The food was delicious and came out very fast. Great service and friendly staff. Good location too

I'm not sure what happened, because this restaurant used to be great. Service was slow. The host seated us right away but never told the waitress we were there. The table next to us had the same, so they went and got us a waitress. I noticed that the host and waitress were not Latino. Usually, everyone is Latino. The food was good for us. The biggest issue we had was the wait time. Normally, we would have had our food by the time the waitress took our drink order. It's definitely a communication issue and management issue going on.

I've eaten here many times over the last 5 years. I've never had any issues until today. I had literally just finished my food when I noticed a small cockroch crawling across my plate and then onto the plate of cheese bean dip. I then promptly killed it and my fiance's mother and sister-in-law brought it to the shift supervisor's attention to which he only gave us a 5% discount which is bogus. On top of all of that, it was my fiancé's mother's birthday dinner and the waitress took her plate before she could even eat 1/3rd of her meal. After this incident I highly recommend going to another establishment for Mexican or Spanish style food.

Google
Service was great and the food was good. The Chile Relleno was different than I expected - I was expecting a chili stuffed with meat and cheese, but the Los Arcos lunch is meat and cheese with a couple of strips of chili. It was quite tasty, just not what I was expecting. That being said, the food was really good and we'll be back for more. Definitely recommend.

Google
This is hands down our favorite Mexican location. My husband says it's because of the salsa. His go to meal is the pollo Chipotle. Even on days when I'm not in the mood for Mexican, I enjoy coming here because I get a big delicious bowl of chicken soup. I will add more dishes to my pictures eventually. We've ate here so many times I can't count. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Google
The Manager Jose Ocampo has repeatedly messaged and called me via Facebook, I do NOT know this guys, nor have any type of interest to know him. This is disgusting, so after I had warned him… I am making sure the word gets out there. I had once eaten at this restaurant many many years ago, back then food was ok, but not enough for me to come back, service was decent and that is why I chose not to leave negative feedback back then, but this time… this guy asked for it, so he can have it.

Google
Very good Mexican food. My wife and I ate there last night. The service was good. The food was good. Pricing is about average. Food came out quickly and we were at dinner time. California Burrito was delicious.

Alex Andria

Google
Food was great and was large portions as usual. The service was definitely lacking. The server we had brushed us off while treating the table next to us like royalty. She forgot things multiple times, like the queso, which we eventually received but without jalapeños as we ordered it.

Yelp
On Saturday my friend and I ate at Los Arcos in Kannapolis. I hadn't dined here in years. We were seated upon arrival and our waitress was Dallas. She was attentive and helped us to select food on the menu. I ordered a grilled fish and shrimp combination. The food was served quickly and of course we both had margaritas. I only gave a four star because the booth that was very creaky and it rocked a lot when you sat down and when you got up!

Yelp
Decided to give this place a try today for lunch. I had the burrito azteca. Vegetables could've been chopped a bit smaller and it was lacking seasoning but all in all it was good. Would definitely give them another try. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and always had a smile. Decor was colorful and I loved the music that was playing. If youre in the Kannapolis area, you should stop and give this place a try. Oh and to add the waiters are quite handsome as well.

Yelp
I went to a Mexican restaurant in Winston-Salem and I fell in love with their chile poblano relleno. I looked around my town for the same dish but only a couple of restaurants have it including here. This is the closest to it that I have found, not near as good as Winston but close enough. I've tried it 3 times and it's been the same every time. I wish it was almost the same as the Winston restaurant but even the rice and beans aren't as good. The beans tasted kind of old each time. I've only came on the weekends and for just me the 2 poblano meal and a margarita was over $30. Each time was a different server, 1 was great but the other 2 were barely seen. Overall I give it 3.5 stars!

Yelp
My friend and I were out Ubering for the lunch rush and were getting hungry. So we decided to get some Mexican food for lunch! We never tried this place before so we decided to give it a go. The decor was so festive and fun for the restaurant which made me happy and made me want to watch Coco for some reason Anyway, I ordered the chicken quesadilla which was really yummy for the lunch special. I give this place 5 stars and would recommend it if you are in the neighborhood.

Yelp
We've been to Los Arcos a few times now. Never ceases to differ in the great tasting meal served to our table. The waiters have always been on spot, quick and great personality. Meals has varied, including the Christmas Tamales which was a good as the tamales in East Las Angeles Ca! Finally! A place that sales a good quality tamale!

Yelp
So I think I like it here. I have visited 3x: 1 dine in and 2 carry-outs. I really appreciate a place that gives the same quantity AND quality of food at dine-in vs take-out. I have ordered the same thing each time: Hawaiian fajita and each time has been consistent. Soon I will try something else... one day! The food is obviously delicious. They serve so much food, at least a meal and a half/possibly two (dependent on greed level)! I love the atmosphere/decor There is a wide variety to choose from on the menu (so why do I keep flocking to the Hawaiian fajita?) Dining area is seated closely together, for the most part, but it's vast enough that it doesn't feel overcrowded. There also appeared to be a reservation area for large groups (someone seemed to be having a large bday dinner when I visited). All the staff I encountered seemed cool. I will definitely continue to order takeout here and hope to dine-in again in the near future.

Yelp
A friend and I went to Los Arcos for dinner one Friday night before a show at the Kannapolis Performing Arts Center. There are a LOT of Mexican restaurants close to the Center, but Los Arcos's parking lot seemed the busiest, so we felt we made a good choice. We didn't have any appetizers, but enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. Both their hot and mild salsas are VERY good. I especially loved the strong cilantro flavor in the hot salsa. For our entrees, both of us had combo #11, with a beef taco, cheese enchilada, and rice and beans. Their plates are huge, and the portion sizes seemed bigger than our local La Unica. The beans tasted homemade (NOT from a can), and everything was covered in cheese. The enchilada and taco were really good. Rice is, well, rice. No complaints here, but I didn't eat much of it. Service was fast and efficient. Our server was very friendly, too. If I'm ever in the are, I'll definitely return to Los Arcos!

Yelp
The only place we'll go to in Kannapolis! We love the burritos and fajitas! Our one year old is a huge fan and they're always so great with him. We order to go often and everything is as it would be if we were dining in.

Yelp
I decided to treat myself to a place I've wanted to try since I've heard good things. On a rainy Monday, this place was busy for an early dinner. I honestly wonder if there was a special that I was unaware of. Anyways, the complimentary chips and salsa were a hit. As was the regular lime margarita. The chori- queso was not only a small portion, but came out cold and lacking of flavor. I'm sure it was seasoned ground beef. However, the chorizo plate was delicious. The pork was textured wonderfully and the plate was not greasy. The pico was fresh and very jalapeño forward which I appreciated. I should have asked for some habanero sauce to see that play out so I will next time. Overall, I loved the experience. The place had a great atmosphere and the service was quick and attentive. I'm sure I'll be back to try more.
google avatar

Kym L.

Yelp
Yes, I would recommend going right at lunch time when they are busy. The plates are nicer in appearance and the food has always been good.

Fred F.

Yelp
Great food and good service! Great flavors abound and not bland like others just down the street. Servers are attentive and remember their patrons and welcome them with a smile. Try the Mexican Pasta, it is delicious!

Christian H.

Yelp
there was a guy who kept walking in and out of the bathroom and staring at me through the gap in the stall creeped me out so much
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered arroz con pollo and received chicken with queso on it. That's it. No rice. I cooked some of my own rice and added it to it. Once I started eating the food, it wasn't great. The chicken had the consistency and taste of the fajita precooked chicken you buy at the grocery store in packets. Absolutely horrible. Won't be back to this one.

Yelp
My Family and I have been going here since they opened. The food is always fast and good, and the service is usually amazing. They even know our faces and most of our order. Unfortunately, they obtained a new male worker. I'm not sure if he's a server or manager, but he's not great. We've unfortunately got him the last two times we've went, and he's gotten our order wrong both times. Even with him writing it down. Plus, he always calls us "Girls". I'm definitely more than a girl, and I know he's trying to be nice, but it's not coming off that way. We use to go every week, and now it's been a month since we went. We are afraid he will be the one we get stuck with again! We love the place, the majority of the people, and the food is good. Would love to not get stuck with him again! But we haven't written off Los Arcos yet. It really is a home away from home, and it use to be one of the reasons we haven't wanted to move!

Brenda A.

Yelp
I placed a take out order due to my husband's health. I ordered a steak burrito and pollo fundido. I was told my total was $23 and some change. When I picked it up, I was told my total was $25.89. To make matters worse the chicken and steak was so tuff we couldn't even chew it and it didn't even taste like Mexican food. I love Mexican food but if this place was my only choice I'd would turn against it. AWFUL! .

Marco S.

Yelp
To whom it may concern, this is the least authentic Mexican food I've had thus far. I order the two taco and the rice and beans and I'm honestly really disappointed. My expectation was beef carne asada tacos with maíz tortilla but instead got a soggy hard corn shell taco with bland ground beef. I might as well go to Taco Bell.

Frank D.

Yelp
We were just passing through the area and looked up Mexican Restaurants. We had never been there before. They have a great selection, the prices were very reasonable, the food tasted great and the service was excellent. I wish we had one in our state.

Donna O.

Yelp
Excellent service! Excellent food! Give you big helpings. Love this place. I will be back and recommend it to my friends.

Yelp
Great dinner with friends. Nice to be able to dine in again. Some got nachos and chimichangas. I got the Pelusa. My new fav.

Darren M.

Yelp
The wife & I eat here just about every Sunday night. Great Margaritas. She especially likes the Enchiladas de Cameron. (Shrimp Enchiladas). I like that as well. The burrito fundido is probably my favorite. The wait staff speaks very good English.

Charlene G.

Yelp
Los Arcos is my favorite Mexican Restaurant. The food is always fantastic. I gave them a two star rating because of their total disregard of the Covid pandemic directives. While we were there during the Sunday lunch hour I observed employees with masks lowered to their neck, hugging of patrons, a birthday song to an employee that included hugging, very close proximity and passing around a sombrero. I closely observed the cleaning of a table after a patron had left. The table was wiped down. No other measure was taken. I actually had an anxiety attack and had to leave. But that was me. I really hope they improve their Covid awareness. I hate it because their food is so good.

Kitty C.

Yelp
Some of the WORST "Mexican" Food I have ever eaten! Ordered a chili relleno one strip of chili, some awful meat and some wierd topping. Taco was soggy ground beef as bad as that in the chili relleno. Literally I ate the beans at least some of them and left the rest. Don't waste your time or money

Yelp
Los Arcos has been one of my favorite restaurants since I was a kid! This place is definitely not fancy or high end. Unassuming and filled with hand painted murals and comfy booths. The menu is rather large and has a vegetarian section (woohoo, gosh knows Kannapolis is in dire need of more veggie friendly spots). The staff is always really nice and your order comes out super fast! I've barely had time to make a dent in my free chips and salsa and out comes my entree on a pipin' hot plate. My favorites: spinach burrito and the queso.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
It had probably been 3+ years since I had been here. I was pleasantly surprised at how great everything was. They had new booths, larger portions, and different options. In Kannapolis, people either go to Los Arcos, El Amigo, or Casa Grande. I will definitely add Los Arcos into our rotation because everything we had was great. I had Chipotle Chicken with Rice and Beans. It was a delicious spin on the typical Arroz con Pollo that you find at other restaurants. Also, if you are looking for the typical Arroz con pollo, you'd want to order the pollo con crema here. The arroz con pollo here is different than at most places.

Beth S.

Yelp
We enjoyed our dinner at Los Arcos. The wait staff was very friendly, paid attention to our needs and were efficient. Our food came out very quickly. My husband ordered carnitas, I had the fajita quesadilla and our child had the cheese quesadilla with rice. All of our food was delicious! We are from Colorado and it has been very hard to find decent Mexican food. We were very happy with this restarting and will return soon.

Walker S.

Yelp
I had the buffalo chicken burrito the other day and it was just all around awful, the cheese dip wasn't good either. All in all just a negative experience
google avatar

Cory M.

Yelp
Wow amazing food and amazing service. This is probably my third time coming here and I've been to a lot of Mexican Restaurant this by far is the best. If your looking for a great place to go eat this place won't let you down.

Yelp
This local standby is always a favorite and I introduced a good friend and new yelper to the K-town go to for Mexican...Los Arcos. It is unassuming and located in a transformed steakhouse but offers a great meal for a great price and with great service...what more could you ask for!?! The cheese queso (with jalapenos please) is SO good and I get it every time we go and couple it with the hot salsa and chips...oh MY!...I chose the chicken fajitas tonight and they were great and he had the beef fajita quesadilla and it looked great too! Service was awesome, attentive and helpful and always SO friendly! I have never had a dish here that I didn't like - check it out if you're around town...It's a great choice!
google avatar

Brett K.

Yelp
Walked into the restaurant and was seated fairly quick. Over 10 minutes have passed and I have chips and salsa but no one has taken my order or ask me if I would like a drink. Table next to me said they had been here 20 minutes, they just got their drinks.

James B.

Yelp
If I could leave less than one star I would. When we got there ,I ordered a double shot of cognac and it was not close to a double shot. I ordered fajitas and tortillas were not given and the food was falling onto the table. They didn't even offer to give tortillas. Not given refills on our drinks. This place is a joke. I would not eat here if you value service.
google avatar

Raven K.

Yelp
For sure an amazing restaurant, great service, great food, always hot! The staff is very welcoming, waiter or waitress is constantly checking up on you and making sure everything is great. Loved this place.

Carla F.

Yelp
Stopped in while looking at potential houses. I'd move here for the fish tacos! Lisandro is very attentive and knows the food/flavors so well.

Yelp
Since I'm from California, I'm always on the look-out for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. I believe I found what I am looking for! It was recommended by a couple of my friends to try this place out since I live in the Concord area. It kind of reminded me of a 'hole-in-the-wall' place where it's not a corporate America type place *cough* On The Border *cough*. We started out with the chips and salsa and of course side of queso dips. The queso is fantastic! You can opt out the jalapeño peppers and just go with the cheese. What impressed me the most is when we were on our 2nd queso dip boat and received our food, the waitress asked if we wanted the cheese reheated. I've never had a waitress do that, so big points there! The food was great! The menu was pretty extensive and easy to work through. I got the #22. 1 burrito, 1 enchilada, and 1 tamale. I haven't had a good tamale in a long time and this one was perfect. It wasn't just all corn meal and the meat inside was fresh and warm instead of either still frozen because it wasn't cooked long enough, or just above cool. The burrito could have used a little more meat in it, but it was still very good. I particularly liked the fact that my meal wasn't small portions of what I ordered and a TON of spanish rice. It was all balanced evenly. Like most Mexican restaurants, watch out for the plates, they're hot. The service was prompt and friendly. Glasses were never empty, and the food was right on time. Sadly, I didn't drink but I was looking at their drink specials and I will have to come back and try them out. They have $2.99 margaritas that look really yummy, and of course the other standard liquor drink specials looked like a good deal as well. The only reason why I am giving it 4 stars is because I think it might have had something to do with me getting sick later on. Even though I ended up getting sick, I will still go back.
google avatar

Crystal S.

Yelp
Yeah. Having the manager call me a "fat old lady" in Spanish and then proceed to make fun of me while I was checking out pretty much ensured that I will not ever return. So diners, beware. And it sucks too, because the food is actually pretty good.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Wow I loved this place but it has went down hill. Rude staff and poor quality food. Management has no customer service skills. Even after remodel place smells odd...almost like mildew. Glad we have other Mexican options in the area that are great.

Yelp
My family lives in the area, and I grew up there, so I have been eating here since I was very young (and at the time they were located in what is now the Italian restaurant across the parking lot). Throughout the years (at least 18 ago), I have seen staff come and go, the menu change and change again, and several redecorations, but the original manager from my childhood still makes appearances every now and again, a true testament to a good restaurant chain (they have a couple of locations). This is not authentic Mexican cuisine in any sense of the word (at least not Distrito Federal), and it is not Tex-Mex, but it is perfectly acceptable and delicious. Service is always quick and decent to excellent. They definitely know and take care of their regulars, so that is a major positive. As my family has visited frequently since their original days, I do not hold the restaurant against it (since my adopted family is Caucasian and English speaking, I was adopted) but the staff does not seem to like to speak Spanish, even though I speak it fluently. Since I live in Brazil (Portuguese speaking I know) and often work throughout Latin America, particularly Argentina, I speak Spanish fluently, although with a non-traditional accent. The staff often seems offended and off-put when I speak to them in Spanish. That said, the food is excellent and very decently priced. I have seen some improvements to some dishes, and some declines to other during the years, but overall it is still quite delicious. My favourites are Burrito Jalisco en Pollo, Chimichanga al Carbon en Carne Asada, y Camarone a la Diabla (muy picante). The only downside is that unfortunately if you like super spicy food, you can only receive it (even if requesting "muy picante") if you are visiting without "gringo" patrons. I have ordered the same dishes on multiple occasions both with my family (ended up mild) and without (deliciously painful).

Shelby M.

Yelp
Great food, awesome drinks, authentic atmosphere and food! Wonderful staff! Been coming here since I was a child and they have never disappointed me!
google avatar

Skeletor W.

Yelp
Food was great, waitress was super pleasant and on her shit. Salsa is straight fire too. Has kind of a habanero bite to it that was so amazing that I literally came in my pants. Will be back again!
google avatar

Hank L.

Yelp
By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The staff is always friendly and the service is top notch. The food is always piping hot, served quickly and delicious.

Grace O.

Yelp
Food wasn't what I expected. Every living person is capable of making good food. They don't care. Disappointing.
google avatar

Brandi H.

Yelp
Pretty great food, the consistency is an issue. We always do takeout because service is spotty but when we do takeout the portions are just never the same---somedays you get a ridiculous amount of food, others not so much---to the point of I'm not even sure what the serving size is actually supposed to be. Last time we ordered I did no peppers and my boyfriend did no mushrooms. Well he got a bunch of mushrooms and no peppers, and I got no mushrooms, but at least they didn't put peppers in my food. They even had the boxes marked correctly so I'm not sure what happened. Some guy names Cruze is pretty rude so we haven't been back since. We used to go three-four times a month but that guy was super rude. The food deserves five stars when it's right, but the inconsistency and rude staff doesn't earn the place a 5 Star review.

Yelp
My husband, friend, and I went there last night for a late celebration for my birthday that was 2 weeks ago. I know that in Mexican restaurants, they like to smash whipped cream into people's faces - SOMETHING THAT I DO NOT LIKE AND DON'T WANT DONE TO MYSELF BECAUSE 1) IT'S VERY MESSY AND 2) I DON'T CONSUME DAIRY AT ALL - before giving a complimentary dessert which is WHY I, or anyone at my table, did not mention anything about a birthday. I guess the waitress assumed it was because my friend had brought in a huge birthday gift bag and gave it to me and told the waitress that she was going to pick up my check. Despite us not mentioning anything about a birthday to them, here came the staff with a hat and saucer of whipped cream right to our table. I was caught off guard and didn't quite know how to react so I didn't say anything but now wish I would have because not only did the whipped cream get all over my face (all this dairy which I don't consume for ethical reasons), half of it slid off the saucer, which must have been warm causing some of the cream to melt (and there was a lot of it), and right onto and all over my new black outfit that I had on. Needless to say, I was livid, but, somehow kept my cool. The waitress just brought me a few napkins to wipe it off with. A clean, wet towel would have been much better as it was so much whip cream that the napkins were of little help. I stunk of dried dairy after that as well. Luckily we didn't plan on going anywhere after or I would have had to have gone home and changed and redo my makeup. So, all of that being said, it would behoove the staff of this restaurant not to smash whip cream into peoples' faces unless they are specifically asked by birthday patrons or others at their table to do so, AND, when you do, don't be so aggressive about it and PARTICULARLY not to the point to where it gets all over someone's outfit and ruins it. UNACCEPTABLE!!! I don't care what the traditions are in Mexico, not ok! As much as I love their ceviche, I will never return to this place because of this incident.

Yelp
This is hands down the best Mexican Restraunt in Kannapolis everything is delicious! I love there newly remodeled look it's wonderful!!!

Alan O.

Yelp
Mexican good salsa is almost to hot to eat so it just not as good as other Mexican restaurants in Kannapolis

DeAnna C.

Yelp
Nachos Fajita $8.49 Cheese nachos with strips of beef or chicken cooked with tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers with a special sauce. This is what was described on their menu. I ordered this to go, and apparently they don't know their own menu. There was no cheese, and no sauce. I asked for the chips on the side. I am not sure how they confused chips with cheese and special sauce, but I will not be ordering from them again.

William K.

Yelp
Very good customer service !!!!!! 10/10 would try and take out again and again. Loved the manager , didn't even catch his name but he was the sweetest guy you ever will meet. He came to every table and asked the quality of the food .

Yelp
Best Mexican in Concord/Kannapolis. Everything is delicious. Been coming to Los Arcos for close to 20 years now and it never disappoints. I moved an hour away and had not had it in 5 years but moved back to Kannapolis recently and went back to Los Arcos yesterday. It was exactly what I remember!! Los Arcos will be back in the rotation immediately!!

Yelp
This is the best Mexican food I've had in the Kannapolis/Concord area. The special dinner is incredible and you can't beat the prices.

Yelp
Great restaurant! Great people! Great food! Best fajitas in town! Wife and kids love the cheese dip. Been coming here for almost 15 years.
