Loopy's Eatery

We stopped by Loopy’s this past weekend prior to a concert at Madison Square Garden, and we were so glad we did! This was the best food of our entire trip! It’s extremely reasonably priced, cozy atmosphere, fabulous service. Our server was so kind and helpful, and the food was incredible. The shrimp tempura was fresh and not too greasy like some places, the yum yum sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The beef was flavorful, tender and not fatty at all…the salad came with a fantastic sesame dressing, and the vegetable fried rice was delightful. We come to NYC a couple times a year and we will absolutely be back here!

Nice and spacious restaurant run by a family. The people are friendly and the food is decent. The Stone Bowl Bibimbap is fairly standard. I wanted to try the Korean Cheese steak, but it was pretty average in my opinion. Only American and Provolone options and the cheese is just melted on top, not mixed in. Thai ice tea is standard but a fair price.

We had the bibimbap in a stone bowl and it was delicious! The bowl keeps the meal very hot which was very welcome on a cold winter day. The restaurant itself has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was excellent and friendly. Would highly recommend!

After googling for the nearest restaurant to eat at for my family’s last night here on vacation, I stumbled upon Loopy’s that was less than a block away. We were greeted and seated by very polite gentleman. The menu was given to us on tablets and was easy to read and figure out. Starting off with the fried dumplings, we then settled on four different entrees that were delicious in their own right. The Stone Pot Bibimbap is what ended up enjoying with their Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Spicy Mayo sauce.

Their stone pot bibimbap and bento box were both delicious. They don't normally serve coffee but the server was considerate and made us Vietnamese coffee off the menu. We spent 4 hours in here with my friend, dining and chatting away. Great experience overall.

Love the bulgogi cheesesteak here, it’s like heaven on earth 🤤 The spicy mayo sauce gives it a nice kick, but it’s tasty without any sauce too. All the dishes I’ve tried have been delicious, they’ve definitely nailed Korean fusion cuisine. The lunch special is a great deal, and the portions are generous. There’s a ton of seating and the food comes out quick. Overall, my favorite restaurant in the area!

The food was really delicious however I do have to say something about one of the workers asking a customer to leave a tip. While I do understand that tips are a way of life, you should not run after a customer and tell them "it is customary to leave a tip". If they didn't want to leave one, they shouldn't be pressured to leave one. This did not happen to me, but I overheard it while eating. That is why I knocked it down to overall 4/5. While the food was delicious, that experience did sour me. That is poor customer service. I work in the service industry and we would be lambasted if we ever did this to a customer.

Loopy's is a great Mom and Pop family restaurant. The food is good and the owners are very hands on. They're friendly, personable and really seem to care. The place is very clean and they're always fast with the food. I've been coming here since they opened and it's always been a good experience. I get the fusion pita and the bibimbap bowl the most.

Got the bulgoggi cheesesteak, a spicy bulgoggi burrito, fries and the kimbap It was all super good and the place was super cute too! Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area

I came on Christmas Day after getting in from travel to Penn Station and am still thinking about the bulgogi cheesesteak. The flavor and texture were incredible. The staff were also very nice.

Super affordable with large portions! This small Korean fusion restaurant was empty when we came in, but it was very clean and the staff was so friendly. Our order only took about 10-15 minutes to come out, and everything was delicious. The plating was adorable as well. Great value for equally great taste!

Ultimate Food experience This is the only place I will order food from when I am in Chelsea/Midtown Manhattan...I was referred by friend's and will be back whenever I am in NYC!!!!'nn

I understand the 5 star review and wonder why this place isn't more popular. A hidden gem in garment district! I got the lunch platter with spicy pork and was very satisfied with it. The sides were curry chicken and salad. Even though it didn't look like much, I was stuffed at the end! The best part was it was delicious. Can't wait to come back to try other things on the menu

Authentic korean food. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the neighborhood next time.

I was in the area with the colleagues for work & when it was time to get lunch, we happen to come across "Loopy's Eatery" & I'm so glad we did! There a specials posted outside the window & the "spicy ramen" definitely caught my eye because I love ramen. I had their spicy ramen with bulgogi beef & it was so good! The beef was tender, the ramen was perfect & broth flavorful with a little heat in the background. It was served with pickled radish on the side which was little sweet & crunchy & balanced out the heat in the background. One of my colleagues tried their bibimbap bowl (which I was seriously considering getting too) & it looked delicious & he said it tasted good. My other colleague had the French fry bowl & enjoyed it as well & said the shrimp was good. I had a Thai ice tea, (which if this is ever on any menu I have to get it) & it didn't disappoint. Trying out a new restaurant, you never know what you'll get it. I'm happy the food here was good & didn't disappoint. My only critique is, there isn't a pubic restroom, so hopefully with time that can change because when serving food, you should always have a restroom available in a sit down restaurant. I won't hold that against them, because the food was 5 stars & came out hot.

Fresh, hot and delicious with friendly service. We picked up takeout but the inside is cozy and clean with exposed brick and awesome stained glass chandeliers. I wish we lived closer!

Food 10/10 Simple and delicious. Most of the time when I eat out, I am by myself and I really just wanna something simple, quick and affordable. It's weird to say this but there are not that many places fits all these criteria in the city, but this is one of them Service 10/10 This is more like grab and go take out place rather than a sit down restaurant, but you have the sit down option. You pay first and get the food later. The fact that I don't have to pay the ridiculous high tip really makes me wanna come back here

the service here is incredible. everyone is so kind and it feels like they've brought me into their home. I love the ipad menus and gentle help the employees offered when utilizing the machine. 100/10

The food was amazing and the bulgogi was tasty and juicy (bulgogi cheesesteak), service was great they greeted us when we entered and gave us insight on the menu when we asked about it. 10/10 would come again

Delicious food and great service at Loopy's. My daughter and I stopped in after finding this place during a quick yelp search for food in the area. When we walked up the owner was outside cleaning and we inquired if they were open. He greeted us and let us know they were open. We were the only patrons (but we were happy about that) as most places in the area are PACKED on a warm sunny Saturday afternoon. We ordered via the QR code/ phone app and our food came out fast, hot and fresh. The restaurant was clean, and had some great music playing. The food tasted DELICIOUS and the portions were way more than what we expected! We ended up taking home leftovers. We will definitely return to Loopy's to try other items like their ramen!

Great value! Large portion! And the taste is 5star too! I don't understand why there is pretty empty when I stop by. The food is good, the cashier is nice. Is everyone just order online too?

Loopy's is a great spot to dine at if you need a filling meal, but don't necessarily want k-bbq or want to wait for hours just to get seated. Their menu has a good selection of Korean-Fusion, and I look forward to trying other items next time. The donkatsu, beef kimbop, and cheesesteak (NOT Philly Cheesesteak btw - so don't get it twisted) were all delicious. Teks and his wife run this small business together and the cooking feels home-y and comforting :). Inside is clean, free water station, and good tunes playing.

So happy that this place has relocated. They used to be in Northern Virginia. Our neighborhood was devastated when it unexpectedly closed. Still comes up between neighbors how much we miss this place. I dream about their Bulgogi Cheesesteak sandwiches. Might have to charter a bus and take a group up there to fulfill our cravings!

Loopy's...thank you for my life. We were God's special idiots who miscalculated and had an hour and ONLY an hour to eat and shower at our hotel down the street before we had to be back on the train. This is a nice little counter serve spot that rolled with us saying "OH GOD ACTUALLY CAN WE GET OUR FOOD TO GO". They brought everything packaged and offered us silverware. Genuinely a life saver, but even better, the food itself was really good. I got the bibimbap with chicken and my wife got a lunch platter. The chicken was fresh, the vegetables were delicious, the rice and egg were well cooked, the price was reasonable, and overall everything was clean, professional, and exactly what you want from a "fast casual" style restaurant. Great experience, would go again!

Visiting NYC from CA. I was really craving a smoothie and almost could not find a place nearby when we happened upon Loopy's. The owner (and I presume his son) were very friendly. The place was nice, clean and quiet, perfect after a lot of walking. The smoothie hit the spot! I will definitely come back and try the food the next time I visit!

Oh, Loopy's. How I love thee. Let me count the ways: 1. Top quality food 2. Top quality and friendly service! 3. Nice atmosphere I was a regular at Loopy's back when they were in Northern Virginia. The community there was so sad to hear that the family who owns Loopy's was moving to New York and closing shop. On a recent trip in New York I decided to look them up, only to find that they reopened Loopy's here! I changed my dinner plans that night just so I could make it out to have the delicious food and say hi to the family. They recognized me! I got the kim bop. The quality is the same as I remember-great! There were some ladies who looked like they got bibimbap, and they said it was delicious. Some dishes I sampled in the Virginia location: the bibimbap; the fusion burrito; the platter; and the cheesesteak. All great. Don't forget to try the specials! And don't forget to leave a review if you like it ;)

Awesome local eatery with great options. I love the platter and the bibimbap. Very fresh ingredients and all the food tastes very homemade. This has quickly become one of my staples. Go check it out!

Great food find in NYC at 29th Steet, 7th Ave (few steps from 7th Ave going to 6th Ave) !!! I had the Bibim Bop bowl while hubby had the chicken platter. So yummy delicious!! Took a chance on this new Korean fusion place while visiting NYC and was not disappointed. The food was great, fresh, with the right amount of spice, and resonably priced. And the owner was very knowledgeable and super-friendly (in a good way). Tried the chicken bibimbap (chicken was grilled perfectly) and beef and avo kim baps... all excellent. Played good music too!

Just stumbled across this place after over a year of missing it. The owner moved from northern Virginia to new your city and I'm so happy we found the new location. An absolute must try spot with incredible Korean fusion food. 100% worth the extra few blocks if you're by Penn Station for any reason. We WILL be back.

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch on a recent trip to NYC. We each got a different bibimbap bowl (upgraded to the stone pot), and my husband also got dumplings. The owner was very friendly and helpful, he even showed us how to stir the pot when our food was ready. The pot stayed hot, and I loved the crispy rice at the bottom. It was delicious! I'd definitely come back.

Creative menu with traditional Korean favorites as well as some fun and delicious fusions! Super friendly proprietors/chefs located in a smallish storefront restaurant with a casual modern fusion decor. Five star food, service and ambiance.

Very enjoyable experience I regularly do the takeout bento box lunch special have yet to have a bad experience. The owner, Teks is a very friendly welcoming person and it appears to be a family owned business. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite in the area!

Wonderful, calm restaurant with high quality Korean food made with fresh ingredients at a more than reasonable price. The owner is amicable and helpful in picking from the many side options and sauces. Looks like they ran a food truck and upgraded to this cute eatery.

As a Korean, I am usually skeptical when it comes to Korean fusion food, but when I heard great reviews on the food here, I decided to give it a try. I got the spicy pork gyro and the food was EXCELLENT. Finally, a Korean fusion I can get behind. The food came out hot and fresh, with generous portions, and flavorful blends. The staff was very friendly and helpful when picking out what to eat, and I am certainly looking forward to trying different dishes on this menu. Highly recommend!!
