I found out about LOOP Espresso Club through a social media ad earlier this year, and I finally got a chance to visit a couple weekends ago for a solo breakfast & study session. The outside of the shop is understated with only signage on the door. The inside of the shop has eclectic furnishing with a fusion of Japanese & American designs. I liked the aesthetic and vibe of the shop. Also, they have free goodies at the front counter (stickers & cup sleeves!) and clean, spacious restrooms at the back of the shop.
When I arrived around 8:50am, the shop was already very busy with people seated, socializing, and waiting for their orders. I found a seat by the window, where there's a narrow counter and some bar stools. During the hour that I was at LEC, there was frequent foot traffic and moderate noise, but they played good lo-fi background music, which helped me focus and study.
For my drink, I chose the Espresso Black Sesame, which had a strong espresso, and light nutty and sesame flavors. I was wondering if it'd be grainy at the bottom, but the ingredients were blended well, making the drink creamy and smooth. Make sure to ask the staff what food items they have for the day! I chose the Vegan Lemon Poppyseed muffin, which had a dense, moist, and lemony bread, and was very sweet with the glaze on top.
LEC's menu is small, but I think each item is unique, especially the Espresso Club and Signature items. I want to try more, so I hope to visit again soon, especially during a less busy time.
