We have recently went to the restaurant and got seated down. it took a few minutes, then we got seated down and the owner got us chips and salsa we then ate them all, we asked for another batch, he then said “ok” bold, the food took a while and we were starving we then asked again and he looked at us and just walked away. we asked for a to go for a cheeseburger and we got it and left, as soon as we got home we opened it and it was the wrong order. we then had to drive all the way back and asked if he could do anything and he then said a solid no. he could’ve at least tried to do something but he really wasn’t friendly at all, I really do not recommend going here, the owner is very disrespectful

Google
Good option for Mexican food in Sioux Falls. It's a family run business that takes service and food seriously. They provided accommodations for my girlfriend who's vegetarian. They had a nice chat with us as well. It's never too busy, the food is made well and fairly priced, the service is friendly. What more can you ask for. We will be back.

Google
Outstanding Mexican. Far superior to the usual Jackys, mama's, etc. recommendation in Sioux Falls. Is it the nicest place? No probably not. The services is friendly and prompt. Papusas are a must.

Google
So I asked what the price was and he said 24$, I checked my bank statements and he charged me 35$ for 8 pupusa.Unnecessary to overcharge, I loved coming here as a child but this experience may have changed that!

Google
Their pupusas are the best! I've been coming here for over 10 years and they never disappoint.

Google

Google
Food was amazing, pupusas were so delicious, horchata on point, empanadas de leche we're so good! I'll be coming back!

Google
Best chips and salsa in town, I would buy it in jars, plus wonderful, huge pupusas, but just don't expect the best service or easy to find parking.

Yelp
The pupusas are amazing, and the service is always friendly. I've never had better, more unique salsa.

Yelp
The food is fantastic, the service is great, a little loud when the place is packed. I guess that comes form the great food and service.

Yelp
The food was delicious but the service was slow. The ambiance and back parking lot was less desirable. However, I must reinforce that my enchilada menu was top notch!

Yelp
As a Mexican born in Mexico and raised in Cali. I think you can take my review honestly. This place is awesome. The pupusas are great. The tamale de elote is great too. My friend has had their tortas and liked them. I had their enchiladas and wouldn't order again. The sauce wasn't authentic. The beans aren't the greatest either. Their horchata isn't good, tastes artificial. Their service can be slow with bringing out the food but they're nice. I think overall what I enjoy is their thoughtfulness of remembering my order how I like it. I do recommend this place but wouldn't order the things I have listed to not order.

Yelp
Really great food. Best food I've had in South Dakota since moving here 6 months ago. Everything was really fresh and flavorful. The staff was very friendly too!! We felt like it was really low priced also. Can't wait to come back :-)

Yelp
Stopped in to try based on suggestions. I live on the west side of town so this is generally out of the way but YES it was worth it! I lived in Phoenix and Dallas for over 20 years and know how these plates should be but the staff was very polite and cheerful so that get's the 5-stars. You have to try the Quesadillas. Get the one with everything on it. A complete meal you will have to take home for leftovers. You can tell the owner puts emphasis on the quality of the food, not the quantity. This should no longer be a "best kept secrete" in town. Try it and you will be sold!!

Yelp
I've been eating here for over 20 years authentic street tacos best in town best salsa and Pupusa's mixed my favorite if you never tried one that's what I would try

Yelp
This is the real deal. Came on a vacation from Los Angeles so I like to think I know a thing or two about Mexican food and Los Paisanos ranks amongst the best of them. Their chorizo and egg breakfast is delicious and authentic and their pupusas have a crunch that I've never had in a pupusa before. Sioux Falls is lucky to have a restaurant as great and as authentic as Los Paisanos located within.

Yelp
Went specifically to satisfy a pupusa craving. We ordered 4 different kinds, a couple of each. All were tasty but the bean and cheese pupusas were MUCH better than the others! The bowl of slaw that comes with them is delicious, but the bottle of hot sauce is the true star. We doused everything in it. I loved the decor- plants and family photos and bright walls. Our service was great- a bit forgetful but heck, who isn't? We'll be back soon!

Yelp
Idk why this place has 5star's it should be 1. The food is super salty even the the salsa is salty!! I order the soap Apia and that was horrible ... like how can you really mess that up?!!! Feel ripped off!!

Yelp
This place is awesome. Delicious food, friendly staff. A must try for both visitors to town and locals alike. Some of the best Hispanic food I have had anywhere!

Brenda K.

Yelp
This is great place. We are from Houston, TX so know our Mexican food! We had mixed fajita plate & was delicious. Had beef, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms; came with rice, beans. You should try! Nice service

Yelp
I would venture to say this is the best Mexican in town. The parking can be a little difficult in the back but the food is authentic. Not only do they have traditional Mexican dishes but they also have traditional meat options. That being said, they also have great vegetarian options as many Mexican restaurants in the orea do not. I will definitely be back, my new go to!

Yelp
The place was dirty. Food all over the floor. Tables had not been bused at all. The staff was NOT friendly at all. The Chili Colorado was not true Chili Colorado. We are from West Texas where there is true Asado. Would not recommend to anyone! Over priced and poor quality.

Yelp
Since moving to So Dak I have dined at tons of Mexican restaurants and have put up with sub par food in search for that true Latin flavor. I've googled my fingers away, followed friends' recommendations, and always end up disappointed. My search is over. This is it people. This is it. In this part of the country this is a close as I'm going to get. Get a tostada de asada and smile because it's $3 and the size of my toddler's head. You can pick it up in all it's glory and bite into it. None of that soggy mess that breaks before you touch it or that looks like a taco salad on top of a taco bell shell. Their tostadas are TRUE. Try a pupusa de revuelta "con todo". With that cabbage slaw...yum. Their tacos are awesome. The flavor is there. Their free chips and salsa are fresh. Their prices are on POINT. Their kids under 10 menu at $3ish per meal is a deal. Haven't tried their burritos but they look legit. Note: Their torta de milanesa was good but the meat was under-fried so a little soggy. Just ask them to fix that. There's a little Latin market right behind it. Pick up some specialty items, candy, or homemade tamales to go for $2 each. WARNING: Previously 5 stars but had to lower my rating due to issues with my bill. They do not itemize your purchases so the receipts only show you the final total. I have a big issue with this. On THREE occasions we have been over charged by around $10+. The first couple of times it happened I figured I added things up wrong. On our last visit my gut told me something was up. I confronted the waitress and she looked very nervous and brought me back cash. She said she rang me up for 2 of something else and apologized. However, the math did not add up no matter how you looked at it, even if what she told me was true. It appears some of the waitresses here are charging extra and stashing the surplus as tips. Which is sad, because I bet the owner has no idea. Moral of the story- write down the prices for everything and pay attention.

Yelp
I lived in California for 30 years and have been in South Dakota for the last two. I know a thing or two about good Hispanic food. Los Paisanos is the real deal. This is by far the best Hispanic/Mexican food I've had in South Dakota, and easily on par and better than many places I've had in southern California. Well priced, good sized portions, and friendly staff. This place is delicious, a hidden must try, very authentic. The Lengua tacos are awesome, and the papusas are fantastic.

Yelp
We went since it had a 5 star rating but was really disappointed. Everything is overpriced and the service is terrible. Place was dirty and food www not what it's hYped to be. I wouldn't recommend it sorry save your money.

Yelp
Literally my favorite place! I'm such a picky eater, but their beef tacos taste so good! I genuinely do not branch out, but I always go with my parents who get different menu items (including soups and other things), and they're always impressed as well. Customer service is great, we frequently see the owner, and he often stops and talks to us. Also, have to add that the chips and salsa are superb. Does not compare to Jacky's or Nikki's, this is the place to be at.

Yelp
I am a big fan of authentic tacos and Los Paisanos delivers in spades on that front. As you would expect in a town and state known for its great meat, the beef and pork here are phenomenal. They also have great pupusas (authentic Salvadoran dish) and the platanos are great as well. All in all this was a very pleasant surprise for Sioux Falls. If you are skipping this place to go to Taco John's or Taco Bell you are Doing It Wrong.

Yelp
This is my probably my absolute favorite restaurant in SF. This is the best Hispanic food you'll find in town. Don't settle for the other places around here that Americanize their food to the point that you're eating glorified Taco Bell. Stop in here for the real deal.

Yelp
I have been here 5 or 6 times and can only speak to the tacos, but they are easily the best in Sioux Falls. Meat is hot, tortillas are crispy, and unlike most other places in SFSD they have lengua. Price is right, and I look forward to trying the recommendations of the previous reviewer on future visits.

Yelp
Visiting Sioux Falls first time on decade and saw the good reviews so thought we would give it a shot. This place is INCREDIBLE! Super staff, fabulous authentic food, more than generous portions (that is - ENORMOUS) - my 12 year old and I loved it. We had burrito and Camerones ala Diablo - so fresh & perfect spice! Must try - I don't rave about food often.
