The cooking is based on the basic principle that dictated Eastern medicine — that food and medicine are essentially the same. Momoyama

"Momoyama is a sophisticated Japanese restaurant located on the 38th floor of Lotte Hotel Seoul. The kitchen team offers a wide selection of Japanese cuisine from the traditional yest refined haute cuisine kaiseki-ryōri, to sushi to the one-pot nabemono and even chazuke (cooked rice steeped in hot tea, dashi or hot water). The chef is especially meticulous with ingredients, which he personally procures directly from producers. Momoyama also has an impressive sake selection, selected by a sake sommelier." - Michelin Inspector

Lotte Hotel Seoul (Seoul, Korea) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Lotte Hotels & Resorts has grown to be the largest hotel group in Korea, but it all started at the flagship. Lotte Hotel Seoul, in a gleaming high-rise perfectly positioned near City Hall, about midway between Deoksugung Palace and the Myeongdong Cathedral, was the largest luxury hotel in Asia when it opened in the late 1970s; thanks to ongoing renovations and additions, it’s kept up with the times. Rooms and suites are every bit as refined as you’d expect of a five-star business hotel, with state-of-the-art technological features, luxe he:on beds, and sweeping views over the city below. A futuristic indoor pool and spa, plus a range of high-end bars and restaurants — including the glamorous Peninsula lounge, a modern Korean bakery, a sushi bar facing Bukhansan Mountain, and a Parisian-inspired cocktail bar — add to the appeal." - Tablet Hotels

Expensive, but thats to be expected. Especially in room dining and mini bar. More people use these if they are reasonably priced in my opinion. One thing bothered me. Having stayed in hundreds of 5 star hotels all over the world this is the first that has NO seating in the lobby. Even modest hotels have something. Others have lavish sofas, or boutique show pieces. Always . Always. So a family normally sits for a few minutes whilst dady checks them in at the reception desk. Or you wait for you visitor in the lobby... of course i dont want insult the management's intelligence-they know this too. So what is the reason behind this mystery? 🤔

I had a wonderful stay at Lotte Hotel Seoul. The room was very nice and comfortable, and the gym facilities were excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. The location is outstanding—walking distance to many shops and luxury brands, which made exploring the city very convenient. I especially enjoyed the lounge on the first floor; the atmosphere was amazing and the food there was truly delicious. Overall, a fantastic experience that exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!

Classy place. Location is very convenient. Staffs are polite, professional and amazingly helpful. All the restaurants in the property are high end. Their breakfast buffet has some of the best dishes in town. I can’t think of anything negative about this hotel. Flagship property of Lotte hotels and it didn’t disappoint. Looking forward to staying here again when I return to Seoul.

This was our second time at this hotel. The first time we stayed here was great! The room itself this time was decent but this happened over the week of our stay: 1. Our room was accessed even though we had "do not disturb On"; 2. Water bottles were repeatedly not stocked; 3. Coffee pods were strewn about on counter instead of in the holder; 3. Used cleaner's plastic glove was left on the floor; 4. A personal note from another room was left on the floor; 5. There was blood all over a pillow case on the bed; 6. Concierge was not helpful in booking tours and did not seem interested in assisting and no apology from the management. We paid a hefty price for an unexpected terrible service.

i was upgraded to a junior suite on the 34th floor and my view of Namsan was amazing! i loved watching the light change on the buildings after dark! ||the room was too large for me if i were traveling for personal reasons but for business it turned out to be perfect. i had a very large package delivered to me for review and the ample floor space allowed me to open the box and review everything easily. i also appreciated that they delivered the package to my room directly.||i didn't like the layout of the room. the desk and chair were in the middle of the space when you wanted to get around the bed. also, the bathroom left a lot to be desired. too many doors and too many lips of marble to trip over. the worst though was the cockroach that was in my shower the last morning. it climbed up the shower wall and fell down to the floor and drowned after my shower. i didn't feel really clean after that!||the bed though was SO comfortable! i had a great night's sleep after my long trip from California and my long day touring around Seoul.

I stayed on 5 night a tlotte Hotel , and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The warm hospitality not only made my stay comfortable but also left a long-lasting impression of the hotel's trustworthy and refined image. ||The room was spotless, the staff were exceptionally kind, and I’d gladly return on my next visit to Korea.||This stay stood out as a highlight of my Korean trip.

I had a wonderful stay at Lotte Hotel Seoul. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully appointed, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay.||I especially loved the aromatherapy pouch left on my pillow each night. It was such a calming touch that made winding down after a long day feel extra special.||The location is unbeatable, with easy access to shopping, subway lines, and cultural attractions. Breakfast was also impressive - I was in their Executive Tower. ||Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, elegant stay in central Seoul. I’d love to return!

We would highly recommend this hotel. It is located in the Mia-dong area, which is full of restaurants and entertainment venues (a bit touristy though), including many food stands lining some of the (pedestrian) streets at night. The hotel also is adjacent to Lotte Shopping center, for those that interested in shopping. You can also walk to the teleferique that will take you to the Namsan Tower, which offers amazing views of the city. Finally, the hotel is close to one of the metro stations, if you want to explore more of the city.||The guest services of the hotel are impeccable. The rooms are spotless clean and larger than the European ones (ie quite comfortable, but not huge) and if you get one in the high floors, the view is spectacular. Technologically the hotel and the rooms are very advanced, like many other things in Seoul.||Our room price did not include breakfast, but this was not a problem since we discovered an excellent french bakery in Mio-dong, 5 min from the hotel. The bakery had a great variety of pastries (all that we tried were delicious) and good strong espresso and cappuccino. The hotel also has a buffet breakfast for $45/person. It has an amazing variety, including western and korean food. You need to try it at least once!||We would recommend taking a guided tour through the palaces. We took the Small-Group Royal Palace and Seoul City Tour by Seoul N Tour - Day Tours and they were great. If you want to visit other places in the city, we would recommend Uber, which also works with the local taxi drivers.
