Lon's Coney Island

Okay first and foremost when I call to put my order in I did not know there was new ownership. I had ordered the same thing I order every single time from this location and that's their corn beef salad. Anyone that's ever been to this location and have ever experienced their grilled chicken salad or their corned beef salad that's all I've gotten from them over the years. It wasn't until I ordered this specific salad and the young lady who was very nice and respectful didn't know really what I was talking about so I had to look at my phone to see if I was calling the wrong number. To make a long story short there was an error in terms of her trying to produce the same salad that I was getting from the old owners after realizing these were new owners. So there was a discrepancy the salad was not made right the first time but the owner introduced himself told me to come back in he didn't charge me he redid my whole order from scratch and did it fresh and I just got to say I got to show some love to him black owned you rarely see black on Coney Islands in Detroit and I have to say I'm proud of this guy he didn't exceptional job on my salad and I just wanted to show them some love. Please excuse typos I didn't read over I didn't check the errors because I'm using voice text. I noticed also that he patronize his people and I want to mention that my name is Valencia are Williams I wrote a book years ago called the hottest summer ever known then I wrote another book which is the part two to this one and I have another one called vindictive women. My books were on the best selling list when I saw that layout of all the celebrities that he did there that's really showing love to us as the people who has made it. I made it and I gave back like this guy and just letting you know guys my books are getting ready to hit the streets again and would love your support as well. I'm going to go back and check him out and give him a book and again I'm grateful for all the support I got here in my community.

Good service food was terrible got a 5 dollar box which was advised as such but was not patty meat on the sliders the fries were straight cut not crunchy which made them very soggy only went to the car with the food fries were soggy burger was thin and dry no where to park a guy selling phones came in selling to the workers very unprofessional at that point I do not recommend this Coney Island due to lack of worth on food

The cashier on the evening shift is rude and will hang up on you if you call about an incorrect order. To charge someone almost 8 dollars for chili cheese fries, they should be prepared as requested. The cook explained how they fix chili cheese fries, which was not the way they were ordered, and then was rudely told to speak to the manager "Manny". Also, asking for an employees name is not out of the ordinary , especially when there is a complaint! Train your cashier how to properly assist your paying customers!! If customer service is not a strong point, they should not be taking orders or answering phones. Very unprofessional!

I called 4x the first time I was put on hold they got back on the line said hello and hung up on me. I called back 3x before deciding to have to drive further for food and kept getting told to hold on and the waitress never come back to the line.

Yes to the prices and the quantity. Solid coneys corned beef and wings. Will definitely return to try more from the very extensive menu. American food at its best.

Food is good and the cook is awesome he made my pancakes perfect.

Lons is back and BLK owned and operated... Love the staff and owner... Everything Always Good 24/7 I stop by at least a couple times weekly... You should too

Been going for over 30 years now love those. Ag of fries Today I ordered turkey burger deluxe extra mayo extra pickle catup only to come home and put it in their myself do I have to beg for condiments I paid for so dissatisfied oh and who took the game out so boring now.

The corned beef sandwich & wing dings were top tier! Service was fast. Prices were affordable. Definitely recommend trying this place.

If I could give ZERO Stars I would, order a grilled chicken pita..chicken was burnt, they put the lettuce and tomatoes and cheese on the bottom, when I called they said that's how they do it( but ive been there before)..so of course when I attempted to pick it up it broke..from the wetness of lettuce and tomatoes, again when I called ..I was told that's how they do it, $11 sandwich only, for a burnt soggy pita...unacceptable..highly not recommend..of you guys have a new cook..get rid of them,

Your typical Coney Island greasy spoon nothing special about the place, but they do offer good food compared to other coney islands in the city

I love this place!! When I was pregnant with my second child. My husband would go to Lon's. And when they would see him come in and immediately start making my Double Bacon Cheeseburger on Texas Toast!!!

Favorite neighborhood Coney. Funny staff, great food. My family has been eating here for years!

Lons Coney Island restaurant has the greatest food! It's a family owned business and they are amazing people. The restaurant is small but they are clean, efficient and serve excellent food. My favorite Detroit neighborhood Coney Island!
