The 19 Best Restaurants In Pittsburgh 2024

"Whenever we’re in a meeting and hear somebody say, "everyone can have a piece of the pie," we think about Lorelei. That’s because it's one of the best group dinner spots in the city, where you’ll need a crew to take down their menu of wood-fired pizzas. Enjoy thin, crispy, 14-inch Neapolitan-style pies like cacio e pepe, spicy pepperoni with homemade hot honey and pickled jalapeños, and weekly specials like Pennsylvania mushrooms and squash. The space is a giant beer hall where glasses overflow with kölsch, Italian pilsners, and a Franconian-style pale smoke lager, and the long, communal tables serve as runways for the various wine and amaro flights. Walk in, take over a table, and spend the night swapping slices instead of memes with your coworkers for once." - elaine zedack, quayla allen

An Alpine-inspired beer hall and cocktail house where impeccable lagers meet spruce-tipped drinks. Covered by Entertainment Central Pittsburgh and loved by locals for its transportive space and Germanic leanings.

Lorelei is a really cool cocktail bar with extremely unique drinks you’ll not likely find elsewhere. The tenders really know what they are doing. A really nice place with an eclectic and vintage feel. A great place to meet for a drink and catch up with friends. A great place to sketch and draw as well. Lots of interesting people and things to draw. Check it out.

Stopped in here for a Friday evening nightcap and was not disappointed. Trued a couple of libations, but the Old Money stood out. The drink menu rotates regularly, and they do have a taproom if you're there for beer. I did not try the pizza, but it seemed popular. The best part had to be the service. The crew here are personable, professional, and poised. Would belly up to this spot for a drink and banter any day of the week.

Google
Our bartender, Kameo, was awesome! He was knowledgeable and informative about the beer and food selections. We'll definitely be back.

Google
What a gorgeous, cozy place! We were recommended to check this place out, and we were absolutely tickled pink to find such a unique and well-loved place. The traditional beer hall tables in the back are so cozy, the Woodfired partnership gave us the most delicious cacio e pepe pizza to enjoy while we gushed over the fact we could have kölsch service within a mile of our house. We will be coming back, we will be bringing friends, and we hope to come back when more German beer lovers are filling this place with laughter.

Google
Love this place, the decor is fantastic and the lineup of beer is great. Has lots of the Golden Age beer always available as they are affiliated and a good selection of Imported beers. If you enjoy lagers, pils, and German style beers this is the place. The pizza is also very delicious. Great place to grab a beer and some food, lots of places also in walking distance.

Google
Came with a group of friends and got fun cocktails and 2 pizzas. We did wait 45 minutes for our pizzas, but the cashier was upfront about that and were ok with it. Our pizzas were the cacio pepe and the pepperoni peps. The cacio Pepe was a yummy white sauce pizza and tasted better with pepper flakes. The pepperoni pep pizza had a savory combination of jalapeño and honey on it. It was disappointing that the pizza had burnt crusts

Google
Great food and exceptional service! The drinks are so tasty and the pizza is phenomenal. The décor is fresh and elegant. They required vaccination when I visited, but that made me feel a lot more comfortable because the place was packed.

Google
Fun drinks and woodfired pizza. They have imported beers from Germany and local Pittsburgh beer. You seat yourself and order at the bar. We ordered the pickle pizza special and cocktails. Everything tasted great; pizza was ok (but that would be good for Pittsburgh). Drinks and food were served quickly. Prices were so-so (high for small pizzas; average for cocktails and drinks). It’s a nice spot to just drink and chat.

Yelp
Stopped by to check out Lorelei's Krampus Island Holiday Pop-up. My friend and I enjoyed some of their cocktails off the popup menu including the Douglas Fir and Kramplemousse. The drinks were balanced and delicious. They offer pizzas and some other small bites at a conjoining pizza restaurant called Woodfired. Their pepperoni pizza was so good and I had lunch for the next day!

Yelp
We stopped by on a whim on a Saturday night around 9pm and it was absolutely packed but we were able to snag two seats at the bar in their beer hall. We didn't get any food but we each got a drink. I got a beer in the cutest glass and my friend got one of their Krampus Island cocktails and we enjoyed both. The beer hall side is a bit on the dim side so perfect for a night out or a date night.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by to check out their holiday drinks for Krampus Island and had a blast! The seasonal cocktails are delicious, well balanced, and so fun to look at! The pizzas, as always, are amazing and wood fired. The space at Lorelei is so comfortable and warm, while still looking modern and sleek. We sat at the bar and had great service, didn't wait long for food or drink, and the bartender was helpful with guiding us in the drinks! If you go during the holiday pop up, GET THE BOOT!

Yelp
Pizza and fantastic brews and cocktails, what more could you ask for! Lorelei is one of the coziest bars in the area. Very knowledgeable and kind staff, plus their pizza is delicious! Front room serves cocktails and wine while the back "beer hall" serves... you guessed it, beer! No reservations and first come first serve seating. I've never had trouble finding a seat before though.
google avatar

Yelp
Lorelei has a fantastic concept with something for everyone. We spent the evening on the wine/cocktail bar side of the house but there are also spaces for coffee (during the day) and beer. They also have a pizza menu! It can be crowded and loud in the evenings but there are many seating types and outdoor picnic tables. The bartenders are efficient and make thoughtful drinks. I wish I took a picture of the menu but I had a tequila cocktail with amaro and falernum and it was very well balanced. I look forward to visiting again and trying new drinks!

Yelp
You come to this place not for the food, but the nice ambiance and somewhat affordable beer. You seat yourself and grab water/utensils. There's a two areas to sit- one more for drinks and the other with picnic style seating. There's also outdoor seating. AC is kept at 73, so it can feel a bit warm inside in summer. Food is alright, but definitely a bit pricey for what you pay. All the pizzas are thin crust, so I would recommend 3 for 4 people if you intend on actually eating a meal instead of just socializing. There's usually a DJ in the corner, but the music is pretty standard top 50. Service is friendly and fast.

Yelp
Great pizza, great apps, great drinks!! Everything was delicious. Their ordering system confused me at first, I wasn't sure which bar I was supposed to order at, and where to pick up the pizza (order at the front bar, pick up in a back room near the kitchen). It wasn't a big deal but something I noticed. Aesthetic was super cute, we were there early, and by the time we left a DJ was setting up that evening. Love it! Highly recommend. Great experience overall.

Yelp
Finally made it here with my friends. Love their selection of drinks tho choose from! Amazing vibe in there and staff are always friendly. Looking forward to trying their other rotating menu!

Yelp
Such a great ambiance with communal tables and drinks/food, but their pizza took FOREVER. we unfortunately waited for so long for a burnt crust pizza. The waitstaff were nice and attentive. Parking on the street. Would recommend you come check it out!

Yelp
We stopped in before heading home on a Saturday night as they had a barleywine night and we love some Bwizzle. They were out of the one we lost wanted to try but we understood that was sought out. We tried two others though that we don't typically see around here. They had several local barleywines (East End Gratitude) as well. Service was very friendly and she was happy to recommend based on our tastes. The place was pretty empty but they had just switched to being open later. The pizza sounds amazing (and looks good) but they were long sold out for the night. We definitely will return, especially for the cacio e Pepe pizza. Great little spot to stop into for something different. We stuck to the beer hall but they also have another side with wine and cocktails and even a wine shop.
google avatar

Olivia O.

Yelp
Trendy wine bar in east liberty. They have beer on draft from local brewery's which I always appreciate. The wine list has great variety! They also have cocktails. They do it all. The food options are wood fired pizza salads and some small bites. The pizza is great!

Yelp
This is a super cool place but the girl who waited on me had a crappy attitude. I stopped in one day to grab a vegan pie to go on my walk back to the hotel I was staying at after enjoying a couple beers and an app down the street. I walked in and placed an order to go and bought a couple beers while waiting for my buzzer to go off. I asked the girl who waited on me if I could buy a mug but she said there were non available but I was like why don't you just sell me one of these, lol! She said she couldn't, makes zero sense, but okay. The atmosphere was nice and every seemed to be enjoying themselves. I love the fact that they have a wine bar on the other side with what looked to be some cool af mixologists at the bar as well. The pizza was probably one of the best vegan pies I have ever had, even though it was overpriced for what I got, but that is the cost of being vegan and saving as many animals as possible. I liked this place, I'll be back again to enjoy that banger of a pizza while enjoying some cold brews from my favorite mug that I couldn't buy, boo!

Yelp
I know Pittsburgh has many pizza spots but this place really surprised me. It always looked really nice from the outside but I was not expecting the food and the drinks to be this amazing. They have one of the best thin crust pizzas around, and all of their drinks were complex and very high quality. Ordering and picking up your food might be a bit confusing but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straight forward. I will say, it took a while to get our pizza but it was very busy. I will for sure order ahead next time

Yelp
Been here so many times over the years and I know I've left a review but no idea what happened to it. Anyway, I loved it when they first opened and went back for the first time in a long time. It's ok now. Not bad and not good. Just not spectacular like I remember it being.

Yelp
This is a cute spot in East Liberty! They are a bar that has a separate wine/cocktails and beer bar counters. They also serve woodfire pizza here and my friends said it was pretty delicious. I liked the cocktails here a lot. We tried the Composer and Alpine Old Fashioned. I didn't like the cider I had here since it was quite footy. The beer was good. I liked how much seating there was inside, since it expected it to be smaller. This is a decent place for a larger group since they have large tables. There's also seating outside with picnic tables. Overall, a good spot to go with friends for a drink. Service was decent but it was quite confusing when we first got there since we didn't know how it worked. You really just find a table and order at the bar.

Yelp
Incredibly unique atmosphere for Pittsburgh. I wasn't expecting the cafeteria-style seating but it was different in a good way. The ambiance was a 5/5. They have a cool craft cocktail menu. I had their take on the aperol spritz which was tasty. Every other cocktail on the menu looked delicious! We had the cacio e pepe pizza which was good, I'm just not the fondest of wood fired pizza; this was still great though. We were also told the wait for pizza could be as long as an hour and fifteen minutes, but it ended up coming out after about 30 minutes. The downfall of our night was the service. Our server took our food and drink order and then essentially disappeared and they never came back over to us. Someone else brought our food out and the bartender brought our drinks over. After finishing our cocktails and pizza and sitting around for a while, a nice woman that I assume was the manager (the girl with pink hair!) came over to us to see how everything was and if we needed anything. She was super sweet and got us a box and our check and then was talking with us about our night. We wanted to order a second round of drinks but after our server's long disappearance, we didn't have time. I would come back and sit at the bar- the bartenders seemed very attentive, plus I love watching people make drinks. For the price, I probably wouldn't get pizza again. I would probably give this place a 3.5 stars.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
I like this place. The dining area had good vibes and the food was great! Our group sampled most of their cocktail menu, and while I don't remember their names I did think they were all quite tasty. I think the place is self bus when it's busy, but our server told us not to worry about it since it was just a Thursday night. The restaurant is in a great spot to walk to get ice cream, or bar hop after your meal, so that was another benefit of hanging here. Overall, I think the high rating of this place is well deserved and I would go back if looking for a hip place to eat with good drinks!

Yelp
Came in for drinks after dinner tonight. Really like the vibe of this place. Had a great gin drink--the Last Waltz-- that the bartender had developed. In the past haver gotten their pizza which is very good. Need to come back here more often!
google avatar

Ankita S.

Yelp
This place offers counter service. The staff was amicable. I like the ambience. It's a good place for drinks! The drinks were really good and so were the small plates. I had ordered red pepper dip which was good. I ordered mushroom pizza. It wasn't that great. The pizza sauce was very sweet and mushrooms very salty.
google avatar

Yelp
Popped in for a night cap on a Friday night. Very helpful staff who helped my indecisive self. Will be back.
google avatar

Anoushka P.

Yelp
This place feels like a European escape! The pizza is great, the drinks are great and the ambiance is absolutely beautiful! I loved that there were vegan options and drink options from creative cocktails, to beers, and exotic wines. It's a little on the pricy side, but given the quality of the service and the experience, it's well worth it.

Yelp
I've been coming to Lorelei for years - always great service and even better drinks. With the addition of Woodfired pizzas, it's impossible not to keep going back! I think about the Cacio e Pepe pizza OFTEN. Their seasonally rotating drink menu is always a delight - right now I've really loved their Briar Rose.

Janessa H.

Yelp
Food, cocktails, atmosphere was all amazing. Going to try and go again before my trip to Pittsburgh is over.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute date spot for just drinks. We sat at the bar and got a glass of wine each. Bar could easily have a few more spaces with some high tops around. We were told about last call around 9:45 and just finished our wine and left- not a place I think I would try to eat at it I return.
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Great pizza and cocktails. Wood fire pizza was amazing, would definitely order again! Cocktails takes good as well. Service was great and staff were all friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
One word, okay maybe two: peach pizza. Could this be the second biggest pizza controversy after pineapples on pizza? Maybe. But if you take anything from this review, please at least try it. The peach's subtle sweetness is the perfect balance against the saltiness of the pizza. It's not as overpowering as you may think. Honestly all of their pizza was great. We also had the cacio de Pepe and the chorizo and I wouldn't be able to come up with a critic even if I had to. Not to mention they have a wide selection of delicious beer and mixed drinks to pair with their delicious pizza. The space is also a great place for large groups or a date. Never had a problem getting a seat and it's quiet enough for conversation though not overly so.
google avatar

Molly H.

Yelp
Every time I've been to Lorelei has been so delightful, from drinks to food and everything in between. I'm thrilled that they've pivoted to pizza as well as wonderful beverages! They really lean into seasonal specials and events, and their menu seems to rotate to meet the energy of changing interests and available produce/ingredients. Lorelei is great for a date night, girl's night out, or a group gathering - it's both elegant and fun!

Sandy R.

Yelp
Great drinks some are a little out there but very interesting. The food was also good. We had 2 kids with us and they loved it.

Yelp
I went to Lorelei recently for the cleverly named event, Daniel Day Drinking: There will be Barleywine. The barleywine on tap was Gratitude from East End Brewery, which is one of my favorites, and the event was cause for Lorelei to open their doors at 2pm on a Saturday, so I had to go. The event organizers nailed every detail, right down to a PSA on their draft list above the bar asserting that they "apologize for nothing." We paced ourselves, or so we thought, through five-ounce pours of Gratitude '19, '20, and '22 until we couldn't remember how many we had ordered. The bartender was a bastion of politeness when we requested an itemized receipt, even offering to remove any rounds that may have been added by mistake--there weren't any mistakes made, at least not by the bartender. We had a great time. The only reasons Lorelei doesn't offer a five-star experience are that the noise level gets out of control well before the place fills up, and the prices are a half notch too high. For Daniel Day Drinking, though, it was worth it.

Yelp
The room and space is perfect. When I'm looking for an awesome space to have a cocktail and enjoy an environment, this place has it all. The service is good. Nice people, just isn't a service industry environment. Ordering a drink at a counter, only to wait for your name to be called, like you are at a coffee shop is far from appealing. In fact, it's disconnect experience makes me not want to come back. When I go to a bar, I want the full experience. I don't want to the sensation of ordering from a menu, like a Starbucks, only waiting for my name to be called. It turned me off, big time. 5 star environment 2 star concept 4 star people (yes they all were nice!) 3 star drinks

Amanda M.

Yelp
A little busy the night we went in but service was still great. Bartender Helped me decided which drink to have which is always nice! The pizza is some of my favorite wood fired pizza I've had since moving to Pittsburgh. The Basel has been set by living in Italy and NYC. Great for a date night or even a bunch of friends. They have outdoor seating and indoor so plenty of options.

Yelp
Finally made it back to this adorable spot for the first time since the pandemic! I love Lorelei, the decor is so great - it's a place I enjoy even more during fall/winter. Although the ceilings are high, it just feels so cozy. The front room is a cute cocktail bar & the big back room is a beer hall with communal tables. I don't love that you have to order beer & cocktails from different rooms (I think there used to be servers but I could be misremembering) it makes for strange feeling flow / not the best experience when some people are drinking cocktails and others beer. One or the other has to leave the table and go to the other room to get their drink ordered. For cocktails, it felt a bit awkward standing there waiting for your drink and then traipsing through the other room with it to get to your table, but a place can't be perfect...ya know? It's better if you sit in the cocktail side for cocktails (because it's quicker for someone to run and grab a beer from the other side than waiting for a cocktail to be made) but we prefer the vibe of sitting in the beer hall side (and the cocktail side was a bit stinky last time) so it's not the smoothest and if it was just my husband and I he'd be sitting alone quite awhile while I go get drinks. Luckily, we usually go with friends! Back and forth between rooms aside... Their cocktails are phenomenal. We had the "White Stag" & "Live Long & Pros-Pear" both delicious & perfect for autumn. We also got to enjoy some pizzas from Woodfired - a seasonal white pumpkin & a spicy pepperoni. I preferred the red pizza but both were tasty & done to perfection.

Yelp
Krampus, Baby holiday pop up! Open Wednesday through Saturday 5p-10p. Delicious holiday cocktail menu. Amazing pizza from the food menu!
google avatar

Joey S.

Yelp
Wow are the cocktails here delicious and extremely well crafted! I have a high standard for cocktails and the drinks at Lorelei are well thought out and even better crafted. They offer a food menu from their neighbor, Woodfired, and it is KILLER! Specifically, the caccio e pepe pizza is seriously one of the best I've ever had. Try it for yourself!

Yelp
After my lackluster experience with the cardboard pizza at Papa J's, I had been feeling disheartened by Pittsburgh's pizza offerings. However, I gave Lorelei's a shot and now my faith has been restored. The potato pizza was soft and flavorful, fresh out of the oven. The crust was not bitter and held up pretty well before turning soggy. The mushroom pizza was not as tasty, but it still had robust flavors from the tomato sauce and mushrooms. Overall, delicious. The mocktail, rose quartz, was a refreshing accompaniment to the pizza . Normally mocktails are too sweet without having a proper balance of club soda and syrup. This was a perfect drink--not only aesthetic, but with a strong, subtly sweet rosemary flavor. Highly recommend! The alcoholic cocktails were not as good--just strong, pure spirit lacking the advertised flavors/mixes. The carrot cake dessert was also a bit disappointing. It was like a parfait, but the bits of carrot cake were dry and not as spongey as I would've liked. The spiced whipped cream was airy and made the dessert more bearable. All in all, the restaurant has excellent young adult ambience with a beautiful interior. Pricey drinks, maybe not as good as Urban Tap's. However, the pizza is fairly decent.

Craig S.

Yelp
Fun local place. We had pizza which was quite tasty. The whipper ricotta appetizer was awesome. The schwarzbier was excellent.
google avatar

Emily E.

Yelp
Finally tried this place after wanting to for months! The pizza was really good, not the best in the city but I'd have it again. The atmosphere is probably the best part of the restaurant. You order your drinks and pizza at a counter and then take a buzzer to your table. The inside is really cute and very bright and open. A good place to come with friends!
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
We had an amazing time at Lorelei! The cocktails are very on par with some of the other best cocktail bars in the city. We ordered the Amalfi Gimlet, the King Louie, and the Alpino Sour. All the drinks were great. My personal favorite drink was the King Louie served with a balsamic glaze. We also ordered a pizza which was pretty tasty. Service is fantastic; all of the waiters are extremely helpful and friendly! We cannot wait to return.
google avatar

Lisa K.

Yelp
I really want to (still) love this place. The beer is still good, and if you want a pizza, they make good wood fired versions. But - really - there are a LOT of places to get pizza. I am open to change but miss the unique menu from early Lorelei. I don't see that the space is as busy as pre-Covid either and wonder if others feel the same.

Yelp
Great pizza from Woodfired. Great craft cocktails served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Great cocktail and German beer bar in East Liberty Drinks: 4, Value: 3, Atmosphere: 4, Service: 4 We had always heard this place was a cocktail bar, but we were surprised to hear this is also a German beer bar! We love German beer and this place has a great selection of around 10-15 German beers. We had Schneider Aventinus and the Reissdorf Kolsch. The Aventinus is one of the best German beers around so we were excited to see this on the menu. The Kolsch was a nice light beer, but is was lacking a bit of carbonation. Happy hour is Wed-Fri 5-6 and Saturday 4-6 and they have $4 pils and helles, $2 off wine by the glass, and $3 off cocktails. However, they don't have any specials on any other of the German beers on the menu which is disappointing since we don't really like pilners and helles. The inside is nice and has two rooms separated by a small hallway. They do full service on both sides. The front room is the "cocktail" side with small tables and a bar. The back room has a more German biergarden vibe with long wooden tables with benches and another bar. The place was really crowded on a Saturday night with not a lot of places to sit. Overall, a nice little bar with a great German beer selection. However, wish they had more space and a better happy hour special on all their beers.

Yelp
Like the beautiful Lorelei of folk legend, this new establishment can lure me toward the rocks any day! I'm a complete fan of 2018 Chef of the Year, Jamilka Borges. Her food is always amazing, and Lorelei's food is no exception. First, the beer list is extraordinary. I find very few places that carry Brew Gentleman, so that's a real plus for me. I can't speak for the mixed drinks, except they are hand crafted, use the best ingredients, and they look amazing. The food menu is somewhat limited, although they do change the menu somewhat frequently. My friend recommended the Lamb Pie, which I dutifully ordered, and it was delicious. The Pretzel is unique, and hard to describe, but it's a gourmet treat. The Ricotta Pie is also remarkable. For dessert, I ordered the Pumpkin Mousse, which was stellar. Overall, the food is outstanding, creative and delicious. Just a few notes, there are some details that beg for improvement. There were a number of mistakes made with my order, but I will completely forgive those slips, because this place is still new. The place can be extremely drafty in the wintertime, I'm not sure what can be done about that, except that the cold air rushes in anytime the door is opened, and there are 2 entrances, so it's a little difficult to escape. I thought it was hilarious that they offer German Chocolate Cake. So many details of the restaurant are authentically German, however German Chocolate cake is named after Sam German, and has absolutely nothing to do with Germany. Let's just assume Lorelei is being playful, and that they are celebrating all things German!
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
Excellent food, a great sound set up even though I don't think have live music except for DJs and acoustic shows. Weds night they have an excellent happy hour with $3 10 oz good Kolsch beers. Cool, laid back environment, great place for small groups. I have only had food there once but it was excellent.

Yelp
Lorelei is such a unique space and a great edition to Pittsburgh! The space is gorgeous. So clean and fresh looking! Crisp white walls with greenery and succulents everywhere! Lorelei would be a great choice for a bridal/ baby shower. The beer is cold and they have great happy hour specials! They are known for their pretzels, but I thought they were just okay in my opinion. The cakes and cookies looked way better ;) East Liberty is the new poppin neighborhood in town with tons of great options to eat and drink; and Lorelei fits right in!
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
The space is absolutely beautiful. High ceilings, natural decor, very historic building. Our bartender, Cat, was great. She was very helpful when it came to selecting drinks, and sweet as could be. Our drinks were amazing, they are a little pricey, but that is to be expected. They even have clear ice! Very classy. I had the best German chocolate cake that I have ever had in my life. Of course, the desserts are sitting out for all to see (how can you say no). The cake was amazing! I would come back here just for dessert.. but then again.. I want to try every drink on their menu. Highly recommend Lorelei for any occasion!

Yelp
So this was my second visit to the Lorelei. The first time I was definitely taken a back by the minimalistic and beautiful decor. On that visit we sat in the beer hall room and ordered cocktails and split the octopus pie. The drinks were great but the pie was very disappointing; it was soggy and cold. We decided to give it a second try while strolling around east liberty. This time we sat in the first room which definitely has a more intimate feel. Our server was very helpful and kind. We tried the pretzel which was just okay. The dip was very hard to actually dip which made it kinda useless. Over all I think Lorelei is a great place for date or place to grab a drink or two with a friend. I would bypass the food and go straight to the bar.

Yelp
From the get go, I loved the lively atmosphere and easy-going decor with white tiles and green backdrop as well as house plants. Got the Black Forest for myself which really was "Spirit-Forward" as they've advertised. The cherry went with the rum and hint of cacao. My friend's frozen drink was super good too! Tasted just like a good smoothie. We also shared the Leziz Pretzel that was served super warm with mustard and potato salad. The potato salad is to-die-for and I wish I could by it in bulk somehow. Wanna be back to try more of their food soon!

Yelp
What a great spot! After driving past Lorelei for years I'm so glad I finally got to try it. We'll definitely be coming back I met up with a group of friends for happy hour on a weekday. All beers were $2 off! Their beer menu has alot of German beers (in keeping with the German beer hall theme), which was fun to explore. I tried a Woodruff Berliner which was tart in a really nice, light way. They also had a nice selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic beers (bottles/cans) Their white bean dip was a great stater, and I was really pleasantly surprised by their wood-fired pizza. The Peppy Pep was loaded with pepperoni and jalapenos and just the right amount of spicy. And the crust was fantastic - light and a little crispy. I'd say the pizzas serve 1 if you are looking for a solid meal and 2 if you are getting an app and want a lighter meal. One thing that was new to me was that 20% gratuity is automatically added to every bill (not just large groups). However, our server was super attentive and friendly the entire night, so I had no issues with the gratuity being added.

Yelp
I've been coming to Lorelei pretty regularly. It's a nice relaxed bar---well, sort of, the atmosphere is a unique in-between beer hall, bar, and restaurant. I like the ambiance, though sometimes it can be too loud when it's very crowded, given the small and lightly furnished (see: lots of echo) space. Beer: The beer selection is great. I tend to prefer wheat beers, brown ales/stouts, and fruited sours. They have options from all categories, and they never disappoint. Pizza: The pizza is good. It's not amazing, and definitely doesn't reach the levels of, say, Mercurio's (if you want authentic Italian) or Iron Born (if you want more American). But, it's always satisfying, and definitely a solid option if you're looking to combine drinks and food. Plus, beer and pizza is a combination that's hard to beat! I have not had a chance to try out the cocktails or wine, so I cannot comment on those. All in all, a good option to unwind with friends after the end of a busy week. I just wish they had longer hours---even on Fridays and Saturdays, the kitchen closes at 9 pm (o earlier), and the bar closes at 10 pm, which is just too early.
