LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL

We stayed in a Deluxe Double Room on the 30th floor. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable artificial scent in the room, which initially seemed harmless. However, later that evening a strong, unpleasant odour emerged from the bathroom, reminiscent of stagnant water. The following morning, the issue became clear. The shower drain backed up, causing foul water to overflow across the bathroom floor and into the bedroom area. It was both unhygienic and deeply inconvenient, particularly as I had an early train to catch. I reported the matter to the lobby before leaving and was told to address it upon my return. Given the circumstances, this response felt inadequate. That evening we were moved to another room, which was less well appointed, and no meaningful apology or service recovery was offered. Aside from one positive interaction, staff were largely dismissive and unhelpful. For a hotel positioning itself as five-star, the experience fell significantly short. I would recommend looking elsewhere.

The Lotte Hotel in Seoul is truly excellent, offering world-class service and impeccable cleanliness throughout. I highly recommend opting for the Executive Tower, as it provides a significantly better and more exclusive experience compared to the Main Tower.The service, from check-in to departure, was outstanding. The only minor drawback we experienced was the breakfast buffet in the Executive Tower lounge, which was unfortunately just "so so." However, this small issue did not significantly detract from an otherwise five-star stay in the Executive Tower.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel at the end of our trip to Seoul. Location is perfect. Easy walking to countless attractions and neighbourhoods and is attached to the shopping mall. Airport bus picks up and drops off out front. The rooms were amazing and they have added so many little touches, box of charging cables, night time scents, electronic blinds, pillow concierge, bed side mat and slippers etc etc. The bathrooms are grand and have large walk in showers and soaker tubs. We had a walk in closet and separate seating area. The bathroom was the size of many other entire hotel rooms. The lobby is grand, as it covers two hotels towers. The hotel is spotless in rooms and common areas. All the staff we encountered were fabulous and went out of there way to help. Big shout out to the Front Desk team who were dealing with a difficult customer while we were checking in around 11pm. They handled it with grace and professionalism. Only knock was the pool area was a bit dated now and probably due for a refresh, this maybe in the works as that tower is being renovated when we were there. Would definitely stay again.

An exceptional stay in every sense. The service at Lotte Hotel Seoul is genuinely outstanding - attentive, thoughtful, and delivered with effortless grace. The location is unbeatable, placing you right at the heart of the city, yet the hotel itself feels calm, elegant, and beautifully considered throughout. The hotel is stunning, and the food was quite simply out of this world - every meal felt like a highlight rather than a routine. I honestly struggled to find a single fault. In a country where espresso macchiatos are not widely served in local coffee shops (not including the usual global chains), the barista at breakfast made one of the best double espresso macchiatos I’ve ever had, served in a heated cup. And the gym! Bigger than my local gym in London. The pool is stylish and relaxing, and the spa is truly an exceptional experience! If anything captures the level of care, it’s this: I accidentally left behind a cashmere top, and although it wasn’t found in time for my departure, the hotel immediately arranged to have it sent back to me. That kind of service and attention says everything. A truly memorable stay — I wouldn’t hesitate to return

This was our first trip to Seoul and we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. The staff and the amenities were 1st class. And Keith at the Peninsula Lounge & Bar was an ambassador to both the Lotte and his country. He was friendly, professional and he helped us to get some of the best fried chicken in Seoul. All around a memorable experience.

Great hotel in a great location. There are complementary facilities you can use including a gym, pool and spa. The service is good and staff are friendly. The rooms were well maintained and were very modern. However the Wifi could be better as it was not very stable (disconnected every 10 mins). But overall very good hotel, recommended

I’ve been staying in a lot of five star hotels around the world and somehow, Lotte hotel is what true five star treatment looks like. Everything was amazing, the sweetest staff and the location is very nice. There’s a mall with access from the basement of the hotel that has everything you need, grocery store as well! The bathroom has the Japanese bidet. (في شطاف)

Expensive, but thats to be expected. Especially in room dining and mini bar. More people use these if they are reasonably priced in my opinion. One thing bothered me. Having stayed in hundreds of 5 star hotels all over the world this is the first that has NO seating in the lobby. Even modest hotels have something. Others have lavish sofas, or boutique show pieces. Always . Always. So a family normally sits for a few minutes whilst dady checks them in at the reception desk. Or you wait for you visitor in the lobby... of course i dont want insult the management's intelligence-they know this too. So what is the reason behind this mystery? 🤔
