Los Habaneros

We visited Los Habaneros for dinner for the first time and were greeted so warmly. All I can say is WOW to the chips and salsa, and the other authentic dishes we tried. There is a fresh masa quesadilla that was unlike anything we've seen before and it was wonderful. We will definitely return.

Super clean, fast friendly service, delicious food! My husband and I dined in at the restaurant, and decided to try a little of this and a bit of that. We were pleased! We can safely say, the Alpastor street tacos, the fish taco, green chicken tamal, carnitas street tacos, ado adobada street taco, chorizo loaded tacos and Taco Alambre were all a great option! The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty, as were the 3 sauces brought to our table. Overall, another great restaurant to add to the list, and several gluten friendly options!

We came to this restaurant on a whim, after hearing someone say their food was good… it’s more than good, PHENOMENAL is a better description. Service was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Los Habaneros is our favorite local Mexican restaurant! We’ve tried a lot of different places, but nothing compares. I brought my family who live in CDA to try their food and we can confidently say it’s best Mexican food we’ve had since moving from the Central Valley in CA. 10/10 would recommend. :)

I cannot be happier with the service the food and just the environment in general. Staff is all smiles and serving. Food is authentic, you can taste the real mexican season! Made few special request that i was craving and they did. Thank you guys its a little hug from back home <3

Visiting Spokane, WA from Arizona I wasn't expecting much from the Mexican food restaurants here. Spokane's adjacent to the Canadian border so maybe there's good poutine and moose burgers (is that a thing?) around, but Mexican food??? How wrong I was!!! We found this place on Yelp and it looked like a winner...4.7stars and right next to our hotel. We dined on a Saturday night and the place was packed...we got the last open table. I really loved the decorations inside- colorful, festive, and some really neat Dia De Los Muertos styled paintings. Our server was great and went through the menu...lots of selections. I wasn't super hungry so I got 3 street tacos (1 al pastor, 1 carnitas and 1 tinga). My son got an al pastor quesadilla and my wife got pollo tacos. The chips and salsa were good and held us over until the food came. When the food came they also brought out 3 more salsas in squeeze bottles and all of these were great too. All 3 of my street were very flavorful and all incredibly tender. Sometimes chicken and carnitas can be pretty bland but not here...these were exactly what I was looking for. My family loved their food as well and we left wishing we had a Los Habaneros Taqueria back in AZ! When I was paying for our meal at the cashier several people were picking up to go meals and heard we were from AZ visiting and both parties said we found the best spot in Spokane for Mexican food. I don't doubt them for a minute...this was dynamite.

Has been one of the most flavourful Mexican Food in the area by far. I will recommend this restaurant as they stay true to the flavors of my Mexico. The service was great. The ambiance has a theme and its very cool. You should check them out. Their Avocado Sauce with the chips was very good.

The food was overall solid and we enjoyed the restaurant but don't think we'd be back as there are other, tastier options in Spokane. Seemed somewhat authentic and large portions but no depth of flavor.

We just finished having fun at Greenbluff, though most attractions were closed after Halloween, when my son found Los Habaneros on Yelp. So we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Delicious menudo for me, with plenty of onions and cilantro, some delicious tacos for my son and delicious ceviche and shrimp tostada's for my wife. All topped off with a delicious horchata. We were so glad we found it. The only problem is, I had diarreah after eating the menudo. I'd still give it one more shot, it was so delicious, but if it happened again, that would be it.

Best Mexican food in Spokane!!! They also cater and do an incredible job! Their salsas are awesome too.

Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Very nice decor while also feeling very "hole in the wall." Service was attentive and the kitchen seemed in good spirits. The food was very good. I had the fish taco and it had a good mix of sweet mango and spicy kick. The rice was almost sweet. The beginning chips were warmed and salsa was just spicy enough without being too much. Definitely may stop in again.

Found this gem courtesy of a FB group. I've been there twice nice within the past week. Quesabirria tacos were a little sweeter than I'm used to, but solid! Got some pupusas--thick and full of yummy deliciousness! Came back a week later with my son who was visiting from out of town. He got the ceviche and really liked it, but he loved the michelada! I got the taco salad--filled with tons of stuff! Carnitas were good, but could be a little more seasoned. Use the green salsa--made it perfect! Taco shell could be crispier, a bit chewy. Their chips and salsa are delicious! Light, tender chips, salsa with flavor but not too hot. Our other company got the carne asada chimichanga and loved it. I'll be back and bringing all of my out of town visitors. Next I'll try the menudo--seems pretty pricey, but if it's as big as that salad and as tasty as everything else, seems like it will be worth it!

Love the chicken burrito and chicken Tinga. They have pretty yummy chips too. This is our go to for Friday night burritos. They have pretty good salsa too. Best all around sit down Mexican food in the northside. P.s their salsa is actually pretty legit.

I saw some great comments on this place and so we had to try it. The service was super good, the street tacos were great and there are many more things I want to try on the menu. I am sure it's all going to be good. The feel of the restaurant is nice,.

Visiting family and came across this place on Yelp so we thought we'd give it a shot! Got the Pescado and Birria House Special tacos along with a few street tacos and beans and chips. Loved everything. The bean dip was a little runnier than I'm used to but the flavor was delicious. The woman that helped was great and gave me some recommendations when I asked and were very happy with them! Will definitely be coming back to try more items next time I'm in town! The only con was I knew where I was going and it was still hard to find. Everything else in the buildings by it have big signs at the top of their place and here it's just on a window so it was a bit hard to find. But I know where to go now!

It's hard to hate the world when you're full of food this good. We had several people in the house with personal crisis this week, and the food here cured all our situation depression, lol. Excellent prices. Best Mexican food in Spokane, hands down. If you've never had birria, I suggest you do yourself a favor and have a birria taco or four from here immediately. The space is clean and cute. The people are wonderful. Do it; Eat here.

Best chips and salsa in town...fresh and hot chips. Birria tacos are my favorite. I also love the fish tacos and the chimichanga. Everything we've tried is great. This is a true gem. This is a welcome find for someone who got spoiled with Mexican food while living in Arizona.

What an amazing place with delicious food, great staff and cute little place. Los Habaneros is a place you probably wouldn't see passing by, as their location is rather "hidden" and their signs don't really pop out to an eye; you really have to look for it and I hope owners would upgrade them for more business they deserve. I've randomly stumbled upon this place place as I've been trying to find a Mexican restaurant that isn't big, yet has everything you'd expect from it. Found it on Google and decided to give it a shot and got hooked ever since. My review may be biased because 99% of a time I get the same food (quesadillas with chicken and steak mixed together. Seriously, try it!), but from what my girlfriend tried and my friend that I took with me before, everyone had a great expletive and enjoy their food. Each time I've been there, food was always A+. Very fresh, full of ingredients and deliciousness. Los Habaneros don't fuck around and it shows! PS: as of recently they started serving beers and cocktails, so enjoy!

Amazing service, easy to order and reasonable prices. Best fish taco i've ever had. The portion was good for $6 it was worth it. It would be even better if had bar style seating but nonetheless the atmosphere was great.

This is a place that I've driven past a bunch of times and never went in. I regret all those times I drove past it. Amazing food! The Birria is out of this world as well as their Carnitas. My wife had fish tacos and said they were some of the best she's ever had. The servers were super helpful on answering questions and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We will definitely be coming back again.

I gave up on Mexican food out here in Washington but I kept hearing about this place. Right when you walk in there's a sticker saying it's Latina woman business owned so I was really excited. Really nice and clean place you walk In order then sit anywhere you like. Customer service was excellent from both the girl who took our order and server. Once I saw the salsa and chips I knew it was going to be good. My partner ordered mole enchiladas and a tamal she loved it. I got pastor tacos and birria quesadilla tacos with consome. It was so delicious they had 3 different types of salsa and it was actually delicious as well as their sweet Jamaica. Definitely will be back this is actually authentic Mexican food. Will be trying new things so glad we tried it.

I have been here a1/2 dozen times and the food is great!!!i usually have the fish tacos which have a good amount of fish served on 2 tortillas, today I had a pork tamale, it was excellent as well prices are very reasonable and service is excellent as well , best Mexican restaurant in Spokane ....

This place is just a little different than most. It's a order at the counter, find a table, and then they bring you a higher quality meal than what you might be expecting. First things first... LH is situated just a couple of doors down from Mac Daddys. I mention this because there is no sign on the building or even on the front door as to what it is. Inside there are several tables/chairs and no booths. It's a bit sparse but they do have a rather large tv that was playing one of the more recent Marvel movies. There are menus shown here on Yelp and they hand those to you at the counter. There are many more choices however, and those are on the board behind the counter. We went with chorizo nachos minus onions and chicken flautas. For the nachos they put the pico de gallo on the side as it had onions and then they topped the nachos off with fresh made guacamole sans onions, which they just did to make a happy customer. Nice touch. I was hungry and thought I could put away any nachos on this evening. Not so much. They were very large and filled throughout with meat, cheese, and fixings. The meat was clearly very fresh and seasoned perfectly. I am told the same went for the flautas. Noticeably fresh and tasty meat in a perfectly crisped wrapper. Seriously good food. Drinks are by bottle only, including water. They did give us a cup of ice to go along but it would be nice to have refillable soda or at the very least a self serve water station so you didn't have to purchase another bottle every 12oz. Pricing is also a bit steep for a non-sit down service stop. Our meal set us back about $35. Just because the food quality is so high, we'll defiantly be back for more. Well worth a try in my opinion.

My other half and I have been coming here at least twice a month (sometimes three times lol) for the last year. The staff are always so friendly and the food is always a 10/10. The quality and freshness of the food paired with such an attentive staff makes for the perfect place to sit down and eat. We love it here, and so will you!!!!!!

I went in for dinner, as I was ready to order I asked for some chips and salsa, I was told that there would be a charge for them, I thought are you kidding me, I've never been to a Mexican restaurant before and paid for chips and salsa, I'm going to buy a large dinner combination and you still want to charge me for the chips? I put the menu down and walked out and drove across the street and had dinner at the Azteca Mexican Restaurant a very good meal and free chips and salsa.

Wow I can't find enough good words to say about this place! Finally found good enchiladas and a place that serves amazing Al Pastor! My husband got the Birria Ramen and WOW! The ambience brought me back to colorful Cabo and it just was all so fresh and good service too even with the party of 12 that came in!

Mary and I stopped in here for the first time, for dinner last night. The establishment is clean and bright; friendly, helpful staff at the counter. Mary ordered the fish taco, and I had the beef tortas; grilled French bread filled with beef, beans, mayo, melted cheese, tomatoes, onions, and avacado, this sandwich was delicous as was the fish taco. You should get in here and give this place a try.

I had the mangolada and the chocolate flan so yummy!! The flan was still warm and so so so good lol. Worth the drive from the south hill! I want to try their food next!! It's nice and open not a lot of signage so keep your eyes open when trying to find it!!!!

Oh my gosh. Real Mexican food like I'm use to! This place did not disappoint. We were greeted at the counter to order and sat at a table in the restaurant. The walls are painted bright red and the decorations are just like in Mexico! I was disappointed at first that chips and salsa were not given with a meal - they are $4- but worth every penny. Chips were fresh and hot. Salsa very good with lots of flavor. If you want more heat to your dish there are three home style salsas that come in squeeze bottles to your table. I had Huevos Rancheros (not on the menu but made for me). My daughter had Carne Asada Sopes that were delicious. Please go and enjoy. I'll be back many times for sure.

Omg! This place was fantastic. They truly bring an authentic flavor of Mexico. The birria was phenomenal, the pescado taco was an absolute beast and was so flavorful and amazing. We got a couple tacos each and were so amazed, that we had to order some tamales to go. The service was fantastic as well. They were super attentive and helpful. Very accommodating. We were the only ones in at the time and they let our son watch whatever he wanted on Netflix. Very family friendly. The ambiance reminds me of taquerias across the country and Mexico. Hands down the best Mexican food I've had in Spokane.

Food was good. Friendly service but a they were a little disorganized when we were there, some people were there before us and still hadn't gotten their food when we were about done. Probably not the best place if you're in a hurry but I would recommend giving it a try.

I'm from California. I've been to many Latino restaurants, Mexican, Salvadoran, Guatemalan, etc. This is good food. Definitely check it out. I ordered the chile relleno plate, comes with rice, beans, and tortillas. And an orchata. Orchata was a bit sweet, but was fine with all the ice. Ate it too fast to take a pic. Yum.

This place slaps SO HARD. Authentic flavors, killer selection of dishes, and outstanding prices. SoCal native found the O.G. Flavors here. Get some. 10/10

I come here weekly, and am never disappointed in their quality of service, and food. My favorite things to get are the red chili tamal, carne asada tacos, Gorditas with carne asada, and the chicken flautas. Every person I have brought has confirmed that they too, love the food. It's hard to find a truly authentic Mexican restaurant, but I think it's safe to say that this place is it for me. And that is coming from someone who grew up in a traditional Mexican home and city. This place is AMAZING!

Service is as great as the food!! If you are looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further!! Not only is it delicious but reasonably priced. The only draw back is it doesn't have a full bar, serving beer & wine only, along with soda.

My group and I went here for lunch, we were pleasantly surprised. Our group is from Los Angeles and didn't know what to expect. This place is authentic guys Our group ordered the quesa birria taco with consome, pescado (fish) tacos, and al pastor taco. I'd definitely come back and eat here again.

Not your typical Mexican restaurant. I'm kind of confused as to if we are supposed to order at counter or at the table. The guy gave us menus and told us to pick a seat and he would come take our order in a few minutes. The food was very delicious and the service was pretty good.

Excellent. Perhaps the best place in town for Mexican, though there are a couple alternatives. As far as the north side goes though this place is fabulous and not hugely expensive. I'm a huge fan, love their burritos, it's all good!

Came here with friends who heard good things and they were not wrong. I had three enchiladas that were delicious - the shredded beef is the best! My wife had the cecina taco (with cactus) that she loved as well. This is well worth a visit for some authentic Mexican food and we will definitely be coming back.

We have been here a handful of times now and I have not been disappointed! Their chips and salsa are great! We have also ordered the queso, the guac and you literally cannot go wrong either way. The birria, the burrito, and street tacos are all amazing. I am partial to the cheese birria tacos. I love them! My husband likes the burrito! He gets carne asada in it. Its pretty big!

The hubs & I saw this place on a Facebook post & had to try! They did not disappoint. I have their birria tacos & consume with onion's & cilantro, hubs had one of each of their street tacos, beef, chicken, pork & chorizo! He had a Fanta in the bottle & I the manognada!! SOOOO GOOD!!! Super nice staff, clean restaurant and it was very quiet! A great place for amazing taco lunch!!!

Got the street tacos with chips & salsa, food was amazing. The birria is so tender & juicy. The workers were very kind and even wrote a sweet message on our to-go box. Highly recommend & will be returning for more!

This is a must eat at place. Genuinely love the food, and have consistently been greeted with excellent customer service. I crave the Alpastor tacos, but all the tacos there are delicious. Their burritos are no joke delicious too, but be hungry, that's a lot of food! Also, this place is clean and comfortable, earning all stars.
