Regional Burrito Shop Los Burros Supremos Opens in Portland Friday | Eater Portland

"Opening Friday, October 27 at 4529 SE Division Street, this takeout-and-delivery-centric market focuses on a few regional styles of burritos and Mexican American-made products and beverages, anchored by two tortilla types: Norteño-style flour tortillas and house-nixtamalized corn tortillas. Echoing the Tacos Con Onda pop-up, mesquite-grilled carne asada arrives wrapped in Sonoran-style flour tortillas and can be served simply with pinto beans and avocado or as a Mission-style burrito with pinto beans, rice, lime crema, salsa roja, and cheese; Mission-style filling options include chicken tinga, carnitas, and sweet potatoes charred over mesquite. The menu also highlights smaller, rice-free Norteños (served two to an order), and weekend burritos filled with chilaquiles plus a protein, a fried egg, pinto beans, and lime crema — a nod to the chef’s love of chilaquiles." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Google
I was interested in Los Burros Supremos because I read that it was created by a Michelin-Starred chef. A burrito by a guy like that had to be amazing, right? The vibe is big, bright, bold and colorful. The ingredients in our burritos were high quality. But the flavor was kind of bland. Even the hot sauce lacked horsepower. In the end it was nothing special. I'm sure this will float some people's boat so I'm giving five stars because of the quality. but I'm not the customer. Street parking is luck of the draw. Google
Los Burros Supremos was delicious and flavorful. Their flour tortillas were thin, but not too thin to not hold the burrito together. They make the burrito then grill it which makes it nice and crispy on the outside. We got a number 1 La Mission Suprema with carnitas and a number 6 the Nacho ordinary burrito. I liked the number 6 the most but Nachos has to be your thing. Both came with 3 salsas that, in my option, were not spicy. The green on was my favorite one. We also got 2 elotes(corns) smothered with Mayo, parm cheese, and tajin. They were on point too. We also got my niece plain asada tacos and she ate 3 of them, which says something because she’s a picky eater. The burritos were decently priced for what you got, same for the taco. The elotes were overpriced for what I’ve gotten at other places before. Some cons: parking can be rather difficult to find, depending on when you decide to go. Another one was the building was pretty toasty warm. We went during the peak of the heat and the sun was shining directly in. Don’t get me wrong it made it look more beautiful in there but it was HOT. LOL. No matter the cons, we will be back. One of the tastiest burritos I’ve had in the metro area.

Google
Great place to grab a Delicious Breakfast Burrito! 🌯 😋 I found it especially nice they use real papas instead of french fries for the potato. The burrito itself isn't overly huge, but packed with enough ingredients, it fills you up! And at about $9 a burrito, you can afford to get 2! Service is pleasant, fast and the colorful - open dining room is inviting! Will definitely be on my top 5 places to grab burritos in the Portland area!

Google
Excellent burrito if a bit expensive. The horchata actually stood out to me a bit more than the burrito! With its creamy blended smoothness and balanced cinnamon aftertaste (without being overly sweet) it was probably one of the nicer horchatas I’ve sampled and I am quite the connoisseur of horchata!

Google
I don’t normally eat a lot of burritos, but I freaking love these burritos. They are perfect. The tortillas are the star of the show - so perfect and soft and good flavor and toasty. Ingredients and flavors are delicious. Sauce options are great. All the dips and chips are yummy too if you need a little something extra. The flauta is really good too - I think they may only do it on Fridays or the weekends tho? It’s nice and crispy. Has great flavor and isn’t too oily/greasy. Burritos are also a nice size - not so huge you can’t handle it, but big enough to be filling. They also re-heat surprising well if you need to save some for a treat later.

Google
Was really excited to check this place out after seeing some promising articles and a lot of social media buzz. Overall I thought the food was solid but not quite the level of mind blowing taste that I was hoping for. So what led to this feeling. I’ll start by highlighting the good. It’s a cool hole in the wall spot with a funny door entry and efficient pickup. Food wise the tortillas were quite tasty and felt fresh, sauces were also good. Overall I think the breakfast burrito was probably the tastiest and the potatoes were really well seasoned. My disappointment came in that the burritos generally felt pretty dry. All of their offerings highlight a queso sauce that made them look gooey and delicious in the photos. That said I didn’t really get any of that taste when actually eating the burrito. I don’t know if just the main “cheese” is what they meant by the queso but it was not the saucy inside that I might have imagined. Size wise they also weren’t super big and thus I had to get two to be actually full. For Portland maybe this deserves a higher review but given the hype around the opening I wasn’t blown away like I hoped.

Google
I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now and glad that they are downtown, making it easier to get to during lunch. We ordered a couple of items to share: La Mission Suprema, Breakfast Burrito with Chorizo, and Tejano Style Queso. The Mission Burrito was nice in size and packed with carbs. It was good, but a bit dry, and need a little more sauce (in my opinion). The Chorizo Breakfast Burrito was delicious and definitely worth getting again. The queso was nice and flavorful. It's on the heavier side for sure, but worth it. The interior of the place is colorful with round tables to choose from.

Google
Not sure what these Karen’s are complaining about…. Excellent breakfast burrito. Got it with chorizo, was not greasy, was sizable, filling, very affordable. Salsa verde was great. Enjoy quality food at a reasonable price and stop complaining!

Yelp
Incredible burrito and incredible service! Love this place. They made 6 breakfast burritos (yes 6!) for me in under 10 min for an NFL Sunday watch party I hosted. I couldn't recommend this place MORE! Go have the food here - so worth it!

Yelp
Oh, boy. This place is as Tejano as a case of lutefisk, which is to say, yes, all the employees and beer might be Tejano, but the food is .. pure Blanco. I just stopped in for some queso and chips and a Modelo. Things got weird fast, even before the food. So, I order the queso, which is made with white American, Jack, poblano and jalapeño. WTH? Yes, queso &chips WERE invented by a Tejano chef in the 60's when asked to make a light snack for a ladies' club that would "taste Mexican." So, he sautéed some onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños, made a thickened sauce with cheddar and called it "nachos." Big hit, but this is nothing like that. The sharpness of cheddar, the contrast of tomato, the heat of jalapeño... all MIA in this off-white fondue. But it gets weirder. The tips page gives you the option of 3, 5, and 7%. Yes, I'm not kidding. This might be the only Texas part, as the owners must think their employees are dirt, which is indeed quite Texan. I did a small tip of 20% using the custom tip field, but I doubt the poor people working here will see much in tips if they don't fix what has to be the lowest tip menu in Portland, and when $15/hr is barely enough to share rent with 4 roommates. I will not go back unless they reply that they will fix their recipes and treat their employees more fairly.

Yelp
Great size burritos and taste. Loved the breakfast burrito too. Thought I'd try a different place for my super burrito fix. They have a good selection, so it was hard to choose, but you can have add-ons. I like how they scramble their eggs and the sausage that was in my burrito too. Great service and place. I'll definitely be coming here again.

Yelp
Breakfast burro was pretty good, although maybe a little dry without adding meat to it, so would probably do that next time. Plenty filling. Did takeout so can't comment on ambiance much or service but it was ready promptly when I arrived.

Yelp
Order Pros: n/a Cons: Yal I walked in and walked right on out!! I was ordering a $14 nacho add $2 guac and thought it was reasonably priced. I prepare to swipe my card at the register and I see a $1.35 service charge. I asked what it was and he said oh it's like a sur charge the register does automatically. I was upset because I aint never paid almost $18 for a nachos lol. I walked right on out.
google avatar

Martina B.

Yelp
$20 after I added guacamole and pickled onions to the #1 carne asada burrito. Not worth it in my opinion with so many other carts/options around. The space is nice and bright and has a casual vibe. The service was quick and nice but for the price and the taste (average) I'd say worth a try but probably not a repeat
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good breakfast burrito that I got to go. It was fairly large and filling *cue potatoes*, flavorful, and had a bit of a kick to it. There was ample seating and quite a variety of drinks and other burritos / nachos to try. Would come back again and dine in next time.

Yelp
Love this place. We've tried the 2# La Mision Suprema, the 3# ¡Ahuevo! Breakfast Burro & the 4# El Norteño. We've had them with both carnitas and chicken Tinga, neither of them disappointed but the chicken Tinga was my fave! Definitely order extra salsa, it's really good but the portions are on the small side. Will for sure be back to try the 6# "Nacho" Ordinary Burro!
google avatar

Yelp
Take out girl here. I ordered from here to get a breakfast burrito. What I ended up with was rubbery eggs and grease with potato's and cheese. It's was so greasy the damn thing couldn't even hold together took two bites and threw it away. It's true Portland sucks for authentic Mexican food. Speaking as a Mexican. Next time I'll just make my bfast burrito at home.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant because it was near my hotel and had great reviews. I'm from Texas, so I can be picky with my burritos, but this place is really good! I ordered the breakfast burrito, and everything was cooked to perfection. The burrito is massive, so you get your bang for your buck. I also tried the chips and guac which were good. I would definitely return to this place! Friendly workers and quick service. You can order on a screen if you prefer contactless.

Yelp
I somewhat expected a Portland over-hyped eatery: long waits, high prices, and entitled automatic gratuity. Well, this place had all that (thankfully no health fee), but how they differ is that the final product actually satisfied. The #3 with Poblano was very good. Breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches are my most reviewed category and what usually takes one to the next level are crisp potatoes (even tots work.) Here, the potatoes are not a simple afterthought. Another differentiator is that the scrambled egg curds are small; nothing worse than big pieces with any hint of brown char. Opt for their crema and the eggs deliciously ooze out. I was the first in line on a weekday and there was still a 20-minute wait. So ordering online seems to be the optimal way. The counter person was very pleasant. The picture doesn't do it justice, but that's the best you get from an eating in the car experience. There are no tables.

A B.

Yelp
I just walked in and asked if the food was good at the guy working at the counter and if it was big portions and the guy working the cashier register said no food no good very small lol so we left the place was empty, and the guy genuinely seemed like he just thought it was disgusting

Yelp
I enjoyed my breakfast burrito with carne asada. I thought it was a pretty big burrito, I saved half of it for later. You're given the option of salsa rojo, verde, and another option that I forgot with your burrito. I enjoyed the verde salsa though it wasn't spicy, I wish it was, I'd definitely go again and try their other salsa! I got a Guava Jarritos to pair with my burrito. The ambiance was nice, they had good music playing and it wasn't too loud that you weren't able to have a conversation. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Tiva F.

Yelp
Ordered online for pickup and it was an estimated to take an hour. I received a text when it was ready for pickup and it was ready 15 minutes early! Pickup was a breeze. The orders were all well organized. We ordered El Número Uno and La Mision Suprema with guacamole and all the salsas. Perfectly delicious. We will return!

Saray B.

Yelp
This really surprised us! The flautas were the best I've ever had I think. So flavorful the tortilla was perfectly cooked just 10/10. This would be amazing for like a catered event or something too. Really good will be back.

JR S.

Yelp
Food was great, service was friendly. First time at the new location, got the breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised by size and quality- simple and delicious
google avatar

Robert C.

Yelp
A bit pricey for a burrito. It was a good (decent size) burrito. But was it a $15 burrito? Cute place.
google avatar

J M.

Yelp
We went on the second day that the brick and mortar location opened. Loved the food and I have been thinking about it since. We are both from Mexican American families in Southern California and I ordered the El Norteño burritos. Their size made me nostalgic for my early years because their size is what we would eat in SoCal. I ordered the ground beef and made sure that the staff knew it was because I crave it from being a kid, not because I'm a güera. We'll be back soon.
google avatar

Kareem A.

Yelp
I usually only eat half a burrito, but this carne asada is very tasty and light. The tortilla is also great, thin, which makes it so I can't stop eating. Super excited to have a great burrito place in the neighborhood. The folks at the takeout window were nice and they put out some benches where folks can sit. I'm definitely coming back for the chicken tinga. Make sure to order ahead of time, they had a long wait.
google avatar

Yelp
Best burrito I've have in Portland so far, and I've tried many! I had the "a huevo" burrito for breakfast, (originally wanted to try the burrito with chilaquiles but it was sold out). It's the perfect ratio of eggs, potatoes, and chorizo ( chorizo had great flavor!), and poblano. It was the right portion, other burritos are too big and overstuffed. I also tried the horchata, and it was delicious! Sweet and refreshing at the same time, reminded me of the aguas frescas from Oaxaca. Overall well seasoned food (other places seem to be afraid of salt for some reason), right portion, and the extra offerings are tasty also. I look forward to trying the burrito with chilaquiles next time! Edit: I tried the chilaquiles burrito! So f*****g good!
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
This place deserves more than three stars. We've ordered more times than I can count, and it's always been fantastic. They use high-quality ingredients, and their queso is outstanding. My only complaint is that they close too early; by the time I'm ready for a beer and a burrito, they're already shutting down.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
These burritos are PACKED with flavor!!! One of my new go-to places. The carnitas are crispy and juicy as heck.
google avatar

Cole K.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place! I noticed a few weeks ago that they opened up in this location, and this evening I finally gave it a try. I walked in and the women at the register was super helpful and nice. She immediately told me that I came in on the perfect day since they have readjusted their menu prices, so I of course was excited about that. I ordered the La Mission Suprema with chicken and also a bean a cheese burrito. At New Mexican restaurants I try, I always like to try a few burritos to see how they are (plus, I was starving too!). I asked about their cheese sauce and she told me it's best to have it on the side, which was a good tip. I signed up for their rewards program which was great and they were super nice checking me out. I only waited less than 10 min and the food was ready. I got home to eat it and it did not disappoint! The burritos were grilled a bit and the ingredients in each burrito were amazing. She even gave me all of their hot sauces and was honest when I asked her how hot it was and she said probably a 7/10 - so it was for sure good! I never like hot sauce to be too spicy (I can handle the heat though!) so this was a good amount. I will for sure be coming back to this place for food going forward and even told her next time, I'm excited to try their breakfast burrito on the menu! I think what's cool to see is how a lot of the reviews on this restaraunt were based on their high prices (and in this day and age, it's worth noting even being in downtown Portland!), and this establishment took the time to respond to reviews and most importantly, change the prices! Kudos and cheers to them for wanting to make this change. I promise, it will go a long way for them for sure! I would absolutely put this Restaurant OVER Mayas Taqueria right down the street. Mayas' burritos are not good really, whatsoever and fall apart right away. I've been there 4 or 5 times and it's over hyped to say the least. So, please give Los Burros Supremos a try!

Maxwell G.

Yelp
Love this place! Always stopping by for lunch. The norteno is my favorite because I can take the second one home with me and have it later!
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
I really liked this place, and that's coming from a southern Californian. The chilaquiles burrito was a big hit with my husband, and I enjoyed my breakfast burrito a lot. Next time I'll try adding a protein like chorizo, but for the price it's a great breakfast burrito. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Also, the space is really comfortable and cute. Definitely recommend!

Dee L.

Yelp
They broke my heart! I ordered a number one which comes with queso and I added lime crema, but neither were on my burrito when I opened it after getting home. I was too sad to eat my dry burrito. I am sad. Sad burrito.
google avatar

Zachary L.

Yelp
Honestly, the hype is right. This place isn't that good for the food and the price. I hate to write a bad review but it's just missing the mark on so many different levels. The Agua De Jamaica had literally zero flavor. It was just colored water. The spicy Guajillo and Mexican chocolate cookie had no discernible spice but was good for a chocolate cookie. As for the burritos, they were alright but not $12-$17 dollars good. If you are gonna charge that much and up charge for guacamole at least spread it out, lots of stuff was pooled onto one end. My partner thought they forgot the Guacamole but it was all on the very bottom. The Tejano style queso was ok and I am not sure if it's intended to be that thin but you couldn't really get much on a chip when dipping since it was so liquidey. Then like a week or two later I saw a charge on my credit card and I was like "Woodsman Tavern"?!?!? What the heck? Then it clicked and I was like oh yeah the burrito place, but I used to work at the Woodsman many years ago, so weird just update the POS.
google avatar

Jessie S.

Yelp
We tried this place because Sahuayo Taqueria was closed. This is a burrito window. Despite that, like others have said the prices are surprisingly hefty ($17 plus 10% mandatory gratuity...despite zero service happening) and the burritos are small. My partner and I were both hungry and annoyed after eating our burritos. Using quality ingredients isn't an excuse since there was barely any meat in the burritos and other than that, just beans with a bit of cheese. Two stars because the burritos arn't awful but definitely not as good as los Gordita's and Sayhuayo Taqueria. I'd pick any food truck around before coming back and maybe even Taco Bell.

Laine L.

Yelp
I got the breakfast burrito and it was absolutely delicious! Very flavorful with the poblanos and eggs complemented by the generous amount of cheese. I got the salsa picante and it had a nice kick to it! I would definitely get food from here again, the prices are very affordable and it was a big burrito. I ordered on uber eats and I got the buy one get one burrito free so now I have multiple meals and all for only $10!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Yea the food was pretty good. Unfortunately you order from a kiosk and the kiosk adds a mandatory "service fee" and then asks for gratuity on the next screen. It is a setup in a pretty predatory fashion as the two charges are on different screens and it isn't really clear what the "service fee" is going towards as nobody is serving you and you are ordering from a KIOSK. Ridiculous, forced tip at a place with no service, and on top they aren't clear about what it is and then asks for additional tip. My carne asada burrito ended up being almost $20 and they should have tipped me. Taking advantage of your customers is not the way to succeed
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
Well, if you're looking for the perfect place to experience the ultimate disappointment wrapped in a tortilla, look no further. Their burritos are a masterpiece of minimalism, with fillings so sparse, you'll wonder if they're on a diet. And don't even get me started on the prices - it's like they're charging you for the privilege of breathing their air! But wait, there's more! They've generously added a 'service fee' to your bill, because apparently, the act of serving you with a straight face is worth an extra charge - and this is without table service, you order cafeteria style and return to counter to get your food. So, if you enjoy paying a premium ($18 for a Carne Asada Burrito with Guacamole + "Service" Fee) for the joy of chewing mostly tortilla, this place is a must-visit. Bon appétit! Take 5 minutes to walk to La Jarocha down the block

Stephan C.

Yelp
Gotta give credit when it is due. I don't review often, but when I saw the relatively poor reviews I realized I had to jot some things down in order to ensure this place receives its proper praise. The breakfast burrito that I got, with its crisp potatoes, delicious eggs, and melty cheese, was amazing and served as an excellent vehicle for their on-point salsas. I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Pooja D.

Yelp
Great customer service at the register...but almost 20 bucks for a burrito? Not even an oversized one. Not even a standout one. Just a regular sized one with ingredients not really that outstanding. And I got the weekend burrito, was looking forward to the chilequiles throughout eating that burrito, and they were just smushed on one end. The Carne Asada I tried was good, but again for 20 bucks I could have indulged in a great little taqueira and had many more options.

Yelp
I've returned a couple more times, but these burritos just don't do it for me compared to other SE options. Bumping from 1 to 3 stars as at least the last couple of visits were an improvement over my first visit. Heres a rundown on what I tried in this last week: -- La Mision Suprema(both the Carnitas and Chicken Tinga) -- Barely detectable Lime Crema. Really screams for cilantro and onion to be added(but for some reason those aren't included in this burrito). Way too much cheese that comes in clumps. The Chicken Tinga stood out to me as being really well done here. The Carnitas was a bit dry & unremarkable. -- El Numero Uno(Steak) -- Steak was good & tender, but there was too much of it. And it just needs something else to make it special. Or accompaniments that accomplish that. The Numero Uno was supposed to have cilantro and onions. But again these were barely detectable. Frankly it could have used rice along with a lot more cilantro & onion. -- Overall -- The menu is disjointed to me. I find it frustrating that I can't add cilantro & onion to the La Mision Suprema. And that I can't add rice to the El Numero Uno. And that the ingredients, never seem to be well balanced/mixed in any variation. I don't agree with folks that its too small for the $. It's just not impressive enough for the $. Its plenty of food. To end on a positive. The tortilla is the real stand out here. Even when I'm not happy with the burrito contents. I find myself inhaling anyway because the tortilla is so enjoyable. So there's that ‍

Yelp
damn good burrito. i got the #1 with chicken. delicious. ill be back and often. its right across from the Mark Spencer so a short walk for a reasonably priced burrito/$13, if you are looking for a quick bite before exploring this beautiful city.

Yelp
Scale 1-5 Tortilla 5 Meat 3 Beans 4 Size 2 (I used to have a roomate when I lived in San Diego who had a burrito blog and this would easily be a 0-1 on his scale...but Portland hits different so I'll generously give a 2) Salsa 0 (none in burrito despite advertising both Roja and Verde in the burrito. None offered to compliment the burrito) Service 1 (unfriendly, clearly dislike their jobs) Value 2 $17 + tip for a burrito that will leave you needing more good after might fly in... nope doesn't fly. Overall 2/5. Wanted to love this. I truly feel like if they cared a little more this could be a 4/5. Clearly they have the know how and backing to make this Portlands best burrito, but were left with another subpar burrito.

Yelp
My order of 2 #2s. Supposed to have chicken, crema, salsa, queso blend, chicken. I ordered in person, they got my phone to text when it's done. Never got a text. I guess it's not working, so I had waited about an hour. I got 2 burritos mostly beans and rice. No salsa, very little chicken, no crema, some queso maybe idk. Look at the picture. Very dry not worth the $34 after tip. Will never go again.

I got the mission suprema with charred sweet potato and chips. First of all, the chips are not home made so don't waste your money on them and just get them from the grocery store. The burrito desperately needed onions and cilantro ( I thought it came with so I didn't add any but IT NEEDS IT). The "charred" sweet potato is not charred and is way too sweet for my liking. I thought the beans were ok and I liked that they toasted the tortilla. TLDR- Not worth $20.

Yelp
$26.20 for the 2# La Mision Suprema with chips and guac. This included $2.20 service fee and $2 tip. The burrito was good but overall greasy and dry. There were no salsas in the bag. The Guac was good, but the chips must have been store-bought. I wanted to like this but for the price I am very disappointed, and enough so that I had to log in and leave a review. The search for a good burrito in Portland continues!

Yelp
Surprised to see all these low reviews! I'm from California and yeah, these burritos are small compared to most, and still more expensive than average, and they have a salsa or two that doesn't do it for me...but I don't think the food here is really comparable to other spots. the sweet potato/poblano mix is great .. and I *hate* sweet potatoes. The carnitas and asada are probably the best I've had up here. The tortillas are perfection. Anyway...food is just expensive now. I do think the restaurant could work on ways to cut costs, maybe hew a bit closer to classics and consistency so people don't have to commit to a "burrito concept" when ordering. They do the essentials (tortilla, meat, beans, salsa) well enough that I don't think a menu of a bunch of unique burritos adds much to the strength of their offerings. If they can cut costs by cutting a menu item or two they probably should. And you all should probably give this place another shot.

Yelp
Me and my partner went here recently. We were really excited. They told us it would be a 20 minute wait so we sat in the car and waited for the text alert. Over 40 minutes went by and nothing. When we went to the door to ask for our food they told us with attitude "oh...it's right here." The burritos were good although small. Otherwise, it would be one star. It's crazy to charge that much for food, include a mandatory gratuity, make us wait over double our wait time and give us attitude with no apology when we ask for our food.

Yelp
We've tried the Mision Suprema and Breakfast Burrito and both were delicious and satisfying. I highly recommend ordering ahead online

Yelp
I had a carne asada #1 and will be back to try the breakfast burrito. This will be a repeat spot for downtown area. Prices are good considering the options to add proteins or not. Wish the salsa was spicier but flavor was on point.

Yelp
Saw this place on a foodies IG reel and knew I had to go. I ordered the mission with carne asada, with red and green salsa, queso with chips, and a Mexican coke. I waited for the order and drove home to eat. When I sat down to eat, the queso was really not that good. It was very thick and mealy like the roux was not cooked well before adding in the milk and cheese. When I picked up my order, my bag was stapled shut and I didn't see that they'd forgotten my salsa despite asking me when I ordered what type I wanted. It was a big mistake. The mission burrito with carne asada was a whopping $17. So I obviously assumed it was going to be a mission size burrito. I've had burritos on mission in sf- and I knew was to expect- so I was willing to pay the outrageous $17. It was not worth it. The burrito was midsize and when I took a bite it was full frijol de olla. With no flavor. I didn't taste any sour cream, or guacamole, not even the rice. I had 4 bites of the burrito that included carne asada and one of the bites almost took me out with a big chunk of gristle. I was pretty disappointed. I knew Portland has a good habit of gentrifying Mexican food but I wanted to give this place a chance. From a Mexican to yelp readers- there is better Mexican food and way better burritos at small hole in the wall places and food carts. Do not be fooled by places like this that charge obscene amounts for Mexican food- that is technically mostly rice and beans. You will find a better and less expensive burrito at chipotle, guaranteed.

Yelp
The meat was very tasty BUT burritos were small and dry. Also VERY expensive for what you get. Hoping they'll be able to level up once the restaurant is in running order. It's not authentic mexican but if you're looking for an alternative to los gorditos down the street, this is yr place.

Yelp
Ordered through doordash for the first time and omg this is one of my new fave burrito and dip spots!! I truly do not understand what the bad reviews are on about, it was amazing quality, hefty size for the price, great balance of flavors and ingredients. Also got the chips and guac which were lovely and I'm very excited to try the other dips in the future. Will absolutely be ordering from here much more often!!!
