L'Os à Moelle

"Thierry Faucher is still in charge of L'Os à Moelle, where, in the early 2000s, he secured his position as one of the forerunners of France's bistronomy movement. Aubergine dip, soft-boiled egg and country ham; leg of lamb and vegetable fricassee; bone marrow; soup of the day… It's simple, delicious and indulgent fare." - Michelin Inspector

The food was fantastic and delicious. They brought us an « amuse bouche » to start with and it was mousse with merguez flavor. Strange for but was very good. Then I had a soup, grilled steak and chocolate mousse balls as dessert. No complaints and everything was perfect. I mistakenly ordered oysters for starter and did not know that they’d come raw. So asked to change it and the lady was so nice and change it for me. She got me a soup instead and was tasty. The atmosphere is cosy and warm. Although the restaurant was small but was lovely environment and you can understand from the crowd that it is a good place for food. I will definitely come back to this place if I am back to visit Paris. And special thanks to the lady working there. She was very friendly.

What a great place in terms of food taste and the service. The marrow bone is a killer especially when you add some fleur de sel salt to it as per the recommendation of our waitress. Expansive wine list and again with recommendations from the waitress. I would come back whenever I am in Paris.

We wanted to try typical French cuisine and we found this restaurant, we ordered their house specialty beef bone marrow which was delicious, I have to say that other dishes were also good but that one was the best. We also wanted to try a champagne and the waitress, who was very kind, recommended Drappier which was delicious and paired perfectly with the dishes we ate. For our next trip to Paris we will not miss this stop. Thank you

Google
Gorgeous little place with a wonderful wine selection from their sister cellar across the road. Staff is very personable. Restroom is very clean, as is the whole restaurant. As for the food, it left a bit to be desired in terms of seasoning but not enough to warrant losing a star. Convenient, quiet location. Would definitely visit again

Google
Fantastic place, tried it more than once. Great selection of wine. prefer to rate it 4.5 because one of the times the food served was not warm/hot enough I’d still come back

Ok. Dinner with soup, entree, plat. Leek soup was good, if oversalted. Normandy oysters were excellent. Had faux filet for the main and asked for saignant and got something that was barely still pink in the middle. Eh. Solid wine selection though.

We visited the bistro, the food was delicious, a lot of choice and freshly made! Waiters are really nice and they spoke English! We came a bit earlier, around 19 and they were still preparing the food so ideally after 19:30 it is a good time for a dinner.

Lovely little resturant at the corner of the street. Staffs are very friendly and sweet. The food is very delicious with reasonable pricing and portions. Would definitely visit again and recommend this lovely place to everyone who lives around this location.

Yelp
The original owner is back now. I had one of the better meals of my life. The cold cauliflower soup was beautiful in its nutty subtlety. The fried chorizo on top of fresh oysters was actually an amazingly perfect flavor combination. The Magret duck was perfectly prepared with a chestnut puree on the side. The desert, fresh fruit covered with a light custard and almonds and then _toasted_ under the broiler and served warm, almost slayed me. The only reason not to go, is because you are scared of having memories of previous meals outshined by this. ;) I miss Rene.

Yelp
5/12/2015 after a year away (home in California) back to L Os A Moelle for another spectacular dinner. One thing we love is the soup course with one hot & one cold. Your choice. This time a hot mushroom & a cold petit pois . Both great. Beef cheeks with finely chopped vegetables and a brandade with haddock both were outstanding. Did not have room for dessert.

Yelp
tasty bistro fare - if you come on a good day. don't think i'll make a trip to the hinterlands of the 15th for inconsistent food though i quite like the casual, inexpensive la cave across the street. oddly enough, food is prepared by the same chefs/kitchen. go figure. http://www.yelp.com/user_details_review_search?userid=-Uch0Ftb3uw09Vkm1PBeog&q=la+cave

Yelp
Had the bone marrow for starters and the pigeon for main meal. Both were excellent, highly recommended

Yelp
Just a few steps from the exit of the Metro at Lormel on Line 8 in the 15th Arrondissement is a gem of a restaurant serving top quality dishes at excellent value prices. The fixed menu evening meal we enjoyed was six courses and included expensive ingredients including scallops, lobster and foie gras at 38 euros per head. The restaurant is typically Parisienne with an interesting biker chef Thierry Faucher, who is one of a group of break away chefs who established restaurants in the suburbs of the city dedicated to excellent food at good value prices. Cosy, atmospheric, excellent food at good prices makes this a great place to book and visit in Paris. Open for lunch and dinner on Tuesday to Saturday. Success is seeing more restaurants open in the City under Faucher's management. I hope that standards can be maintained as this is a great place to eat.

Yelp
I want to fly there right now. So delicious! I've been there several times, on business and for vacation, and I must say they never ever disappoint. It is quite a hike to get there, but it's so well worth it. Their 3-course prix fixe menu will run the average American around $50+, but who cares??? Everything they make is incredible! I'm not gonna lie - their food is downright rich! But I love that. The menu changes daily, but they always include many appetizer options, especially a fabulously complex soup, several different options for mains from fish to game, and just a few simple but magnificent desserts. They have their menus written on a chalkboard in French, but if you are feeling French-challenged, on the flipside is the entire thing written in English! They must get many visitors, and understandably so - even though it's so far away from the center, people will still trek there for their cuisine. The place is always, packed. Now that's saying something!
