"Don Lorenzi's family has a long history of grape growing in southern California, but for him, it started as a hobby: He started as a home-winemaker, but in a matter of years he was making enough for friends to opening a winery. Finally, in 2013, he opened a tasting room." - Richard Nalley

A member took me here to celebrate my birthday and I was very impressed. The service is great, the view is beautiful, even the smell of the flowers is a wonderful addition to the ambiance. The wine is really good. I'm not a fan of white wine but enjoyed drinking one here. I also tend to lean towards Cabernet Sauvignon but took home something completely different. The prices aren't bad and it's absolutely worth a try. If I didn't live so far and drank wine more often, I'd have a membership myself.

Excellent representation of Temecula wines presented by our lovely wine steward Monica. We had a fabulous time sipping the delicious delights from Lorenzi Estate. Highly recommend the meticulous wines that really give you an amazing experience sitting next to the vineyard. Thank you Monica for your warm and gracious hospitality! We’ll be back! Best winery in Temecula!

Google
So we tried this winery first. Found out that if we had gone to another winery first , we would have received a buy 1 get one free coupon. So, I got penalized for trying them first. Red wine was very good.... I was just disappointed with paying for 2 people when everybody else was paying for one. Even though the wine tender knew this. Sorry, I'm not buying wine there now. Recommend you change your marketing policy to not penalize tourists who research early for good wines. Good wine, unfair marketing.

Our visit to Lorenzi Winery was an absolute treat! The views were breathtaking, with gorgeous flowers adding to the setting. The atmosphere was very laid-back, relaxed vibe that instantly put us at ease. Our server, Cole, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, enhancing our experience even more. His attentiveness made us feel truly welcomed, and his knowledge of the wines was wonderful. Lorenzi provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.

My husband and I were there yesterday. We met with a super cool employee who guided us thru their amazing wine variety and we really enjoyed their product. We also learned about how much of owners envolvement there is on production and we really loved that as well. While at the winery we found our that the other owner was there, then we immediately wanted to thank them for creating all tobose products of the ppl to enjoy. The day went on and it got cold out, so y hisband and I we went inside and eventually we met the owner. I approached to her to thank her in person for their efforts on creating such extraordinary products and future business success. We were told by one of her employees that she was one of the owners(wife) and I felt like even more special thay she was there. I then decided to come up and I was met with an extended hand, fingers up, as if you were met with a traffic police officer at stop sign. She made me feel little, insignificant and unwelcome. I still said kind worlds while thanking her for their business and it went out thru her other ear. My husband and I are self made multi millionaires. We are very humble and down to earth, I am coming from a third world country and my husband from a struggling family in Pittsburgh. We would never push anyone away, specially in a business or profesional setting. She made me feel unwelcome in so many ways, not to mention rejection. Physical rejection from a single hand shake is the ultimate sign of rudeness and rejection. Not sure what it was, maybe because we are a same gender couple or maybe she was not in her right mind space. Anyways, we canceled our membership there as we do not want to bring business to that type of business.

We have been members for just over a year and every time service, and the wine, has been amazing. Our last visit Alejandro was a fantastic server and sommelier. Can't wait to come back again soon! Update: it's been awhile since the above. I have to say we still love the service and the wine here. Alejandro is still amazing. Today we had Cole and he was also great! We love our visits. Lorenzo wine is the BEST!

I have to say my first impression upon walking into Lorenzi Winery was not so good. Well that changed! Monica, the pourer was great, personable, knowledgeable, friendly and hung out with us for the hour we were there. The wine was delicious and the experience was great. Def be revisiting!

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and staying in Escondido. Went for an afternoon wine tasting with friends who live San Diego who picked this winery and I had a very enjoyable time. The service was warm and friendly, and the tasting was in the outdoor patio in the back with a good view overlooking the property. We ended up buying a couple if bottles of 2020 Dark Places Reserve, which was a full bodied, tasty red blend. Great introduction to wines of Temecula and will remember this place the next time we're back in the area.

Rob B.

Yelp
Nice smaller winery in Temecula. I've been drawn to the smaller wineries where they take pride in their wines, and Lorenzi is very proud of their wines. There are multiple tastings offered, and their grounds are pretty and intimate. This is a place to enjoy the wine, so if you're looking for a place to hit on the party busses, this might be the wrong spot. The wines are decent. We particularly enjoyed the Can Franc (and left with a few bottles). The rest of the wines were nice, although I didn't find them as noteworthy (of course, this is largely personal preference). Didn't particularly care for the push to upsell, but it was nice that the staff was knowledgeable about their wines.

Shawna R.

Yelp
This winery was down the street from where we were staying so my mom, sis and niece decided we needed to treat ourselves to a little wine tasting! I mean we are in wine country, we might as well. We were greeted right away, sat down at the bar and Cole was our server for the tasting. He explained the wines, gave us a little background of the winery and told us that this was a co-ownership winery of a husband and wife. The wines are only sold at the winery and you can choose from two sizes. My mom and niece both got the flight of wines to taste, whereas my sis and I got a glass of wine. Now before you commit to that one glass, he let me sample it first. It was smooth, a little sweet but definitely subtle on your pallet. The glass I committed to was a mixture of cab and syrian called dark places. If you're in the area and wanting to try a family owned winery, this is the spot to come to. Exclusive wines just from this winery are here and a selection of white, rosé and reds to choose from. Grab a glass, a bottle or a flight to try out and enjoy your time at this winery.

Jarek M.

Yelp
Cheers! Lorenzi is a popular winery offering good selection of awarded wines and friendly service. The price per glass of wine ($20) is slightly above average comparing to other wineries, however, quality of wine and attentive knowledgeable staff makes it well justified. You will definitely feel welcome here and get to enjoy natural surroundings and quality glass of wine.

Sandi B.

Yelp
Stopped here due to a recommendation from another winery in Dec 28, 2024. Fell in love with the winery, the view, the service, and the wine. Have come back each month since and hoping to continue. My favorite wines from Temecula.

Tammy T.

Yelp
I have been to several wineries im Temecula with thousands of reviews and was not impressed with their wines. I thought Temecula was just a tourist trap. This place changed my opinion about wines in Temecula. This wineries offers top notch wines. The quality of the wines and sevice are outstanding. I felt i finally found a real good winery in Temecula. Big shout out to our server, Alejandro, who service was really above and beyond

Rachel B.

Yelp
They have the absolute best reds in Temecula! The only winery we are members of. We love their wines, relaxed atmosphere, no fuss, just great wines.

Amber B.

Yelp
We have been to many wineries in the Temecula Valley and we base our decision to return on two things: 1) is the service good? In other words, are we made to feel welcome and wanted? And 2) the wine; is it good consistently, year after year? For Lorenzi Winery, the answer to both these questions is a resounding YES. First off, the people who work there are incredible (this includes the servers AND the owners). They not only know a lot about wine, but they treat everyone (members and first time customers) with respect and make you excited to be there. Customer service is the #1 deciding factor on if we'll return to a business, and Lorenzi is one of the rare places where no matter who pours your wine, you'll have a great experience. And then there is the wine. We love wine and have been to Paso and Sonoma and have enjoyed many a bottle. However, Lorenzi's wines are some of the best around, hands down. The owner/wine maker prides himself on attention to detail and does not compromise on making the best wines and he never disappoint. They specialize in reds, but oftentimes have a white or two available including an amazing sparkling. We love reds and their reds are absolutely incredible. In addition, the winery itself is beautiful. It's smaller and more intimate than some of the other wineries around, and this lends to a more personalized and educational experience. You'll learn about the wines from the amazing staff and you'll get a beautiful view of the vines as you enjoy some of the best wines you've ever had. If quality customer service and consistently good (amazing!) wines are what you're looking for, Lorenzi Estate Winery is a place you'll want to visit.

Fran L.

Yelp
Very exclusive, moderately priced wines that are almost all blended with certain thematic approach to wine made from four to seven different varieties of grapes that are boldly represented by the unique names attached to these interesting wines. I enjoyed the intimate setting of the beautiful vineyard and attentive service. The wine we tried were definitely delicious and different. The prices ranged from $75 - $190 per bottle. I liked Adam and Eve but several others liked NAPA Cabernet Sauvignon with $190 tag on it. I'm sure they were persuaded by the artificially inflated price tag!

Juliana D.

Yelp
The absolute best experience in Temecula! I went with a few of my girlfriends and had the best time out of all the other places we went to that weekend. The service was impeccable. I wish I could remember his name, but the man who helped us was so knowledgable and passionate about the vineyards and the wines. He answered all of our questions and was just so kind. The place itself was beautiful, with gorgeous views over the vineyard. It was sunny and getting rather hot, but they made sure we had enough shade with the umbrellas, and I never felt overheated. The wines themselves were fabulous, and we didn't try a single one we didn't love. I cannot recommend Lorenzi enough!

Andrea H.

Yelp
Monica was friendly and relatable. They do have food, which looked good but we had just eaten. We'll probably try their charcuterie next time! They have a smaller inside with tables and outside, but nobody was serving outside. Presumably because it was hot.

Stacey C.

Yelp
AMAZING reds. Brenda & Alejandro are wonderful and so knowledgeable. I truly love coming to this winery. If you like big reds, come here. You won't be disappointed.

JoAnne P.

Yelp
I love this place. The wine is great. The customers service is excellent. I have been here several times, and I never disappointed. The grounds and whinery are beautiful. A great place to visit.

Yelp
Last Sunday, on what was a very rainy day, the Mrs. and I decided to do some wine tasting on our way home from Borrego Springs. It had probably been about ten years since we last tasted in the Temecula area. Frankly, I had moved on from Temecula wines. My last experience tasting in the area was disappointing. The Mrs. chose Lorenzi Estate Vineyards and Winery based upon Yelp. Lorenzi is a small family owned winery. Not one of those commercial monstrosities that got Rancho California Road. We arrived around 10 a.m. and the rain was steady falling. We were seated at a small table for two outside underneath a gazebo. Heaters kept us warm as we looked out over the vineyards draped in a misty curtain. Our tasting was perfectly paced. We started off with the Estate Chardonnay which was good. Not a giant oak bomb like most Chardonnays tend to be. Then we moved on to the reds and my whole attitude towards Temecula wines started to change. Each wine we had has well crafted and had character. Not the flabby drink it now or it will turn to salad dressing wines I remember coming out of Temecula. We ended up walking out with a bottle of the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2017 IL Vento. The service we received from the young man who was pouring for us was incredible. he let us tan our time and we ended up spending a good to hours enjoying the wine and atmosphere.

Christine O.

Yelp
Outstanding wines! In my opinion the best in the valley!we travel a lot. Wines of the world.e

Sharon V.

Yelp
Our first visit here, my husband and I had a fabulous time talking with one of the owners and really enjoyed sampling the wines. She was incredible and we couldn't wait to come back. A month later, we returned a second time and our table was serviced by an older gentlemen. The tasting was impersonal, rushed, pours were sloppy and very little information was shared about the wines during his brief visits to the table. We ended up listening to another employee waiting on the table next to us to learn more about the wines. We even had to ask him to clarify a few things with the tasting. In the 3 questions we asked him, he provided much better service than the joker working our table did the entire time we were there. We were going to buy a few more bottles of a red that we got last time but we left empty handed and very disappointed that our two experiences here were vastly different. We unfortunately won't be back any time soon. Too many wineries to visit in the area to drop $100+ and leave feeling like you were more of an inconvenience than a guest.

Ethan D.

Yelp
Make sure you have a reservation otherwise you may not have a chance to make tasting. Red wines are unique I am not a fan of red blends but here is different.

Diana G.

Yelp
I really enjoyed visiting this winery when visiting Temecula, Ca. The wine was great! The Cabernet was delicious, strong and dry as I like it. I loved the ambiance, and the customer service. It was a great place to visit. They have snacks to munch on with exquisite red and white wine. Must visit this vineyard and winery when in Temecula!

Harold B.

Yelp
O. M. G. Amazing wine. Amazing service from Les. We sat outside, the upper patio is 100% in the shade with gorgeous views of the vineyard. Simply incredible. We joined the wine club so we can have their delicious wine in Texas. If you're in Temecula you HAVE to stop by this amazing winery!

Senja O.

Yelp
Really good reds!! Very thoughtful and attentive staff. And live music too!! What's not to love?!

Nick K.

Yelp
The BEST WINERY in Temecula. Period. Reds are simply perfect. The Chardonnay is the BEST I've ever had and I'm not a big white wine drinker. It's a Family there which is why we keep coming back! Brenda, Don and Michelle are a blessing to everyone! #OurWinery

A F.

Yelp
Absolutely love Lorenzi. We first visited back in 2013 when we moved to the area. Everyone is so friendly and nice. Very knowledgeable as well. All of their wines are delicious. My favorite wine was their Ranch Red. Hoping we can find something like it again since we've moved to Texas.

Heitor C.

Yelp
Love this place! Had an amazing time! The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was delicious!

Kari K.

Yelp
The best winery in temecula. We've been members for years and there isn't a bad wine. The variety and quality of wines is like no other winery in the Temecula valley. The staff and Don and Brenda are also all amazing

Mo A.

Yelp
Lorenzi was a fabulous experience. I came here with my girlfriend through a tripadvisor group bus and we were promptly seating by the great staff. Our server was Monica and she did an amazing job explaining the wines throughout our tasting. Some highlights from our time were the 50% off wine in our tasting menu (5 wines), tasting some of the vineyard grapes off the vine, and meeting the owner, Don Lorenzi. Don made my girlfriend and I feel welcomed and even took the time to answer some of my dorky questions, which I appreciated! Would highly recommend you stop here on your trip to Temecula since the wines are great, the staff is inviting, and the seating area is beautifully kept.

Jesse J.

Yelp
On the fence with them. We go around Temecula looking for new finds once a year or so and came across Lorenzi. Small, slightly pretentious with supposed "reservation only" seating (we just showed up and behold, an opening). Wines were pretty good but Zin wasn't - to us anyway - a "non-jammy" zin they said, and they were correct. Non-Jammy - on purpose? Anyway, great ambiance, small, clean, GREAT service. We were this close to joining, but their whole fixation with points was very off-putting. Like you're telling us we're stupid if we think a 90+ point wine is "meh." Their marketing spiel is all about points for this and points for that. Turns out the mid-90 points for some of their wines seems to have been bestowed upon it by some guy named Patrick Barlett. Quick look online and he's a marketer for Lorenzi and other wineries as his clients according to his own Mood Wine mag. Assume Wine Enthusiast and Spectator are legit, but it would be nice if they toned down all the point noise and let the wine speak for itself. Most of it was really good, but not worth the prices that are even more than the average Temecula overpricing ridiculousness - no doubt due to the 90+ points!!!

Airi G.

Yelp
Tucked away and located far from the main road, Lorenzi is a smaller winery that's peaceful and almost private. We went here using the Sip and Savor pass which was slightly different compared to what other wineries offered. Instead of choosing wines from a large selection, they had a designated wine tasting flight with 5 one oz glasses (as opposed to 6 at other wineries). It wasn't my favorite but still a great place to stop by if you like what's on the menu. The worker was also very kind and attentive during our visit.

Maureen H.

Yelp
Great food and great ambiance- do g friendly, not to mention the wine is excellent. Wonderful drive from Palm Springs!

Danny O.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite wineries in Temecula and hands down a must visit location. In my opinion probably the best wines out there. Obviously, I became a member after my first visit and now have been there several times. Beautiful scenery, vibe, and amazing service.

Sara S.

Yelp
The wines here are excellent! As a wine club member, I have had great wine here, but service has been a hit or miss. Sometimes they treat you like VIPs, but I have noticed if you are not a wine club member you recieve better service. It really depends on who is serving you. As a wine club member, I have waited an extended amount of time to recieve the wine I already purchased! I love Lorenzi wines, but their service could be more consistent. Those who are wine club members should receive the same level of surface as those who are not wine clubs.

Lori S.

Yelp
We just visited & were met with rude comments, by the server. She commented that my husband didn't wait to be seated, he didn't see the sign & there were only 2 groups on the patio. Then when she saw we had SIP Passport tickets, she retorted, " Oh you have those, you can only get this tasting menu". It only offered 3 tastes, verses 5 on the others. At this point we left, we have been visiting Temecula for 25+ years & have never been treated so rudely.

Ken L.

Yelp
Let's start with the positive first. Their wines are terrific. They produce some of the best full-bodied dry reds in TV. We have been coming here for years because of the reds. But this will be our last visit. Why? Because they only allow outdoor seating. They closed their beautiful indoor tasting room because of COVID. While that was understandable for a while, it's 2023 Lorenzi. There is no reason to not offer that to their guests. What's worse is they don't even care enough to fill their propane heaters. Ours ran out of propane after 10 minutes and the staff couldn't be bothered to get another tank for us. Just shrugged his shoulders and said he it was out. Yeah, we figured that out. On top of that they won't allow outside snacks to be brought. Understandable as they offer a charcuterie container. But that's all they offer (two sizes). And it's a total joke. Brought out in a plastic clamshell container. Looked like they picked it up at stater brothers (and that might have been nicer). They wanted $25 for it, wasn't worth it. Lorenzi:. Open up your tasting room and either serve better food or allow guests to bring their own food.

Tony H.

Yelp
I just went to a pairing of wine and food at Bluewater Grill. The food and service was great. Lorenzi Winery did the wine pairing. First the pairing with the salad was a dry Malbec Rose. Quite a pour pairing for such a dry wine. Shouldgavebeen a sparkling wine. Second was the appetizer, it was paired with a oaky Chardonnay. Probably should have been a Pinot Grigio. The main meal was a luscious pan fried Halibut, paired with Zinfandel or Syrah. Both over powered the Halibut. The Chardonnay would have been the perfect choice. The desert was a tasty chocolate cheesecake paired with a dry Cabernet Sauvignon. Such a bad choice. A late harvest wine would go great with this desert. Overall experience was food 5.0, wine 1.0. Lorenzi winery may have good wine but they don't know how to pair it with food.

Susan C.

Yelp
Our visit to Lorenzi Estate was very relaxing & the Winemaker's Select flight was delicious! The four of us shared a charcuterie board & was plenty of very fresh, tasty food for all of us. The setting outside among the vines and in the hills was very beautiful.

Kala K.

Yelp
Our favorite Temecula winery! Amazing wine, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and beautiful views. A must visit.

Pamela B.

Yelp
I would rather you go up on the price than cut back the portions. These tiny azzzz strips makes no since. I understand things are more expensive, but bump up the price, not cut the portion. Never coming back.

Leah J.

Yelp
Alejandro is the best server ever! He deserves a raise! His knowledge of wine far exceeds his years. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time. Thank you, Alejandro and Lorenzi!

S Q.

Yelp
When you go to a winery in August you expect it to be hot. When you go during a pandemic you expect to sit out side. Here's a life pro tip for dealing with heat, get a spray bottle and mist yourself and those in your party. If you are a little damp and evaporating you are cool. Patios face east so not too bad later. Now to the wine. It great easily one of the best in the valley. The Brush Stroke Rose is amazing very easy to drink and full bodied. The Foreplay is very smooth and the French Twist is delicious. Taste is also subjective but the service is incredible. Bring a snack and give it a try!

Jennifer C.

Yelp
I loved the ambiance of this winery and our server was so nice but the wine was mediocre. We came on a Fri at 1:30 and was surprised to find that it was almost empty. We got to sit in the back covered patio which was nice for a warmer day. I did the tasting they had that day and it was all reds which I was really excited for. Unfortunately the first couple reds tasted very light and a little too acidic for my taste. The other ones were better but were a little dry and not that interesting. I noticed that a lot of the wines were blends of three or more grapes. I think I'd prefer getting to try single grape varietals. The blends didn't do it for me.

Patrice D.

Yelp
Wines were very good and the view off the patio was amazing. We had a blast watching the hummingbirds. Favorite red was a blend. Alejandro was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations for other wineries since we are new to the area. Highly recommend

Krist S.

Yelp
This is a beautiful and quaint vineyard and those whom work here are beyond kind and knowledgable. This is a gem and my favorite in Temecula. It was the favorite of two friends and my fiancé. The wine is amazing. Seriously. I wish I lived closer.

Julie S.

Yelp
The best wine in Temecula Wine Country ! I love going there and relaxing, it's so fun and a beautiful property !!

Gloria P.

Yelp
Loved the wines, the service, and the environment. Lovely views and excellent wine. Highly recommend!

Re M.

Yelp
If you like quality red wine, this winery is a must. It's smaller, but very nice and without all the crowds for a very pleasant tasting experience. Cheers

Charles Z.

Yelp
When you think of wine tasting in California, you think of Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles. But if you are in Southern California and need high quality wine, you need to come to Lorenzi. I rented an airbnb for a 2 night getaway with my fiance and friends to explore wineries in the Temecula area. We knew that we wanted to try lots of different places, but had heard about the Reds at Lorenzi. It was immediately circled on the map for a must stop. Not only that, we wanted to go there first, promising our taste buds a clean slate before any other grape would be consumed. What I discovered when I got there was wine that is a must have at your dinner table to impress anyone who loves vino. It was so good. The quality was unbelievable. I prefer bold reds, and quite frankly you can skip dinner and just drink the bottle, it's that good and smooth. Plus the tasting room was an amazing experience, the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in deciding what to try. Since visiting I have purchased several bottles, and always look forward to treating friends and family that come over with a glass. I can't wait to uncork the next one!

Elena F.

Yelp
The wines are some of the best I've tasted in Temecula and our server Alejandro made the experience special by sharing stories about the wines that were insightful and meaningful. What was extra special is that he made sure we tried the wines that were different from the ones I already bought earlier.

Z H.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the wine is as amazing as the customer service is poor. Member for 4 years....our favorite Temecula Valley wine, but our least favorite spot to visit.
