Came in today (Tuesday June 10, 2025) around 12:30pm while visiting the gardens. What a great day to have lunch on the patio. The weather was perfect for us anyway and we got to sit on the patio, under the roof of the restaurant and enveloped in the gorgeous green canopy of the beautiful botanical gardens. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated even though there were many open tables. After being seated we waited about 15 minutes for our server. There seemed to be only 2 or possibly 3 servers for the whole restaurant so perhaps they had a staffing shortage today. Luckily we happened to get the best server ever by the name of Ajeema, who is extremely pleasant, professional and efficient. We had already chosen our appetizers and entrees so we were able to give our orders right away. The food came out pretty quickly once we ordered which was great. For an appetizer to share we had the Tartare of Beef, which was wagyu beef, bone marrow, chanterelle and egg yolk and anchovie aioli with chips. The flavor of this was incredible, you could faintly taste every little ingredient, but they were distinct and yet melded together well. Next appetizer we had the poached pear/coppa de corse flatbread, which is basically pizza. This dish is incredibly good. I can say I’m not sure if there was a pear flavor, it’s hard to describe the flavor really, but it was incredibly fresh and tasty with a very light crust, topped with arugula. Really enjoyed this “pizza”. Our entree was the fish and chips which normally is “halibut “ and fries, but they had no halibut so substituted with rainbow trout. There’s a big difference between halibut and rainbow trout but we bit the bullet and tried it. The trout was fresh tasting enough but the breading/crust really took away from the flavor, and it was very dry. As for the fries, I’m not big on fries but these were very unique. I couldn’t describe the flavor exactly, it was if they were seasoned with some kind of spices you might find on a piece of chicken or maybe even fish (?), again I’m not sure but they were extremely fresh, very tasty and incredibly light with very little grease for french fries. We just had waters with our meals since we would be walking the gardens after. So for 3 small dishes and waters we paid $64. We probably should have not ordered the fish and chips since they didn’t have halibut so that was a disappointment. Our server Ajeema was the spotlight of the visit. If more restaurants had staff members of such caliber the world would be a better place. Since it was my friend’s birthday today and Ajeema’s birthday is also close she was nice enough to bring out a small pastry to celebrate; man that was like the absolute best thing ever and really made our day! Thanks again Ajeema and hope you have the best birthday ever! Parking is ample and of course the location and atmosphere is impeccable. Definitely recommend.

🥰🥰 We had an absolutely DIVINE lunch. My girlfriend and I decided to have a girls day at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and we stopped here halfway through our tour. We were seated immediately and the staff was friendly and prompt. The ambience was wonderful... the temperature was perfect... seats comfortable. The food and drinks were top tier.

I had a great time dining here for lunch. There was no wait and we sat on the patio. Luckily, there were bugs flying around. Our server Ajeema was great! She was nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. The dishes are plated so beautifully and with attention to detail. The drinks were very high quality. Kudos to the bartender, they have the standard of a mixologist. I didn’t like that the hostess told us that it’ll cost an extra $25 to sit on the patio. We almost didn’t stay cuz what restaurant charges to sit on a patio? She said she was joking but she should stick to her day job and not comedy. The duck confit was okay, I’ve had better tasting duck.

We had made a reservation for 12:30 PM. It was after 11 AM and the restaurant let us be seated early. After we were seated the restaurant got busier. The service was great. The water was delicious. It was purified water kept in glass bottles. There isn't a vegan entree. I got the portobello mushroom tartare. The top layer of mushroom was savory. The level under was creamy. The tomato mixture around the tartare really added to the dish. The spring vegetable medley was very good. The light sauce made it even better. The roasted carrot hummus was very nice. Everything was played well but the roasted carrot hummus dish was the nicest visually. The restaurant being in the garden was also nice.

Wow! This was not what I was expecting! A real chef, excellent food, everything was great! Orders at our table included Poach Asian Pear and Blue Crab Salad, Halibut and Lump Crabcake Sandwich, plus Smoked Portebello Tatare. I also had a Gate City IPA, I'm not sure which, but it was good. I ordered the Tartare, the presentation and flavors were on point! I also had some of the Crabcake Sandwich, it was great, and a little spicy. Overall, I will visit this restaurant each time I go to the botanical garden.

Google
Service was very slow initially, but the food and drinks were sooooooo good. We had the pear flatbread as an appetizer, and it was out of this world! Our server, J, was great and answered any questions we had about the menu. Will definitely be back.

Google
Absolutely beautiful restaurant located in the Atlanta Botanical Garden! Very fancy, reservations can make things go quicker. It may be pricey but you're getting five star food from five star staff. The cafe is also great for a quick stop with simple sandwiches, drinks and snacks.

We had an amazing meal here. Asian pear blue crab salad was perfect. Beautiful presentation and great service. Also, don't skip the bread - it's amazing

Yelp
I came at an off time by myself (well with a book) and it was just so pleasant. The waiter was friendly and nice, the space has this soft lighting with a lot of natural light too, and overall it felt really serene. I didn't feel rushed to leave either. I ordered the mushroom risotto with a side of salmon and a glass of wine and it was all delicious. I will say the only negative experience (if you could even call it negative) is that the hostess initially looked at me like I was a vagrant, said something along the lines of "are you looking for something?" and only softened when I said no that I wanted to eat (which was awkward because I've never had to state my purpose when walking into a restaurant before, but again it was an off time so that might've been why). Overall a nice experience and I would go back!

Yelp
I was terrified of Bryce from the reviews! There weren't a lot of people there either. Funny thing about our visit was that I noticed our table top wobbled. For those prices, I don't understand why things can't be quality down to the tables. The food was great, and we managed to steer clear of the beet salad so as not to be lectured. I'm RAVING about our waiter Tyler. He started out by asking if there are any dietary restrictions. My husband has, so Tyler made recommendations & my husband picked from the selections. He is hard to please, but I tasted his food & it was great! Tyler was appropriately conversational and very accommodating. Wait! Bryce did ask if I was finished with my drink. He replenished it, and removed the entire drink menu from the table, so no one could order anymore-we didn't then. Anyway, back to Tyler, he made our stay so nice as well as the delicious food. By the way! I made reservations through some app. No one answers the phone. We were running late because of a medical emergency. Everything is fine now. Whew!, but I didn't want to add to the situation by missing our table. Turns out, I got a million confirmation texts, but no choice to say we're running late. We arrived 20 minutes late & I was ready for it!!! Nope!! The receptionist was like "I'm so glad you made it! We've been waiting for you!" Then immediately showed us to our table. I felt like a movie star! I just felt badly for all the others who weren't treated to nicely. Will we return?.....prolly. I live the Botanical Gardens & am happy there's a place to chill inside the grounds. Wish there were more restaurants inside.

Yelp
I've been going to Longleaf for years because I love the garden, but yesterday was absolutely horrible! They have a new assistant, general manager, Bryce, who was so unbelievably rude to me, and my friend, that even the people who work there were shocked. My friend told the manager that her salad was extremely salty and perhaps it was the dressing. She asked if they could make a new salad and put the dressing on the side and he said that if they made her another salad she'd have to pay for two salads. He then put the old salad in a to go box and proceeded to put it in a bag and said she could do whatever she wanted to do with it. I was shocked that we were being so disrespected with the things he was saying to us, and how he was treating us. I could tell that the rest of the staff felt horrible for his actions. They told us that he had only been there a few weeks, and they gave us the general manager's name to let him know how we were treated. Longleaf used to be a very peaceful place for me, but this experience has made me never want to go back there again!

Yelp
This restaurant is located inside of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. You need to pay admission into the garden to be able to dine here. They do not validate parking either as a heads up. The restaurant is beautiful with large windows looking out into the garden on all slides. It is clean and modern inside. You can also dine outside on the fully shaded patio which is so relaxing. We were large party so I was expecting dinner to take a long time but it did not. The staff was quick and attentive. It was not very busy for a Saturday evening. I had the duck confit and it was incredibly salty, so salty my tongue actually hurt after eating it. My husband had the garden salad. He said it was pretty good but nothing special. Most items were priced below $25. The ONLY reason I would go back is for the atmosphere.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. Especially during the holidays when I go to see the holiday lights. Great food, even options for the kids that are tasty (I might have snuck a bite of pizza). Desserts are yummy, cocktails are on-point. The service is always fantastic.

Yelp
Came to Longleaf on a busy beautiful Saturday in Spring! We did not have a reservation and were very happy to only have to wait 45 minutes for a table for 5. The food was fantastic, beer was cold, and air conditioning was surprisingly nice to relax and enjoy lunch it. It is a gorgeous spring day about 72 and sunny blue sky. You can see greenery from the restaurant but no real garden. The server was kind and attentive. The prices are what you'd expect for a nice restaurant in the garden. We got a flatbread that I forgot to take a picture of that was incredible. The broccoli salad was sooooooooo yummy. My husband loved his smash burger too. Definitely rather stop here for a lovely lunch than a turkey sandwich at a snack station.

Yelp
I'm really displeased with the current staff and management here. I've frequented Longleaf for years and I have never seen it as horribly run as it is now. Please fix it.

Sadie W.

Yelp
My family has been a member for years and visited recently for the first time this season. However, this year, the menu was without vegetarian options for kids - the waiter suggested bread. When I then asked whether the garden had a seasonal brew available this year, the waiter curtly replied, "if you don't see it on the menu then the answer is no". Although longleaf is convenient, it will no longer be part of our future visits unfortunately.

Yelp
I ate a beautiful, relaxed lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon a couple weeks back. It was an unexpected pleasure because the restaurant hours were listed as dinner only, but while walking the gardens, we noticed the staff setting up around 11 am, stopped to check, and they said they definitely serve lunch! I had checked some reviews and knew to expect that service might be slow, but once we were seated outside with a cocktail in hand, I thought, who are these people writing reviews and rushing through such a delightful experience?!? For us, the hour plus we were there was lovely, with delicious food and excellent service, and I wouldn't have wanted to rush it. We started our lunch with a honeysuckle vodka and prosecco cocktail off the mixed drink menu and it was fantastic! Light, floral and tasty! Next up, we split a salad, which, for $12, was an excellent value, full of fresh greens and veggies and other interesting bits, and definitely large enough to share. For our mains, I had the spring risotto with peas, fava beans, asparagus and roasted cipollini onions. It was a good sized portion, very creamy and rich - I loved it. My friend had the salmon over a farro salad - the fish was cooked perfect and the salad was nicely dressed. We shared and both agreed all the dishes were winners. With such a great experience up to this point we decided we needed to have dessert, so we had the chocolate cake with fudge inside, which was just like a lava cake, and iced coffees. The coffee part was the only strange bit - the restaurant had to get the coffees from the quick cafe because they 'don't serve coffee'?? huh?? Regardless, the coffee was great and was easy to add directly to our bill without needing two transactions. And, our amazing server brought us to-go cups when we decided to take the rest of our coffee with us back into the gardens. Lovely, classic space, attentive and skilled staff, fresh, beautiful food, indoor and outdoor seating, a fantastic cocktail menu, yummy desserts, and the location in the middle of the serene beauty of the Botanical Garden - I highly recommend this place and look forward to eating here again at a future visit to the gardens! Final recommendations: make a reservation if you don't want to wait too long (we waited 25 min), and then settle in and enjoy the experience!

Yelp
This is not just a restaurant, it's an experience for your tastebuds. The food is farm to table and the menu is curated by season. They do not offer take out or delivery, it's a dine in only restaurant. They take pride in the food that is served and it is made to perfection. A reservation is recommended, reservations can be made on open table. Dress code is business casual not enforced. Diners are required to have a ticket to the botanical gardens for 30 mins before the reservation. They do not validate parking and it is charged separate from the ticket to the gardens. The ambiance is great for a date, family dinner or business meets. It is moderately quiet. I highly recommend their soups, risotto, and the peach cobbler which is served in spring. The coffees here are also amazing. You cannot go wrong with any of the items on the menu. They cater to most dietary restrictions, there are a good amount of vegetarian and vegan options. There is a kids menu as well. The presentation and playing is impeccable. The staff is friendly and courteous. The quality is consistent and I've been here with friends and family as everyone has something on the menu they love. A day in the garden and a meal at Longleaf will definitely nourish your soul. Kudos to the staff and the chef for making Longleaf more than just a place to get food.

Yelp
Went here for a team dinner during the Atlanta Botanical gardens Pumpkin carving event. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We had a variety of apps. The Adobo Wings were just okay, I didn't try the oysters on the 1/2 shell but my colleagues were pleased. The cheese board was good but the cheese was hard to spread. The charred octopus and fried calamari was delicious oh yeah and the cornbread was good. For my meal I had the fried chicken breast which was pretty good. Giving three stars because it took forever for the food to come. Our wait staff was excellent though I don't remember her name.

Yelp
Service is terrible....be ready to wait. Dad with 2 daughters sat down and ignored for 10 minutes. Not even a..."hi, we'll be right with you." Extremely limited options on the menu. Your best bet is going through the restaurant and ordering at the quick cafe. GOOD LUCK if you want to wait for TERRIBLE SERVICE!

Yelp
Delicious, fresh and welcoming patio . Great place to sip & chew with a view. Salmon is prepared medium well . The farro is tender and brighten with the celeriac salad relish. Paired with the Chardonnay (ZD Wines ) is delightful

Lisa C.

Yelp
Had lunch with 6 friends and were fortunate to experience Robin as our server. We were all so blown away by her customer service we told the manager and found out it was literally her first week working there. She checked every box...attentive, accommodating, friendly, and the epitome of professionalism. Oh, the food was good too. Seriously, if you dine here you should ask to be seated in Robin's section. I've never written a review solely for a specific server.

Yelp
One of the very best experiences i have had. Cocktails by Karen were on point and our service by Kaitlyn was superior. Our food was top tier. My son had the pepperoni and sausage flatbread which came out piping hot and delicious. My partner had a Caesar salad that was simple yet perfectly dressed and the 8oz filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini which was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the mushroom risotto and it was the best risotto I've had to date. The ambiance was beautiful as the Botanical Gardens had their holiday light show going on. The restaurant is clean, well lit and has a warm home feeling. This place is honestly great for a romantic date or even to bring the entire family in my opinion. I will absolutely recommend and will be returning. Thank you again!

Ray S.

Yelp
Overpriced busy food guaranteed to have at least one ingredient to offend every palate. Food was oversalted which was a head scratcher since their main client base seemed to old ladies on diets. Understaffed enough that poor wait staff needed roller skates. Tiny water glasses that will rarely see refills.
google avatar

Sydnee J.

Yelp
Overpriced, food not a quality to match price in my opinion. We had to ask for salt and pepper. Condiments came from what looked like Wendy's. I personally wouldn't return but it was a nice break while walking and enjoying scenery.
google avatar

Vanasha D.

Yelp
We decided to visit the botanical garden and stopped by to grab a bite and they did not disappoint. From the moment we walked through the doors the host was polite and attentive. The decor was very modern and chic. Our waitress was Kendra and she went above and beyond with her services, we truly appreciate that. The food was impressive, everything was fresh and tasty. They get a 10/10 for overall experience

Yelp
We stopped at Longleaf after a long day in the Botanical Gardens. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 5 (including two kids), which was fairly easy. The reputation of this place proceeded it, which was part of the reason I was so excited to try it. The food was really good, especially the kids meals, which were small and affordable yet interesting and well thought out. I got a Chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. It was also presented very well and reminded me from of something from a much fancier restaurant than a botanical gardens cafe. The downside of this place was the service, we waited for over 30 minutes for our meal. This would have been less of a problem if we were not dining with two young kids. They did bring out the kids meals first and I appreciated this thoughtfulness. All in all, this a gem. It's a great place for a date or a fancy lunch. Don't expect good service though. It seems to be poorly staffed at the moment.

Yelp
The service at this place was unreal! Our server was attentive to detail and helped us through the menu, I also recommend the appetizer bread! The food was good! Only downside was the long wait

Yelp
Complete vibe! Love this place. Presentation, cleanliness and nice service. Food could have been hotter but over all very yummy and flavorful I passed on the dessert but when it came out I wanted to take a dive into the plates of my friends because the peach cobbler looked so good! I was so tempted I had to walk away My entree was Salmon and broccolini and I had a salad from the local garden with green tomato dressing Pictured: my corn soup with a yummy cheesy mini croissant center.

Yelp
I really love this place. I enjoyed the ambience, the decor and the employees. Everyone was nice and host communicated about our wait time. The waitress was great as well. She was informative about our drinks and made great suggestions. I had the hummus which was freaking delicious. This is a great restaurant to go to when you are visiting the botanical garden.

Tangela G.

Yelp
BAD RESTAURANT POLICY. For the most part it was a very pleasant dining experience, except the dressing on my beet salad was salty. Our experience was ruined by Bryce (Assistant Manager) and his arrogance in informing us their policy is to never remove an item from a bill, and if the customer wants something in its place, they will be charged additional for it. He further insisted, upon their "investigation" nothing was wrong with the salad. I've eaten at Longleaf many times and I always enjoy my food but this policy is unacceptable. Why bother asking how my meal was if you already feel it was total perfection. Our waitress on the other hand, was absolutely wonderful. Bryce and the management staff is wrong on this policy. I will go back to the Botanic Gardens, but will think twice about eating at Longleaf.
google avatar

Yelp
My sister and I ordered lunch from Longleaf while visiting the Gardens. My sister tried to get a reservation for the patio days before but had no luck, and she wasn't comfortable dining indoor yet. For takeout, you place your order at the cafe in the back of the restaurant. There's a separate entrance. We ordered the following: Super food $10 + chicken $10 Kale caesar $8 Latte $4 There was a bit of a wait for the food and they gave us two super food salads instead of the kale caesar. They did however, fix this immediately. The staff was pleasant the entire time. We found tables outside not far from the restaurant. The salads were delicious, but the portions were kinda small especially for the price. The latte was decent. There aren't a ton of options for food in the Gardens, so this is probably your best option.

Yelp
We tried for weeks in person and on the phone to make a reservation for dinner for 9 during the Holiday Lights event. No one EVER answered their phone and when there in person refused to take the reservation. Finally a kind soul at the Gardens took our reservation. This is a huge RIP OFF. Dinner last night at the Gardens restaurant. Reservation for 5:30. Seated promptly and by 5:35 one of the entrees was "out". We ordered from what they still had and WAITED AN HOUR for the food to arrive. THREE entrees of lobster tortellini came ICE COLD and had to be sent back. And they have the balls to charge us hundreds and hundreds of dollars for the 9 of us. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS RESTAURANT. Their service and food are crap. If Garden had any pride, they'd dump this restaurant and put in a Burger King. At least you'd get a hot meal in under ten minutes that didn't cost $300 for 9.
google avatar

Marie D.

Yelp
I was happy to find Longleaf during my walk which is located in the middle of the Botanical Garden. The pomegranate refresh cocktail was refreshing and I would recommend it if you want something light 5/5. I was debating between the cheeseburger and the steak and frites. My server recommended the steak and frites and sold me when she said it was "dry aged" "cooked medium rare" "you won't get this anywhere else." I love steak, but I was so disappointed after barley eating this. It was hard to cut through it with a butter knife so I asked for a steak knife and even then it was SO HARD to cut through. My server took awhile to check on me and I finally showed her how much effort it took to cut it and she agreed it was definitely over cooked. 0/5 My server was kind enough to give me a discount without me asking, but man, those were some expensive fries even after the discount. Pro: outdoor patio seating was nice and relaxing

Yelp
Great food and service! Highly recommended. Warm during cold times. Nice host and stuff!

Yelp
I love this restaurant and I was so disappointed that the chef had an epic fail with the entrées on the menu. All fish and shrimp dishes. No meat , no poultry. I had wonderful prime rib here and was really looking forward to some thing like it . If it wasn't for the hummus appetizer this second go around would've been a complete bummer. But I definitely won't be back when there's not a more diverse menu.

Yelp
I am a native of Atlanta and LOVE Piedmont Park and the Botanical Gardens. I've always wanted to try eating at this posh restaurant and my best friend decided to eat here for her birthday this past Saturday October 17th and I was SO impressed by the staff. We arrived a little after 5pm, our entire party wasn't there but they let us sit anyways. ALWAYS A GOOD SIGN. Our table was outside which was SUPER cute. We ordered a round of drinks while we waited for the rest of our party. Their wine selection is ON POINT. I got an Aperol Spritz and a glass of Rose. However.... they didn't have a bartender available to make any specific cocktails, which was okay for us, but I would definitely recommend asking before making a reservation if cocktails is your thing. If a simple vodka/soda or whiskey/ginger will do, you should be okay. Let's talk about this catfish though! I WOULD HONESTLY GO BACK JUST FOR THE CATFISH. It was a nice portion of fish (maybe 6 or 7oz?) on a bed of rice and succotash with a pepper jelly on top. OH MY GAWWWD. If you're reading this review and you plan on making a reservation at Longleaf... get. the. catfish. Okay? I'm at the beginning stages of writing reviews, but in every review I write, the service is the main focal point. That is why Longleaf gets 5 stars. Once the sun went down and we asked to move inside, they made every attempt to do so, but the table inside was camping out and didn't want to cash out. The manager was so kind to come out, apologize and gave us a round of shots for the inconvenience. It's the small things for me. The acknowledgement, the kindness, the suggestions... everything was AMAZING. I live in Denver now, but TRUST me once I'm back home in ATL... I will be back. Amazing food. Amazing service.

Yelp
Complete fraud. Can't seat you bc wifi is down. Wifi working ever-where else in the gardens. There were no servers there. No graciousness from the "hostess." Just a we cant/wont seat you bc we are not in the mood. I payed 60 to get into the garden exclusively to dine here. I want a full refund and will not be able to recommend either the restaurant or the gardens give this incident.

Diane T.

Yelp
Had a lunch reservation today and was seated on time outside. The restaurant was busy and it was a beautiful spring day. We were served water immediately and given a menu. My friend ordered the mushroom toast and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Both of us were delighted with our choices. Having read previous comments, I was nervous the service was going to be slow. But we were served timely and enjoyed our lunch.

Kassidy W.

Yelp
Overall the experience was good. Service was great. I made a reservation for the garden and the restaurant a week ahead so I had no problems with wait time. We ended up paying over $100 for 2 glasses of wine($10 each), a coke($3), fried green tomatoes($15), shrimp carbonara($22), spring veggie plate($20), cheesecake bites($12), Angel food cake($12). Pretty pricey but I went in expecting it to be high. The only thing I would change is that they charge $3 for a bread roll. Bread is cheap to make so I'm not sure why they don't just give it out considering most dinners are over $20.

Yelp
We were late to our reservation and were still accommodated in an orderly fashion. Highly appreciated! I started w/ the mixed green salad w/ grilled chicken. It came already tossed. It was scrumptious. For my main, I went w/ Salmon BLT sandwich. I actually was dealing w/ a hangover and my appetite was small, so I took it to-go. Indulged later that night and it saved my liiiiife! Lol super meaty and well-seasoned. A nice, thick cut! I thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, I kept it simple and had a slice of key-lime pie. You could see the lime zest pieces. It was superb, however super tiny. All in all, great service and totally worth it.

Yelp
I came with my family during the Holiday Nights event. Lovely refuge from the hectic energy of the gardens. Upscale but very child friendly (my two year old brother was easily accommodated). I will definitely visit again if we don't all die from Coronavirus. The highlight of the meal was the black bean hummus with pomegranate. Odd combination but worked together in the best way. I'd return just for that.

Yelp
Only leaving one star because the food looked good. Sat down and waited 20 minutes just to order drinks and food (waitress insisted on ordering everything at once). 20 minutes later, we get our cocktails but they got the order wrong. Finally told them we just wanted to cancel our order, then waited for any sort of communication or response from the wait staff or manager. After waiting for another 10 minutes, we left. Service sucked, don't waste your time here.

Yelp
Stopped in for a bite to eat around 11:30a while visiting Botanical Gardens. At the time they were only taking reservations. Took about an hour but we didn't mind since it gave us time to walk around more. Service was ok. The spinach dip wasn't that great. The turkey burgers were just ok. The patty tasted more like turkey breakfast sausage. My friend enjoyed her veggie dish. All in all I'd dine here again since it's convenient but not if I'm looking for delicious food.

Yelp
We came here during the Christmas light show and the restaurant was about half full (with COVID limitations). We order the creole bbq shrimp which was served on bread. The shrimp was really good but the creole bbq was just balsamic sauce on bread. For dinner, we had the chicken pot pie and the short rib. The pot pie was good and a decent size. The short rib had good flavor, but was a little on the dry side. The polenta that came with the short rib was very good. For dessert, we had the egg nog creme brûlée. I'm not a fan of creme brûlée but the fiancé said she loved it.

Yelp
Every year at Christmas, we go to the Botanical Gardens for the innovative, beautiful and amazing lights and decorations. If only Longleaf was fractionally as good. Last year we had a reservation for 6.30p and were finally seated around 7.30p. Their excuse was they had a private party, they were too busy to seat and serve their reservations, reservations they took without any mention of a potential problem and required we confirm the day before. THIS year, pretty much same story. Reservation at 6.30, but told we would likely not be seated until after 7. The excuse had changed, but same results. This year the pathetic lie was that traffic was bad and those with earlier reservations had to be seated before us; they held reservations for some people for an hour or more. Earth to Longleaf, traffic is always bad in Atlanta, on a weekday, between 5 and 7 and has been for what, 50 years or more??? Grown adults know when to leave in time to make a committed appointment, adults know how to check traffic via GPS, adults don't expect their reservations to be held any longer than 15 minutes, a standard in the restaurant world. Apparently how you get seated here is make a reservation for 4.30, waltz in at 6.30 and tell those with 6.30 reservations to get over it. It's certainly Longleaf's policy. Well, fool me once... you know the line, our last time EVER trying to eat at Longleaf (this has actually happened more than twice, these people are beyond incompetent).

Yelp
I had the pleasure of enjoying Mother's Day lunch at this beautiful establishment with my son. It is situated and found inside the botanical garden. A general admission ticket to the Garden is needed to dine here. Please make a reservation!

Yelp
I've been to Longleaf several times and each time is a wonderful experience. The venue itself is located right in the middle of the gardens, which provides a great view of the Phoenix. During the pandemic the gardens are even more enjoyable as parties are spaced out and respectable of the distance required. The menu changes frequently here with the changing of seasons. Upon this visit I chose the crispy chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread - very good! I asked for no pickled red onion and instead had just plain pickles on the side. The chicken was moist and tender with a thin layer of breadcrumbs and seasoned fried coating, similar to panko breading. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired with the corn and dressed frisée. Both meals were incredibly filling! Additionally, our server was an absolute delight. He provided great recommendations and continued to check on us throughout the entire time we were there, and encouraged us to take our time rather than feeling rushed. Love coming to the gardens and enjoy it even more because of this restaurant experience. Thank you!

Yelp
I would strongly encourage people to eat elsewhere before going to the botanical gardens. Food felt like warmed up freezer food and was insultingly expensive. There's a lot of nice, cheaper places nearby!!

Yelp
The first meal I had out in public since February. Wonderful. I will note that my friend and I were here on a Monday on the members only day ... so that plus the less the optimal weather left us as one of two occupied tables in the restaurant. Regardless, the tables were spaced apart well and everyone had masks on. I was very pleasantly surprised w the food. When my friend said we could eat at the cafe at the gardens, I kind of assumed that it would be plastic wrapped sandwiches and cans of coke... happy to report that this is actually a nice sit down restaurant. The food was great! My chicken sandwich was clearly fresh out of the deep frier. The fries were yummy. My friend loved her sandwich and her side salad was beautiful. All in all, this was a lovely place to spend my first meal out and causally enjoy glass after glass of Rosé during a rain storm.

Yelp
This is a cute little restaurant situated near the entrance of the botanical garden. You can recognize it by the gorgeous pottery that flanks the doorways to this mostly glass building. The open concept of the restaurant really lends to the ambience of dining in the middle of the garden. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I was hosting a tea party, and they allowed me to bring in my own plates and helped me plate the prepared food I ordered. They allowed me to leave the set up with them while my party and I enjoyed the gardens. They do require a 2 dozen minimum order for premade food; a huge setback for a smaller party like mine. However, the sandwiches were delicious.

Yelp
Average food and a little on the pricey side for lunch. I went around 11:30 and the place was pretty empty but found myself waiting about 25 minutes to be seated. The hostess seemed a bit distracted and it was a little on the disorganized side just trying to get a table in basically an empty restaurant. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the chicken was pretty tough which made a complete mess to eat on a bun. The drinks also average for the price ...

Yelp
My wife and I thought we would reserve a nice lunch at the beautiful botanical gardens. We had a reservation and had requested outdoor seating. When we arrived the hostess was nowhere to be seen. A crowd of 10-15 people had gathered trying to get in without reservations. After 10 minutes a hostess finally showed up and we made our way around the crowd to let her know we had reservations. We were immediately told that the outside seating was full. Well, okay. We said an inside table was fine. We were hungry. We were seated at a table with not even a view of the gardens surrounded by families with young children. Well, okay. Not what we expected or preferred, but we sat down after some hesitation. After 15 minutes of watching waiters come and go, other tables getting water and a manager like person checking on other tables, we had nothing. No water, no waiter, no eye contact. Also, the inside is noisy. I finally got and asked an employee if there was a waiter for our area. After looking at me in a bewildered way, like I had appeared out of thin area, he replied "uh, yes?", as if I was supposed to be the waiter. WE LEFT. I told the hostess on the way out that it was horrible. The food looked meh and the prices were exorbitant. Too bad. We love the gardens.

Yelp
If I went here again, it'd be solely for dessert, maybe a drink. I had the bloody Mary because the oregano vodka intrigued me but I couldn't finish it because it had so many bits of seasoning in it that I was chewing more than drinking. It did taste good, though. I ordered mine spicy & it was a good level of heat. My boyfriend really enjoyed his old fashioned, as well. Drinks were ~$12/each. Food was subpar. The menu is tiny, 6 entrees and I had duck & he had shrimp & grits. The duck was so weird. The meat was the toughest I've ever tried but the skin was soggy. It came with arugula bunched up in some orange and lentil blobs. Tasted really.. odd. Not bad necessarily but kinda.. wrong. I hate sending food back so I kinda just ate it and didn't complain but I'd definitely never order it again. My boyfriend had the shrimp & grits & it came with 4 shrimp with very wet grits, not wet like they made a beautiful sauce accompaniment. No, it was wet like they added too much water. It tasted ok though, just seemed like something I could've done better in my kitchen. The cheese board was ok. Not worth $15 with dried apricots, what I think was fig preserves, and some candied nuts with a sheep, goat and cow cheese. The goat & cow were pretty good but the Bleu cheese was harder than I anticipated and the sheep manchego (I think that's what it was) seemed very acidic. Desserts looked pretty but we didn't get one. This unsatisfying meal ended up at over $100 but the view was pretty & the service was great. Wouldn't do it again but I didn't hate it, just some of the food.

Yelp
We had booked a time slot to visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in the latter half of July. We went in the morning on a Sunday to avoid the heat. We were wrapping up our visit around noon and had planned to make a short drive to a restaurant in midtown. After consulting my phone, it quickly became apparent that there were virtually no places open until late afternoon due to COVID restrictions, etc. We had noticed Longleaf was open a few minutes before, and since we were both hungry we opted for that. There was a short wait for a table since we had no reservations. We were seated but then had to wait a while for a server. I'm sure it is hard to match staffing levels with their socially-distanced tables, but they seemed to have underestimated that day. We placed our order and were at least able to people-watch out the window as other people wandered by in the gardens. Eventually the food arrived. It was pretty average; not bad, but not great. I think we both got sandwiches of different types. Prices were a bit higher than average, probably given that they can count on garden visitors not wanting to go to the trouble to leave for their meal. I'm not sorry we went, but if I had other options next time, I'd probably make a drive to someplace else.

Yelp
Went for Valentine's Day. Service and dinner was great. Waiter was awesome, think his name was EliAzar.

Yelp
Garden is a nice place. The overall restaurant has gone downhill over the last couple months. It is clear that a management issues and lack of a chef has negativity impacted the food and service. I am disappointed as I usually love the place and recommend it. There needs to be changes in order to make things better. Staff it very nice

Yelp
We visit the botanical gardens every year at the holiday season to see the lights and always enjoy a "fancy" dinner with our little girls at longleaf. I noticed online that reservations are now a "perk" of garden membership (this is the first year we are not members).. we walked in early (before 6pm) and the restaurant was close to empty. We were turned down for seating since we didn't have reservations but were told we couldn't make reservations unless it was after 8pm. We were told we could order from the grab n go counter (and eat outside) so had an overwhelming option of chicken fingers and fries or corn dog for the kids and cold sandwich options for ourselves. Really disappointing to spend this much on a holiday excursion and to be unable to enjoy a seated dinner at a restaurant with plenty of available seating due to no longer being members..
