"One of the great things about not going out anymore is being able to watch a lot more TV. Who needs drunken hookups and dancing when you’ve got British period pieces? Think of Lord Hobo, then, as a kind of halfway house between your couch and the club. That’s because it’s not just a bar with a great craft beer selection and plenty of tables for conversation, it’s also a bar with a big screen that regularly shows things like Teen Jeopardy with the sound on. It’s always great to be able to go out and still not miss out on any of your shows." - dan secatore

"Since it’s operated by a brewery, you probably assume that Lord Hobo has good beer. It does, but what you may not realize is that it has good beer brewed by other breweries, too. It’s small, comfortable, and never too rowdy, so you can focus on your drink the way a good drinker should." - dan secatore

"If you’re the type of person who avoids breweries because they smell like yeast and are often filled with more toddlers than your local preschool, you don’t need to worry about that at Lord Hobo in Cambridge. That’s because it isn’t a brewery, it’s a bar that just happens to be owned and operated by one. That means you can get a selection of beers that aren’t made solely by Lord Hobo, along with a full list of wine and cocktails. It’s a great little place to come hang out with a small group, particularly if your small group is in the mood to watch Teen Jeopardy with the sound on." - Dan Secatore

Overall we had a relaxing time here as it was pretty empty when we came on a Thursday afternoon. The bartender was super nice. My wife enjoyed her beer, and the music playing was great. Our only complaint was the food. We ordered the tortilla chips and hummus, which was kinda mid.

I learned tonight that this is no longer lord hobo. They do not have a new name, they do not serve LH beers, the sign has been painted over. The rating reflects that hobo is gone, but this hasn’t been advertised. The beer list was decent, the fries, tots, and pretzels were good. RIP original LH.

Enjoyed the "Core" flight, which was all IPA's and one lager (which tasted like an IPA). They were all pretty good, but I would like to see more variance in the more affordable flight option. I could have chosen the limited flight option, but I really would prefer just one to three dark beers to go with the light. Regardless, our service was quick and friendly, the prices are fair, and I would definitely come back!

On the outside it looks like a grungy bar, but on the inside you're transported to a hip little restaurant/bar. You expect ordinary bar food and instead you get a delicious culinary experience. I had pork belly and asparagus. The low carb options here were delicious!! Also, the staff were so nice and accommodating.

The food was rather good, the setting and ambience were really good as well. The restaurant filled up rather quick, so we were glad we got there when we did. I ordered the poutine and my friends ordered the fish and chips and the chicken sandwich, all of which were delicious. The staff, especially the front hostess, were very sweet. I did try to order an Arnold Palmer, but they said that they don't have any iced tea, so if anyone in your party wants it, just a note that they may not have it. :-) I would like to go back once I am able to.

You know why all craft beers aren't the same? The passion behind the brews, the educating consultative relationship of the brewery staff, and the low-key welcoming vibe at the taproom. You know when you're in a world-class place from the gurus serving you. I wish I had more thumbs... 👍👍👍👍 Great job Lord Hobo!

Have a fond memory of this place. Good location, great food for dinner, and of course, their boomsauce is terrific. The theme was quite rustic, which made the place cooler coming in for a dinner in late-winter/early-spring. Overall would highly recommend this place.

I'm not sure where to even start with this review. I walked in on a Saturday to a mostly empty bar and blaring bass music. I stood by the doorway a bit because no one greeted me and I wasn't sure if there would be a hostess to seat groups at the tables. Finally I sat myself down and waited for a server. Apparently it's counter service only, cool. It would have been nice for the bartender to say hi and that I could seat myself, though I probably wouldn't have been able to hear her over the music even if she had! The drink menu is only written on the wall, but there's no descriptions of what the beers are or who they're made by. I'd expect that from a dive bar maybe, but this place is supposed to be a brewery? When we went to order at the bar, the bartender kept having to ask us to repeat ourselves and speak up because she couldn't hear us over the loud music. We asked why it was playing so loud, and she then turned to the other guy working and told him we asked him to turn it down (which we hadn't). He got pissy about it and turned it down then sarcastically told us he hopes we enjoy our conversation. Like?? We came to a brewery on a Saturday afternoon, not a club. We all ordered food and it was fine, not great. My friend got the hummus and chips and it came with tortilla chips which was an odd choice. Even if the food or beer were good, no one in my party had a good time and we all agreed it's not a place we'd return to.
