We happened upon this place during their soft opening and have been fans ever since. When the craving for wood fired, brick oven pizza hits, L'Ord Di Napoli is definitely high on my list.
Seems each time we default to a bottle of Catalana Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. Easy to drink, pairs well, affordable.
Restaurant Week 2024 brought me back this time. $35.
-Insalata Barbabietole (Wild arugula, lemon ricotta, caramelized hazlenuts, golden beets, red beet strawberry puree, olive oil, balsamic glaze.
-Lasagna (Layers of pasta sheets, 100% Angus beef bolognese ragu, bechamel, Parmigiano Reggiano, basil, EVOO
-Homemade Panna Cotta topped with fresh strawberry compote
Truth is, I was glad to try these dishes but my favorite is still the pizzas. Their margherita is perfectly cooked, just enough flavorful sauce, dough has the right chew, cheese compliments and basil decorates. I do like a little drizzle of the chili oil but it's not necessary!
Service has been consistently friendly and professional, and has evolved over time. No reservations. Wait times can be long but that's what's nice about the location and text notifications. You can wander and shop while you wait.
Tight little entrance, cute little patio, ample upstairs, and the bar always seems full of happy patrons. Plus sitting the near the heart, the oven, is fun!
