Where To Eat Near Mexico City’s Major Museums - Mexico City - The Infatuation

"Museo Anahuacalli is in a mostly residential area, but Los 3 Caballos, a traditional Mexican restaurant that’s been open since 1968, is just a five- to 10- minute drive away. Go with the sopesitos de escamoles, sweet and spicy enchiladas mole with chicken, or the cabrito regio—perfectly cooked goat served with guacamole, roasted tomato, and onion. The space is huge (and filled with a lot of equestrian memorabilia), service is no-frills but attentive, and there’s a mariachi band that takes requests table by table starting at 4pm." - guillaume guevara

This is a beautiful and traditional mexican restaurant. All dishes are worth trying but always take into account that they are quite big (so I would recommend always sharing). Also, this is a great option for when you go out for lunch with a large group of people (in this case, I would recommend booking beforehand). And if you are trying to look for a place to listen to MARIACHIS, this would also be the best place for as they are most of the time available, know a ton of songs and are always in a cheery mood.

Definitely a nice place but ti was a bit pricey for the quality of the food. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It had a great ambient with lice mariachis and a really cool hacienda style decor. I might try it again but would be a little hesitant only because of the prices

Great service and food! I was very pleased by the flavors, great salsas and perfectly cooked meat. The mariachi are very talented and we really enjoyed listening to them.

If you are looking for a real mexican country atmosphere, with live music, wide bar and the authentic mexican flavors, Come here. Big tables for family events and a nice playground for the little ones is at the back. They should extend their business hours. Affordable but not cheap.
