My wife and I got married in August of 2021. It's all inclusive . They cover the venue , tables , chairs , napkins , plates , dj , photographer , daily wedding coordinator, bartenders, cater (food) , ceremony and reception can all be done at their location . Plenty of parking for guests and plenty of hotel options around the venue ( call around and asks about group rates if you don't like the hotel lot 8 suggest or works with ) biggest plus is it's BYOB which you can go to Costco and Load up on $1,000 worth of alcohol and it's plenty for a party size of 100 ppl . Also double check your contract , we paid for 1 security guard and after talking with multiple people nobody saw a security guard . I don't want to complain over $200 for a security guard but if it was in contract and we didn't see one , there's an issue . So definitely ask about that .
So I'll start with management and communication. We had regular contact between Julie and Mary that work for Epic Events which owns Lot 8 . I can tell that Lot 8 is there new purchase and they have more knowledge about the other locations they own and operate for weddings / events . Don't expect communication to be 100% . I am assuming they are working remotely because out of the 7-10 times we called the "work numbers " nobody picked up . 9am , 1030am , 1pm ,330pm didn't matter what time my wife and I never got anyone to ever pick up the phone . Emails are the only way you'll get a response and when you email someone in the morning they don't respond til the following day . (Plenty of emails to show proof for anyone that disagrees ) you will be the one reaching out for meetings , just letting you know . We had 2 different wedding coordinators assigned to us since our first one quit (4 weeks before the wedding, after we sat down with her and went over everything of what we expected ) and assigned us Jazmine . Ohhhh Jazmine , she's nice , but I will say she lives in the moment , and there's no urgency with her . Let me start a new paragraph for this
During the rehearsal Jazmine said we can drop off the coolers , ice (yes they don't provide ice so you'll have to buy it the day of ) alcohol and other props at 11am the day of the wedding . Starts at 4pm btw . We show up and nobody was there to open the venue . Myself , 4 other groomsmen are sitting ducks with all the items outside the venue . Keep in mind we have the photographer and videographer we hired showing up at 130 to start taking pics of us getting ready back at the hotel . Jazmine responds back through text after repeatedly calling her to get someone to open the venue . Time we left was 1230 . Great , an hour to get ready at the hotel .
My sister-in-law calls me and says the florist arrived at the venue and nobody is there to show her where to drop off the flowers and to let us know there was nobody there and no tables were out or set up , set up the vases and centerpieces (1245 pm) she left all the flowers on a side table . I contacted family members to show up at the venue at 2pm to see what the heck was going on over there . Jazmine arrived at 2pm the same time they got there . My aunts said nothing , NOTHING was set up . My aunts got to work and practically set up the entire venue themselves (yes Jazmine helped ) but my aunts had a ear full to tell me weeks later after the wedding . If they did not show up the venue would've not been complete. Do not trust Lot 8 to set up your Decor (even tho they give you a wedding coordinator????)
The good parts now :) photography team was incredible. We hired 2 photographers because we didn't want them to Miss a shot . They will set up a appointment through zoom and cover very thing from the first look to the end of the night with you . I highly recommend you start them early , take your first look photos and bridal party photos before the wedding . That way you can enjoy cocktail hour with family and friends ! The photography team was awesome . They are very responsive with emails and text messages
Now time for the Dj . He sets up a zoom video and goes over a timeline of what to expect and has you pick all the songs for certain parts ( first dance , money dance songs , first kiss , music during dinner , cocktail hour etc ) absolutely killed it !
Catering company eco catering : they set up a date for you to try everything. Chef nick did a excellent job . We went with the Italian cuisine . They were very responsive through emails .
In the end , the wedding turned out incredible. It was definitely a party to remember. For 100 ppl and everything I mentioned above you pay under $14,000 for a Friday night . (This doesn't include a 2nd photographer, videographer, your alcohol, ice , florist ) 2nd photographer cost around $400 to add to your package . I really wanted to give a 5 star review but between all the negatives I mentioned above they really deserve a 3 star and can work on the improvements above for future 5 star reviews
