with 3-4 people, but I went by myself and it was still pretty good. There's a nice covered outdoor eating space too, which is somewhat unusual for this area

Yelp
Lonely Siren is such a hidden gem! Located on the second floor behind Pike Place, you can make a reservation but they also take walk-ins. They have great happy hour prices for drinks and a few snack options as well. We had the clams and the kale salad, both of which were delicious. Super cute date spot or just girls night out!
google avatar

Yelp
We had come in for happy hour on a Thursday, the place was not busy at all and we were able to seat ourself. The prices on happy hour are VERY reasonable, especially in pike place, and you can get a pretty nice view from here. The burger was the perfect pairing with our drinks.

Yelp
Went here at around 6 on a Saturday night and they were able to fit us right away. We got seated on the inside section which seems to be busier, the atrium area was mainly empty except for 2 groups. We ordered a bunch of drinks and food and they came out pretty quickly. I've been here before but this is my first time getting the seared octopus and the fries with eyes and these were def my favorite things I've gotten there. I feel like the seared octopus was good but to me it was a bit pricey for how much you get, I feel like the plate looks like you get more than you do bc of how they decorate it and arrange it it. Overall I did enjoy it here and would go back and get these dishes. The service was very nice, they accidentally gave us 1 too little plates and were very fast when we notified them. It did take a bit to get their attention but it looked like they were busy
google avatar

Yelp
Service was top notch. The bar and restaurant were pretty empty when I arrived. I just wanted to read my book and have some wine. The server was helpful, friendly, and shared that he personally made the bread each night recommended the pork sandwich. It was amazing- super generous portions. Generous pour on the happy hour wine. The view from my seat was great, I could people-watch or look at the water. I mostly read but it was nice to have the option.

Yelp
I was really excited when I heard about this new Portuguese inspired spot in Seattle, I don't think we have any other Portugese restaurant here! We stopped by on a Tuesday evening and were able to snag a spot by the window. We could recognize few of the dishes on the menu from our trip to Portugal. The cocktails looked interesting too. They have a great NA selection too. We ordered the piri piri wings, tinned sardine, Brussels sprouts and prego no pao. Most dishes are on the smaller size and are meant for sharing. The peri peri sauce was so tasty, it was our favorite. I got the lonely sangria, it was perfect for the warm day. Their happy hour looked good too, I'd probably check that out next time!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here last night for a date night and we absolutely adored this place! The staff here was super sweet and helpful. We got four plates and it was very filling. We ordered the Batatas Brava, Pasteis De Bacalhau, Lulas, and Bifana Sandwich. We loved all the dishes!! It's also very pretty inside with lots of lights and cozy decor!

Agnes K.

Yelp
Despite taking us some time to find the place from the Pike Market, we think it's totally worth it! The ambiance was amazing at night, service was great and the food and drinks are amazing!
google avatar

Harold C.

Yelp
The food: amazing! The staff: super friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The wait time: long. This is not fast food. These are well designed dishes that will leave you wanting more. The wait staff does what they can. Found out that there's no manager so during peak hours, they scramble. If you come, I recommend coming after dinner rush.

Yelp
What a gem!! Stopped in for a glass of wine and couldn't have been happier with our decision. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
the atmosphere is nice and it's a cute date spot by the Pike place The bravas was crispy and hot. Piri pops was crispy and well cooked. Overall it's a good restaurant but it is definitely a bit pricier on the end given the service.
google avatar

Ally W.

Yelp
Lonely Siren is one of those hidden non-touristy spots, which is rare considering that it is located right inside Pike's Place Market. The entrance is inconspicuous; it is located on Level 2 of the market. It's like a speakeasy. A local friend took me here. There was a nice selection of cocktails and mocktails. I got the Tiki-Bucha (pineapple kombucha, muddled mint, lime juice, orgeat, and almond milk) and it was yummy. I did not have any of the food, but their bar bites looked good. I would return for another drink...now that I know exactly where it is!

Yelp
Cute Portuguese inspired restaurant in Pike Place. Came on a Thursday night for date night. Servers/bartenders were all friendly and attentive. We ordered a good selection of small plates to share. Batatas bravas was my favorite! I loved both the sauce that came with it. I also enjoyed the steak skewers with kale chimichurri. We ordered papo seco and I ended up dipping the bread into the kale chimichurri sauce from the steak strewers. The grilled sardines and Spanish octopus both came with Molho cru. The molhu cru was so flavorful and tangy but the grilled sardines and punch potatoes from the octopus dish were too salty for me. I think I drank at least 4 cups of water throughout my meal. We ended our meal with Ana's Pastel de Nata and cinnamon ice cream. The sweetness helped balanced out it the saltiness from the meal. Overall, this place is a 3.5/5 for me. Totally will be back to try their other dishes!

Yelp
New favorite restaurant in Seattle for me goes to Lonely Siren. So unexpected! Normally I am hesitant for restaurants in tourist areas but this one hits even though in the busy market. Amazing bartenders and delicious Portuguese food. First and foremost, the beautiful Batatas Bravas people! They subbed standard potatoes with a potato pave those thin layers of delicate potato swimming in bravas and soubise sauce! The octopus salad was lovely as was the clams in vinho verde and fresh dill. Their espresso martini has brandy, licor43 and nutmeg! And the ginja liqueur was a perfect finisher! The service is sweet and helpful, the digs airy yet cozy, and most importantly delicious, check them out!
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
The service was really good, despite how busy they were. They gave some great recommendations and were friendly without compromising efficiency. The drinks are fairly varied, but definitely more gin options given the Portuguese influence. The food was fine as well, but it's a unique take on the patatas bravas, with it being more a quiche or potato cake slice bravas. The ambiance was really cool both inside and in the greenhouse patio. It was quite warm in the afternoon with the sun beating down, but the people watching and general aesthetic/ambiance was worth it.

Yelp
Lonely Siren is Seattle's best-kept secret - if you can find it. (Pro tip: enter from the waterfront side and look for the unassuming staircase to Level 2 - it's worth the hunt.) This dimly lit nautical tavern serves magic in cast-iron skillets: piri-piri poppers that'll make you gasp, steak skewers so tender they should be illegal, and batatas that crunch like autumn leaves. The Vasco Baril cocktail transported me to Lisbon, while the bartender's stories about Portuguese gin traditions made me cancel my next three plans. Came for dinner, left with new friends and an urgent need to learn Portuguese swear words. Just promise me you'll sit at the copper bar and ask about the shisheto peppers

Such a beautiful hidden find within Pike Place, I would gatekeep if I could! Great happy hour deals from 3-5 with the best selection of unique drinks, friendliest staff, and Portuguese dishes. Especially loved the frozen tiny martini, $5 glasses of wine, aperol spritz, crispy and fluffy patatas bravas, mussels, sweet grilled pineapple, marinated olives, bread, and juicy pickled burger. Will be returning!

Yelp
This was by far our favorite meal Of our trip to Seattle. It was a little tricky to find in Pike Place but it was lovely atmosphere, wonderful service and the food was wonderful.

Yelp
Excellent cocktails and great offering of Portuguese wines, at decent prices to boot! The good: -batata brava was awesome. Lovely presentation and unctuous sauces. The prep of something like this takes a while and there's a lot more bites than meet the eye. - the bifana was downright delicious, simple yet exactly what I was looking for. It's a classic Portuguese food that doesn't need sussing up. - in house baked bread, the sandwiches just wouldn't be the same without it. - mushrooms were meaty and had a wonderful texture. - pasteis de bacalhau was simple but tasted just like something you'd get in Portugal. The bad: - the clams were a let down. They add wine to them but don't let the wine cook down first before adding the clams so you get a boozy, unappetizing broth. Wish they would just do it like in Portugal - a ton of garlic, cilantro and using the juices of the clams to be the broth. Oh well, can't win em all. Will be back to try the prego!

Yelp
Food service and ambience was awesome The octopus was extremely well cooked tender but not overcooked and with and exceptional crust. Sardines were really good with a great flavor

Yelp
In a space previously occupied by Shama, the Lonely Siren is a Portuguese inspired bar/restaurant hidden below at Pike Place Market. Stopped by for a light bite and some drinks, and really enjoyed my first visit. Started off with Vascos Barril - barrel aged rye, ruby port reduction, Cynar. I loved this Manhattan-styled drink, and the whole bar set up is lovely. I also tried batatas bravas - crispy potatoes, bravas sauce, smoked onion soubise, which had a great presentation and flavors. Will definitely return but first impressions were great and another lovely bar at the Market!

Yelp
We talked to a bunch of downtown locals and they had never heard of it even though it is just below the Market. From the main level, you can take a semi secret elevator that almost drops you off in the restaurant. Kinda sketch but also kinda fun. It was pretty empty when we were there but the food was really well prepared and tasty. Drinks are great, too, making it perfect for some socializing with some apps if that's what you're looking for. My phone died so wasn't able to take pics but I will next time.

Yelp
This is one of my top three favorite Seattle restaurants. I love the delicious food and all the plant-based options, the way it's served (many sharing plates), the location, and the relaxed and creative ambiance. I docked one star because I didn't see any evidence of soundproofing--all hard surfaces, no sound-absorbing ceiling tiles--and it will be cacophonous when this place catches on.

Yelp
When we entered the restaurant, the staff did not acknowledge our presence. The restaurant had less than 10 people so it was empty. After a while, we asked if we should just sit anywhere. Then they just told us to wait then we asked again and they said yes (barely). 15 minutes into sitting and looking at the menu from our phone (because they did not give us a menu), we walked away. The restaurant was beautiful inside and the food looked good so it was very unfortunate.

Yelp
The food, drinks and service were great. There was no air conditioning so beware on a hot day.

Yelp
Cute/new little restaurant found at the second floor of the market. If you're looking for a quick bite and some drinks, this would be the perfect spot for small plates. The service was very attentive. Sadly, during my visit - there were only two workers there so it was a little while before I got my order. That didn't take away from the cuteness of the environment, and the batatas bravas! This was the highlight for me. A nice crispy potato with bravas sauce and smoked onion soubise! I could eat 20 of these in one sitting. The Prego sandwhich was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall, fun experience for eating out alone!

Yelp
Wow! The Portuguese tapas here is truly next level. Do yourself a huge favor and get the octopus or batatas bravas, the layers are just masterfully done. Cocktails are well crafted with plenty of classics like a flawlessly executed perfect martini or old fashioned along with from fresh and fun signature drinks. LS is one of the best places in the market for a relaxing bite or a bottle of prosecco. The service is arguably the best in the market.

Yelp
Really good tapas, some nice drinks as well. You can get the views of Puget Sound if you get the right seat. Nice spot in the middle of Pike Place - good music, vibe check passed.
