We had Delicious sweet-and-sour pork with crab Rangoon AND mild chicken in garlic sauce with egg roll. Very good spices with lots of fresh veggies - loved it!

I'm greeted with kindness ..and love...the food is amazing! Quick service, with a home feeling! Their very humble and respectful..truly go out of there way making sure their customers are happy,content...I've always said,I'm not gonna remember what everyone says....or maybe all the places I've met different people..one thing is for certain...I will Always,Always, remember how you made me feel!!

Google
The service was good and fast for a pickup order. My only complaint is that the "fried rice" was in fact just rice cooked in chicken broth with some frozen pea/carrot mix and a little white onion.

Google
This was my mom's favorite Chinese for years and always very friendly and quick, even when delivered for them. Never any problem and yummy food too. 謝謝(Denwa)

Google
I came here with friends to do some business, and I found this restaurant. The ingredients are fresh, the taste is good, it's very nice, and it's worth it.

Google
Ordered the coconut chicken with extra sauce. Get home and there’s no extra sauce at all on my chicken and the chicken was so hard I couldn’t even stab it with the plastic fork. Not sure how anyone could eat that dried up chicken won’t be ordering from here again!

Google
Perfect late night meal. Delivery through door dash. Got the chow mei fun veggie and spring roll. Great flavor and the veggies were crunchy and perfect. Not overcooked

Google
By far the WORST egg foo young gravy, EVER! Big portions but not good

Yelp
Delicious food! It's always fresh and the portion sizes are large. I always enjoy ordering from this restaurant!

Yelp
Food was hot and generous. I mean STEAMING hot. However, the meat things had no texture or "chew". What is that stuff? And the only seasoning I could detect was soy sauce. So, mediocre, but hot and filling.

Heather M.

Yelp
Great for take out- food is always ready on time. I like that I can sub noodles because I don't care much for rice. Portions are very large- I usually get 2-3 meals out of one order.

Yelp
After about four years, I revisited Loon Sheng. I should have just kept the memories and skipped the food. Special fried rice was greasy, flavorless, and had little in the way of meat or veggies or seafood. The hot and sour soup was neither. A couple of fried spring rolls were soggy, oily, and tasted like the vat needed cleaning. To top it off, the restroom was non-functional and boxes of supplies, junk, and drinks were piled at random on the floor in the dining room.

Yelp
Great teriyaki chicken and shrimp fried rice !! A++++you want be disappointed. But North of Columbia .

Yelp
I am only reviewing their food as it is the STAR attraction here and I strongly suggest you order "to-go" as the inside dining area (where we actually ate) leaves a world to be desired! That being said, food is FANTASTIC! We don't live here but will 100% order from here and take it to the hotel next time we are in COMO, which, is at least once a month! It is that good! Call ahead, take it TO-GO, and you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Food was BAD... No meat in a $14.00 Sesame beef dish. All batter. Hard chicken with no sauce, wrong soup, plus charged for a meal that I didn't order or recieve. Then they wouldn't refund anything. Aweful experience. Everyone has a bad day, but screaming at me and fighting is not exceptable Won't be going back there anymore They got the money and food back.

Yelp
Over the years i had takeout 3 or 4 times. Last night after 10 hours of working and not eating all day i stopped in to get some food on the way home. Its was getting late and it was on the way home so i stopped to get takeout. I order chef specialty Triple Delight for 12$. Got my order and took it home. The order was wrapped in a brown bag so i couldn't see it until i opened it at home. My triple delight only had one piece of shrimp and maybe 3 pieces of low quality beef? In it- i ended up giving it to my dog because it was so tough and chewy i could eat it but what really upset me was the entire order was 95% broccoli- what a rip off!! Im not ever going back- its been not good every time I've been there- it was so bad this order i felt like going bCk and throwing it on the front door but i wont because thats not nice- i paid 12$ for crap!!

Yelp
If you enjoy being ignored by the staff, the restaurant using their dining room as a storage room for boxes and absolutely no obvious signs that theses people care about their business then this is the place for you.

Yelp
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants you can order food as from what I can tell, they've been in business for a while. Growing up in a different city, you know which Chinese restaurants to look out for and this is the one. My favorite from here is the general Tso's chicken and fried rice, honestly a staple! Because of COVID, it's best to call in so by the time you arrive there you'll get your warm and ready to go meal! People there are awesome too!

Yelp
Favorite Chinese place in town! They never disappoint me! Food is always great and made to order!
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered a quart of the house special fried rice. There was only three shrimp in this quart. This was not satisfying! Feel like I wasted my money.

Yelp
Very friendly people that serve good Chinese and they also have Buddhist beads and a few other knick knacks on sale!

Sixxster S.

Yelp
I ordered food through grub hub, delivery was delayed but showed driver had already picked up food 20 minutes prior to getting delivered, when the driver finally delivered the food the bag was tampered with so I called the restaurant asking if they would remake the food & he said no & hung up the phone without even letting me finish what i was saying!! now my client is having to spend extra $$$ to order from somewhere else!! piss pour service from a so called great small business!!! will not be doing business with them again!!

Firelord P.

Yelp
Ordered some Szechuan chicken and got some weird peanut sauce stuff with almost literally no chicken, just 95% vegetables.....Looks nothing like any Szechuan chicken i've ever seen, pretty garbage, usually like this place, very disappointing

Yelp
I received 8 calls within minutes of each other. When I finally pulled over the car to answer, I was approached by the employee to tell me my food was ready. I kindly replied that I did not call to order anything and they must be mistaken. He told me I was wrong and a lady made the order. I am the o my one who has access to my phone and reviewed my records to ensure. I asked them to stop calling and we ended the call. He proceeded to call back minutes later and said the following : " ***** You, Man. You don't ***** me, you pray with me. You order food and no pay. ***** You. Stop Calling. ***** You, you no order again. I'm calling the police. You no pay for food you pray with me. ***** you"

Yelp
Crab Rangoon excellent! Chicken with Garlic Sauce was the right amount of heat and lots of different veggies unlike other places with just broccoli. Sesame Chicken wasn't over fried. This was our first time and definitely not the last!

Neo N.

Yelp
Fantastic Value, and one of the best Chinese spots in Columbia. The portion sizes are always nice and large, great for having leftovers the next day. Szechuan Tofu and Fried Rice were excellent.

Yelp
This is the worst 6 bucks I ever spent on lunch. The only reason I even came here was because the usual place I go to was closed. I ordered spicy beef and all I got was peppers and onions and three pieces of the most nastiest beef ever. Felt like chewing on rubber bands. I would give them a 0 if I could.

Yelp
You'r average run of the mill hole in the wall Chinese joint. BUT, they have the BEST hot and sour soup that I have *ever* had, and hands down it's worth the trip alone no matter where you'r from, IMHO. Probably one of my top 5 picks for crab rangoon as well, despite the simplicity of the item, so many places get it wrong, whereas they have the perfect balance of cheese and crab. :3 The place is tiny, but the service is good, and if you go enough, they remember you and you'r favorites. All your usual's are here, General Tso's, Hunan (insert meat), garlic chicken, beef and broccoli etc etc. Great place for lunch, cheap and quick!
google avatar

Dave K.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised. Great noodles, almost ordered more as my three picky daughters ate them all. Other reviews are right on the Rangoon - outstanding. Hot sour soup was pretty bad, bland and neither hot nor sour, but everything else was so good that it didn't matter. Little of the beaten path, but not disappointing and enjoyable. Small dining room but great staffs. Hopped off 70 and got lost in the college area bc that was where all the highly rated restaurants were, gave up when there was no parking, and ended up at this little gem. Worth the drive.

Yelp
Tasteless food. Just not very good. The lady taking orders less than helpful and not very pleasant. Kitchen is almost totally open to eating area. The two chiefs were very loud. Sounded like a continuous argument from time I came in until i left. Guess one was Republican and the other Democrat :-) No water available other than expensive bottled water. Just not a great experience.

Yelp
Recently tried to teriyaki beef and loved it. Second time around, we actually got teriyaki chicken on accident and they were still delicious. Just a heads up, the beef and chicken are both served differently. The beef was marinated in a sweet seasoning, while the chicken seemed slightly battered.

David N.

Yelp
The food is edible, but nothing more than mediocre Americanese. This is by far the slowest Chinese restaurant in Columbia. Every time I pick up food, there is a long wait, even if there is no one else in the place. For the amount of time I spend waiting I could drive to Szechuan House and get much better quality and more authentic dishes in half of the time.

Yelp
I've been eating here since they opened up 20 years ago. Always ready in 10 min. best crab ragoons in Columbia. As far as Chinese in Columbia there isn't much better for the price. They did just remodel the lobby but i still always get it to go. A strip-mall parking lot isn't really the view of the century or anything.

Payton Y.

Yelp
The food was utterly disgusting. The spicy chicken wasn't fully cooked and tasted like burnt rubber. After I got my entree, I ordered dessert. I got their ice cream, and at first nothing was wrong, until I bit into it, and noticed a few pubic hairs on the side of the dish. I ended up going home and had explosive diarrhea, then proceeded to vomit. I found out that I got food poisoning, and had to call sick for work for a week. Two weeks later I went back to work and everything seemed fine, but I passed out one day at work and was rushed to the ER, once they did all of the scans, I found out that I had been diagnosed with stomach ulcers, which appeared to be caused by the spicy orange chicken. Terrible experience, and for the record, I have 3 months to live.

Gerry G.

Yelp
Great food. everything's is cooked as you order, so it's smart to call ahead. Family owned and operated loon sheng gives you huge portions of food, your sure to have leftovers.

Jessica C.

Yelp
I was pretty disappointed with my experience here. The food was ready quickly, but not good. The hot and sour soup was mostly full of cabbage, no bamboo shoots and few mushrooms, a few random pieces of pork. I got the coconut chicken based on the positive reviews and it was over fried and tough. Also, not enough sauce and overall bland. Finally, the crab Rangoon were full of cream cheese only and no dipping sauce provided. I was hoping to like this place because it's so close to my place but I probably won't be back
google avatar

Yelp
Up until about a year ago this place had the best Generals in the entire city. Then they got new owners and switched the recipe and its awful now. BUT their coconut chicken is awesome as well as their crab Rangoon.
google avatar

Sherryl H.

Yelp
They don't put crab/ imitation crab in the crab Rangoon to save an extra buck. I'm pretty reasonable and ordered from them 5 times thinking I'd eventually get 1 crab Rangoon with something other than cream cheese in it. 20 pieces of crab Rangoon later there wasn't a scrab of crab meat to be found. I tried talking to them about it but they were really rude. I'm never ordering from them again. Save your money for a business that values their customers and takes pride in making their food.

Yelp
Pretty much your average chinese take out place. Nothing here really stood out to me as anything really special. The general tso was not spicy at all even though it was pepper sauce, and the teriyaki beef sticks were rubbery and overly sweet.. the only thing that was good was the chicken wings. They were crispy and tender. I also enjoyed the orange chicken. I wish the food had more spice or more flavor at least most of our food was pretty lack luster. Then again I didn't really expect to be amazed. I just wish it was better.

Yelp
We first started going to this restaurant because it was close to our home. We keep going back though because the wait time is not very long and the food always tastes good. Thank you Loon Sheng.

Yelp
I don't usually do online review things, but I actually finally joined Yelp JUST to review Loon Sheng -- it was that good. Loon Sheng looked like your average run-of-the-mill strip mall Chinese takeout place, and had a pretty standard American Chinese menu offering, so I was surprised by how awesome the food was! Nothing fancy, they just do everything a typical Chinese place does, but they do it very, very, very well. The crab rangoon was huge and crunchy. The rice was fluffy and perfect. Nothing was overcooked, undercooked, too sweet, not sweet enough. Nothing looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I will absolutely go there next time I'm in CoMo and hopefully take some friends!

Yelp
As of 2012, the original people who ran this establishment are no longer there and the food has struggled. The Hot and Sour soup used to be great but is now bland. The Lo Mein noodles reminded me of 50 cent Walmart spaghetti. I used to love eating at this place as it is the only carry out chinese on the far north side of town, but I now drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to Peking :(

Yelp
Needing something quick for my family late one evening, I thought I'd give this eatery a shot....The wait stuff was friendly, so I asked if they made their chop suey with lots of celery, and was told no...I then asked if I order chop suey will you make it with LOTS of celery, (I'm old school oriental food, so like celery in my chop suey) He assured me yes he would make sure there was plenty of celery. I also ordered chicken with garlic sauce, (come to find out there was NO garlic used in this and it was SWEETENED) and chicken egg foo yung. I informed the wait staff that I was diabetic, and could not have any sugars, honeys or sweetner put in these so to be sure not to put any in. The wait staff assured me that the sauce to the egg foo yung was indeed not sweetened, ever, no worries . I am very upset as to the fact I spent 30 dollars in this resteraunt with assurances nothing was to be sweetened but ALL OF IT WAS SWEETENED! I COULDN'T EAT ANY OF IT! And my chop suey? NO CELERY! I should have stuck to tried and true....We will NEVER go back....What an awful place, I'm surprised they are still open due to the fact they can't get simple orders right!

Michael S.

Yelp
I am not picky when it comes to Chinese food. I am just looking for the average deep fried stuff with sweet sauce. I had not tried this place so I got several different items for my family to share. The teriyaki chicken was the first item I tasted and my 10 year old asked if it had cinnamon on it. It did taste like it had nutmeg or some odd spice on it. The egg roll was the same story...odd spice on it. I wanted a sesame chicken combo but did not see on on the menu I found online so I asked when I call if they had sesame chicken. He gave me the $8.95 quart with white rice even though on the front door it says today's special sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll $7.25. OK, whatever I thought, it is bigger and I love sesame chicken. Well it was horrible, sauce tasted bad and the chicken was cold and soggy even though I had ordered it only 15 minutes ago. The chicken in the sweet and sour wasn't much better. I bet there was not 4 ounces of chicken in the order, it was all breading. Egg drop soup...bland. Chicken lo mein...bland. Again, I am not hard to please when it comes to Chinese food. Usually each restaurant has some things that are better than others but everything here was awful.
