Lot 45 is a vibrant lounge blending classic cocktails and small plates with a dynamic dance scene, offering cozy couches and a fun, inclusive atmosphere.
"There comes a time in the weekend where you must ask yourself a simple question: do I dance or do I not dance? If it’s a dancing night, consider Lot 45. This place is in a warehouse, so there’s enough space to actually dance like a person having a good time, instead of the shoulder isolation stuff that makes you look like a self-conscious teen at a wedding. As for the music, it’s usually something you know the words to. Sometimes there’s a cover, but you can just think of that as your $10-$20 charge for having a fun night." - Neha Talreja, Bryan Kim
"Lot 45 is the Bushwick equivalent of the Jane Hotel. It isn’t quite as put-together as the Jane (it’s more of a warehouse), but there are some couches and chandeliers and, on weekends, you can get some dancing done here. At night, there are DJs, with occasional themed dance parties. So if you’re looking for a place to get a little rowdy with a group but you don’t want to have to go to a Manhattan bar and deal with a line of half-drunk people who claim to know the DJ, try this place. Just be aware that there might be a cover." - bryan kim, katherine lewin, neha talreja, kenny yang
"For everyone missing concerts, this massive Bushwick bar (where, unfortunately to the bystanders present, we have danced many times) is hosting a slew of live DJs this weekend as part of their Dining & DJ program. The music starts at 7pm Friday, May 14th through Sunday, May 16th, and you can check out the lineup here. Reservations are available." - hannah albertine
"Think of Lot 45 as a rec room reborn as a bar: the open space is littered with mismatched, overstuffed couches that encourage drinkers to scope out the room. It’s a queer-inclusive space all week but it’s deeded over entirely to its LGBTQ+ customers once a month on Saturday night for Bad Habit, the hottest queer dance party in the city. It’s hosted by Hot Rabbit, party ringmasters who organize events around the city and book the performers. This particular party always features two DJs, as well as a smattering of burlesque entertainers and Pose-worthy voguers." - Mark Ellwood
