"The sign outside of Marigny corner bar Lost Love Lounge came down in September, with owner Muriel Altikriti confirming its closure shortly after. It will be remembered as a true neighborhood bar — dark and lounge-y, with huge screens in both of its rooms, playing anything from football to old movies, and a kitchen that, despite frequently changing hands, always seemed to pump out solid food ranging from Vietnamese to Mexican to cheesesteaks. Altikriti’s equally-loved Arabi bar, Pirogue’s Whiskey Bayou, remains open." - Clair Lorell

"Dark and divey and popular with locals, it’s easy to get lost at Lost Love Lounge, one of Eater’s favorite bars. It serves the classic, Jeppsen’s, and fear not: this Marigny corner bar also has a kitchen in the back that currently rotates between a Philly cheesesteak menu (called Brotherly Love) and hosting pop-ups twice a week that have recently included Indian, vegan, and barbecue." - Paula Echevarria

"When you want to stop somewhere for cheap drinks and late-night Vietnamese food, go to Lost Love Lounge. This bar is as divey as it gets and whether you head here from Frenchmen or before going to Mimi’s nearby, it’s a great place to refuel with some pho or a banh mi before finishing off or continuing on with your night. They also have video poker and a pool table, in case you’re looking for activities besides just drinking while you wait for your food." - Team Infatuation

Tops the list of my favorite neighborhood bars in the Marigny. Atmosphere is usually faily chill and chatty on the part of the locals and regulars, though it can get pretty roqdy during soccer matching and Saints games (obviously). Sunday nights people will gather to catch the latest episode of current shows, and that can get a bit crowded and load as well. Decent drink prices and some lovely Vietnamese food in the back kitchen--the tamarind tofu is a MUST TRY for all veggies!

I've been in funky bars across the USA. I was here during the day and I still had an awesome time. The bartender that day was Jason and he was friendly, cool, and played awesome music for chilling, hanging, and dancing. Food with simple bar food but also: good!

They put on good shows weekly with plenty of entertainment. You will never be disappointed. The beer is cold and the staff is always friendly. The mixed drinks are reasonably priced. And the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Now the food has taken a turn. It's not as authentic as it once was. No one wants to eat cool phó.

I didn't like the chicken pho I got. There was no flavor to the chicken, and the only flavor to the broth was cinnamon which was weird. I ordered it to go and when I got home discovered a dead roach with my green onions. Definitely never gonna eat here again. The bar seems cool though.

As dive bars go, this is exactly what you want. The bartender was a friendly, cool woman who played great music and had fun interactions with everybody in the bar area. The food from the adjacent room is Mexican (not Vietnamese as was posted) but still good and seems to be all homemade. Good prices, food and service all around.

My friend loved this place. He said the spice was right and he was excited about the ginger root in his raw beef phô. I on the other hand was take or leave it. Nothing impressive. Not bad , but not blown over. But I'm not a huge noodle soup fan. So, it would have taken a lot to impress me. The three is also, because the food is overpriced. I paid $11 for beef noodle soup in the back of a grudgy bar. I just don't see the value in that. Big ups to the Black girl taking orders. She was friendly, considerate and attentive.

I've been living in Vietnam and I know Vietnamese food very well. In general the taste of the food is good. BUT: The food would taste much better if it was not that that spicy. Vietnamese food is not spicy! Keep that in mind. Dumplings too spicy, bun too as well. Please change that and offer extra chilli instead.

I love the atmosphere. I used to come here regularly but have had a few negative experiences with the pho in the last year. Tonight, the broth was bland as if the beef bones didn't get to steep long enough. The bahn mi and dumplings are always great. I would just ask that you take more care on the pho process.
