Los Angeles Union Station

Beautiful Historic Train Station in operation till now. Ones can see some specific European style arches and decorations inside the hall. A nice place for photography, which makes the passengers feel living in the last century. There are two different halls of east and west. While the west one is the original one and the east one is the modern one. However, one can buy train tickets only in West hall while LA Metro in East Hall. There is a long walking distance between the two halls. The staff are helpful anyway.

We went to LA Union Station to catch the Dodgers tram. Walking through the station was filled with amazing architecture. As you marvel at the beautiful workmanship, you wonder what it was like back in the day. Many eating and drinking establishments add to the experience. The only negative was the number of homeless individuals lounging around. Incident free, but always be aware.

April 2024 One of the most beautiful central station in USA. You can take light rail, subway, commuter rail and Amtrak from the station. Further, you can get the bus service from outside. Station is beautiful and still remind you past glory. There are many shops and restaurants inside so you can enjoy food.

Took the union station bus to the dodgers game. Not too hard. Followed the instructions, and the buses took us back. Same on our way back. Do not take an Uber. There are a lot of illegal drivers haggling with you for a ride. They wanted $150. That’s absurd. Just take the bus.

Beautiful and vintage railway station connecting all major routes to US . Amtrak , metro link , local metro lines etc . Very clean and have lot of vendors store . Beautiful outdoor sitting area.

Beautiful building in a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed our trip to the station, which is a combination of old Hollywood glamour and modern convenience. On our previous visit, we caught our northbound train and found everyone very helpful. For people who don’t normally travel by train, this experience was an excellent introduction.

We are connecting to another train. The place is huge and seems to be pretty well run. The seating area is gated off to permit ticket holders in, so it doesn't fill with homeless. Though the restrooms are not gated off and we're quite full of homeless. Starbucks, Wetzels, and Subway in the station as well as a small convenience mart are available.

I catch trains in and out of Union all the time. It’s no doubt a beautiful building architecturally. Getting in and out is fairly easy with the ride share area and metro options downstairs. I also really appreciate how clearly visible and intuitive train info is. Get to the tunnel, and look up. It’s pretty hard to mess it up from there. Took one star off because obviously it could be cleaner and have better management of the homeless population that takes over the bathrooms. But I mean, it’s a train station in Los Angeles… it’s inevitable.

You have definitely seen the Iconic Union Station either on TV or passing by if you're from LA. The architecture is always wonderful to look at. Has a back in the old days feel. They should never change it. It's like the heart of all buses connecting to downtown LA. From Amtrak to matrolink to regular MTA. It's always fast pase in there, everyone going somewhere. I stated a new job and now it's part of my daily routine to come here. They even have a restaurant and bar inside which looks popping! Starbucks and gift shop also. Awesome LA gem. Kept well maintained and plenty of security.

Union station an eclectic melting pot of Southern California travelers. The interesting sights and smells may tickle your nostrils to keep a mask handy. Long ramp ways may keep the speed walkers at bay with some slower walkers taking it one step at a time. Food! Yes there's a Starbucks and Wetzel's pretzels. ATM and restrooms, seating area and grand piano for all those musicians wanting to express some talent. LA souvenirs and small cocktail bar. The station has a grand lobby with beautiful architectural design. Separate space for hosting an event or party. I have taken the train a handful of times but have never thought of this as a venue space. Indeed a new perspective. Uber pick up/drop off is right at the front entrance on the north side next to the turn out by the benches. Scooter and bike rental available in parking lot. Olvera street is right across the way. Also within walking distance is the famous Philippe's, Chinatown and Howlin Rays!

Save yourself a headache and $$$ if you're going to a game at Dodger or BMO stadium. The Patsouras stop is where you'll go to take the shuttle to Dodger stadium. You can also get a Lyft pickup on the East side of the station. I had a Lyft for drop off and pickup during my LAFC game at BMO stadium since I was running late to the stadium. Customer service here is pretty awesome, and there's someone wearing a vest that you can turn to for any questions you have. The architecture here is pretty awesome, and it's a lovely way to head to the stadium with fellow fans. I've had enjoyable conversations non-baseball related heading back from a game which is just fun stuff all around. If you have any anxiety about public transit, I'd say specific to Dodger and LAFC games, you really don't have anything to worry about. There's strength in numbers when it comes to fan ridership even if you're a fan of the opposing team. Enjoy whatever game or show you go to! Cheers!

Architecture, location, history, event space, and unsolicited entertainment makes Union Station a prime transportation hub. By bus, ride share, train or cab, you can get to where you need to go from here. There are a few restaurant options, convenient stores, shops and cocktail bar.There are home insecure and transient present around the station but a huge presence of law enforcement around.

We love taking the train to Union Station. Beautiful architecture, wood trim, train station vibe, gardens. Great convenience if you're going to Dodger Stadium, they have a free Dodger Express shuttle that goes to and from the stadium. Tonight was "horrible"!!!! Our 10:10pm train was cancelled, there was No communication of this, marquee still had this train as active in track 14. We were there 30" prior to departure, luckily a conductor told us that the train was cancelled and they switched us to a bus. We went to get tix, luckily we got the last....the rest was SOL and sold out. Bus got us in at 1:30am, an hour late! Just really bad communication

Take the Dodger Express bus to the game! It was a little confusing on where to park but it was only $8 compared to $50-$60 for the stadium parking where they have CRAZY Traffic to get in and out of. It took about 20 mins to get on to the bus and drive to the stadium. On the way back we had to wait 30 minutes to get on the bus and 30 minutes on the actual bus but we skipped traffic and had no traffic on the way home so honestly a great experience!!

We came to pick up a family member and on our way to Dodger stadium. It's been a while since I was here and there's definitely been improvements. The station has some great eateries and the Trax Bar and restaurant looked very appealing.

Great way of transportation if you don't feel like driving nice and clean don't have to deal with traffic and high gas prices sometimes...lol

Getting around L.A. can be annoying. It has lots of public transportation, so you don't have to drive at least. Union Station is where to get on trains, whether it's Amtrak or Metro. A lot of history is also here. The inside also has lots of places to eat and stuff. A lot of trains you can get on here. It serves Amtrak of course, as well as the local Metro. This includes the A, B, and D Lines among others. As for what to do inside, how about eat. There's lots of fast food type of stuff, including a location of Wetzel's Pretzels. Lots of places to sit and wait for a train, but there's also many sections closed off. There's always some kind of construction going on it seems. Check out the area that has the history of Chinatown. The location of it used to be here. Has to be better than driving around. It's got lots of train options. These can go pretty much to anywhere in the city and wherever.

I took a trip to Europe and left my car here for about 3.5 weeks in the long term/overnight parking area without any issues. I was definitely worried that something bad would happen just leaving my car but I did see some security guards driving around when I left and when I returned. My car was untouched and I had no issues paying or leaving. If you are going to do long term parking just know you have to fill out a paper and drop it off at the office right when you turn into the parking structure (the lady there was very nice when I spoke to her). You save your parking ticket and then when it's time to go home there are payment kiosk/stand things by the elevators that you put your ticket into and then pay via credit card. Once you leave you stick in your ticket to the machine on the way out and boom, you're free to head home. It's super easy! It's really easy to take the FLYAWAY bus too. The bus stop is on the top street level on the other side of the parking structure, just take the elevators up and it's practically right in front of you. You can pay in advance or with a credit card and it'll drop you off at LAX. I would definitely do this again!

This is a perfectly fine yet often maligned transport hub in a party or the country that both wants yet eschews public transport options. I found the place to be very clean, well lit (for California standards), and easy to navigate. Visually, it's really nice. Pick up area for ride shares was easy. Bike racks are right out front. It's a drag it's not easily integrated with the subway or even buses. You have to know where you're going for that. Signage would help, but most of this is because of the design. Regardless, this is a good transport hub.

While my staying in LA, I used this station so many times for Metro, FlyAway bus between LAX, shuttle bus to Citadel outlet mall. Outside of the gates, there are so many securities and after you get into the gate of Metro, there were police officers as well. Waiting room for Amtrack passengers has comfy leather sofas. I didn't have a chance to use but they have restaurant and bar. For quick munchies, pretzel shop, Starbucks and convenience store as well.

On Oct. 20th 2024, I dropped off my mother for her to ride the train to Houston. We have no complaints about the train, the ride or the station itself. However, the customer service received was unacceptable and extremely rude. There was a white lady on the larger side by the customer service windows that was responding very rudely to everyone asking her questions. Unfortunately, I myself had questions and also received the bad treatment. We do not use these services often therefore, we needed some clarification and it's sad to think that it could've been my elderly mother by herself, confused and getting this horrible treatment. Please do better! She is tall, on the heavier side, white, was wearing a mask and her eyes and demeanor was sickening. Please, please, please work on customer service skills or get a new job.

I've passed by the Union Station many times and I've got to say, I never get tired looking at this beautiful building and its Art Deco / Spanish Colonial style - definitely an iconic LA landmark which one must see especially its beautiful interior decor, the ornamental tiles, the ceilings with its intricate details and distinct wooden beams and chandeliers which brings a sense of nostalgia and old world charm. One can only imagine how awesome and glamorous this place must be back when people still used to travel in style before cars became the preferred choice of transportation. With the concerted efforts of Metro and conservation groups, the place was preserved and serving many commuters linking communities in and out of the city either thru rails or buses. (Metro Gold, Red, Purple, Blue, Green lines) I am not sure how many tracks they have at this station, one thing I'm sure of is that Amtrak's Surfliner and Coast Starlight has constant stops here to take passengers in and out of Los Angeles, it's such a pleasurable trip going to Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and even all the way up North to Seattle or South to San Diego! If you're planning to do trips like this, make sure to plan ahead, some trips could take at least a couple days! Book your tickets online and a rental car to drive around the area of your destination, a trip up north can be long and slightly tedious but you'll get rewarded with amazing coastal views, experience and a relaxed commute away from the LA's gridlock and road rage. In my personal opinion, it's worth doing at least once or if you really like train rides. Back to Union Station (lol), passenger drop-off and pick-up here is easy, there are a few access points to get in; one by Alameda, the other by Cesar Chavez and behind the Station on Vigness, I've been lucky enough to always find parking at the small lot in front whenever I'm dropping off Pop's every time he goes up north (which normally just cost me a hefty $4.00 lol) , pick-up is always a breeze as I always come when I know he's already outside. There is always security patrolling outside which is nice, it's conveniently located near LA's Chinatown so if you have some time to spare before your trip, you can always grab some yummy Chinese food or some delicious subs at Philippe before your trip back home or your excursion somewhere. Have a safe trip!

This locale is certainly a hotspot for tourists. It houses a variety of restaurants and bars, along with hosting regular events. The only drawback is the restroom, which appears to have been neglected for quite some time and could really use some renovations.

Over the past 10 years, I have been inside and outside quite a few times for a few reasons. The outside to pick up random Uber riders in the 6 years that I did Uber and also picking up people that I know who can trust me and know I will be there for them! I have gone through the inside coming into the station, whether on a bus or train. I have taken Metrolink trains to get here to go to LA Kings games on the red/purple/blue lines as well as Dodger games from here to Dodger Stadium on the Dodger Express bus. I have also arrived here to switch to an Amtrak train to take it all the way up to Seattle and back. Not only as an Uber driver, but I have taken a few Ubers as a rider to here or back. This is a wonderful hub to go through as I can feel the excitement of getting to where I need to go or helping someone else get to their destination. It's usually pretty clean and safe inside and out. I can't wait for my next adventure to go through here again!!!

I first visited this train station 20 years ago I was taking a special Delivery to a LA Dodger player then returning immediately back to San Diego. It was easy to navigate then, and This week I found it even less intimidating and pretty well have my bearings as to how this station works. Part majestic and grand and park function over form, with long concrete ramped corridors that take you to the dozen or so platforms connected by a long wide hall that spans about a quarter mile long. Light rail or Metro is deep under but very accessible. One side of the station is best for adventure the other side is bleak and set up for ground transportation. If just taking the train in just to explore ask any employee to point you towards Olivera st Plaza, this side exits to the view side on your way out to Olivera St, China Town and Chavez Ravene. This is the side that has Traxx Bar, Subway sandwich shop, convince store and another full-service restaurant within the station. This is the beautiful side with striking architecture and historic sections. If you are on the Metro side near the Starbucks, Flixbus and Greyhound windows that's the transpiration side you will also find restrooms and not as nice of exit for exploring outside.

I dig this place. I see some reviews that talk about folks that are milling about, some asking for their discarded tickets and other things that happen in large city transportation depots. Thats just what it is. You are in LA! I typically travel to and from here from San Diego. I sometimes will transfer to another train or get off here and see friends in LA. The station itself has a good amount of food options, so if you don't have time you can fuel up here at known places like Starbucks and Subway. Yet down the street there are some other amazing local food spots! When traveling on Amtrak, I get the business class ticket, this is the pro tip. You get a seat, but also there is a special, away from the fray, lounge - where you can get snacks and coffee. And, they help you navigate to the train! As person traveling with a service dog, this is so worth it to me. Even if you don't get the upgraded tickets, this station is gorgous, and I have never had a problem navigating through it. Remember it was built a while back, so there may not be the convinces you are expecting, like AC, so give yourself extra time to walk slow during the summer, or dress accordingly. It can also be LOUD, so pack earpro, or earpods, because everything echos.

I really do not have much to say about Union Station I come here only to catch the free transportation to the Dodger's game. The only thing I can say is the station is always clean and there are always plenty of people to help with directions

We came here on a Saturday morning because we were going to the music festival at Dodger Stadium and we found out that there are shuttle buses that go there for free. I first knew about this place from the game LA Noire and I was impressed. I asked my friends if we can go in and check it out and they agreed. I was impressed with the architecture and 1940's art deco style. Reminded me much of how it is in NYC. This place is huge and you can get many bus and train lines from here. Staff was also very friendly here. Great spot to visit in LA.

Los Angeles' main and only Amtrak station. The next closest one is down in Fullerton or closer to NoHo I think. Once you're inside, the station is great. Security guards posted and the architecture is really pretty--very city hall and historic kind of vibe. There are several food and snack places you can buy things to-go for the trains like a Wetzel Pretzel and a fresh juice/smoothie spot. The issue I have with this spot is the entrance/drop-off is a mess. There is a small area for cars to drop off passengers, but it clogs up. However, if you try and get out right at the front entrance when it's backed up, security will yell at you and tell you to get back in your car. This leaves room for error as if you get yelled at or they don't let you get out, waiting to get in to the drop-off queue could mean you're going to miss your train. For those who are not used to metro areas, you may encounter people loitering or un-housed people outside. They are likely there for their own safety since there are security guards outside, so leave them alone and they will leave you alone. Tip: Make sure you give yourself at least 10-15 minutes before your train leaves as the front entrance of Union Station and the actually train platforms are a little bit of a walk away. Parking: paid garage and free drop off queue Seating: indoor chairs Wifi: Unsure about the station itself but the Amtrak has medium strength wifi (not good if you need VPN) Payment: Buy tickets online or in person at the ticket counter or once on the train Vibe: city train station Dress Code: casual and traveler backpack

Not much to truly say about the station as I just use it to pass through. Most of the time I'm here I just sit in the waiting room for the next connection. It's very clean in the main part of the station. The bathroom is very easily accessible and they are surprisingly clean. The staff is very helpful with directions and where to go for your connecting busses or trains. There are also a few food options here that are not super expensive.

La fashion week had a runway show here with society fashion week. I was a model and walked for imperial clothing. Crazy how they can transform it here. The station is huge. Staff was friendly from the people in the station to the parking attendants. They always have security around to help you. Parking was $16. The cleanliness is kept up well also.

Union Station is iconic and such a focal point for LA. I love to take the train from OC to LA for Dodgers game or just for a fun day roaming LA. Union Station is walking distance to many great spots, or there are always taxis/ ubers available. There is a fun bar inside the station as well as a few food options. One day, I'd love to eat at the Traxx restaurant. Crowd can be sketchy as you are right in LA. There are lots of drugged out transients, so I do not suggest coming here alone. Always be aware of your surroundings.

My go to for LAX parking since they have a reasonable daily rate, indoor parking and reasonable fare for a Shuttle to the airport than using the Budget LAX parking. Just plan ahead since you have to fill out a form to be handed to the parking office, buy a ticket for the FlyAway LAX bus and factor in the commute of about 30 mins to the airport. I just prefer this way since I've always preferred being away from the airport area due to the traffic and congestion. I just add some time for the wait and drive to the airport. The waiting time at the airport for the bus back is shorter than the shuttle bus back to the Budget parking lot. The best option is pay for the Economy parking or other lots but that's too much for me since they can get pricey. So much so that it can be more than my plane ticket.

Recently I had to take a little trip out to Fontana. I know it isn't that far from Los Angeles but given the times I was supposed to be at my destination and the time I'd be heading home, I figured this would be the easiest way to make the commute and be able to avoid traffic and not worry about being too fatigued. The station is easy to navigate. It's clean and while there aren't always the most savory of people here, I feel like it's pretty safe as there are always people walking around, whether it is security, station staff, Amtrak or metro link personnel, other commuters or whoever. The main hall of union station is just beautiful, see my photos. I love the way it's lit up like that at night. There are some new food stands and there are some old faves. I like to stop by for a juice or coffee and sometimes something as simple as a muffin before I jump on the train. I went from Glendale, CA to Fontana, CA (with one transfer) for $12.75 one way and from Fontana, CA to Union Station for $8. $20.75, I sure would have spent much more than that on gas had I driven myself. The other thing, too, I Was able to be pretty productive while I was on the train. Nobody came to bother me. I was only asked to scan may mobile ticket once. Everything was running smoothly and on time. There were no delays despite our not so favorable recent storms and crazy weather. If ever you are trying to figure out which way to exit the metro link areas to be able to meet your ride out in front of the station, go towards the Alameda exit. That should take you to the very front. It's kinda hard to miss. The station is pretty convenient. I love when someone is playing the piano out in that front portion of the hall. Beautiful acoustics in there! Be sure to check the mobile app for route changes, time changes and all that good stuff. It was helpful and a very useful tool. (iPhone)

So I make the mistake to buy a ticket from Anaheim to Arizona but, I thought the FlixBus was gonna come from Anaheim to Arizona but no it was in El Monte station that FlixBus. Needed to go no Anaheim and I wanted to canceled but greyhound didn't let me to do that then I came to La union station Los Angeles and I asked a guy who was working there if he give me a refund because I needed to buy another ticket to Arizona and he said he can't do that only customer service I was like okay then I pay 170$ very expensive almost 200$ for the trip all the way to Arizona and I've calling the company of greyhound and they don't want to give me back my money because they said tickets can't be refunded back I told them I'm going soon to California can you at least give me voucher and they said they can't

The main bathroom is closed. The small one with the wet floor is open. The architecture, palm trees and local artwork are pleasant, but LA, you need to do much better if you want to keep pretending to be a major city.

This is where everything connects in Los Angeles! You can access most of the major Metro lines from here. The station is very big and has an ornate design. It's well-cleaned and well-patrolled, so the experience is usually much better than the other stations. There are many places you can buy food here as well if you need a snack. There is a bathroom here to which is nice for long travels. It would be nice if we could get bathrooms at other Metro stations, since there is definitely enough room to accommodate them. Lets hope that we can get some of these amenities in other Metro stations. 7th Street & Metro Center could benefit a lot from having some shops and a bathroom.

It's hard to apply fewer than 5 stars to a place with so much history. The architecture and the continued utility as a major hub for various road and rail transportation make this a pass through for thousands of folks each day. Our most recent trip on the Gold Line ended here, with a bunch of kids and families who had never ridden the train before. Our visit to Olvera Street was bookended by walks through Union Station, and we found it to be relatively clean, clear of creepers, and relatively easy to navigate. On other visits here, I've caught the train to San Diego or San Luis Obispo. Ticketing and boarding are pretty easy-- a lot easier than the airport. When your car is in one of those cities and you're not... it gets the job done. On another trip, my dad and I took the train to San Clemente with our bikes early one morning, and rode them back to Pasadena. Several restaurants and shops have been added here, but not enough for me to cal this a destination. Traveling by rail isn't nearly what it used to be, but if you're going to get on a train, Union Station is much more comfortable than the platform in Glendale.

Union Station Metro train is a great way to get around. San Bernardino, Orange county, Riverside, Los Angeles and more...10 bucks can can get you to these destinations. Super convenient & very affordable. Overall a wonderful way to travel.

Great train station, basically a hub of transportation and quite convenient to see where you need to go at each entrance and hop on the station. Solicitors are usually nonviolent ( maybe some of the voting kinds) and security has very positive energy. Often times there will be someone playing piano on the waiting room entrance. They also have food and starbucks on both sides. If you have a metro or amtrak ticket that is valid ( going to somewhere) you can wait in the church looking area ( just show the security a valid ticket). The bathrooms are very public transport like though so I would avoid them if possible.

I am disabled and can not walk too far without assistance. I decided to take my family on a metro ride, and we had a fun day. The staff told me there was a shuttle that could help me. When I called for the shuttle, they said they would only help me if I was on Amtrak. I felt discriminated against just because I didn't spend money on an expensive ticket, although I paid for the metro ticket. The Union staff were very helpful and I really appreciate them trying to help

I love this historic train station. The downtown transportation hub in LA for a track, metro link and connecting buses all converge in the union station complex. Renovated to its former charm and historic feel. This union Station has restaurants and coffee and a lounge area for passengers as well as connections to red and purple lines and the gold line and regional buses and trains. It's gotten a bit rough since COVID and some of its charm his diminished but I still love how it looks and it's primary purpose of bringing multiple modes of transportation together in one place.

I love Union Station because it's so easy to find your way around even if your not from the area. Multiple means of transportation come thru here like busses, Amtrak trains and the Metro link to take you where you need to be. The Station has several different food & drink places such as Starbucks, Subway and Wetzel's pretzels..which can be all enjoyable. The restrooms are easily accessible and pretty clean cause they have plenty of staff on hand to keep things tidy. Only thing that is a set back is how many people there are begging for money. You have to watch your bags and purses closely (as you would any time you are traveling) but yes just keep an extra eye out on these busters out here! I will be coming again and again as long as I can avoid flying....ciao for now

Confusing. Very confusing. Ask employees where you need to go if you feel lost. This is a big place. I'm not a huge fan

Just like 7th and Metro, Union Station now has LA Metro stops for all main lines (A, B, D, E). We walked back here after our Chinatown visit, since it now has a direct connection back to Long Beach via the Blue line. This is also where you would connect to Amtrax and MetroLink, as well as long haul buses like Greyhound and Flix. With the high speed rail to LV just breaking ground in '23, I envision it will be come even more popular as a connection point.

I had a very good experience here after arriving by Amtrak, all personnel were helpful and friendly. I am disabled and needed assistance getting from the Amtrak train to the Metro train and got assistance all the way.

Great location to drop off or pick up folks from the Flyaway bus terminal. Look out for the sign for drop off and pick up as you go underground and turn left. If you get there early it's ok to park there for a bit and it's free. If you are the guest, from the flyaway bus terminal, make your way downstairs to get to your ride.

Love it, stress free travel, always on time, nice views, cute little cafeteria, confortable seats.

This is a huge train station. It's intimidating but once you know the system it's easy to find your way around. Give yourself plenty of time and be prepared to do a bit of walking to your gate. Traveling by train is great because there's not a lot of screening, it's very convenient. I look forward to taking day trips from OC now that I know how easy and affordable it is.

Union Station in Los Angeles is a great transportation hub serving Amtrak long distance trains, Metrolink regional rail, Metro Rail subway and light rail lines, and dozens of bus lines operated by Metro and other carriers. In addition to its current day role as an urban transportation center, Union Station can be appreciated for its historic and architectural significance. The structure combines Art Deco, Mission Revival, and Streamline Moderne styles in a unique Southern California way, frequently called "Mission Moderne". The Waiting Room lets the mind wander to the rail travel heyday of the 1940s and 1950s. Walk the grounds and take in the gardens. Check out the Fred Harvey Room -- it was the Harvey House Restaurant -- and the original Ticket Concourse. Both of them tend to be closed to the public. I'm happy that I get to use Union Station several times a year, and it is a "must see" when I'm showing Los Angeles to visiting family and friends.

This is definitely a must see! Whether you travel through here or not, it's just a beautiful place, and renovated recently in a complete pre-midcentury revival of colonial Spanish architecture! This place is simply gorgeous! There aren't very many impressive massive structures of this type left in California; no expense was spared! The stunning vintage decor with a hint of Art Deco flare of the period is priceless.

Union Station is one of my favorite buildings in Los Angeles. Why I love it so? - There is so much history here. It opened in 1939, yet has constantly been added on to. There is now a large aquarium with local fish, the tall Metro Headquarters building, and the modern East Portal. - It somehow balances being a beautiful place, while still being functional by servicing as the largest railroad passenger terminal in the Western US. - The architecture is stellar with an Art Deco exterior, while the interior seems as if you've been transported to Santa Barbara 100 miles north due to Mission Revival decor. - There is easy access to the Dodger Stadium and LAX Airport via express bus service stops. Also there is a clearly designated rideshare area. - The public can also rent the inside historic ticketing hall for private events such as wedding ceremonies. They host several public events here annually too. - The waiting hall offers several dining options from the sit-down restaurant and bar called TRAXX and Homebound Brew Haus (previously Imperial Western Brewing Company), to more fast food selections including Subway, Starbucks, and Wetzel's Pretzels. There is also a convenience store and several ATMs. - Union Station is easy walking distance to El Pueblo/Olivera Street (Mexican shopping and dining alleyway), Chinatown and many other destinations.

Union Station of Los Angeles I like to report Kevin and Jennifer RED drivers. They were really rude to me and my family. When calling for a ride I showed them my tap card they said that wasn't a ticket laughed and left. This was my first time there and calling for their assistance for my elderly father n law. I thought since the Tap card I bought for riding was my ticket apparently I was wrong but they were no help at all they laughed and left without explanation or clarifying anything!! What type of service is that?! When confronting them as we got to near the exit of the building I told them that what they did was wrong to not even offer help to have LAUGHED AND LEFT and being extremely rude and dismissive to us was UNACCEPTABLE. employees like these are a representation of the company and I don't believe that Amtrak would accept this type of service.

It's always cool to walk the union station, trip out on people around it looking lost.

This is a big place. Arrive early to give yourself time to get to your train. The station is very big and is air conditioned. They have a Starbucks and pretzel place inside that are open for business. There is also a convenience store and there is a separate area for nursing mothers to nurse babies located by the bathrooms. Bathrooms are clean and have several stalls. They have a huge screen with all of the train times and destinations. There are plenty of leather chairs to sit in while you wait. They have security guards inside as well as several on duty policemen. Masks are required. The information desk is helpful. They will call someone to help you with your luggage if you need assistance. They will load your luggage up and drive you in a gulf cart to your train location . They accept tips. Keep in mind you may want to wait until it is close to boarding time to stand outside and wait for your train, it gets extremely warm & with no fans, I could see someone becoming ill from the heat in the summer time. They have a small parking lot at the main entrance or there is a larger parking lot behind the station that charges $16. As long as you have your ticket saved on your phone, you will not need to print one out.

So sad that the homeless have overtaken this place to the point that they have had to rope off the beautiful seating in the train depot. What was once a great stopping point for visitors and residents alike has now turned into an indoor skid row. I can hear someone say "how cold or privileged of you". And to them I say this. Unless you have SEVERE mental illness, homelessness in California is a choice. There is a service for everything here. The issue is addiction. People want no rules and the ability to continue to use drugs. My brother was homeless for two years because he chose to be on the streets and not have rules. I have seen the empty beds at the programs for homeless addicts because they chose the drugs over the roof! The community should not have to suffer the blight because adults are Making poor choices.
