The 17 Best Restaurants In Coconut Grove - Miami - The Infatuation

"This great Argentinian restaurant is small—with the exception of its portions. And if you're really hungry, you're coming here for one of the parrilla options with your choice of meat(s) and fries or a salad. The dining room looks like a Buenos Aires bistro—but the best seats are outside on a tiny deck elevated about a foot off the ground. Sit there and you might feel like royalty as you watch everyone else eat at normal height. They also have the earliest weekday Happy Hour in the Grove, which goes from 3pm-6pm." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

Loretta & The Butcher - Review - Coconut Grove - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Argentinian restaurant is small—with the exception of its portions. The meat parrillada comes with two tender skirt steaks, two perfectly grilled short ribs, two chorrizos, two morcillas, two juicy chicken thighs, and could easily feed four. The creamy asparagus and mushroom risotto entree can be shared between two. And the apple pie—which is more like a delicious pastry covered in sweet caramelized apples—is the size of an entire dinner plate. The dining room looks like a Buenos Aires bistro—but the best seats here are outside on a tiny deck elevated about a foot off the ground. Sit there and you might feel like royalty as you watch everyone else eat at normal height. They also have the earliest weekday happy hour in the Grove, which goes from 3pm-6pm. So next time you’re in the mood to eat really great meat with a few friends, go to Loretta & the Butcher, sit on their outdoor deck, and practice your queen’s wave on passersby." - Virginia Otazo

Google
Fantastic Experience at Loretta and the Butcher What a great find in the Grove! The food was absolutely delicious—from the refreshing and flavorful sangria to the baked provolone, which was pure cheesy perfection. But the real star of the night was the steak, tender, juicy and cooked just right. A special shoutout to Sofia for her outstanding service and attention to detail; she made our evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

We had an incredible brunch experience at this Argentinian gem! We ordered the steak and eggs and chicken and waffles, and both dishes blew us away. The steak was perfectly tender, bursting with flavor, and paired beautifully with their house-made chimichurri sauce (médium-rare). The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to perfection and served over a bed of crispy roasted potatoes—absolutely divine. The chicken and waffles were a standout too—crispy, cheesy, and topped with bits of bacon for that extra indulgence. It even came with a side of fries, which was a fun surprise. While we waited, we were served fresh French bread with a creamy chive and cheese spread—a lovely touch that made us feel welcomed right from the start. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our server was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. From start to finish, the food and experience were top-notch. We can’t wait to come back!

Google
Such a hidden gem, a must try, all the food was so delicious, huge portions, great value overall. Can't go wrong with with deserts, mains and drinks all amazing. Their menu is huge too, pastas, burgers, salads, milaneses, steaks, so much variety to try. Gabby and laura were also so sweet, the whole night, very attentive and lovely. The decor is super cute tooo, very intimate and a nice patio. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

We recently visited this restaurant on the day of my son’s Graduation. We had such an amazing experience with the service and meals. If you are considering it don’t over think it just go you will not regret it.

Three of us went for dinner at Loretta’s. Though the outdoor seating was tempting, it was a little humid so we sat inside. The service was excellent: from the greeting to be seated to the wonderful Carlos who served our table. The food was very good. My cannelloni stuffed with spinach was a reminder of good home cooking. One of my friends ordered pasta with a side of steak for protein. The steak came cut up and smelled so good, everyone wanted to try it. I’ve walked past this place many times over past 3 years. Really glad we went in this time and tried it out.

Amazing! It’s one of my favorite restaurants to enjoy a really well cooked meat. Even though a bit small, it’s perfect to enjoy a date night.

I had an incredible dining experience at Loretta & The Butcher in Coconut Grove! The Skirt Steak Parmigiana was absolutely the best—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The milanesa was crispy and delicious, and the Argentinian desserts were the perfect way to end the meal. A special shoutout to Laura, who provided outstanding service, making sure everything was just right. The ambiance is cozy and authentic, making it a must-visit spot for anyone craving high-quality Argentinian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Google
Ordered the Mollejas, and a spinach empanada! Oh boy they were awesome and the empanada was so good I’m coming back to order these to go later ! Enjoyed the ribeye steak and salad! It was delicately delicious!

Yelp
Tried Loretta's Burger The presentation was excellent, with a nicely grilled bun that had perfect char marks. The burger itself was cooked perfectly and had a thick patty that really dominated the overall flavor. Also highly recommend the side salad--it was amazing The service was great, and the restaurant's atmosphere was distraction-free, allowing for some good conversation with my girlfriend instead of being on our phones

Yelp
Loved my experience here. Started with warm bread and a phenomenal blue cheese spread- so delicious. Still dreaming about it. The provoleta with chorizo wasn't my favorite but it was fine. Our table each ordered a different milanesa- four cheese, mushroom, burrata tomato sauce, and prosciutto arugula. A classic Milanesa is my favorite so the prosciutto Arbulus was nearest to that and thus, my preference. I could have done without the four cheese milanesa - the blue cheese flavor is too strong for the milanesa in my opinion. The mushroom one was different, unique, and cheesy! I liked it. The burrata one was delicious! Definitely recommend. Service was slow. I ran out of water several times, and the food took a long time. Our server had a great attitude though and was very honest and knowledgeable about the menu. They also let us stay at our table a while after without rushing us out, and that was nice of them. I would go back, but I'm in no rush.

Yelp
Centrally located in Coconut Grove, the service was spectacular, the food fresh with a nice ambiance. Our party of four asked for brunch with outside seating, and we were accommodated immediately. We brought our two small pups and they were taken care of by our server with water bowls without our asking which was nice. The only disappointment was the steak too tough. All the other entrees were perfect and so was our mimosas :)

Yelp
Sunday brunch was excellent. We got the brunch parrillada and it was plenty of food to share. The tortilla was incredible as well filled with ham. The French toast was to die for as it was stuffed with Nutella. Sangria was great and the server kept on pouring it. Service was attentive. The location indoors is small but cozy and intimate.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a weekday. It was a nice day out so we sat outside. Our server, Fabian, did a great job. He was attentive and friendly and provided good recommendations. The food was good and the portions were massive. Here's what we tried - Polpetta - Giant meatball appetizer with melted cheese at the center. This was very flavorful. We really enjoyed it but could only eat a few bites between the two of us. It made an excellent late night snack for later. 4/5 ($25) Loretta's Burger - Prime beef, provolone cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, garlic aioli spread, brioche bun. A decent burger. Very nice size. Flavor was okay, it didn't wow me, The leftovers tasted a bit better. 3.5/5 ($23) My gf had ossobuco which was gigantic and pretty tasty. We also had coffees which were good. Overall, this was a nice spot with good quality protein and very generous portions. I would definitely come back to explore more of their menu.

Yelp
Away from the madness of Coconut Grove on a Sunday afternoon, this place provides top service and good selections for brunch. We were hungry and a bit in a hurry, thankfully we were able to be seated immediately. Opted to share their chicken and waffles (added a side of fried eggs), we asked for the syrup on the side since it can be overpowering sometimes. Thankfully, the portion was enough to share and the chicken was seasoned very well. Not too heavy on the batter and flavorful, almost didn't even need the syrup! Left pleasantly surprised, will return when next in the area.

Yelp
Service : 4/5 Food : 3/5 Ambiance 5/5 We went for a Sunday lunch date and the food was just okay. I would recommend trying it again as we had a variety of appetizers and ended up going somewhere else for lunch. Both my partner and I felt that the food could have used more seasoning

Yelp
The perfect meat lovers spot, such a great intimate space for a date night or with a group of friends. Lovely family style decor with beautiful photos on the wall. Lovely staff and great service. The meat was cooked to perfection and truly enjoyed the blood sausage.

Yelp
Overall a disappointment with extremely over salted dishes and so-so flavor. Food: Total disappointment. We had a variety of appetizers, and they were all mediocre and over salted. For example, the calamari tasted a bit off and was very salty. The cauliflower was hyper salted. For the main dish, I had a milanesa, a fried cutlet like a schnitzel. It was barely edible, flavorless, and overly salted. Service: Good service, a little slow at times but nice staff Overall cleanliness: above average Misc: check in on Yelp for a free glass of wine, and the free wine was good!

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of Coconut Grove, Loretta & the Butcher is a charming Argentinian restaurant that promises a memorable dining experience. While it didn't quite reach the pinnacle of 5 stars, it certainly deserves a solid 4 for its delicious cuisine, warm ambiance, and attentive service. **Food:** The star of the show at Loretta & the Butcher is undoubtedly the meat. The Parrillada, a mixed grill platter, is a carnivore's dream, boasting a succulent selection of perfectly cooked cuts. The Bife de Chorizo, a juicy, flavorful ribeye, is another must-try. For those seeking lighter fare, the grilled octopus is tender and perfectly seasoned, while the Risotto Portobello and Asparagus offers a flavorful vegetarian option. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing family-style. **Ambiance:** The restaurant exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with rustic wood accents, warm lighting, and intimate seating arrangements. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner or a casual gathering with friends. However, the noise level can get a bit high during peak hours, making conversation a bit challenging. **Service:** The staff at Loretta & the Butcher are friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They are happy to provide recommendations and ensure a seamless dining experience. However, during our visit, the service was a tad slow, especially when the restaurant started filling up. **Overall:** Loretta & the Butcher is a gem in Coconut Grove, offering a delicious taste of Argentina. While the noise level and slightly slow service detract from a perfect score, the exceptional food and warm ambiance make it a worthy destination for a memorable meal. If you're a meat lover or simply seeking an authentic Argentinian experience, Loretta & the Butcher is a must-try.

Yelp
Ending up dining at Loretta & Butcher by chance after not wanting to wait an hour at another restaurant in the area. We were sat down immediately on a Friday night at 7 pm. The service was fantastic, our orders were taken & the food was out to us very quickly. We started with the Burrata & Chorizo y Morcilla (Blood Sausage), I loved the burrata, it came with delicious high quality prosciutto & juicy tomatoes. You could tell the pesto was fresh and made in house. My boyfriend enjoyed the Chorizo & Morcilla but not as much as the burrata. We ordered the Loretta Burger & risotto with steak to share. The burger was to die for, it was juicy & had so many different flavors from the onions, bacon and cheese. We absolutely loved the burger and were fighting over who got to finish it. The risotto was creamy and the steak was so flavorful I will definitely be back to try a solo steak entree. We can't wait to visit this spot again to try more delicious dishes!

Yelp
What a delicious meal. I came for Sunday lunch with my mom and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is very cozy with frames all around the walls. Our server was very attentive and everything came out hot. While everything was yummy, I *have* to recommend the steak tartare. It comes on a bone marrow that is to die for. Save some of the bread you get when you sit down for this treat. It's worth it - I promise.

Yelp
Wanted to love Loretta & The Butcher but it wasn't all that special, unfortunately. We were excited to try the lunch special after seeing it online for $17. Were a bit disappointed when we arrived to see it was actually $19. Not a huge difference in price but still. The service was very good and the interior ambiance was cute, felt euro. The side salad was delicious. But my Milanesa(la toscana) was just okay. The steak was very thin, which is how it's supposed to be, but I felt it was too thin. You couldn't even really tell if there was any steak at all! I brought my husband home a milanesa la Toscana as well and he didn't care for it. My mom and I split the bill, each of us paying for two Milanesas and half of my sister's aperol spritz and it came out to over $55 after tax and tip. Yikes.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and left sooo happy ! Great atmosphere in this beautiful area and the service was great. Ordered a pitcher of sangria that had fruits in the wine glass; the bread with a version of spread complemented it well, the calamari was divine and the French toast was unbelievably delicious. I was so satisfied by everything and our servers made it even better. I would definitely return !

Yelp
I went out looking for a good & new place to eat in the Grove. It was my friend's birthday and it was a beautiful day and sunset. I found Loretta the butcher, Argentinian.... It was small , cute and quaint. The service was exceptional and so were the four appetizers and wine selection. Malbec of course. The evening was nice and breezy. We sat outside. Then we ordered desert and coffee. They were nice enough to give us the desert on the house. We had crepes and tiramisu, it was an excellent dining experience. A must try , hope it's just as good for you!

Yelp
We traveled down to Coconut Grove with our special friends from Boston and his lovely wife from Chili to explore the area. His wife immediately spotted the wonderful atmosphere and outside tables to enjoy some empanadas and Cuban coffee. Laura our amazing waitress was super friendly, outstanding service and attentive. Made the whole experience special. The empanadas were super crispy, fresh and delicious... can't wait to come back!!!!

Yelp
Gotta give this place a five star. We met the owner of Johnny Papagallo at a Yelp event and he suggested we try out Lolita the butcher and we were not disappointed! First, the space itself is very nice. In the heart of coconut grove with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I do suggest you make reservations as this is a popular spot that fills up quickly. The service was fantastic as well. Most restaurants have one server handling your table but here you could tell it was a team effort by the entire staff to take care of their guests. We saw multiple times where other wait staff would assist guests when needed which was great. Last but not least was the food. I added pictures of my steak and fries but we loved The provoleta with chorizo. This should be one of your first options as an appetizer. The ojo de bife was cooked perfectly and was a good size for the price. I got the fries with garlic and Parmesan as well which was delicious. Overall, Lolita is a great place if you want to enjoy a nice Steak with great service. I will 100% come back here again. And check out there happy hour specials because they are great!

Yelp
We came here the night before we set sailed for our cruise. We had a party of 10 and they were able to accommodate us (same day) around on a Thursday around 8:30pm. The space is a little small but the quality of the service is great! They were so nice, helpful and patience. Everything on the menu was yummy and their sangria was delicious. If you're in the Miami area I would definitely recommend making a stop here.

Yelp
This is the cutest little spot in Coral Gables! I was recommended this restaurant by a friend of mine so I went to check it out - the service was okay since the waitress just assumed we had been there before from the way she would answer our questions / we kept having to ask for things for the table but other than that it was fine! The food was 8/10! The roaster cauliflower was amazing!!! (Probably my favorite) Truffle french fries - YUMMM The parilla was good too! Overall, I felt like it was a bit overpriced for what we had but still was a great time. I would recommend to sit outside next time :)

Yelp
I just got a delivery from here and, I have to say, I've always loved this place but I don't think I can do this again. First, the empanadas have a spinach option on grubhub but this is the second time I've gotten choclo instead. Maybe update the Grubhub menu instead of delivering food your customer didn't order. I ordered the meat well done because I'm pregnant but got rare. And finally, the salad I received was already drenched in dressing. Literally just gobs of mayonnaise. It's inedible. $50 down the drain. I called to relay this review over the phone privately instead of posting it publicly but no one answers the phone number listed for them.

Yelp
Great steak and cute atmosphere! Cooked veggies were meh - but I guess that was a bad order on our part :)

Yelp
We were staying in the Bricknell area and this is in the Coconut Grove area. This place is not worth an Uber ride, but if you live in the area or have a car, I would still recommend not eat here. I do appreciate that they work with Yelp and we were able to redeem a free glass of wine on Thursday, we came on Thursday. We arrived with a large group and they accommodated us no problem. It is a cute place and staff are friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating and it is very inviting but the food is lacking and some items way too salty. Food: we ordered appetizers to share for the table. We got the calamari, roasted cauliflower, and prosciutto plate. The plating is beautiful! I took one bite of the calamari and oh my goodness, way too salty. I took one piece and was done. The roasted cauliflower gorgeous and I tried the dipping sauce alone, delicious with a complex flavor. But the cauliflower was way too salty. I took one bite and done. Then you get prosciutto which is salty naturally but the salt from the calamari and cauliflower ruined the prosciutto for me. I asked the young girl, if I should order Arroz del gaucho or the Milanesa Portena. She said the Milanesa are Argentina dishes and the speciality of the house. So I went with the Milanesa Portena in beef. The portion size is very generous and can easily be shared. It is beautiful and the Milanesa was topped with prosciutto and fresh tomato. The prosciutto is delicious, the tomato was very fresh and flavorful, and juicy. Now the Milanesa was bland with no flavor lacking salt which is shocking because everything else is way overly salted. I ordered the beef Milanesa but you could not see or taste the beef, yes it is supposed to be thin, but all I could taste was the breading, prosciutto and tomato. I removed the prosciutto and tomato and still could not taste the beef. Very disappointing. The side salad that is included was very fresh and lightly dressed to cut through the deep fried Milanesa. Service: good. They do leave water at your table so you can help yourself which is nice. Very friendly employees, helpful since the bathroom can be hard to find, they anticipated and offered assistance. Restaurant cleanliness: above average Bathroom cleanliness: average but the floors into the bathroom were so slippery from the soap that is caked on the floors, be careful, I did slip, but did not fall.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my birthday dinner and it was a wonderful experience. The server we had was on point and she was training someone and let us know right off the bat. We first got some dinner rolls and the sauce it came with was so good!!! I don't know what it was, it was definitely cheesy and creamy and I loved it! For appetizers we ordered the Shitake Alla Carbonara and the Provoleta with added prosciutto. Both were amazing. The Provoleta was nice pull apart cheese and the prosciutto was a great addition to add the salty to the creaminess of it. The mushrooms tasted just like if you were eating a carbonara pasta but with mushrooms! As my entree I ordered the Loretta's burger. I was really excited to try it, unfortunately it was undercooked. I didn't take it back but I was disappointed since I ordered it medium well it was medium rare. I was going to give the restaurant 4 stars instead of 5 for it but I'm sure If I would have told them about it, they would have taken care of it right away so that's on me not them. Overall this place is cute and intimate and I really would love to come back and support them again soon. For dessert we ordered the panna cotta and it was delicious and they sang me happy birthday as well! Overall it was such a pleasant experience I had a great birthday here.

Yelp
Discovered Loretta & The Butcher from a few coworkers that come here regularly. This is probably the best lunch special in the grove. I ordered the milanesa napolitana and it was the best. I've never had milanesa before and I'm glad this was my first time. I ordered mine with fries on the side and I almost ate them all because they were so good. The portion is pretty large, think it would be perfect to share with someone to try other things on the menu. I look forward to visiting again and trying something different!

Yelp
We visited this restaurant for an early Sunday dinner. The place is a small with both indoor and outdoor tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Since it was early there were plenty of tables available. Our server was very nice and very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. We decided to select the following. -Beef Empanadas -Spinach Empanadas -Classic Salad with Steak -Steak Milanesa Napolitana -Greek Salad with Chicken -Steak Sandwich The food overall was poor and left us with an upset stomach the rest of the evening. The empanadas started good but all of the entrees were poor quality ingredients. Taste was very salty and the protein portions and quality were not in line with the price. I wish I would have taken pictures as what we were served looked nothing like the photos posted by the owner. Overall the ambiance and service was good but the food was terrible. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Yelp
This restaurant offers a laid-back ambiance, perfect for enjoying outdoor dining. The steak was cooked to perfection, complemented by an impressive array of wine pairings. The service was top-notch, making for an exceptional dining experience.

Yelp
Kitchen is dirty. Don't know how board of health does not take a look. It's really gross

Yelp
My second visit. On a quiet Sunday afternoon, the dining room was empty except for us and another small party. We had a burger, a steak sandwich and a Milanesa. The burger was over cooked, the milanesa was not hot, and the steak sandwich was good. The bill was over $100 with no drinks. It is not a 4+ star restaurant. The service was good not great.
google avatar

Hugo M.

Yelp
Restaurant is a small, nice, cozy and comfortable locale. We tried the Loretta burger with french fries. Both burger and fries were very tasteful and well presented. I will definitely have it again. We also ordered a beef milanesa with mashed potatoes. Milanese was overcooked and a little hard, flavor was only mediocre, same with mash potatoes. Potatoes tasted and looked like a poorly cooked baked potato chopped up and served mashed style. Bread service was excellent, especially the blue cheese butter that comes with it. Service was acceptable, but I would have liked a good quality check before serving the Milanese to our table.

Yelp
Glad i was able to make it out to Coconut Grove. It was so nice to sit outside during this beautiful weather. The service was outstanding - I highly recommend you request Jazmine as your waitress. Food was amazing . Fresh, hot and delicious. I will definitely be returning to try out there Brunch burger which looked amazing.

Yelp
Great service and good food. We sat outside and had Qilmes Argentinian beer which I love. The Loretta burger was good, but not extraordinary.

Yelp
A must go to! Definitely a hidden gem that was outstanding from start to finish! The food was outstanding but the pulp was ABSOLUTELY PERFECTION. A must have.

Yelp

Yelp
I was super excited to try this spot, but it turned into disappointment shortly after getting the food. Ended up ordering the Loretta's Burger and Mini Parrillada. They gave complimentary bread, so that was nice. The Loretta's Burger comes with prime beef, provolone cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and garlic aioli spread on a brioche bun. The burger was decent, but nothing special. I was most excited to try the Mini Parrillada and that turned out to be the biggest letdown. It had no flavor at all and I honestly felt like vomiting after trying some of the things on the plate. The complimentary bread was good! It was great to munch on while waiting for the entrées.
google avatar

Felipe P.

Yelp
I hate the every time I come home from College I see this place not packed. It deserves to have a waitlist, whenever I can I order or come get an empanada. THERE MILANESA is so crunchy and yummy. You can tell your about to have good food before you eat because of the awesome bread before hand too.

Yelp
Best French toast my kids ever had! Unreal breakfast burger. Great atmosphere. Nice staff

Yelp
I was really excited to try Loretta & The Butcher with my friends for a girls brunch. The Provoletta was a good appetizer although it arrived with the main dishes. I ordered a chorizo sandwich and a prosciutto sandwich. Both were really tasty and fresh! My friends loved their Milanese plates. Overall, the food was delicious and was very filling! The service was a bit slow and we struggled to find our waiter most of the time there. In addition, once we left we checked the receipt and realized they charged us incorrectly for 2 plates we ordered as they were on the brunch menu but were charged as regular price (our fault for not checking earlier). They also did not have any brunch drinks other than beer/wine which is fine but just a heads up.

Yelp
You know those places you always walk/drive past and say, "oh look, next time we need to try this place!" Yep, that was Loretta for me and my group of friends who's "next time" finally happened this past Friday night. I had high expectations considering the favorable reviews and how busy the place is usually. Although I really wanted to love it, there were too many things that missed the mark for me unfortunately. The staff was very pleasant but our waitress seemed very lost and confused by anything we asked for. The bussers would pass by us by with empty water glasses and dirty plates all over the table. It gave the impression that the main focus was on larger parties (as there were 3-4) than the smaller tables. It was 3 of us and the table was only partially set with 2 plates, no silverware, and 4 glasses? My friend had to physically get up to get silverware from an up empty table nearby. Also realized other tables around us were served complimentary bread which we never received either. The food took very long to arrive and I usually wouldn't mind if we were told ahead of time that the kitchen was backed up or that everything is made from scratch so it would be a while. The grilled octopus we ordered as an app took about 30 min to reach us and by the time it did it was already pretty cold. The entrees took another 45 min after that, with some dishes warmer than others. I ordered a steak milanesa with papas a la provenzal (garlic, parsley and parmesan cheese)... the fries were divine, the steak was above average. Tried my friends plates but wasn't impressed by much. Not sure if this was just an off night and the amount of large parties put a kink in their groove but don't think I'd be giving them another shot anytime soon.

Yelp
I love everything about Loretta and the Butcher. It is an absolute treasure in the heart of Coconut Grove. Cozy and unassuming, it's familial vibes all around as soon as you walk in. Because the place is small, I recc making a reservation to ensure you don't have to wait. I have been here quite a few times and everything I have had is absolute fire. the meats are cooked to perfection. The fries are crispy and delightful. Even the fish is flaky and sauced just right. The planchas are always a solid choice if you are looking for variety. They can be shared with up to 4 with some sides, or if you're hungry like my Dad, consume all the meats yourself :D The vino selection here is also incredible. With options for every price point, feel free to ask your server on any reccs based off of what you're feeling. Whether it's a casual dinner or a special occasion, Loretta and the Butcher does not dissapoint!

Yelp
I can't say this place truly impressed me. It was just ok. The cauliflower was a tad bland and we had to ask for salt to liven it up a bit. I think if it was actually served cut up instead of a huge slab, the flavoring from roasting would get through the entire thing. The pulpo (octopus) was actually good. It had a nice vinegrette dressing on it and the octopus tasted fresh. The linguine was just ok. Again, felt it was a bit bland. It looked gorgeous though. I don't know if I would stop by here again. If my friends absolutely wanted to go, then sure, I'd go, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make a special trip here.

Yelp
Stopped by walking through the Coco Walk area, and it was a welcome surprise. My husband and I really enjoyed our food and experience here. The vibe is a little more upscale but still felt casual and welcoming. I ordered the Milanese de carne, which comes with fries already. So yummy, perfectly crispy - both the fries and meat. My husband ordered the lamb chops, which was also really good. They also offer an extensive wine and beer menu. No cocktails unfortunately! We would definitely come back and recommend to others

Yelp
The place is so charming and cozy and warm. The staff is wonderful and the food was great. It feels like you're in a cafe in Buenos Aires. We had a variety of things including appetizers, entrees and desserts and everything was wonderful. One of my friends is a Vegan and she picked Loretta because they even have items she could eat. Looking forward to eating there again and turning others on to Loretta and the Butcher.

Yelp
Came here for a Yelp event a few months ago and knew I would be back. The food and service were both great and just how it was back then. As soon as we approached the door we were greeted and sat at a location of our choosing. We started with the calamari and empanadas: spinach and cream and beef. Those were the two that were recommended and they were really good. After that we had the meat parrillada and let me tel you everything on there was delicious. Highly recommended and able to feed at least 3 people maybe 4.

Yelp
So I love them!. Period. They're a great bunch with impeccable manners and very on their game! Keep it up Loretta, we know the butchers back there doing his work as well because it's always good here! Not much to say about the food but that the kitchen has got their game down packed. I will recommend this cute gem in the grove to everyone around! Come and see what I mean

Yelp

Yelp
The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is very pretty and gives that old European vibe with modern esthetic. The service was great our server was very attentive explained the different plates and made some great recommendations. Starters: Let's start with my favorite, The Mushroom carbonara- WOW in my mouth. If your a mushroom gal like me you have to try this. Mushrooms mixed with bacon bits and delicious mouth watering cheese sauce. Pulpo Grillado- Grilled Octopus was very fresh and texture was on point, But I would of liked less char and more seasoning. It needed a little salt. The plate Came with a red chili sauce (not spicy) on the side to dip. The potato chips where seasoned just right and had the perfect crunch. Burrata E Prosciutto- This combination is always delicious. The prosciutto was fresh and sliced thin. I felt like the plate needed bread or something to accompany it with. Entre: Arroz Del Gaucho: The plate was very well presented and portion was large enough to feed 2 people or one very hungry person. Let's start with the skirt steak. It was lightly seasoned due to the facts the rice already brought in all the flavors so the steak was made perfectly for this plate. The steak was soft and cooked Medium as requested. I will be coming back!!

Yelp
We decided to try Loretta & the butcher for a Thursday lunch after seeing there was an inKind offer for 20% off when you pay in advance. We were greeted and sat by Martin who was pleasant and friendly. We were offered complimentary bread service (yay!). Which came with a blue cheese butter/Mayo type of spread. We ordered a sausage appetizer (comes with 2 sausages) - although good quality meat (as expected at an Argentine restaurant), they did lack some flavor- 2 Stellas (beer), and an entraña with fries ($17 on the lunch menu!) The food came out fairly quickly and was accompanied by spicy and chimichurri sauces at the table. The sauces were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. The fries did have an oily taste, but we weren't there for the fries! We were surprised at the size of the steak and thought it could not be beat anywhere else for the price. When the bill came, we noticed they charge the full dinner steak, not the lunch. When I mentioned it to the server, he said it was his mistake and would make the change. Important to note that the fries has been charged separately and should definitely be skipped at $8. Had we not ordered for lunch, it would have been over $80 for one person which is pretty pricey. They have several options that look great - example: many different milanesa options that I'm interested in trying - but I would definitely return for lunch/brunch because I think the food is a bit pricey compared to other restaurants of the same kind. Possibly because of the area. Overall the service was excellent and the place is cute for a date night or a lunch date. It's intimate and clean with good wine options. I will likely return for lunch.
