"One of the great things about not going out anymore is being able to watch a lot more TV. Who needs drunken hookups and dancing when you’ve got British period pieces? Think of Lord Hobo, then, as a kind of halfway house between your couch and the club. That’s because it’s not just a bar with a great craft beer selection and plenty of tables for conversation, it’s also a bar with a big screen that regularly shows things like Teen Jeopardy with the sound on. It’s always great to be able to go out and still not miss out on any of your shows." - dan secatore

"Since it’s operated by a brewery, you probably assume that Lord Hobo has good beer. It does, but what you may not realize is that it has good beer brewed by other breweries, too. It’s small, comfortable, and never too rowdy, so you can focus on your drink the way a good drinker should." - dan secatore

Google
I had a Hopnog. Very tasty and fresh. I ordered a few appetizers: Steak and Cheese Eggrolls and Scorpion Shrimp(spicy). The service was excellent and the food was pretty good and flavorful. Nice atmosphere by the water.

Michael Faucher

Google
Decent place overall. Beer was good. Had the chicken wings also. They came out dry. Service was ok. Not the friendliest guy around. Felt like he should be the door man instead. Nice to have a place at this end of the waterfront.

Nacim

Google
Very good beer. A little expensive since it's in the seaport area. Good food menu selection. Outdoor seating. More of a bar than a traditional brewery. It's nice to have these satellite breweries though.

Google
A nice spot to eat in Seaport. Not far from the Harbor walk. There's a good drink selection and a variety of options to have a bite. The Streetcorn nachos were good. Wait staff was lacking

Tyler Joseph

Google
Beef street tacos were so good, some of the best tacos I've ever had, pretzels were really good and drinks were good

Bruno

Google
Very nice place with very friendly personnel. The beer is very good, food is great and prices are fair. Had a great meal there! Strongly recommend.

Google
Just a short ten minute walk from the convention center, and you'll find yourself at the best place for upscale and redefined pub food. Stop going to the small boring places in this area and take your taste buds on a trip! This place was jamming with classic tunes and comfortable tables. The service was one person holding down the fort, but handled it with ease. Food was fast and delicious. Would return here again many times over!

Google
Nice beers but just no atmosphere in the bar. It felt like a hotel bar and there was none of the brewery’s personality at all. Easy to rectify - just fill some of the empty shelves with cool Lord Hobo stuff!

Yelp
Returned Tuesday night for Music Bingo. (6:00-8:00). How fun!! The Hosting DJ made the game so much fun. Good music. We had Female Pop stars, 90's and One Hit Wonders for categories. Great environment for families as well as a fun date night. (Prizes were $25 Hobo gift cards) Highly recommend (esp if you're staying across the street at Homewood Suites).

Yelp
This restaurant is across the street from the Hampton Inn Seaport. It's a very nice casual atmosphere with plenty of seating and a very meticulous menu. I was greeted and seated and the server was friendly and not that attentive unfortunately. I opted for the burger and fries and a soft drink, food came out hot and extremely fresh. The burger was outstanding along with the fries, highly recommend The server never came back to check on me and offer a refill. Possible miscommunication with other staff. I do highly recommend!!

Yelp
Not gonna lie, I didn't have high hopes for this place AT ALL after our last Lord Hobo experience in Cambridge, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a huge beer person anymore, but my husband is so he picked this spot. It was a bit of a hike in the cold from our Seaport hotel, but I think under normal circumstances the walk wouldn't be too bad. They had mimosas which I was thrilled about and they were very tasty! We also ordered the dry rub wings and I really enjoyed them - I like a less saucy wing without lacking flavor and these delivered. The service was fast and friendly and the interior was pretty cool - open with lots of table space to accommodate large groups with a big bar in the center. They were hosting a crafting party while we were there which was a fun idea. We would come back here for sure.

Yelp
While arriving one night early for our cruise we ordered a to go order here to eat bank in the hotel after a long tiresome day of travel. First, clearly our eyes were bigger than our stomach but there was so many options. I ordered the Birria tacos after always wanting to try. Very flavorful and two tacos were one too many. But enjoyed it! We both ordered a clam chowder but the portion size got a to go was so large that we should have shared one order. I enjoyed the bowl but my mom struggled to chew the clams. ‍‍ she then ordered the chimichurri steak sliders. This is a complete no! The meat was tough and appeared to be sliced incorrectly. The chimichurri sauce was not good and there was to much else happening on the sandwich. Finally we ordered wings in case we got hungry in the middle of the night. Thankfully we ordered these because my mom ate them instead of the sliders. We did sauce on the side and the wings were a nice golden brown with a great crunch! These were some of the best I've had! Overall... this is a great choice if you're staying at the Homewood Suites/Hampton Inn across the street.

Yelp
While on vacation the concierge at are hotel sent us here as a recommendation for a local place to eat. This was a small but outstanding restaurant. The family run business had fablous service and the food was excellent. Wish they had these sorts of places where we live....

Yelp
This place is great to hang out at for outdoor seating. They have unique long cement tables and lots of smaller outdoor garden type tables and chairs. Relaxing atmosphere equals relaxing food. All bar food with your usual finger foods (burgers/sandwiches/fries) and a few utensil types (steaks and salads), it's got something for everyone. I've come here twice now and it's been pleasant both times. People come here for their IPAs but I come for their cocktails. My colleagues say their IPAs are smooth and refreshing. The cocktails are tasty and just the right strength in liquor. We will return as we have deemed this venue our new "go to".

Brooke C.

Yelp
This was not a standard brewery experience. It was very upscale and they served quality dinner for as well as wine and cocktails. I got the veggie flatbread and a cocktail and loved both. It was cool that this was kind of a hybrid brewery and restaurant. Overall I really liked it here.

Maya A.

Yelp
Always a great spot to start the afternoon/evening the beer is great and the staff is better! The brewery is located in an odd spot but don't let that stop you they have an outside and inside area and a food menu as well. The bartender des really introduced me to different flavors and what the brewery had to offer. She also made sure my cup was always full - I came in for one and stayed for a few! That girl needs a raise!!! This is a good spot to come alone or with friends and the perfect place to start before exploring the seaport area.

Gregory A.

Yelp
This place was super spacious and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. We got there around 1pm and we were the only ones at the bar. They had a lot of beers on tap and a nice selection of liquor at the bar. The bartender was polite, fast, attentive and professional. We didn't get any food, just beer but I will say that when we're leaving I saw the flatbread pizzas they had and wow it looked delicious! The beer was ok - I would rate the beers 3.5 stars and the service 5 stars. Definitely stop by for a beer or two!

Yelp
EXCEPTIONAL mixed drinks, beers, appetizers, food, staff, service and setting! Lots of outdoor seating with some under trees and others under the building overhang (out of the rain). Perfect for large groups, sitting at the large bar or intimate settings. Reservations are a good idea, but they save some room for walk-ins. A few TV screens with sports on and some great music in the background. It is located next to the Hampton Inn Boston Seaport District and very close to the seaport terminal. We were looking for something good and walking distance before jumping on a cruise the next day. EXCELLENT choice! It was early evening and the place was quickly filling up when we walked in. There were some wonderfully padded bar chairs and one of the best bar tenders I've met, Taisia. She worked her skills to make a drink the GF was tasting in her mind. The GF absolutely loved it! She led us through the menu and helped us order what we wanted. We ordered pretzel appetizer which consisted of 4 think and gorgeous soft pretzels with both cheese sauce and European style mustard. I ordered a garden salad which was cool, crisp and very tasty! The fish and chips I ordered were almost TOO good to believe! It was flakey, full of flavor, and the batter that was exceptionally golden, crispy and delicious! The price was very reasonable. The service and food quality were the stars!

Whitney D.

Yelp
This is a very spacious nice atmosphere brewery. It has a large outdoor area in the front with tables and chairs and games like corn hole. My friend and I sat at a high top table but there are other kinds if seating as well. Our waiter was very nice. I had asked if I could taste two beers and he was happy to give me a taste of both beers. My friend and I both got the pretzels which has alot of taste to it. I mean how can you go wrong with a brewery pretzels and a nice ice cold beer. There are a few other locations of Lord Hobo in the MA area. I recommend this place!

Thomas N.

Yelp
Me and my Brother have been doing a couple beer / brewery crawls over the past couple weeks..... Harpoon/Castle Island/ Cold Harbor/LostShoe/TackleBox//Medusa/Tree House/Redemption Brewing.... I LOVE me sum BOOM SAUCE.... But we just went to the Seaport Location and it SUX'd ...... Asked Bartender and Manager about the pints we were served... NOT Boom Suace! Bad experience!!!

Colton T.

Yelp
Great food, great service, and very accommodating during such a busy weekend. We sat outside around 7:00 pm and it was really fun. Get the truffle fries!

Jessica L.

Yelp
The staff was incredible! They were so friendly and welcoming. Conveniently located right across the Hampton inn. Loved the chill vibe. I got oysters and sour beer. The sour had a fun kick to it and the oysters were good. It was great music all night long! It's dim lit. I thought it was closed but staff Terry welcomed me to come in and I'm happy I did. Overall wonderful experience and I'll be happy to come back

Gabrielle D.

Yelp
Nice modern restaurant in the seaport area. We sat at the bar and service was fast. The beer was good - lot of options!

Catherine M.

Yelp
This place is relatively new and off the main strip in the seaport. Street parking is really horrible around this area and there are a few parking garages but they are on the expensive side. I made a reservation on Resy and they had a large seating area both inside and outside. They had a large draft list of their beers. The beers were a little expensive at $11 per beer. They also have beer flights which include 6 beers for $25. I had the freebird beer and it was good. My friends and I also split the hummus plate. It came with cucumber, tomatoes, bread and carrots. The hummus was also really flavorful. The service both between the hosts and the server were great.

John J.

Yelp
Says open until midnight - showed up 06/22/24 at 11:05 pm and CLOSED. HOURS ARE FALSE.

Alex G.

Yelp
The food is mixed. The burger was okay. But the beer is what is important. If you come for beer it is amazing. They really don't miss even with IPA which I think is trash but they still do a good job. The staff is friendly and the space is nice. A bit out of the way but worth it.

Joe B.

Yelp
Best meal we had in Boston, walking distance from our hotel this place was packed with standing drinkers for some type of event and we scored a non-reserved table. Servers are friendly, helpful, and supported ordering the fish tacos, smash burger, fried chicky sammie, and some DOPE Asian glazed crispy (juicy wings). Would recommend if you're staying in the seaport district for business or for leisure!

K M.

Yelp
Delicious juicy IPAs, comfortable bar seating, great service and the appetizer menu rocks. Had the dumplings and the scorpion shrimp, both amazing flavors!

Wendy B.

Yelp
A great place hidden away that locals highly recommend. Nice pub with excellent service, wide range of beer on tap, fully stocked bar and food that will amaze you! A must try!

Melissa M.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel next door and grabbed some burgers for take out. It is a tad pricey, although it is the city. It was a double burger patty with all the toppings and a good amount of fries. I would def go back. We didn't eat in or have a brew but I think it's worth the stop in.

Marc S.

Yelp
Holy crap....$27 for a flight??? I've never seen anything so outrageous. I think that says it all! If someone orders that you should tell them the price (since it's not on the menu). Beers are meh.

Stacey S.

Yelp
Service could improve but food and beer were great! I'd give it another shot. Good atmosphere and tap selection.

D M.

Yelp
I was a little hesitant to try this place out after seeing some of the reviews. But I chose to come in with some friends and sat on their huge patio, I seriously think this place is a hidden gem in the seaport area. No lines and no waiting. Our servers and bartenders were great and the food was solid, big shout out to our server Jordan! I'd definitely come back here.

John H.

Yelp
It wasn't busy so the staff were friendly and drinks and food were quick Food was potstickers tasted good with a dipping sauce Pretzels sticks with cheese and mustard Pretzels were slightly over done but the cheese dip was the ace for me - creamy cheesy like mac N cheese Mustard was ground seed type avg Sadly I forget to take a picture of the food

Kristin M.

Yelp
Place always has great food. Scorpion shrimp & fish tacos are awesome. Cocktails are also good, especially for a brewery (I don't drink beer). Bar area is super nice, garage door openings for summer and massive patio. Staff is attentive and nice. All around solid neighborhood staple!

K T.

Yelp
Terrrrribly slow service and unfriendly staff. Decent apps and cocktails. Convenience of location is the only draw.

Matt P.

Yelp
Food was okay. Fries were undercooked and chicken tenders were over fried. The service was really poor - the waitress didn't check in with us. We had to flag her down for our check and we ultimately went inside to get our own waters from the bar and high chair. Everyone can have a bad day, so I'd let that slide. However, the food and beer weren't so good as to get me to return.

Edward L.

Yelp
Hidden gem. The high TVs are nice so everyone can see them but they are a little too high

Tim W.

Yelp
Excellent fresh food - we had pork belly tacos, Buffalo cauliflower, and warm pretzel, great beer to go with the apps, staff was very friendly as well

Megan R.

Yelp
A hidden gem, we stayed across the street for four day traveling into downtown without even realizing this place was across the street. All the food and drinks we had we top of the line. Beer is solid for a local brewery. Cocktails were some of the best we had in the city. If your in Seaport, check this place out, guarantee you won't only go once!

Lilly T.

Yelp
Went for the first time. The drinks were good but expensive- $11 for a beer. Crazy. We ordered the nachos. On the plus side they were huge. However, the cheese was like a cheese sauce, and they were FREEZING cold. Not even room temp, tasted like they came out of the fridge. It was so disappointing. I then got the wings and pretzels. The pretzels were okay, served with COLD cheese dip. The wings were decently warm but too slimy, not crispy at all. Safe to say I will never be back, the drinks were crazy priced and the food experience was awful

Alli W.

Yelp
I was so excited about this place. I love brewery vibes so much. The food is always delicious, I can always find a good beer and I always have great conversations with my friends and family. This brewery lived up to none of that. While beautifully decorated, the servers were rude and the food/beverages were horribly overpriced. Wings were $18 and we assumed they were a dozen and shocked when they came out with 6 wings. I often enjoy flights at breweries as I like to try a few when I visit a new brewery. The flight selections did not have a price listed, so we assumed it was an average price, $15/flight at most. It was almost twice that. The limited flight was $29 and the core flight was $27. We got 2 app's, 2 glasses of sangria and 4 flights and it came out to $174. I am so incredibly let down.

Matthew F.

Yelp
Good appetizers and atmosphere. Service was good. Very convenient location to the Hampton Inn Seaport district.

Steve H.

Yelp
Do you like beer? Cool, this place has good beer. Do you like nice people? Well then this is where you should come. Jordan was our server and he was attentive and polite. We had so much fun and Jordan was great.

Melissa C.

Yelp
I've been to Lord Hobo a handful of times and each time has surprised me with something new and delicious. I had a refreshing Watermelon Martini made by Bartender Rey. The Buffalo wings I had was very flavorful with every bite. (Not just the outer layer) My parents enjoyed the Hobo Pretzels with Boom sauce beer cheese. Which was perfect while drinking Flights. Unfortunately we were so excited when the food came out we didn't get any pictures. I recommend you try it all and check out this very clean chic restaurant when in Boston. Boston Seaport is a long strip of great chain restaurants but Lord Hobo brings some new flavor to the area. You won't be disappointed.

Regina M.

Yelp
I was very excited to try Lord Hobo to celebrate my birthday. My server was rushing me and my boyfriend the whole meal, and had a nasty attitude towards us. It seemed like we were inconveniencing her by being there even though it was only us, a few people at the bar, and another small table. I will not be returning

Chris M.

Yelp
Each flight was $25+ and it was the only item on the menu without a price. Nice patio.

Tom S.

Yelp
Very eclectic atmosphere. Food was ok but not great. Beer was fine. Cocktails looked really good. This seems to be more of a trendy place for 30 year olds to socialize. If that's what you're looking for then you'll love it.

Persigo P.

Yelp
Best seaport spot for after work beers. Always come here with my team Jordan ray and Ty always know the perfect beers for my employees after a long day in the lab.

Carla H.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, decent service, love the outdoor seating, and the food is good. I don't think this is a place we will try more than once though because the prices are high for the beer and astronomical for the small portions of food.

Rob G.

Yelp
I would do zero stars if that was an option. I am a long time lord hobo fan, love boom sauce, currently one of my top beers. That said, extremely overpriced everything, a flight was almost $30, we paid $18 for 6 wings, $3 a wing. Service was awful, waitress were rude and inattentive. There are so many better breweries in the area, don't waste your time here.

Thomas G.

Yelp
I visited Lord Hobo Seaport this afternoon and unfortunately was greeted with an unfriendly staff from the start. Service was slow for how overpriced and inconsistent the drinks and food items were. Our total bill of nearly $175 for EIGHT menu items (including $18 for SIX wings) should have been left on the table unsigned. I will not be returning as a patron and I suggest you don't even give them opportunity to prove you otherwise. There are so many better options in the area worth checking out.

dave r.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere - very loud, but the staff was really helpful. Met some friends for a beer and apps and they were really cool - did not rush us. He the milk stout - can nevery go wrong.

Em J.

Yelp
This was the most bizarre experience . Having worked in the service industry, this was unacceptable. We ordered a round of drinks and food from a waiter once seated. After that, we didn't see the waiter ever again, so we started ordering from the bar. When we asked for the check, which we responsibly did, 4 waiters and then the manager all had to ask us what we got and then the manager became aggressive asking us who our waiter was and did not think to apologize at all. We continued to wait for our tab while we watched the waitstaff argue until they made us make a new tab, again without the apology for absolutely terrible service. I do not recommend this place unless you order from the bar.

Jasminique O.

Yelp
Excellent spot! Fresh food & speedy service. Went twice the weekend I spent in Boston.

Nancy S.

Yelp
I was staying at the Hampton Inn across the street and went there for dinner and drinks with friends. We are wine drinkers and were happy with their wine selection. The food was good as well.

Amber C.

Yelp
Disappointed!!! Last day in Boston, wanted to check out the new location.. I called and asked if they were open and serving food. Yes!! So I took an Uber with my luggage to the location and the doors were locked. I saw a person in side and they saw me but didn't open the door. I waited for a bit before I decided to leave and go somewhere else..
